Dear KKIM Family,
Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one who died. Look, I am alive forever and ever! Revelation 1:18
Thought For the Day: “When you dig a hole for yourself…….you have to throw the dirt on someone.”
I am reading another book, “So you don’t want to go to Church anymore” by Jake Colsen…………it is an AWESOME read!!!
The Lord is moving here in New Mexico…..I pray that you feel the Lord where you are at! We just completed REVIVE SANTA FE, what a HUGE BLESSING!!! May God continue to pour down HIS blessings on Santa Fe!
Now is the time for us all to have a REVIVAL in our relationship with the Lord! Feel HIS spirit move within you!
Let us go to prayer for the following needs……….
Please pray for Pat Lein of Albuquerque whop is suffering from cancer. Pat is undergoing treatment and her daughter Pam asks’s that we all pray for her Mom.
Dewey,
I meant to tell you on the phone yesterday that the reason for Matthew Hill’s (Host of the Matthew Hill show on KKIM weekdays 10am to 11am) absence much of this week is that his wife and three month old son were in an automobile accident this past week. The baby was ok but his wife suffered burns from the airbag and required surgery for a broken collar bone. Needless to say it has been very traumatic for the young father and he has been juggling a hundred things. Just wanted you to know why he was not on the air this week.

Matthew sent this…………
prayer is always needed. please pray and tell everyone “thanks”
Matthew
Here is an update on Amy who we have been praying for………….
Thank you for asking Dewey. Amy is doing well after her mastectomy.
She is now on a new regime of chemo…..three weeks on chemo on
Monday, one week off, and another three weeks….for 6 rounds. Chemo
is hard. She has it on Monday, and usually “crashes” a bit on Wed.
It is trying on her and she is just plain tired of being “brave” at
times.
Today, a prayer request has surfaced. She was told today her leave
papers and red tape with her employer are all messed up and they have
said if it does not get straightened out by Oct. 5 she will be
terminated (after 20 years or so) and loose her benefits. She was
under the impression she was ok until Jan. or Feb 2009. She has not
been ok’d to return to work until that time because of chemo. She had
no idea anything was missing or that there would be a problem. Her
immediate contacts at the school are doing all they can to straighten
the problem out (this is a little frightening to say the least.) She
says everyone is doing the best they can to help her….it is just
really messed up and in a huge district things get lost in the shuffle
and take time. She wants her insurance coverage to treat the cancer.
She filled out some papers today, made some calls, but prayer would
help, especially prayer for an unusually quick and efficient processing
of the paperwork and a solution of the problem. She needs confirma
tion
that it is all settled so she can focus on getting rid of this cancer.
I am praying that God will not only be her “Great Physician” but the
“Great Benefits Specialist”, “The Great Payroll and Leave Specialist”
and “The Great Controller and Problem Solver of this Situation”.
Dewey, she is so precious to us. We have been so blessed all of these
years and will be for many to come. She is a fighter and a survivor!
Thank you so much prayer warriors for caring and praying. I am so
grateful.
Again, thank you Dewey. Blessings to you and Sharon and Family.

Here is an update on little Saria who fell out of that truck last week………..
Good morning Dewey and all the prayer warriors,
I just wanted to take a minute and give you all an update on Saria Mejia….she appears to be fine after several hours in the hospital and extensive tests. Her cat scan came back negative….praise the Lord….. she did suffer a mild concussion however. But other than that, everything appears fine.
The power of PRAYER….. thanks to all of you.. Have a blessed week…

Here is a note from Sam about Pastor Vic………
Dearest Maria,
Your father is not only in my prayers this morning, but you and your family as well.
Remember the LORD has told us he will not allow anything to be put on us that we cannot handle. Keep the faith. Much Concern, Sam
Here is a note from Pastor Mark Tross on REVIVE SANTA FE………..

Sharon and I have both read this book Kay is talking about……see banner ad at www.mykkim.com The book is AWESOME!!!
Dewey ~
Have you read The Shack, the novel by first-time author William P. Young that has become the #1 New York Times bestseller overnight? It is about a guy who has lost his sweet little daughter to a serial kidnapper. He is heartsick and angry at God and totally miserable. Then one day he finds a note in his mailbox inviting him to come visit the shack where the evidence was found of his daughter’s murder – and it’s from God. It’s not just a phenomenally good story; after you read it, you’re never the same again. And after YOU read it Dewey, you’ll be interested to know that the author will be speaking in New Mexico at 6:30pm on both November 3 + 4 at Cornerstone Fellowship in Artesia. I’ll bet your listeners would be thrilled with an interview for on-air and on your website! Here’s the website for the church where the author will appear http://cornerstonefellowshipnm.com/ and here’s the website for the author’s blog – http://www.windrumors.com/ and for the book www.theshackbook.com, where you can find contact info for the author.

Here was on weekend question………
Are you filled with the LOVE of JESUS like you were the first day you
>believed in HIM?
Dear Dewey,
Oh, Yes!!!! The more I love Jesus, the more I want to love Him and the more He shows me how very close He really is to each one of us.
Thank you for posting the request from “Kay” about the Christian persecution in India. It has been on my heart and in my prayers for the last few weeks. I sponsor a Vincentian seminarian from Kerala who is studying to be a priest in Bangalore. I visited Kerala last November and plan on returning this coming January. These religious priests are so kind and gentle and their ministry is all-embracing. They have a huge retreat center in Muringoor/Potta which ministers to thousands of retreatants every week in seven different languages. Many hearts and minds have experienced conversions and have turned to Christ through their charismatic preaching. I do worry about their safety in this increasing persecution towards Christians. Again, I implore all of your KKIM family to pray for the people in India.
We are truly blessed to have religious freedom in this country. May we always treasure this great gift!
May God bless you and your family and all those who support your ministry.

This is from Gilbert of Gilbert and Friends heard weekdays on KKIM at 2:30………..
Hi Dewey, which love are you or your listeners talking about as there are 4 Greek words that describe that love:
1) Agapao love
2) Phileo love
3) Storge love
4) Thumos love
One love has no emotions, another is the family love, another brotherly love and still another is a very strong desire. I have not mentioned them in their order for a reason. You cannot go to a Strongs Concordance or a Vines dictionary to get the answer, it is impossible to get the true sense of these without going to the Bible and knowing where each word is used.
I’ll be doing a series on these words showing the places where they are used in the Bible and each of their peculiarities – I’ll do it in the series called “Thinking Outside the Box” Love you Dewey, Gilbert www.gilbertandfriends.com
God Bless you Gilbert!!! I am drinking from the coffee cup you gave me, “OLD GUYS RULE”!!!!!! I have to agree after yesterdays softball game….they were calling me Derek Jeter!!!!!!
Here is a note from Cherie………
Dewey, Thank you for all you do to encourage and hold up the believers.
Thank you for your faithfulness. I just needed to write today so you
could let Karen Rowe know that what she shared this morning, 9/19/08
was a needed blessing in my life today and I am grateful she is so
willing to share.
Love, In Christ,

Pastor Don sends this note about former NM Congressman Bill Redmond and Oct. 3rd One Nation Under God Prayer Meeting……….
Hi Dewey,
We had a great day in the Lord today as Bill Redmond spoke to us on the Biblical Roots of American Government. That brother is a wonderful speaker, former pastor, former congressman, whom you know from Los Alamos, etc. If possible, it would be great to play his sermon on KKIM some Sunday, It was dynamic, Dewey, trust me! You can download it from our website.
Do you need for me to do another promo for Oct. 3, “One Nation Under God”? Thanks, Dewey. Let me know. Hope you and Sharon are doing well, her health is improving and your house sells this week. God bless or dios le bendiga.

One Nation Under God is an evening of prayer for us all!
Why do we say the blessing? By Karen Rowe
A Blessing is a gift from God that is received with Praise and Thanksgiving!
Most Christians are taught to say the blessing before we eat…That is to receive our food with Praise and Thanksgiving. To give thanks for the food that God has provided.
Often times, it seems that the Blessing is just overlooked…maybe even considered optional???
People eat out more now days, and in public or private, our thankful heart needs to remain the same. Not to mention humble…
Many times in our family, we rush through the blessing…seemingly to get it over with so we can eat. My son, who is 3 years old, can say a long winded prayer, but never the less, we are speaking to God and God is listening to that young tender heart talk so innocently to HIM, thanking God for his bike, Mud Volcano, his cousins, Matthew and Elicia, Elicia’s bike, Amanda’s bike, his bike and on and on….and then he’ll say thank You God for taking care of me, and protecting me and for loving me…sometimes he has to start again because he forgot to say thank you for the food….all very sweet and precious and I know that God is smiling…so are we…
But sometimes, we just want to get on with dinner…those rough days…
We are hungry, dinner is many times late and we just want to eat and be done for the day.
However, this morning my son and I read a meal time prayer book for kids as we ate.
What a blessing it was!
Not only did we say wonderful words of thanks to God, we acknowledged HIM for all that HE does for us, including HIS son Jesus Christ.
How often do we get so wrapped up in life that we forget to thank the ONE who gave us life?
How selfish of us to think of our belly and tired feet to rush through or skip a prayer to God…to skip talking to God or to rush through a conversation with God is just disrespectful…
HE understands, but still, when it gets right down to it, if God was visibly sitting at our dinner table with us, how differently would we treat our God when we give HIM thanks for our daily bread?
I think of this often, but still fall short…I think from now on, I will give God more respect.
Love and prayers,
Karen Rowe

Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns — September 19, 2008:
The decisions that you make at this time will have the power to change the course of your life. It would behoove you to consider carefully the choices that present themselves at this time, and then seek Me for wisdom and direction. The most propitious options will not necessarily be the most logical according to natural circumstances. Rise up in the realm of the Spirit and choose according to righteous discernment, says the Lord.
Proverbs 11:6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the unfaithful will be caught by their lust.
Galatians 6
7 Do not be deceived God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
