Dear KKIM Family,
How are you today? Last night Brian Williams NBC news anchor ended his news with saying something like this, “I know the news has been bad this week, but tonight cheer up you can watch a repeat of Saturday Night Live and you will feel better!” I don’t think we need relief that way! People making fun of the Palin family and suggesting bad things, what a way to entertain! That is what is wrong with 99% of the media……..sending out what we call here “NOTHING NOISE” A bunch of sound that means nothing. I feel so bad for people if they are getting their news from secular media.
I am thankful for the Lord to give us New Mexico News and Views weekdays at 4:30 on KKIM and Frank Haley’s news all morning long……..brining you the TRUTH daily is the mission we have from our LORD.
The media and Internet is full of NOTHING NOISE……..I get emails all day long from people grabbing things of the Internet that blasts away at what they call the other side, or the enemy……..
Never pay back evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
Romans 12: 18-21
If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written,
“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord……..
Do not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Here is what I suggest we do and it was sent to us by our buddy Nik……….
Don’t give the devil credit for what’s happening around us but give God praise to bring us through this. Christ will bring us peace in the mist of these storms.
Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns — October 9, 2008:
Rise above fear, flesh, and earthly things so that you can hear My voice, says the Lord. There are many things that compete for your attention. Yet, I do not compete, but stand quietly by waiting for you to come and seek My face so that you can get the wisdom and direction that you need. Focusing your view on things not spiritual will only lead to confusion. But, discernment by My Spirit will lead to good judgment and righteous direction.
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
AMEN!!!!
Now let’s open the mailbag as it is very full!!! I love it!!!! We would love to hear from you!!!!
Hi sir,

Carrie
Please keep praying for Carrie as she recovers!!!
Here is a heart breaking story………but a chance to serve! We have been praying for Aaron Goldman of Los Alamos, he has another procedure next week to see if he has cancer…….but even thou Aaron is going through all that, it has not stopped his work for the LORD!!!! Just read………….What an example Aaron is of Christ’s Love!!!!
Furniture will be collected by the Way and delivered to Birdell Bourdon and her family Saturday morning. If you have any pieces of furniture you could donate, please call Aaron Goldman by Friday evening. Thank you for your help.
People in Need–The Santa Clara Pueblo constitution specifically states that owner of any land in the Pueblo must be a Santa Clara Pueblo male. Birdell Bourdon, her Inuit husband Fred, 5 children, and 3 grandchildren have lived for 30 years on property thought to be Birdell’s by virtue of a will left by her grandfather. Recently the Tribal Council ruled that they had to leave their home and threatened imprisonment if they stayed. Birdell stayed for a month after the deadline and as a result she and Fred spent 60 days in jail while the children were allowed on the property administered by Birdell’s uncle. Upon release from prison, my friends had strict orders not to return to Santa Clara or Espanola or they would be put back in jail. They were given help by “Life Line”, a charity organization in Santa Fe, and are paying $795 plus utilities in an unfurnished house in Nambe. They receive $1000 per month for 9 months but their scant leftover allowance will not go far to a family that made pottery for a living. The children bring clay for them to make bowls and later fire them for the traditional black pottery. While they were in prison, I called the New Mexico Bar Association to find a lawyer who could help and was told that Rothstein was the best and gave me three other names. I called Rothstein and learned that the firm represented the Pueblo. The other three lawyers refused to get involved. It has been my policy not to provide money directly to the family but to give them donations of furniture and help sell their beautiful pottery. Now I am asking for community help. The Bourdons have no furniture in their Nambe home so anything would be helpful. If you are interested in buying pottery, I can show you what is available at prices below market value. If you would consider helping, please see me in Church or call at 662-5959 or email at apgoldman@swcp.com. Aaron Goldman
From Los Alamos, New Mexico……………..we take you to Santa Fe and to our buddy Jose…….I just love the family that God has provided us here at KKIM!!! We love you all…………
Dear Friends,
Please pray for Santa Fe today. Several initiative are being contemplated for our community and your prayers, as we seek the Lord’s direction, are greatly coveted.
As you know, the proclamation of God’s word in Santa Fe has been the subject of much controversy recently.
Today, Thursday, October 9, a small group of believers from all denominations are coming together to seek the Lord’s guidance and direction as we enter the public square in Santa Fe for Him.
Please pray for us. If you have any question, feel free to call us at the Center for Christian Community (505) 438-0437.
God bless you today and thank you for your prayers.
Jose Vasquez
We are praying Jose!!!
Hey Dewey,
I remember fondly being on KKIM in the past and remember our interview
in Santa Fe on the national day of prayer. I just couldn’t remember
where I put your card. I found it behind my drivers license in my
wallet. Like the ruby slippers in the Wizard of Oz. I had it with me
all along. It was on my person every day since May.
Will you be able to post the voter guide on the station web site and
encourage churches, pastors and Christians to download it and use it? I
will be mailing out to 1,000+ churches today, but I know I don’t have
every church in the state. Announcements on KKIM and the PDF at your
web site will help tremendously.
In HIS strong love we abide, Bill Redmond (Former Congressman from New Mexico now Living in Los Alamos and a Dear Friend) PS check out www.mykkim.com for the voters guide.
Here is a note from New Mexico State Senator Mark Boitano……….
Dear Friends of Property Tax Fairness: Attached is an update on various efforts to solve the intolerable problem of Property Tax Lightening:
1. First, we would like YOUR input on Thursday, October 16 at 3:00 at the Fine Arts Gallery of EXPO New Mexico (the old State Fairgrounds) during the Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee. This interim legislative committee is meeting for two days to discuss various tax and revenue initiatives, including the terrible unfairness of our property tax. Three property tax experts (one public, two private) are presenting several potential changes to our property tax law. There is a window for “Public Comment” at 3:00 – the committee needs to hear YOUR stories because not every legislator knows the extent of the problem. Please e-mail me if you plan to attend.
2. There are a variety of administrative hearings and court initiatives in process concerning the inequity, unconstitutionality and uneven application of our property tax law. Also, many of us are extremely concerned about the relationship between the increasing number of short sales and foreclosures in New Mexico and an extremely high property tax burden on those property owners. I’m not aware of any hearings or initiatives grounded on these issues. A meeting is being organized on October 21 at 5:30 in order for all interested persons to hear updates from these parties. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW…
3. A number of organizations, including the Realtors Association of New Mexico (RANM) and the Association of Counties, have organized work groups aimed at recommending changes to our property tax law. Remember, there are two competing interests in the equation — the legitimate revenue needs of the counties vs. the inequitable (and intolerable) tax burden on homeowners.
4. A coalition of legislators will be introducing measures during the next legislative session which begins in January, 2009. We may introduce bills similar to those introduced last year or there may be some new bills. We will need your help lobbying other state lawmakers for their passage. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW…
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
MARK BOITANO
New Mexico State Senate
Thanks for keeping us posted MARK!!!
Greetings and blessings to you Dewey,
I imagine most people don’t recognize all you do for your listeners, and for believers all over, but know that you are making a difference, and doing God’s work here on earth. Thank you is so simple, but sincerely offered to you!

AIG Executives Blow $440,000 After Getting Bailout
If you’d just gotten a government bailout, you might be tempted to hold a retreat at a nice California hotel — and that’s exactly what American International Group (AIG: 3.39, -0.12, -3.41%) employees did.
The committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a hearing on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. to address and examine downfall of AIG, the world’s largest insurance company. The committee planned to discuss the financial excesses and regulatory mistakes that led to AIG’s government bailout.
One of the items discussed was AIG’s expenditure of $440,000 for a corporate retreat at the St. Regis Monarch Beach resort in Dana Point, Calif., about midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. These funds were spent on Sept. 22, a week after the Federal Reserve extended an $85 billion emergency loan to AIG to keep it from going bankrupt due to insurance liabilities.
Click here to see the full hotel bill
According to the receipt from the St. Regis, the eight-day company retreat was a lavish one — $139,000 was spent on hotel rooms, while even more money — $147,301 — was spent on banquets. Another $23,380 was spent on undisclosed spa treatments and another $6,939 was spent on golf. A full $9,980 was spent on room service and food and cocktails at the hotel lounge.
AIG issued a statement saying that “This type of gathering is standard practice in the industry and was planned a year advance of the Federal Reserve’s loan to AIG. We recognize, however, that even activities that have long been considered standard practice may be perceived negatively. As a result, we are reevaluating various aspects of our operations in light of the new times in which we operate.”
According to the statement, the event was held by one of AIG’s insurance subsidiaries, not AIG employees. The attendees were independent life insurance agents who were “top business producers” for AIG. Only about 10% of the attendees were AIG American General employees, and no corporate executives from AIG headquarters attended the meeting, according to the statement.
But the question still remains, couldn’t these “independent” life insurance agents have scaled their activities back a bit in light of the company’s bailout?
The St. Regis Monarch Beach resort is described on its Web site as “a landmark resort of legendary proportions.”
Legendary, indeed.

Here is a note from Bill Graham’s organization……….you cal also send Billy birthday wishes from the www.mykkim.com web site!!! Happy birthday Billy!!! Soon to be 90 years old!!!
Through the outreach of the “Hour of Decision,” KKIM-AM/FM Radio has partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to reach lives for Christ. You’ve been a part of the ministry God called Billy Graham to 60 years ago–preaching the good news of God’s love in-person to nearly 215 million people at hundreds of events and countless millions more via television and radio.
Now, all of the individuals, churches and ministries he has impacted have a unique opportunity to say something in return.
To commemorate Mr. Graham’s 90th birthday on November 7, 2008, the ministry is collecting stories and birthday wishes. All who have been touched by an aspect of Mr. Graham’s ministry are encouraged to visit www.billygraham90.com to share a greeting or a personal story about his ministry.
“My father is a humble man who would never expect to be honored and recognized like this on his birthday,” said Franklin Graham, “We urge all who made a commitment to Jesus Christ through my father’s ministry to share your story or simple greeting, as nothing could uplift him more on this special day.”
Along with providing a place where visitors can submit stories and greetings, www.billygraham90.com also contains resources that “Hour of Decision” radio partners can download to inform others about this birthday celebration
And now let’s turn it over to our dear friend Karen…………..
Good morning! Today I am sharing from my NIV Bible…words that I have underlined that guided me to more understanding from the Book of Revelations. I encourage you to read for understanding in your Bible, as this is to serve as inspiration of a need for knowledge from the WORD of God.
May we remember that the LORD is good and HE loves us and will provide and protect us. HIS mercy is great and HIS promises are full…but so also are HIS expectations of obedience from blatant retaliation from God. HIS wrath comes from HIS righteous right of anger…May we tell someone the good news of Christ today…with an understanding that HE is coming back…and this world will pass as we know it…
Jude 4 …”the grace of our God ” cannot be changed “into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.”
May we thank Jesus today for the gifts that HE gives…He watches over me, guides me and protects me and I give God glory and honor as I praise HIS name!
Revelation 12:9-
“The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth and his angels with him.”
13:1
“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea.
…The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority…
…The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.
…Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”
The Bible warns us not to be deceived and follow signs of great authority…NIV study notes: “According to others, he (the beast) is the final, personal antichrist.”
Revelation 14:9-
“If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.
12
“This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.”
13
“Then I heard a voice form heaven say, “write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
Revelation 19:13-
“He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.”
16 “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
“KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
20
“But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Revelation 20:2-
“He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him form deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.”
4
“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
5
“(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.”
6
“Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.”
Satan’s Doom:
Revelation 20:7-
“When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth…In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
The Dead Are Judged:
Revelation 20:11-
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened.”
“Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 21:2-4
The New Jerusalem:
2)I saw the Holy City , the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3)And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4)He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
7…“He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
8
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars — their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
27
“Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
22:3
“No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”
6
“The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
Jesus Is Coming
Revelation 22:7
“Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”
22:12-
“Behold, I am coming soon!! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.’
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17
“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.”
18
“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy; God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”
20
“He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
May God bless the reading of HIS Word for HIS glory and HIS Kingdom of righteousness.
May we come to Jesus in a humble way and walk with HIM in every way!
For the Glory of God, not for man; not to understand, but to trust in HIS hand.
May we spread HIS word, but to not judge, but only to account for our self to become better focused as an image of Christ…not that we will obtain perfection…but rather by the Strength of HIM who is perfect…be molded into a more perfect heart…
Faith is a gift and according to Hebrews chapter 11, verse 1:
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Our Jesus gives to us by faith…a real and genuine understanding of what is pure, true and righteous. May we live by HIS WORD and not question to understand, but to trust only by HIS hand…
For the Glory of God and the love of HIS people…
Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe
And now Pastor Jesse…………..
29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you” 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region. (Matthew 9)
The term faith is sometimes used as if it means “belief” or “hope.” But faith is really much more than either of these words suggest. According to Hebrews 11:1, “…faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In other words, faith is knowing that the things you hope for are available to you, even when you don’t see any outward signs that they exist. Believers often sincerely “hope” that God will help them– they even pray for hours– but nothing happens without faith. If you don’t understand faith, you won’t know how to operate in God’s system.
