Dewey's Daily Cup

Dear KKIM/KARS family,   May you RISE today and serve our LORD!   KEY VERSE TODAY: The Lord really put this on my heart for us all………   We have been talking about how we have to be about the Father’s business each day and follow His Will not ours……….   From Jeremiah 8:7   “Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord”   Chew on that for awhile…….Look to God’s animals and how obedient they are…….Look to God’s wonderful creations…….and the look at the human flesh and the awful things we do……..   I am reading another book!!!! I loved it when I read how Oswald Chambers just loved to read and was thanking the Lord for all his books to read and bathe in knowledge…….I do the same, I give Praise and Thanks for all the Godly books I am able to get and read….there are many, many!   I would encourage you to read: BATTLEFIELDS BLESSINGS by Jane Hampton Cook Stories of faith and Courage from the Revolutionary War.   Let us pray over this……..   “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you” Romans 12:3   It is such a blessing to share God’s Word with you each day…It is so important to be in God’s Word each day, take it out like a sword and use it when Satan attacks you! Hudson Taylor……….I am waiting on Thee, Lord, to open the way.   and as Billy Bray said, “I must talk to Father about this!   PRAISE GOD!!!   We must be about the Father’s business!   Let us gather together here at the CUP and remind ourselves of these word’s from that great preacher, Charles Spurgeon (by the way Oswald Chambers one of the greatest Christian writers heard Spurgeon preach) anyhow here is a great reminder from Spurgeon…….   The great tyrant has not forgotten you, and he designs your capture and re-enslavement.   A great reminder……that is why Pastor’s fall…Church leaders, Husbands, Wives, Children of God……Satan is after you to capture you to re-enslavement.   That is why it is important to be in God’s Word everyday.to be in constant prayer……..Satan is firing off scud missiles all the time to destroy.   If more would just see that there is such a thing as Spiritual warfare.Many would not fall, but some do not see and believe.   By the Charles Spurgeon, his sermon output was AWESOME for the LORD, more than 3,500! He also wrote several articles and books. he was born in Kelvedon, Essex, England, in 1834. he became known as “The Prince of Preachers” for his inspired oratory. He delivered his first sermon at 16 years of age! He became the Pastor of London’s Metropolitan Tabernacle, the predecessor of today’s megachurches. Amen to your cup today. Too many Pastors preachers etc don’t want to  upset the people and wont preach what God is saying. Not sure HOW I missed this email, but I’ve been wondering how things went with your brother. You story brought tears to my eyes as I know that both you have felt the burden he has lived for so long. God blessed you upon blessing another with God’s blessing. Boy, none of us can out give God can we? Only our God can give so much when we work for him.

You know, as I thought about your conversation with the lady on the airplane and the non-answers she is getting from her church shepherds, that resonates all too well for me. I learned many years ago that we cannot always count on clergy to teach us about Jesus. I’ve come to the conclusion that God would rather us not attend church than to attend churches who have forgotten about him.

I’m grateful for all the church leadership that truly feed and shepherd God’s people. They are out there and I’m so proud to be affiliated with KKIM because you guys really DO surrounds yourselves with genuinely godly and knowledgeable people….and don’t know you we ALL need that in times such as these.
