I have to say that there is nothing more powerful when you know your calling from God!

My prayer today is that this CUP will be so strong it will motivate you to get up and move BOLDY IN CHRIST!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we got Michael moved back to Albuquerque from NM State. He will be living with us for the summer and working at Sandia Labs! My nieces Emily and Megan Rogers are graduating, Emily from Worthington, Minn High School and Megan from St. Cloud St. in St. Cloud, Minn.

All this is making me feel OLD!, and grateful for such good kids!

It is so important for us to be cheerleaders for our kids!

This past weekend I was outside and one of the neighbor kids who is not outside much had his basketball and was shooting basket’s…….I said Mike can I play with you? he said, sure…..I would like to play with you anytime….he is a Freshman in High School…..we shot the ball around and he said he was not good at much! Yes he said he was not good at much in life!!……….we had a long talk…..even got the baseball mitts out and had him play catch with me……..he said he had never really played catch!!!!!!!!!!! My heart was with Mike.He just needs someone to play with and talk with…he has parents…….but some parents are all tied up in their own world.

I am here to tell you there are a lot of Mikes out there………We need to reach out!

Kids are not outside much anymore playing computer games….watching dvd’s etc……people skills go down with no interaction!

Yesterday when I was with Michael and Greg in Las Cruces eating at a restaurant in the booth next to us I heard a man talking to his friend about leaving his wife……I then heard him leave a message for his wife on the phone that she was not the women she was and he wanted to see the kids……..

I got up and went to the booth they were sitting in and introduced myself…….and talked to the young man a bit……the second man I have talked to this week that had resigned themselves that divorce was the only option. I went through a divorce years ago…..I was told lies by others…..that your children will get over it! Hogwash…..the kids never do.It does permanent damage. Everybody loses in Divorce. My Dear, Dear friend Christian Attorney David Standridge got on his knees and begged my ex-wife not to divorce……

…God gives me the word’s everyday to speak and write……..to make myself vulnerable……..I am here to serve God and you! If one wants a divorce, one wants a divorce……..

I am thankful for my Sharon. I do not like the things that cause divorce. Some are forced out of marriages by the other spouse wanting out or forced out by ugly things.

Here is the deal………Jesus knew know walls in his Ministry here on earth……..I love to bring the message of Jesus…….I know no walls……..Radio, TV, The CUP, my legs…know no walls…….I love to get my hands dirty for Jesus and reach out and touch others and deal with the everyday issues people face……..wether it is Mike the neighborhood kid, the man in the booth next to me……You can’t tell me Jesus would not have gotten up and talked to the man……..or the man at the truck rental place who started out so rude to Greg and me..WOW! I had not been so Rudely treated by someone in a longtime…this guy certainly was not a happy camper…I said sir you are being so rude! he said I am not! He continued to be rude and I said Sir, you better get me the owner or manager……..he went to the back and came back nice!

We have to remember……….many do not see their problems………they only see their misery and the faults of others.

My Mentor’s tell me and I believe so, that my calling is to serve others for Jesus……

I am reading this book on Spiritual leadership for the 21st Century, “They Smell Like Sheep” by Dr. Lynn Anderson….here is a quote from the book………

We need leaders to show us how to handle alcohol, money, sex, temptation, and burn out.

AMEN to that…….we need leaders to get out of the office…..out of the pulpit…………and onto the street!!!!

We need leaders to meet people where they are at! We need leaders that get there hands dirty, that roll up their sleeves…….

I’m wondering if you would be so kind as to mention in your Daily Cup an upcoming event we are hosting at the Northeast Church of Christ here in Albuquerque this coming weekend? I imagine that you, and probably some of your Daily Cup readers, are familiar with the TV program, In Search of the Lord’s Way. It is a preaching ministry that is broadcast here in our area weekly via KWBQ TV 19 on Sunday mornings, and via KAZQ TV 32 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. The Northeast congregation, along with other area churches of Christ, help to financially support the local airing of the program.

The In Search of the Lord’s Way television ministry is now in its 30th year of continuous broadcasting. What began as a local TV ministry, on one station in Edmond , OK in September 1980, has grown to become one of the most watched and listened to programs of its type. Mack Lyon has been the only speaker in the long history of this program, that is, until last year when Phil Sanders was added to the staff.

SEARCH potentially takes the gospel into the homes and hearts of 225 million Americans each week. It is among the top three religious television programs in America . SEARCH is presently aired on 72 broadcast markets, nearly 300 cable systems, five satellite systems, and 50 radio stations. The program is also broadcast in several foreign countries, and it can be seen via the world-wide web across the globe.

Both Mack Lyon and Phil Sanders will be here in Albuquerque this coming weekend – May 15 & 16. They will speak several times at the Northeast Church of Christ – on Saturday at 2 and 3 p.m. Then on Sunday at 9:30, 10:30 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out to meet in person, and to hear both Mack Lyon and Phil Sanders. I love it in Jesus that we hear from many different Church’s, denominations.we have no denominations here at KKIM/KARS/CUP we are here to serve God.who has no walls……

I have to tell you…this….would you pray for me……I am getting so many phone calls….so many emails…….so many people wanting to meet with me on their needs…..I feel bad when I cannot answer everybody .I also know am at the point where I do not remember everyone in my 54 years here on earth….I know I broke a young man’s heart here awhile back because he said Hi to me and I had to ask him his name. As one friend said to me, my file drawer in my brain only can hold so many names! LOL! LOL! A lady talked to me at the softball field the other night and wanted to know how we are doing and so forth, do you think I could remember her name?

I am meeting so many people……..making so many friends in Jesus Christ! I wish I could remember all names!

Let us pray…….Lord I pray that all have BOLDNESS IN YOU! That all know their calling from YOU! In Jesus name, AMEN!

I don’t think we need anymore evidence that a REVIVAL is underway in New Mexico……….Thanks to Bill Redmond we had this news for you last night on NM News and Views………Revival started in New Mexico with Kyle Martin”s Revival in Santa Fe in Oct of 08! By the way you can hear Kyle weekdays at 5:30am, 7:35am and 4pm on KKIM and Saturdays at 1:05pm and Sundays at 8:30am.

(Albuquerque) Chuck Colson and Ambassador Michael Novak are coming to NM. The date for there appearance is August 25 in Albq. The focus will be the Manhattan Declaration. The Manhattan Declaration has been signed by people all over the United States who are standing arm in arm and speaking in a clear and united voice in defense of life, marriage, and religious liberty.
Archbishop Michael Sheehan and Former Congressman and Pastor Bill Redmond are co-chairing the event. As we get more information on the visit to NM by Chuck Colson and Ambassador Michael Novak, we’ll pass it along to you. Stay Tuned.!!
Prayer Needed:

Tony Jaramillo, Jr, just called me and said he was in the emergency room with his father in law, Dale Alink. His wife Michelle took him in because he couldn’t remember. So he is undergoing tests. Please pray for Tony, Audrey, Michelle for strength and support; the doctors to find out what is happening and of course healing for Dale.
