Once you and I have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, we have the opportunity to learn spiritual principles by which we are to live the Christian life. Many believers, however find that after a period of time in applying those principles, they incorrectly begin to feel self-confident in their, “success” at living the Christian life. And the next thing you know, they’ve experienced a spiritual setback or moral fall of some kind.
Why is it we often seem to start strongly in our Christian walk, and then later discover that we are facing failure in our faith?
As my daddy used to say…..chew on that until we meet again! Lord Willing we will pick up on this Tuesday.
Here is a couple of letters we got over the weekend! Thank you Linda from Colorado and Clyde from Indiana for writing! We love you both! We would love to hear from you!
your e-mail is very timely and I concur, God’s Holy Spirit is the one who leads and guides us into ALL TRUTH, he is our comforter, he is our teacher, he is the one who plays an extremely vital role… the Lord has brought to my attention this past week the following verse, so often heard, but so little REALLY dissected:
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT. (Romans 8:1)
the rest of that chapter BLEW MY SOCKS OFF!!!
YES! the more he teaches us, the more we realize that we can do nothing without him. and that is why satan has come up with a counterfeit; we need to test the spirits, ask for wisdom and discernment, and stay in His precious Word. NOBODY snatches us out of the Father’s hand!
thank you for another cup of blessing, Dewey. xxoo

For years we have been praying that God would stop the carnage of the baby killing in America. We have killed over 40,000,000 (forty million) children. That is more Americans than have been killed in all of the wars that America has been a part of.
This news is the beginning of a great miracle.
Share it with others that you know are praying and Celebrate together!
AND:
Let’s continue to pray and repent as citizens of this nation for America’s sin in this area.
God often allows the sins of a group of people on others to be returned upon them.
We need His mercy,

ABORTION CLINICS CLOSING AT UNPRECEDENTED RATE IN U.S.
For Abby Johnson, the closing of a single Planned Parenthood centre demonstrated her dramatic reversal from abortion clinic director to leading pro-life advocate. But for pro-lifers throughout the United States, it marked another exhibit in a hopeful trend — abortion centres are shutting down at an unprecedented rate. The total so far this year is 44, according to a pro-life organization that tracks clinic operations. None was more telling for Johnson than the closing of the Planned Parenthood centre in Bryan, Texas. It came less than four years after Johnson, burdened by her involvement with abortion, walked out of that clinic as its director and into the offices of the Coalition for Life.”
Knowing that the former abortion clinic I once ran is now closing is the biggest personal victory of my life,” Johnson said in a written statement after the announcement of the shutdown. “From running that facility, to then advocating for its closure, and now celebrating that dream … it shows that my life has indeed come full circle.” Since her celebrated conversion from Planned Parenthood director, Johnson has started a ministry to help workers leave the abortion industry. She has pledged to “fight until every abortion clinic in this country has shut its doors.”
This year, 42 clinics that provided surgical abortions have shut their doors, and two that offered chemical abortions by drugs also have closed, according to Operation Rescue, which monitors closings and health and safety violations by clinics nationwide. That number far surpasses the 25 surgical clinics shutdown last year and the 30 in 2011, by Operation Rescue’s count. Some of the shutdowns have been of major clinics. For instance, Virginia’s No. 1 abortion provider shut down after state and local governments enacted regulations the abortion provider appeared unable to meet. The northern Virginia clinic performed 3,066 abortions in 2012 and 3,567 in 2011.
The reasons given for the upswing in closings are varied even among pro-lifers. They include the increasing state regulation and oversight of clinics, a growth in pro-life opinion and activity, and a decline in the abortion rate. In some cases, clinics have shut down when abortion doctors retired or were no longer licensed. State legislatures enacted 69 pro-life laws this year, according to a report by Americans United for Life. The legislative action this year continued a recent trend in states. Seventy”life-affirming measures” became law in 2011 and 38 in 2012. according to Americans United for Life (AUL).
Some measures have targeted making the procedure and clinics safer for women, and have helped escalate the number of clinic shutdowns. This year, some states have passed laws requiring abortion clinics to meet the same health and safety standards as outpatient surgical centres. Also, in 2013, North Dakota and Wisconsin joined Alabama and Texas in mandating abortion doctors have admitting privileges at local hospitals. While pro-lifers assert the laws are for the protection of women, abortion rights advocates argue their purpose is to stop abortion. Regardless, the result appears to be abortion clinics are being held accountable in ways they have not been previously.
“Considering the growing body of medical evidence confirming the health risks of abortion for women, abortion cannot be left in the hands of an unmonitored, unregulated and uncaring industry feeding off fear and federal subsidies,” AUL President Charmaine Yoest said in a written statement. The Guttmacher Institute, a research organization affiliated with the abortion rights movement, charged that such laws “are a solution in search of a problem, a cynical ploy to advance an agenda that seeks to make it more and more difficult for women to obtain an abortion, with the ultimate goal of eliminating U.S. women’s access to safe and legal abortion.”

What is consuming you? What is on top of your mind?
September 30, 2013. If you are blessed with only one loving and loyal friend in your life, you are a rich person. Your friendships will be tested. But in the end, your loving and loyal friend will be with you until and beyond the end. Should you desire more such friends you must continually show yourself friendly. A true friend will walk with you through hard times and rescue you from trouble and disaster. Blessings abound when there is such loyalty. There will be an everlasting legacy with such a friend. Stay close.

This is just a reminder. Draw your mind your emotions your actions back to center on My ways, My paths and My truth. Concentrate on the depth of My word. Seek ways to find the depths of My heart and you will crest the waves of My blessings. Seek to know Me as I know you.

When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer. But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,” Bev Robinson

TWO completely different stories that:
A: will teach you things about certain individuals I didn’t know and few probably do;
B: tie the TWO stories together in a way you won’t believe…
I didn’t know !!!… Make sure you read all the way through both !!!…
Two Great True Stories
STORY NUMBER ONE
Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago . Capone wasn’t
famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in
everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder.
Capone had a lawyer nicknamed “Easy Eddie.” He was Capone’s lawyer
for a good reason. Eddie was very good! In fact, Eddie’s skill at legal maneuvering
kept Big Al out of jail for a long time.
To show his appreciation, Capone paid him very well. Not only was the
money big, but Eddie got special dividends, as well. For instance, he and
his family occupied a fenced-in mansion with live-in help and all of the
conveniences of the day. The estate was so large that it filled an entire
Chicago City block.
Eddie lived the high life of the Chicago mob and gave little
consideration to the atrocity that went on around him.
Eddie did have one soft spot, however. He had a son that he loved
dearly. Eddie saw to it that his young son had clothes, cars, and a good
education. Nothing was withheld. Price was no object.
And, despite his involvement with organized crime, Eddie even tried
to teach him
right from wrong. Eddie wanted his son to be a better man than he was.
Yet, with all his wealth and influence, there were two things he
couldn’t give his son; he couldn’t pass on a good name or a good example.
One day, Easy Eddie reached a difficult decision. Easy Eddie wanted
to rectify wrongs he had done.
He decided he would go to the authorities and tell the truth about Al
“Scarface” Capone, clean up his tarnished name, and offer his son some
semblance of integrity. To do this, he would have to testify against The
Mob, and he knew that the cost would be great. So, he testified.
Within the year, Easy Eddie’s life ended in a blaze of gunfire on a
lonely Chicago Street . But in his eyes, he had given his son the greatest
gift he had to offer, at the greatest price he could ever pay.
Police removed from his pockets a rosary, a crucifix, a religious medallion,
and a poem clipped from a magazine.
The poem read:
“The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to
tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour. Now is the only
time you own. Live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in time. For the
clock may soon be still.”
STORY NUMBER TWO
World War II produced many heroes. One such man was Lieutenant
Commander Butch O’Hare.
He was a fighter pilot assigned to the aircraft carrier Lexington in
the South Pacific.
One day his entire squadron was sent on a mission. After he was
airborne, he looked at his fuel gauge and realized that someone had
forgotten to top off his fuel tank.
He would not have enough fuel to complete his mission and get back to
his ship.
His flight leader told him to return to the carrier. Reluctantly, he
dropped out of formation and headed back to the fleet.
As he was returning to the mother ship, he saw something that turned
his blood cold; a squadron of Japanese aircraft was speeding its way toward
the American fleet.
The American fighters were gone on a sortie, and the fleet was all
but defenseless. He couldn’t reach his squadron and bring them back in time
to save the fleet. Nor could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger.
There was only one thing to do. He must somehow divert them from the
fleet.
Laying aside all thoughts of personal safety, he dove into the
formation of Japanese planes. Wing-mounted 50 caliber’s blazed as he charged
in, attacking one surprised enemy plane and then another. Butch wove in and
out of the now broken formation and fired at as many planes as possible
until all his ammunition was finally spent.
Undaunted, he continued the assault. He dove at the planes, trying to
clip a wing or tail in hopes of damaging as many enemy planes as possible,
rendering them unfit to fly.
Finally, the exasperated Japanese squadron took off in another
direction.
Deeply relieved, Butch O’Hare and his tattered fighter limped back to
the carrier.
Upon arrival, he reported in and related the
event surrounding his return. The film from the gun-camera mounted on his
plane told the tale. It showed the extent of Butch’s daring attempt to
protect his fleet. He had, in fact, destroyed five enemy aircraft.
This took place on February 20, 1942 , and for that action Butch became the
Navy’s first Ace of W.W.II, and the first Naval Aviator to win the
Congressional Medal of Honor.
A year later Butch was killed in aerial combat at the age of 29. His
home town would not allow the memory of this WW II hero to fade, and today,
O’Hare Airport in Chicago is named in tribute to the courage of this great
man.
So, the next time you find yourself at O’Hare International, give
some thought to visiting Butch’s memorial displaying his statue and his
Medal of Honor. It’s located between Terminals 1 and 2.
SO WHAT DO THESE TWO STORIES HAVE TO DO WITH EACH OTHER?
Butch O’Hare was “Easy Eddie’s” son.
WOW WOW WEE!!!!!
