ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police have made an arrest in the “Baby Angel” case.
They arrested Tiffany Toribio around 4 a.m. this morning…
Investigators released a picture of Toribio on Wednesday night after receiving several tips that the 23-year-old had a son matching the description of the young boy found buried at Alvarado Park on Friday.
Officers picked up Toribio in the area near Central Avenue and 3rd Street late Wednesday night and took her in for questioning.
Toribio is a member of the Zia Pueblo. Her family told police they hadn’t seen her since last Wednesday or her son since last Tuesday.
Wednesday night the investigation led officers to Home Uptown Apartments near Alvarado Park. They searched apartment 69 where they believed Toribio and her son had been at some point.
According to online jail records at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Toribio was booked at 4:46 this morning on an open count of murder, child abuse resulting in death, and negligent child abuse resulting in death or great bodily harm and tampering with evidence.

Just to share the following, because I read this morning from Charles Stanley and saw the connection to the cup today:
From the Dec 2008 In Touch mailing:
“The believer’s self-life is composed of the habits, attitudes, and relationships he or she is unwilling to surrender. Keeping those things from the Lord gives people a sense of independence, which is highly prized in our current culture. However, by following “self,” we interfere with God’s purpose. He wants every aspect of our life submitted to His will.”

Then he reminded of the story in the Bible of “Jonah, who mistook rebellion for freedom…”
“There is only one true liberty: walking in the full obedience to the Lord. Jonah obeyed with his body but not with his heart. And his bitterness shows that stubbornly clinging to our self-life is a snare for the spirit. Unhealthy routines, like thick weeds in our path, prevent us from moving forward. So God is determined to break us loose form any hindrance.”

Also to share 2 amazing scriptures…but aren’t all scriptures amazing???….just that in my life, the following scriptures have been today’s living WORD:

“A man’s mind plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps and makes them sure.” Proverbs 16:9

“Roll your works upon the LORD (commit and trust them wholly to HIM; HE will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to HIS will, and ) so your plans will be established and succeed.” Proverbs 16:3

WOW what a touching time with Dr. Bright. I am so thankful for the wonderful Ministry programs on KKIM! Now listen on Thursday as Dr. Bright will be back on at 7am with Dennis and Bob.

Surrender your whole being to Him

to be used for righteous purposes. Romans 6:13

The heart of worship is surrender.

Surrender is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the word submission.
In today’s competitive culture we are taught to never give up and never give in—-so we don’t hear much about surrendering. But surrendering to God is the heart of worship. It is the natural response to God’s amazing love and mercy.

I would like to share with you two devotional pieces from Oswald Chambers……..

After Surrender Then What?

“I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” John 17:4

True Surrender is not simply surrender of our external life but surrender of our will—-and once that is done, surrender is complete. The greatest crises we ever face is the surrender of our will. Yet God never forces a person’s will into surrender and He never begs. He patiently waits until that person willingly yields to Him. And once that battle has been fought, it never needs to be fought again.

Arguments or Obedience?

“The simplicity that is in Christ…..” 2 Cor. 11:3

You cannot think through spiritual confusion to make things clear; to make things clear, you must obey. In intellectual matters you can think things out, but in spiritual matters you will only think yourself into further wandering thoughts and more confusion. If there is something in your life upon which God has put His pressure, then obey Him in that matter. Bring all your “arguments and…….every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” regarding the matter. and everything will become as clear as daylight to you 2 Cor 10:5

WOW! I have to read that again………Isn’t Oswald Chambers so wonderful!

I am so thankful for all the People of God I have been meeting over the last couple of weeks! The Lord is giving me such an AWESOME opportunity to make new friends! Sharon and I are so thankful for your friendship!

Let us pray………..

Oh Lord, make us sensitive to Your presence with us today, Lord Jesus, that we may honor You with our actions, our words, and our thoughts. Let us surrender all to You!
