Dear KKIM/KARS
May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!
I get many notes saying that you save the CUPS and read them again and again or have them translated to another language and then forward them.WOW How God works! How God uses us! AMAZING! Just give it all to God.
I loved the work of Paul Harvey……and one of the things that made him such a great broadcaster was he stressed points and did not hurry on………I encourage you not to hurry today as you read the CUP….let the words of wisdom I am sharing with you soak in………
D.L. Moody, “Give me a man who says, This one thing I do…. not These fifty I dabble in.”
Please pray for Grace’s friend Sarah, whose Mother passed away.
Please pray for all those being effected by the flood waters in Tennessee. I was texting back and forth with Chuck Bates of IRN/USA Radio located in Memphis and he was keeping an eye on the Network and watching the flood waters in the area.
“We go astray when we think that we can do spiritual work without spiritual power.” AW Tozer
The following quotes come from The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham………Thanks again to Pastor Don Kimbro………this book has helped me so……I refer to it often.
There is no one without faults, not even men of God. They are men of God, not because they are faultless, but because they know their own faults, they strive against them, they do not hide them and are ever ready to correct themselves. Mohandas Gandhi AMEN AMEN to that!!!
Leadership requires awareness of one’s own emotions and depths; awareness of multiple forces shaping perceptions and drives; awareness of the dark and the light and the large consequences of one’s acts.
I have to tell you…….many it seems to me..do not think of the consequences of their actions.
We see the necessity of the burning purpose in a leader and the humility to balance it out!
Now with that…this is one my favorites if not my favorite from the book……..this is how I feel with all the accolades that come my way……..
Billy said, “The one thing I want you to pray for is this: That I will not take credit for the successes of these things whatsoever, because if I do, my lips will turn to clay.”
Billy Graham………so much wisdom………and still giving……….
Love this one two………and this seems to be a huge problem today………Leaders chasing two rabbits at once……..both will escape.
We all really are leaders, in our families, at work, at Church…….etc…….
I encourage you to read, The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham by Harold Myra and Marshall Shelly
I leave you with this today…this is another book that Pastor Mark Scales gave me, The Heart of a Great Pastor by H.B. London Jr. and Neil B. Wiseman
I also share this with you to show that the Body of Christ is such a blessing……..I have had so many people give me resources to be a excellent Pastor. I am so thankful for their love and care.
Just like the Congregation at Cross of Hope adopting me as a leader in the Community to pray for me everyday……….that blows me away IN GOODNESS……..God is GREAT…..I am always blown away when I find that people have been praying for me…….they just don’t say it……..THEY ARE DOING IT!!!! THE POWER OF THE BODY OF CHRIST WHEN IT COMES TOGETHER LIKE HERE AT THE CUP IS AWESOME!!!! Love ya much Kay!
This is one of my motto’s everyday……..
THE TIME HAS COME TO SPEAK TO THE DEEPEST NEEDS OF HUMAN BEINGS AND SECULAR SOCIETY WITH SOUL SERIOUSNESS AND SUPERNATURURAL BIBLICAL AUTHORITY.
AMEN!
Let us pray…………
Lord, Thank you for the Body of Christ…….Thank you for the wisdom you give us……..the insights…….the boldness……..In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
