Dear KKIM Family,
We are so blessed to be with you today!
I first want to thank someone who makes this CUP possible everyday……Jannetta LaMort. She is one of God’s angels who makes sure the Cup get’s posted and takes care of www.deweysdailycup.com She is so faithful to the Ministry!!! 🙂
I just got an unspoken prayer request. The family is going to court this morning over divorce matters. Children are involved. Our Almighty father knows……..These are Christian folks going through this. Please pray.
I opened to this scripture this morning………..
If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day! Habakkuk 2:3
What peace that brings to us!
What peace children bring to me! I have told Sharon that if we do not get grand-children soon we will have to adopt! So in the meantime I have become a Great Uncle! My sister Deb mailed me pictures of her wonderful 2 month old granddaughter, Heyden Rogers of Reading, Minnesota. What an ANGEL! Looks just like her Mom, Megan.
I have also have been officially named an Uncle to Chuck and Melissa Bates daughter,
Hayley. Chuck is Co-Host of News and Views with the IRN/USA Radio Network. You can hear News and Views from 11 to 1 weekdays on KKIM. The other day Chuck was talking why he show’s up for work everyday and played on the air Hayley reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. WOW! How touching. By the way Hayley just turned 2.
That is why I get up every morning trying to make a difference for God’s Children. What kind of world do you want them to grow up in?
We are to have Child like faith………there is nothing like the faith of a child……..we should have the same kind of faith.
When I opened the package of pictures from my sister Deb yesterday….it just melted my heart seeing Heyden for the first time. She is now 2 months old.
I am here to serve my Lord and to help prepare a better world for HIS children.
If you have any children I can adopt let me know.
Happy Birthday to Shauna Rampley today she is 29!!!! 🙂 Shauna has been a mentor of mine for years. We are so thankful for her! We are family here at KKIM and the Cup and Shuana means so much to us. I know we are a family in which many of us have not met each other, but through God we are family…….a family of prayer and worship. We are here for you! By the way if you need a tune up on your leadership skills, email me and I will get you in touch with Shauna.
Speaking of family here is a note from Carrie…………..
Hi there,
Just sitting here drinking my coffee out of my KKIM mug you gave me and reading from Oswald Chamber’s “My upmost for his highest”. Today’s reading is based on John 21:17 and the phrase “feed my sheep” and it got me thinking of all you and how much you to do “spend it out”, putting action and effort, not just words, into caring for others. So in case no one has told you lately, you are appreciated. =)
Enjoy your day and rest in Him,
-Carrie
God Bless you for your kind word’s Carrie. caring for each other……..AMEN!
I really seek out Godly men and women to lead……..folks who will give us straight answerers. We seek that out here at the Cup and on KKIM. We are seeking Godly people to lead this state of New Mexico. We have asked State Rep. Nora Espinosa, State Rep. Janice E. Arnold Jones, Pastor Steve Smothermon, and Former Lt. Gov. Walter Bradley to consider running for Gov. of New Mexico. We are to raise up Godly leaders!!!! This fit’s in with helping our Children, preparing the way for them.
Yesterday on New Mexico News and Views we interviewed James Thomas who is running for Mayor of Albuquerque. Here is an email we got after the interview………
Shalom Dewey,
I heard your interview with James Thomas this afternoon. What a breath of fresh air Thomas is. His “yes” is “yes”; his “no” is “no”, just as the Text instructs! I like what he had to say about the necessity of law enforcement folks being able to ask for verification of citizenship and sending folks without visas back to their country. Mr. Thomas said a lot of good things.
I look forward to more interviews!
Shalom Uvracha (peace and blessing),
Chris Tomlin
P.S. See ‘ya at Heights Christian for prayer this evening?
I pray that you will tune into New Mexico News and Views weekdays at 4:30 on KKIM. News and Views just turned 1 year old! We have come a long ways in that short of time, PRAISE GOD!!!! Also, KKIM turns 37 YEARS OLD NEXT MONTH!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!!! KKIM signed on in April of 1972. KKIM FM June of 2007.
Now, here are two AWESOME write up’s on prayer! Also tonight at 7pm Heights Christian Church in Albuquerque open’s it’s doors to all for prayer. Email me if you need details for tonight’s prayer meeting.
Praying for our nation and her leaders
Prayer is an important part of every Christians walk. Especially, when there are activities and legislation that goes against what is morally right and many times a direct violation of God’s Word. In fact, God’s Word gives us a COMMAND to pray for our leaders and those in authority. (I Timothy 2:1)
However, I believe II Chronicles 7:14 is the key verse in our prayer efforts for ourselves and for our nation. In order to affect our culture in a positive and Biblical way we must begin with ourselves. You’ll notice that God says, “if MY people who are call by my name will humble themselves and pray”. He’s talking to believers those who have a relationship with the Father. So we can’t expect the non-believers, non-followers to present their case before God the Father.
The call is for believers to seek God’s face, repent and turn from OUR evil ways. As believers we come to God to confess our sins (He already knows them, we are just agreeing with Him as to what we have done to strain the relationship). We acknowledge our sins, the sins of our families and the sins of our country.
Remember, Nehemiah’s prayer in Nehemiah 1:6b-7, “I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my Father’s house has committed against you. We have acted very wickedly against you. We have not obeyed commandments, decrees and laws your servant Moses gave us.”
So the call to prayer begins with each one of us individually. The nation cannot be what our communities are not. The nation cannot be what our families are not. The nation cannot be what I am not. The prayer seeking divine intervention begins with me and my house. Each family tuned in to our failures, sins, apathy and complacence. Bringing God to bear upon the culture starts with me. It is an individual issue.
BUT, see the promise that God gives in II Chronicles 7:14, “then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and HEAL their land”. This is one of God’s numerous “if – then” statements. IF we humble ourselves, pray, repent and confess THEN God will hear, forgive and heal.
So, the prayer effort must begin with ME and then we encourage others in our household, family, and community to unite together to “humble ourselves, pray, repent and confess”. When is the last time that we unite our neighborhood, congregation, community just to meet to PRAY. It must begin with ME.
The call is not, “if we agree with the president we’ll pray for him”, the call, yea the commandment, is to PRAY for him no matte what the circumstances. Remember, when Paul wrote the words to Timothy that they were under a slave, dictatorial society ruled by Rome. Yet, Paul admonishes Timothy to “pray for all those in authority”.
So, dear friends, let us bring together our families, congregations, friends, and community to fast and pray for healing in our land. God is faithful and God keeps His promises. HE WILL HEAL OUR LAND IF…

Here is an excellent write up on prayer from our Buddy Nic……….
Pray As Jesus Prayed
Pastor Andre Butler
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. — Mark 1:35
When Jesus was on earth, His message was that the Kingdom of God was at hand, repent and believe. He went about preaching the good news of the Kingdom everywhere He went. He was the King, and He had to come to the planet to bring the Kingdom into being.
While He was on the Earth, Jesus showed the disciples how to pray, teaching them to pray as He prayed, because they had asked Him to do so. His life, including His prayer life, was an example to them and to us. Not only did He show them how to pray but He also taught them what to pray for. The prayers of Jesus, along with those of His disciples, helped the Kingdom of God to actually come about.
Prayer does several things.
First: Prayer Brings Manifestation. This means that even though you are in a season of breakthrough, you are going to have to put some time in prayer before you get the full manifestation. For you to walk in breakthrough–whether in your church or in your personal life–you are going to have to help usher it in through your prayers.
Second: Prayer Brings Direction. Jesus was getting wisdom from God about the twelve that He would call to be His apostles, and God gave Him that direction. Obviously, God was calling him to a special time of prayer; He was saying, “Come up here.” Whatever your station in life, you’ll always find reasons not to pray. If you’re a parent with young kids, they’ll keep you awake at night and tired during the day.
If you have a demanding job, that job will require all the energy you give it. There will always be some reason that you can’t find time to pray. Satan, of course, is behind all those reasons not to pray, because when you pray you receive more power, and more power means he is in trouble. There will always be turbulence when you fly from one level to a higher one.
Third: Prayer Brings Anointing. How did Jesus get that anointed? He prayed. Prayer brings forth the anointing. Prayer causes the anointing to manifest in your life. Now, holiness helps, too, because sin will short circuit the anointing, but if you live holy and then spend time with God in prayer, that anointing will rest on you like a coat. You can resonate with the anointing because you spend time in prayer. When you get in God’s presence, God rubs that Holy Ghost anointing on you.
The more you stay in prayer, the more the anointing stays on you. Prayer opens the door for breakthrough in your life and in the lives of those whom you touch!
So be like Jesus and pray as He prayed!
And now let us hear from Karen Rowe………..Host of Hope in Today Saturdays at 7:45am………..
Dear Dewey and KKIM family,
I don’t know why I am writing today, but I just can’t shake the urge to say thank you to all of those who serve the LORD in such amazing ways.
On my heart today is that we all are called to serve the LORD in a way…the way in which God instilled a talent in us.
Just like in a marriage, in a church of family of God, one may not always understand another’s passion in service, in other words, someone may not clean up, but they were serving Cookies to someone that God knew needed a cookie (act of kindness in God)…
Instead of complaining about the mess, may we clean it up in secret…that is a service to the LORD!
..and instead of hindering a service in love…like me telling Dewey to rest…when it was a season of work…
is like Jesus had to tell Peter when he didn’t understand and wanted to spare Jesus death…Jesus said, “Get behind me satan” …sometimes we may tend to try to watch out for another…when we just really need to trust God…
And too…sometimes our confidence or human logic will hinder us in service…
This is just a reminder that we need to stay strong and steadfast in Jesus in ALL things…in good and through bad things that happen…God will lead us forward in good service.
We all need to praise God for the anointing put on us in the name of Jesus.
I realize today that there is a freedom to serve the LORD and not worry about what another thinks…
This is more of a praise to God for all that HE IS!
A God who is capable to do all things and a God who chooses to use us to serve for HIS good.
Also, in general, we…not me or you specifically, but in our nature…we are inherent to judge another for the way that they look, or the way they talk or even for the things that they do or say…which can lead to gossip or complaining…
not to mention …lifestyle choices…we are chosen by God to encourage the timid and pull others from the fire, but not to judge or mistreat another. We are to pray and be at peace as far as it depends on us…
The marriage law is so important because it speaks to the children of the nation of right and wrong. Our TV programs are a choice…what we allow in our homes…it has a power off button and a channel selector…what we choose to watch. I wish many things were different in this world that my children are growing up in, but I choose to teach right from wrong and live according to God’s good rules because they are good for me and they are pleasing in God’s eyes. It is better to cut off your arm if you can’t control it….Self control is a vital virtue in God to keep HIS Spirit free flowing in our very being.
I thank all those who stood up so fiercely for God’s morals…and continue to do so!!!
And may we too continue to share God’s love and compassion to change hearts…
as we continue to share in HIS call for forgiveness…
One of my shows coming up will be on a child’s response to forgiveness…”mommy, you need to say sorry to God and sorry to your self” Simply put, God’s forgiveness is to be received and it is
a truth that sets us free in Jesus!
Behavior is a choice…Always we have a choice…But who are we listening to when we choose? God or Satan? We are enabled by the Spirit, but we are enticed by the flesh.
If someone is reading this today and is confused, look to God for clear direction…read HIS Word in the Bible…get to know God and hear HIM speak to you in your heart. HE will!
Our church is a family of God…God is the Father and we are HIS children. God will lead…we need to follow.
I encourage everyone listening or reading to continue on in the mission that God has called you to do and HE is well pleased. God will carry us where we don’t know where to go and HE will provide for us what we don’t know that we need. All God wants is us to say…Yes, LORD…high high!
Look at Adam and Eve…even before sin…God gave them a job to do.
Look at Cain and Abel…they gave thanks to God for giving it all, but God still expected them to produce and work in the field with all that God provided.
Each had a choice from there and Abel chose to love God in service above all human logic…But Cain chose to be stingy to keep the lifestyle that he wanted or enjoyed…which opened up sin to enter in Cain’s life, which is always crouching at our door.
I don’t know exactly what God is wanting said here, so I am just writing as it comes to me.
God loves us…we serve HIM…we just need to remain focused on God and stay in HIS ways and not look for back door or another way, which opens the door for sin to enter into our life.
In service, sin is crouching … But in Jesus, it has no power over us!
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”
I encourage us to renew our eyes and mind each day in Christ and know that we are following Jesus, as God’s very wind gives us the ability to fly like an eagle and we soar upon HIS wings!
In service, may we remember that God sees our hearts!…We serve God …It’s God we please…and ultimately pleasing God brings good to another/many.
May we continue to encourage each other…
..Our confidence needs to remain strong in God.
Love in Christ sent to all,
Karen Rowe
…I believe…and HIS name is Jesus!

Prayers answered………..
My Church Family,
Do you remember when Pastor Don stood up last Sunday during the announcements and asked me how much we needed to complete our need for the El Salvador Missions Trip? I told him, “Seven Thousand Dollars,” and then he asked me how soon we needed the money and I told him “Three Days.”
“You need seven thousand dollars in three days?” He asked. I agreed.
“Seven thousand dollars in three days.” He repeated. I nodded.
“Seven thousand dollars in three days?” He asked again. I just smiled.
Well, I’m here to tell you that we did not get seven thousand dollars in three days, NO. In fact we got EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS in three hours.
I just want to give God all the glory and let you all know that the El Salvador Team is completely funded for our trip to Apopa, El Salvador, and we head out a week from Friday on March 13th.
I also want to thank each and everyone of you for your generous support and encouragement these last five weeks as we have announced and prepared for what God has for us down in that small Latin American country. Glory be to God for His great provision and His vision for this trip.
Please keep us in your daily prayers before, during and after this mission trip. Thank you once again and to God be glory and honor and power and thanksgiving.
Pastor Mark

Dear God,
Let us lay down our protective outer shell and choose to risk the hidden regions of our hearts that long to love and be loved. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!
