I try to live by that…..but be prepared for some heat………

Last night on NM News and Views I was stating that we need to put a stop to the repeat offenders! Last week we had the story of the thug here in Albuquerque that was arrested for the 125th time!!!!! Charges that included child abuse! I have called for swift justice in these cases and to lock them up and throw the key away.(Maybe not forever and ever) I shared a quote with you weeks ago from Former Notre Dame FB Coach Lou Holtz who said, “20 years ago people talked about responsibility, today they talk about their rights.” AMEN!
We had the sad story last night of the driver who was drunk and killed two young girls Friday night in Santa Fe. He has at least four prior DWI convictions! I was saying last night we need more law and order………more of a Matt Dillon type of justice..meaning common sense and swift action. We are not even giving people the opportunity to take responsibility for their own horrible actions……..we set them free! A caller told me that my comments were not Christian.

I have to say that if one of my Children was a repeat offender and drove the car drunk, he or she would not have a car. I do not care how old that child of mine was 16 or 45! If I had a child and the he or she stole, did drugs etc……repeatedly I would take responsibility for that Child. I would support that child but would not have that child harm others. I know of a couple that put their lives on hold for this very same reason! To take care of their adult child.

It is called responsibility……I dare say it is un Christian like to not assume responsibility and to care for the well being of others.

I am sick and tired of innocent people being killed or harmed by repeat offenders! I am sick and tired of young children being killed by drunk drivers in New Mexico!

Do we think God is going to honor us for standing by watching HIS Children being killed by drunk drivers?

Driving a car and having a license is a privilege, not a RIGHT!

One offense and you lose your license and your car for a year. Second you never drive again. Sad to say if that law was inacted today, New Mexico would have the biggest parking lot in the World!!!!

This will not happen in the near future because the Liquor Industry has a strong hold here in New Mexico……..Lobbyists!!! Follow the money!!!!

My mentor Dr. Larry Bates always says….follow the money and it goes to the Roundhouse! (NM State Capitol)

In the meantime children will continue to be Killed by drunk drivers and the politicians will say this is so sad and it must stop.blah, blah, blah, blah………a bunch of nothing noise…….

It is so sad that Money and prestige means more to some than the lives of others.

It would be easy for me just to go about my day and not take a stand……….But God did not call me to be lazy for HIM!

May our Lord Jesus continue to bless you, Sharon and all those affiliated with KKIM. I have a prayer request My sister-in-law Noelle who is pregnant with identical twin boys had emergency surgery yesterday. She had been assigned to bedrest at Presbyterian Hospital, and was doing good, but for some unknown reason she had a seizure and they had to immediately deliver the babies. Last night it was life threatening for Noelle because the docs could not stop the bleeding. .Last night was scary; her blood would not coagulate, (lots of blood transfusions, etc.). She is doing better today thanks be to God,. The twins are precious; they have a long journey ahead of them. Noelle was only 6 months pregnant. It will be an hour by hour thing for the babies. Please Pray!!! Their names are Orlando Jude, he is 1lb. 13oz and 13.6 inches long and Valdez Joshua is 1 lb. 7 oz. Is 13 inches long. They are so cute! Thanks for your PRAYERS!

Let us pray for these little Children of God………

These little babies are from our God……..Life is precious…we must protect God’s Children…..we must end abortion in this country for God to Bless this nation. Let us bold and stand up for God!

Many assume God will hear them better if they speak louder, shout from a mountaintop, utter the right words, or assume a certain posture. Those on earth need no transmitter to reach the ear of our Almighty Father!

He is right next to you…….he is in your heart and soul!

Dearest Dewey, thank you for that wonderful ‘Cup’ this morning. It always blesses my heart to receive one!
This morning was somewhat special due to an attack from the evil one last night. As I lay down to sleep I felt an overwhelming sense of fear. It came at a thought of my going to a rest home, and being at the mercy of the people that run it. You know of my neck, and how at any time I could become helpless. Even though I Know I could drop at any moment, as we all could. It was just an empty attack, because I know My Creator! I know IF I become ‘helpless’ the Lord will be with me on that New Adventure. I know that thing ‘ that looks like it will overwhelm me’ I will become Victorious through my Savior. Thank You this morning for the reminder of the Power we all have Dewey. I temporarily forgot it. I Praise God for the reminders He always brings to us that sometime forget. in His Grace, sam

Dear KKIM Family,

It was such a blessing to take part in the baptism of Dustin Keith yesterday. Dustin has become a dear friend. I love adult baptisms…….I witnessed two yesterday…….adults committing themselves to the Lord! Both had been baptized before, but are now at a point in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, where they felt moved by the Holy Spirit to ask to be Baptized again.

We have a new Ministry program starting on KKIM this Sunday at 4pm. Chris and Eric Tomlin have become such personal friends of myself and Sharon. They are doing great works at Heights Christian Church and our home Church, Los Lunas Church of God. We are so thankful for their friendship and love. They are both such prayer warriors. I so much appreciate everyone’s prayers! Sharon and I covet your prayers! I am going to ask Chris and Eric to send me a write up on their program to give you an idea what they will be speaking about each week at 4pm on KKIM.

PRAISE GOD: The Lord called me to help start others in Radio Ministry.in the last four years we have helped start 14 new Radio Ministries………that is like 14 New Missionaries for the Lord to be Salt and Light! Let us give thanks to the LORD! For God’s Glory Alone!

I might add, That I am so blessed to have Sharon as my wife. Sharon keeps me in line. She has had to tell me to calm down a bit since my return from NRB. I came back so fired up she had to settle me down so I would not explode into Glory! Sharon is taking on more and more Ministry work for me such as research into matters that need more of a mind than mine! She also helps me prepare my messages here at the Cup and KKIM and when I preach. God has blessed me with Sharon and all of you!

It really hit me on Saturday when I had people coming up to me saying….we pray for you…….We pray for your safety, because of your boldness……….

That humbled me so……..I, like you, just try to fulfill what the Lord is telling me to do. To be the Salt and Light of the World! Let us go forth in Boldness. Once again thanks to the folks at Heights Christian Church for letting us use the Fellowship Hall on Saturday! Huge thanks to Shona Neff for inviting me to take part.

Let me just share this on prayer………We need to pray constantly….we are called to do so……our prayers can be silent words lifted up to the Lord during the work day…….It is so wonderful to be in communication with God all the time!

Chuck Swindoll, Host of Insight For Living heard on KKIM 6:30am and 6:30pm weekdays has written another book! Chuck has to be one of the greatest writers of all time! I have learned so much from him!

The book, is Swindoll’s New Testament Insights, Sharon just ordered it for me! PRAISE GOD! My Sharon sure looks after me! I love her so much!

Anyhow, Chuck was asked about how he intends to spend his remaining years, (Chuck is 75 yrs young)

Swindoll says,

“I want to preach till the last breath in my lungs runs out. Nothing is more bothersome to me than retiring. Weird things happen when you disengage; first you get negative, then you start telling people about your latest surgeries, and eventually you lose touch. I want to stay in touch.”

AMEN to that!

I want to go until I die at the Microphone or sliding into home plate!!!!!!!!!!!!My Grandpa Caraway always told me, “I’d rather wear out than rust out.” Grandpa farmed until age 84 and remained active until the last couple years of his 94 years here on earth.

Here is an update on another fellow who would rather wear out than rust out……..

Rev. Franklin Graham says his father has spoken on the phone in recent months with President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush, and was visited by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. “He’s not offering political advice, but he will offer spiritual advice to anyone who comes to him,” says Franklin. “He’s in pretty good health. His mind is just as sharp as a tack.”

The younger Graham says his father recently finished updating his 1992 book Storm Warning, and is currently working on another book, but slowly — typically an hour of work followed by a nap.

Billy Graham’s glib father-son advice, according to Franklin, was: “Don’t get old.”

The Source of Abundant Joy
In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us —Romans 8:37
Paul was speaking here of the things that might seem likely to separate a saint from the love of God. But the remarkable thing is that nothing can come between the love of God and a saint. The things Paul mentioned in this passage can and do disrupt the close fellowship of our soul with God and separate our natural life from Him. But none of them is able to come between the love of God and the soul of a saint on the spiritual level. The underlying foundation of the Christian faith is the undeserved, limitless miracle of the love of God that was exhibited on the Cross of Calvary; a love that is not earned and can never be. Paul said this is the reason that “in all these things we are more than conquerors.” We are super-victors with a joy that comes from experiencing the very things which look as if they are going to overwhelm us.

Huge waves that would frighten an ordinary swimmer produce a tremendous thrill for the surfer who has ridden them. Let’s apply that to our own circumstances. The things we try to avoid and fight against— tribulation, suffering, and persecution— are the very things that produce abundant joy in us. “We are more than conquerors through Him” “in all these things”; not in spite of them, but in the midst of them. A saint doesn’t know the joy of the Lord in spite of tribulation, but because of it. Paul said, “I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation” (2 Corinthians 7:4 ).

The undiminished radiance, which is the result of abundant joy, is not built on anything passing, but on the love of God that nothing can change. And the experiences of life, whether they are everyday events or terrifying ones, are powerless to “separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” ( Romans 8:39 ).
