Yesterday was a heavy day of counseling. I still have phone calls to return. Sharon and I were able to do something we rarely get to do yesterday, go to lunch together! We had pizza! While we were eating and a young man came into the pizza place holding a folder, he is looking for a job. I love to see a person so eager to find a job and doing it in a professional manner. They told him to fill out an application. As he was walking out I grabbed him and talked to him about how it is inspiring to see a person so eager and professionally present themselves as someone who can do a good job for a business. I told him God sent me to talk to you and let you know the job is coming soon. Listen to God. He did not back away from me. He stated he had some skeletons in his closet, i said we all do, God knows all, God is going to provide you with a good job. When we have a personal relationship with God he will send us to people, like He told me to get up and go talk to this young man and give Him my message of confidence. God gives us the ways and the words to speak to people. Not our Words but God’s. I can tell you this also that God let’s me know when my words start to go off track as to what he wants me to say. He disrupts my spirit to let me know!
The other day in the mail my Sister Deb, mailed me my Mom’s Confirmation book from 1941. I opened it to page 1. In her hand writing is this: The way to salvation. Then, In the Name of Jesus Christ:
It is God’s Will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. I Tim 2:4
The purpose of this course is to acquaint every student with God’s way of salvation so that he might walk in it.
AMEN! The purpose of all our being is to help bring people to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I will stress to the day I die here on earth, we all must have a personal relationship with HIM.
You will hear HIM, when you do.
He will move you, stop you, tell you what to do and say.
Email me with any questions.
Here is one question I was emailed yesterday………..
I would love your wisdom in how I can simply place my life in His hands and allow Him to take over and make my crooked places straight. I know we must all face challenges. I want to learn to face them with faith first, and rest in the gratitude and knowledge that no matter what, God is in charge and all will be well.
In John 18:37 Jesus says, Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.
You do know the truth, so push all falsehood to the side and focus on what you know as the Gospel truth. Lean entirely on God’s Word.
The Word of God protects us from deception. The Word of God is the bread of life. When you open your Bible today, God will speak to you through His Word and give you what you need for this day and days to come.
It is so wonderful to go to God with all of our concerns and get His answer.
God’s Love and Peace always, Dewey

God’s Grace
There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent,
Old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak. . .
“I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright.
I stopped the lad and asked, “What do you have there, son?”
“Just some old birds,” came the reply.
“What are you going to do with them?” I asked.
“Take ’em home and have fun with ’em,” he answered. “I’m gonna tease ’em and pull out their feathers to make ’em fight. I’m gonna have a real good time.”
“But you’ll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do then?”
“Oh, I got some cats,” said the little boy. “They like birds. I’ll take ’em to them.”
The pastor was silent for a moment. “How much do you want for those birds, son?”
“Huh?? !!! Why, you don’t want them birds, mister. They’re just plain old field birds. They don’t sing. They ain’t even pretty!”
“How much?” the pastor asked again.
The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, “$10?”
The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy’s hand. In a flash, the boy was gone. The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and bysoftly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free. Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, And then the pastor began to tell this story:
One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation.Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden , and he was gloating and boasting. “Yes, sir, I just caught a world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn’t resist. Got ’em all!”
“What are you going to do with them?” Jesus asked. Satan replied, “Oh, I’m gonna have fun! I’m gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I’m gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I’m really gonna have fun!” “And what will you do when you are done with them?” Jesus asked.. “Oh, I’ll kill ’em,” Satan glared proudly. “How much do you want for them?” Jesus asked. “Oh, you don’t want those people. They ain’t no good. Why, you’ll take them and they’ll just hate you. They’ll spit on you, curse you and kill you. You don’t want those people!!”
“How much? He asked again.
Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, “All your blood, tears and your life.”
Jesus said, “DONE!” Then He paid the price.
The pastor picked up the cage and walked from the pulpit.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
I thank God everyday for my life. I’m not rich, don’t live in a mansion, I am “somewhat” healthy, and don’t have the nicest of material things, but, I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food on my table, a family that loves me and lifelong friends to get me through. I’d say I have a lot to be thankful for.
