Dear Family of Jesus,

Thanks for coming by,we love you so much in the love of Jesus Christ! AMEN!

Today my Dear Friends, The Lord wants you to see the fruits of Revival in the Church……..

We are having a great debate in this Country as we get closer to the Election. last nights debate, wow you needed a knife to cut that tension, as my Daddy used to say. That tension that was right there in that debate, I felt it right away in my discernment. That tension is all over America, all over the World. We have only one Deliverer from this Worldly tension, that is the Lord Jesus Christ For months, really years God has been moving in my life to get me to this point. I have sought great Godly council from Godly Men and Women to get to this point to step out and establish For God’s Glory Alone Ministries. It has been prophesied over me 4 times in the last year that I am a Watchman on the Wall….too sound the alarm for God to His people…. to step out of my comfort zone as manager of KKIM and to follow God, He moved me out! To help move God’s people, the church forward to influence and impact society in a powerful way for God’s Glory Alone! www.fggam.org To bring Revival to God’s people.This is where Sharon and I are at. We look to God each day and ask,” What do we do this day Daddy?” “What do we say to your people this day?” Our prayers are with you and yours today and all days.

This is the scripture God has given me this day…….

I Am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vine-dresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit (that stops bearing) He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes ever branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.

I started my involvement with Revival with Kyle Martin and Time to Revive. www.timetorevive.com I am on the Board, years ago they started with a Tent Revival in Dallas, went to Santa Fe, NM where I met Kyle. We did a live Press Conference during the Revival because he was accused of Preaching hate! Kyle was preaching the Truth in love, being Salt and Light. I cannot begin to tell you all the seeds that revival planted in New Mexico! Many miracles happened, many happening today. Kyle’s Revival brought forth fruit of other Revivals in New Mexico, brought the Holy Spirit upon the State Legislature to stop ungodly legislation. We have more Christians running for Public office. The Holy Spirit came upon Church’s to come together! We now have Catholics and Evangelicals meeting together in in New Mexico, people in North Carolina were amazed by that! That started with Kyle’s Revival! I still see the benefits of that Revival to this day! Read below and you will see that Pastor Jim Montoya’s Revival and Revival’s put on my others, like Barbara Gould were planted by Kyle’s Revival! Hope In Today’s revival has touched hearts here in New Mexico. AM 730 Birga and Dan interviewed me from Efland, NC during the Revival….those words go into the atmosphere, For God’s Glory Alone! Yesterday’s CUP posting on Karen and Robert Rowe’s Revival touched the heart of The Family Life Line right here in New Mexico………read on………just one more thing….The seeds that Kyle planted in New Mexico, as I said bore much fruit..it also helped give birth to Hope In Today’s revival in North Carolina. Right now Kyle is in Devils Lake, North Dakota planting seeds.

Good Morning, Dewey,
WOW WOW WOW! Today’s cup inspired me so much………”look at what the Lord has done” I thought as I read through what you had written.
Then I heard the Holy Spirit say to me; “Yes, look what I’ve done through and for The Family Lifeline.”
I was reminded that this IS His work, and that He is taking care of things, and that He is working (as it says in Ephesians) “abundantly above ALL that we can think or imagine!”

Then, when I read the line that you wrote about the revival occurring because of the faith of Karen and her husband, it struck me. “look what the Lord has done. Where is my faith? Where is my heart in being grateful for what the Lord has done, and what He WILL do?!” I was humbled, and repented, and have a new attitude this morning. I know that God will not permit the doors of The Family Lifeline to close. He is inspiring me this morning with renewed energy to get this work done! He is directing my path……..He will be faithful.

Thank you Dewey for sharing. Truly a great testimony, and truly awesome what God did. It was also a great ministry to me this morning!

Praise the Lord for His wonderful works as we get out of our 4 walls and go into parks and highways and byways. Amazing!! Wowie NC!!!! FGGA!
And that is what has happened in the Middle Rio Grande Valley in NM (Fiesta de Amor- Festival of Love) Los Lunas, Belen and Rio Rancho and other places! Tremendous outpouring of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders! (45 baptized, many saved, delivered, healed, restored)

God Bless you Pastor Jim! You helped me in my boldness to hold Revivals and bring the water tank to the City park for Baptisms! We used Karen and Robert Rowe’s swimming pool!

Now when you talk to Revival, many ask, even in the Church, I had a longtime Church goer ask me,”What is a Revival?” This is one of the best definitions of Revival by Jesusalive.cc

 What does it mean to have a revival? A: Historically, revival meant something quite different than what it is often called today. In recent times, revival seems to be focused on emotional experiences, the love of God, laughing, happiness, singing, and dancing. There is little attention given to the bold preaching of God's word. Some churches even schedule revivals. This is in great contrast to the revivals of the past. Some of the greatest revivals in history, lead by such men as Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Finney, etc... had at their center one thing: repentance. The word of God was boldly preached, and people became so convicted about the holiness of God and their total unworthiness, that they fell to their knees in sorrow, contrition, humility, and reverence for God. The floors of the meeting places would be filled with people laying on the floor weeping. People were not focused on God's love, they were focused on God's mercy. The word "revive" means to bring back to life, or to restore. This is what revival is supposed to be about. It is meant to bring back or restore our relationship with the Lord. And, what is it that breaks our fellowship and relationship with God: SIN. How do we bring back to life that fellowship and relationship: confession and repentance. Great revivals of the past were never "scheduled." They happened suddenly and quite unexpectedly. And when they occurred, whole cities and counties were miraculously transformed. As these Christians became renewed in their walk with the Lord, they often found great joy and a renewed passion to share the gospel with the lost. This resulted in many others coming to faith in Christ. It is important to understand this point. In revival, one cannot be revived that was never alive. In other words, revival isn't about reviving or renewing non-Christians, since they have never been alive in the first place, but rather, it is about restoring life BACK to the Christian. Hence, the salvation of non-Christians is not what revival is about, however, it may be a byproduct or result of it. In the Bible, we have a number of examples of what could be considered "revivals" of large groups of people. These revivals shared a common trait: God's people had fallen away from God into a backslidden condition, and as a result, their lives were miserable. However, when they repented and obeyed God, their lives were changed and "revived." For example: (Judges 10) Israel had fallen into idolatry, and "the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel" and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines. Israel then cried out to the Lord in repentance, and God could "no longer bear the misery of Israel" (Judg 10:16). As a result, He sent a new leader to deliver them from captivity. (2 Chr 15) Judah had strayed and backslidden. God raised up Azariah to boldly proclaim His word to King Asa and the people of Judah. As a result, they turned from their backslidden condition back to God, "and the Lord gave them rest" (2 Chr 15:15). The book of Nehemiah contains a great example of what can constitute a true revival. (Neh 1) Nehemiah intercedes on behalf of the sons of Israel in confession and repentance, and asks God for favor before the king to be allowed to return back to Jerusalem after the exile. (Neh 2-4) God grants Nehemiah's request, and allows him to go back to Jerusalem and rebuild the city wall, which had been destroyed when God allowed His people to be conquered because of their disobedience and refusal to repent. (Neh 8) Ezra preached the word of God to the people in the city. (Neh 9) The descendants of Israel confessed their sins "with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them." They spent one-fourth of the day reading from the book of the law, and another fourth in confession and worship. (Neh 9:38) The Levites, priests, and leaders wrote up a new covenant to obey God. (Neh 10) The rest of the people also took an oath to obey God. Two other places to look at are (Joel 2:12-27)(Hosea 14). In addition, in (Dan 9:1-23), Daniel gives us an awesome prayer that should serve as an example to be used in revival. When Christians turn back completely and wholeheartedly to the Lord in repentance, we will experience revival. So many Christians pray for this nation to experience revival and healing, but (2 Chr 7:14) says, "if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land." THIS is the formula for revival and healing. If you are personally in a backslidden condition, this is also how you can experience a revival in your own life. Humble yourself and repent, possibly even fasting, and when you do, you will find refreshing (Acts 3:19), mercy (Prov 28:13), and a new heart and spirit (Ezek 18:31). (Isa 57:15) For thus saith the high and lofty One That inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, With him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, TO REVIVE the spirit of the humble, And to REVIVE the heart of the contrite ones.

Let us now take time to drink this CUP slowly…..I told the folks in Efland, NC that I am not a hit and run Pastor……I want you to take time to absorb this day what the Lord has for you in this CUP. Also when the Lord has me baptize folks they are stuck with me forever as their brother in Christ to help them in their daily walk with Jesus Christ.

The Love of Jesus……………

I wanted to share these two photo’s with you today from the Revival in Efland, NC…….there is no better way to show you folks the Love of Jesus that transpired at the Revival.

Just look at those pictures……..the water was very cold….but the Holy Spirit not only warmed up the water but the hearts, souls, and minds of Kay and Ernie and myself……and many, many others! Praise God!

I want to do my best for you and God to share with you the blessings of Revival and what God did. I cannot begin to do it justice but I will try.

This Revival was so special to me……that may sound selfish but I do not mean it that way.

I find that when I Preach I get blessed and I see God working all over……the Holy Spirit moving all over!

When Karen Rowe the Founder of Hope In Today Ministries asked me to lead the Revival I was extremely honored in our Lord. When I got their we had a conversation about all the speakers and performers…….and I wrote a few notes …….prayed constantly and the Holy Spirit put it all in order!

What was so AWESOME in this Revival there was no conflict or someone asking to go first…….or got their feelings hurt……….etc…….that happens to much in the Church.

This Revival brought all denominations together, people of all races.

Long time Pastor Alston, 72 years young and Preaching the Gospel for years, based right there in Efland, said, “Brother Dewey, you have far exceeded my spiritual expectations.” That right there folks is the Holy Spirit. The time for me went to fast…..In that time I saw a lady in a car by a tree in the park where the Revival Tent had been set up. The Revival had not started, that was on Friday. She had just lost her home and job and was feeling her son wanted her out of his house, she was thinking of ending her life.On Saturday Kay was baptized!

On the day she was baptized Kay told me when she saw me approaching her car, she was afraid that I was going to tell her she must move her car! here me out here Church!……that is the society we have built, we live in….instead of people thinking, HELP HAS ARRIVED!!!!!, we as a society have let FEAR dominate much!

By the way Kay got a job offer in the Revival Tent Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend’s Ernie and Cathy came from New York to the Revival. They were supposed to go to Virginia last week, but a change in plans had them in Efland, NC this weekend, and Ernie was Baptized! Ernie was set free of the past, set free of his past, soul ties that need to be cut, soul ties that only Jesus Christ can cut……as was Kay!

I will tell you this, that Ernie will one day be Preaching it for Jesus!!!!

These are just two of the stories of God from the Revival.

Karen Rowe the Founder of Hope In Today Ministries, to me has one of the best summary’s of the Revival……..

This Revival was the first church service I ever felt free enough to dance in the Spirit! I am forever changed…and built in my faith! The unity in Christ that was at the Revival was amazing! And no doubt God hand placed each person there to begin the multiplication of purity in service and agape love reaching out with love and smiles and hugs and dance and fun and Rejoicing

We have freedom in Jesus Christ….Freedom…He will set us free of all bondage, all unhealthy ties…..too many of us are tied to our past.

Jesus said, “You are Peter upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it” His name was Simon, meaning one who is shifting and shaking. The name has the connotation of being unstable.

In spite of this, Jesus called him Peter, a rock. The potential was inside of Simon to become Peter, one who was stable and solid.

On the day of Pentecost, Peter stood up with a strong anointing and preached a message that caused 3,000 people to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior! The anointing released the potential inside Peter, and the anointing releases the potential in our lives also.

That is what I witnessed at Karen and Rob Rowe’s Revival this past weekend a release of the Power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of many….lives were changed forever and ever AMEN! AMEN! For God’s Glory Alone!

I close with this today……My Dear friend Kyle Martin, I am so blessed to serve on his Board at Time To Revive, is doing Revival’s all over America and has seen the Lord pour down RAIN, healing and cleansing of the land after the Revival’s…….I am here to report that during the last night of the Revival it started to sprinkle and then it turned into a down pour in the morning……blessing the land, healing the land, cleansing the land of Orange County North Carolina.

It took the faith of one Women, Karen Rowe and her husband Rob, and two children Amanda and Daniel……..to hold this Revival.This is a message to us all! We can do the same in the Freedom of Jesus Christ!!!!!!!

I was praying this morning for the Lord to give me a Word that fit’s today’s CUP……here it is……..

But a worldly-minded man does not recognize his need for the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolish and unnecessary to him; neither can he know the fruit of the Spirit, because it is spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

This morning I come to you and ask prayer for Pastor Bill Ruhl who is undergoing medical tests. pastor Bill is a very good friend of this Ministry, he is Vice Chairman of For God’s Glory Alone Ministries. Please keep him in your prayers.

Also please pray for Leroy of Albuquerque, I talked to his wife yesterday and he is not sleeping at night. Please add him to your prayer list.

Over the 14 years or so of doing the CUP I know Church’s put folks on their prayer list, and my prayer is that you will do so, Thanks!

When I was talking to Karen by phone yesterday, The Lord showed me let there be Revival in every Town in America. Karen and I are in agreement on that. Yesterday I talked with Jeanell the grandmother of baby Eden and I mentioned to her, Let’s hold a Revival in Chimayo! The Lord is really impressing upon me that revival starts in our homes, our families, our neighborhoods……I am tired of Pastor’s saying WE NEED A REVIVAL! and they sit still…….It is time! Look at what Kyle Martin is doing around America, Revive Seattle…….Look at what Karen Rowe has started in North Carolina…….we cannot stop……..A Revival it not just held for a weekend, then forgotten..Oh heaven’s NO! Kyle Martin and Time To Revive is such a Godly example on Revival……they still do follow up Revival meetings in Flint, Michigan, Asheville, NC and Santa Fe, NM. Revival is constant, not just a weekend…..follow up on people is so important on how they are doing.

Here is a comment from Ben Lucero owner of Indigio Mortgage in Albuquerque, “Anytime I call For God’s Glory Alone Ministries, Dewey makes himself available to go and help people, I’ve called in the last couple of weeks for Dewey to help with two people in need and he is right there.”

That is what we do for God’s Glory Alone, making ourselves available to people in need. When it comes to helping people and holding Revival’s, Baptisms Marriages, Funerals, etc…follow up is so important, showing the love of Jesus. One of the things I have found is that too many people are forgotten about after the “event” This is not a good testimony, You don’t want to know how often I hear, “My Church never contacted me again!” Of course it is not the Church’s fault all the time, but many times it is.

I had a lady come up to me after a recent Sermon, saying, you are right on, WE, the Body of Christ, so often baptize people and then forget them.

Everything you and I do is a testimony to others, whether good or bad. We are a walking Bible.

We need more people walking for Jesus Christ and go out!

I believe God is calling you to walk for Him even more!

We are becoming a recourse for people………People looking for a Church………People asking asking all sort’s of questions, including who to vote for.

In yesterday’s phone call with Jeanell she wanted to thank you all for praying for baby Eden, she said it just warms the heart of the Family knowing people are constantly praying for Baby Eden. The report yesterday is that she is doing a bit better.

I talked with a man yesterday about producing fruit for our Lord…..bearing fruit…..is your life bearing fruit? Are you producing good fruits for our Lord? That is one way to really decided who to vote for in any election….have they and are they producing good Godly fruits?

Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matt 7:17

Matthew 12:35 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

What other measurement do you need?

Are you Biblical in all you do? Let us strive to do our best for God’s Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!!

At our midweek prayer service, a member requested prayer for a neighbor woman who was having a difficult time and was feeling “just miserable.”

Volunteering to take the request, a man fervently prayed, “O God, bless this miserable woman!” (Gladys Brown, Bucyrus, Ohio. Christian Reader, “Lite Fare.”)

Although this man’s words didn’t quite come out the way he intended, he was practicing the privilege of intercessory prayer. The kind of prayer we pray on behalf of someone else’s needs. If you are a follower of Christ you have the privilege of praying on behalf of others. I’m always encouraged by those who gather here on Wednesday evenings for our prayer service. It’s a great privilege and opportunity for us to meet together and participate in intercessory prayer. We are able to intercede in prayer for others as we lift their needs before our Heavenly Father. But the privilege of intercession is not only for each other’s needs but also for the needs of people who need Christ and interceding for the serious concerns that trouble the world we live in.

We’ve been studying the book of Philippians the last few Sundays, which Paul wrote from prison. It’s a letter written to the church at Philippi and as you read its words you can’t help but notice the joy that was evident in Paul’s life and the joy he desires to see in the lives of those to whom he is writing.
In examining some of the keys to Paul’s joy we’ve noted that one key was the fact that he was concerned about others and was in the practice of praying on their behalf.
That’s what we see in Philippians 1:3,4
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,
This morning we’ll be looking at Philippians 1:9-11 where we’ll see the specifics of his prayer for the Philippians. I believe this passage can encourage each of us in our prayer lives and can help us to pray more effectively for others.
Let’s look at Philippians 1:9-11.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,
10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
v11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
I want you to see five things that Paul prays for the Philippians. These are five things that are needed in all of our lives as followers of Christ and give us a great example of the types of requests we can and should make on behalf of each other through prayer.
First I want you to see that Paul prayed for their love.
Love (v 9)
Look at verse 9 again. Paul begins by praying that their love would abound still more and more. Note here that Paul is not praying for their love to begin. As we’ll see in our studies to come the Philippians showed their love for Paul by their support of him and his ministry. This was a church that was already showing love. They were already doing this right.
What he was praying for was for their love to overflow, to increase, to spill over into the lives of others more and more. It’s like pouring a glass of water. When you fill a glass with water and then add some more it’s going to overflow. And that’s what Paul’s desire for the Philippian believers was that they would be so full of God’s love that it would completely fill them to the point of overflowing into the lives of others.
And it wasn’t just their love for others either but also their love for God.
We learned how closely related love for God and love for others is in our previous study, Loving God, Loving People. The more we love God the more we’ll love others. Our love for others is evidence of our love for God. And if you are truly filled with the love of God your desire will be for others to experience the same love of God you experience.
Sometimes we sing the chorus, “I’ve Got Peace Like a River” and one of the verses to that is, “I’ve Got Love Like an Ocean”. That’s the kind of love that Paul was praying for on behalf of the Philippians. Love that is vast and limitless like the ocean. You can’t love too much. There is always room in our lives for increased love. Even though Paul knew the Philippian believers were showing love he also knew that God’s work in their lives wasn’t finished.
I know this because back in verse 6 Paul says, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
As followers of Christ our goal should be to love more tomorrow than we do today. And hopefully as we get older in our faith we’ll also become more mature in our faith and the more loving we’ll become. And as long as God has us here on earth there will always be room for us to grow in our love. And our desire should be to love God more tomorrow than we do today and to love others more tomorrow than we do today. We will always need more love in our homes and in our churches. I’m thankful for the love that is displayed in this church. But let’s make it our aim to increase our love for God and each other. And let’s be prayerful for one another that our love will increase more and more.
Before we leave this thought I want you to understand something important about the kind of love Paul was talking about. The love that Paul prayed would abound more and more is not a sappy, sentimental kind of love, but its one that is grounded in knowledge and discernment. He says in verse 9, I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment.
Knowledge is, understanding God’s Word. It comes from regularly being taught God’s Word and from us spending time reading His Word and studying it and meditating on it and conforming our lives to God’s likeness from the study of His Word. The Bible helps us to love what God commands. It clarifies His love for us and explains what true love is. By understanding God’s Word we’ll understand how we can truly love God and others. Knowing about love isn’t enough. We also need discernment in applying this knowledge of love to practical everyday situations in life.
We need knowledge and discernment in our love because love isn’t just feelings but love is an act of the will. We must choose to love. I know we’ve talked about this but despite what you hear from society you can decide to love whether you “feel” like it or not. And you can never do what’s right too many times.
Despite how I feel I ought to always be doing what’s right toward my spouse, toward my children, my neighbors, and my parents. We need love that abounds. We need more and more love in our relationship with God and with others. That was Paul’s desire for the Philippian believers and it should be our desire as well. It should be our prayer for others that their love would increase more and more—to overflowing.
The next quality that Paul prayed would be true of the Philippian believers was excellence. Paul prayed for their excellence.
Excellence (v10a)
Look at the first part of verse 10.
that you may approve the things that are excellent
Approve means to put something to the test. I don’t know about you but I catch myself at times realizing I don’t question my priorities nearly as often as I should. I find that in some areas I tend to be a perfectionist. And I can easily become distracted by the perfection of something that is a total waste of time.
Now I think we’re going to see that in many ways the Philippian believers were doing many things right when it came to the practice of their faith. But I think Paul was putting them on guard here and warning them to be careful about becoming sidetracked by things that are good as apposed to devoting themselves to what’s excellent.
I think we can easily get sidetracked. Not necessarily by bad things but by things that are not the best. Things that are good, but not really the most excellent choice for us can easily sidetrack us.
We ought to be praying for one another that we would have a love for those things that are excellent as opposed to those things that are good. The things that really matter and will last for eternity are the types of excellent things that should mark our lives. So many Christians settle for mediocrity.
How many of you plan to watch the Olympics on television this summer? Sure, we’re going to watch some of the Olympics. But is giving two or three hours every evening for two weeks to watching the Olympics on television what’s best?
What about family time? Is it important? Of course it is—I’ll be the first to admit it. But do I choose again and again to miss church on Sunday mornings because we want to have a picnic or we’re on vacation or I feel like I need my rest? What about when it comes to giving? It may be a good thing to buy a new car but does driving a new car make it difficult for me to be faithful in my giving? Life as a follower of Christ is all about choosing the best over the good.
I think sometimes as Christians we get hung up on not making poor choices and overlook that we need to strive for making the best choices. We need to strive for excellence as believers. We should pray as Paul did for excellence, not just in our own lives but excellence in the lives of other believers as well.
Paul also prayed for their integrity. Look at the second part of verse 10…
Integrity (v 10b)
that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ
This word sincere in the original language meant, “judged by sunlight.” Every once in a while I get an old newspaper and glass cleaner and I wash windows at home. Now when the shadows get long around our house I sometimes have to step off to the side and move to a couple of different angles to see if I’ve really gotten the windows clean or if I’ve left any spots. I’m judging the clarity of the glass by sunlight. You probably do that too.
We need in our own lives and we should pray for in the lives of other believers the kind of integrity in our lives that holds up to the sunlight. We need the kind of integrity that hold up when judged by the light of the Son of God. We shouldn’t just be putting on a good show for others but we should be sincerely and genuinely living our lives to please the Lord.
We should be careful that we don’t find ourselves like the man that sat down to supper with his family and said the prayer before the meal. He thanked God for the food, for the hands that prepared it, and for the source of all life. But during the meal he complained about the freshness of the bread, the bitterness of the coffee, and the sharpness of the cheese. His young daughter questioned him, “Dad, do you think God heard the grace today?”
He answered confidently, “Of course.”
Then she asked, “And do you think God heard what you said about the coffee, the cheese, and the bread?” Not so confidently, he answered, “Why, yes, I believe so.”
The little girl concluded, “Then which do you think God believed, Dad?”

This man’s daughter noticed he wasn’t really sincere in his prayer. And we too can be guilty of merely going through the motions of our Christianity at times. We say one thing and the way we live reflects something else entirely. We say we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, but then we live in ways that contradict that. What we need is sincerity and integrity in our lives. Our lives should pass inspection when held up to the light of the Son of God to be judged.
We also need to be sincere in our beliefs so that others can’t use our lives as an excuse for their unbelief. Paul not only prayed that the Philippian believers be sincere but that they be without offense till the day of Christ.
John MacArthur says,

Sometimes children in the most godly homes rebel against the Lord. More often than not, however, an errant child rebels because of the hypocrisy of his parents, knowing that the faith they profess — regardless of how genuine and sincere it may appear to others in the church and community — is not manifested in their private lives. Although that does not excuse the sins of such children, it does make their parents share in the guilt. (MacArthur, J. F. The MacArthur New Testament Commentary: Philippians (electronic ed.) (Php 1:12).)

We need to be careful here and pray for one another as well that we strive to be without offense in that we aren’t guilty of driving others away from Christ by our failure to be sincere in our faith. There is coming a day when we will appear before Christ and we will give Him an account of the way we lived our life. That’s the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:10.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
We won’t have to worry about where we spend eternity if we have trusted Christ as Savior, but we will have to stand before Him and give an account. We see this also in Romans 14:10-12,
But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written: “As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
We know that we’ll give an account of our lives and that should cause us to want to be without offense. The idea conveyed here by the words, without offense in the second half of verse 10, is without stumbling into sin ourselves or causing others to stumble. It’s true we’ll never be perfect while we remain on this earth but it should be our desire as believers to grow in holiness and to rid our lives of sin and not be a stumbling block that leads others to sin.
We need integrity in our lives as believers. The Philippian believers needed it and Paul prayed for their integrity. What a wonderful privilege and opportunity to build one another up through prayer that we would be marked by integrity.
Paul also prayed that they would be fruitful.
Fruitfulness (v 11a)
Look at verse 11.
being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ
Paul prayed that the Philippians would be filled with the fruits of righteousness. Listen to the words of James 2:26…
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
If our faith is real we’re going to be fruitful—but what kind of fruits of righteousness should be evident in the life of the believer? Part of the answer is found in Galatians 5:22-23.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Fruitfulness is also winning others to Christ. Listen to Paul’s words in Romans 1:13,
Now I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.
A fruitful Christian shares the good news of Jesus Christ with others. But fruitfulness isn’t dependent on our efforts. It’s a result of Jesus Christ working through us. Notice the phrase again, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ. They are by Jesus Christ. This is clear in John 15:4, Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
We can’t bear fruit on our own but we do by abiding in Jesus Christ. And the ultimate goal of fruit in the life of the believer is not our glory but God’s glory. When we depend on the strength of the Holy Spirit in our lives and we are living fruitful lives, God is glorified.
Listen to John 15:8 (NASB), By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
Is this our prayer for one another that we would bear much fruit that the father would be glorified?
That’s what Paul concludes his prayer with in verse 11 with the very significant phrase, to the glory and praise of God.
Glory of God (v 11b)
Paul’s prayer for the Philippian believers was also that they would glorify God. This is what the Christian life is all about. It’s about exalting God not ourselves. It’s about giving the glory and praise to God. It’s putting 1 Corinthians 10:31 into practice.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Our words and our actions and everything we do should bring glory to God. If we live lives that are marked by love, excellence, integrity, and fruitfulness, God is going to be glorified. Only God can produce these characteristics in our lives. He is the One who deserves all the credit when these are on display.
Paul’s prayer for the Philippians is a beautiful example to us of how we should be praying for one another. Do you want to energize your prayer life? Do you want to experience true joy—and who doesn’t? Follow Paul’s example and pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ for their love, excellence, integrity, fruitfulness and that above all else that God would be glorified in their lives.
