WOW! Pray over those words………chew on those for awhile………The Lord gives us Mastery of fear………….
 
It is absolutely impossible to worry and live in peace at the same time.
 
Joyce Meyer writes in her book, Battlefield of the Mind………peace is not something that can be put on a person….(read that again) it is a fruit of the Spirit! (READ GALATIANS 5:22 PLEASE) and the fruit is the result of abiding in the vine. (READJOHN 15:4 NOW PLEASE) Abiding relates to entering the “rest of God”.(WOW PICTURE THAT IN YOUR MIND!!!!!!!!) spoken of in the fourth chapter of Hebrew as well as other places in the Word of God.
 
My Dear, Dear, friends.it is so important to be ion the WORD everyday.and to be in constant prayer, doing the Father’s Business.
 
What a night of softball for Heights Christian Church!!!!! We won 24-10!!! I went 5 for 5!!! We beat St. Johns catholic Church!!!!!! They had been tough all year, but last night we came through with one of our best games of the year! It was a beautiful calm cool evening in the Duke City!!! I give PRAISE and THANKS to the LORD that I am able to play ball yet at 54……Remember I was told by the Doctor at age 5 that I may never run and play like the other kid’s..so this is so special in the Lord for me!!!!!!!! I have seen the Lord work more than one miracle in my life!!!!!!
 
Please continue to pray for Ryan and Stephanie as they get married today. Lord Willing Sharon and I are headed to the Wedding today in Las Vegas, NM. For those of you out of state.yes there is a Las Vegas, NM!!!
 
We have Karen Rowe here, who is on KKIM Thursdays at 2:45pm to have a CUP with us this morning………it is a follow up on the prayer needs we sent out late last night for Sam and Paul……..Please add Brother Daryl to your list as he moved into his apartment today!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

Amen to your message about prayer!  Here’s a praise to God!  I received that prayer as united with my prayer in the ministry that I do as well, cuz we are all united in one great ministry of Jesus! 
Secondly, my prayers join in for Sam!  I too feel uplifted in Christ just when I see Sam’s name, because I sense Sam’s great faith!
God bless Sam and every ministry in Christ!  I love the unity in the prayer that you included in this cup!  God bless you Dewey for putting these words forward to be spoken by all!

Tonight I met a very lovely lady, Martha, from Mexico who has been praying for Our Ministry and family everyday for more than a year. Thanks to Pastor Jose at Heights Christian Church for introducing us. Martha has been so faithful in her prayers. She prayers everyday for us!!! PRAISE GOD!!!

One of our longtime Readers of the CUP is very ill…………
 
 Dearest Dewey, Sharon and family.
 I have gone to the Doctor and the results from my endless tests have turned out to be pretty bad.
 I am at Stage1 Hep C..  And with that stage the percentage of help thru Chemo is only 20%. So it wasn’t recommended. It wasn’t even recommended for me to have a liver biopsy because of the dangers, instead they gave me another blood test that was sent off to San Diego, or Frisco to see just how damaged my liver is. To give me a time limit.
 But Dewey, the way I see it, The Lord only knows my time limit. If he wants it so, I will still be around in many years from now, and if not I may go tomorrow. Either is OK with me. This is not the end of our adventures, this earth is Not all there is. I will just be moving from one realization to another. Lord Willing he will have mercy on my soul and body and the transformation won’ tbe too tough.
 Bless you and Sharon, Dewey. Your ‘Cups’ bless my heart. And I look forward to them each time I read them,  sometime I miss a day  on the computer, but still read it all thru…
 I love you and Sharon, and have appreciated your uplifting emails for quite a while now. Continue blessing people Dewey, God has given you a gift, to be used for His sake.. Sincerely, sam

Dear Fellow Christian,

Friday Cup of memories/prayer KKIM/DDC

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,

It is back to the Radio ranch today………up and Adam here at 4:30!
 
Cleaning my office at home and going through many boxes I found……….
 
A letter from my Grandpa Caraway dated 1957.I was 1 year old and he addressed the letter to Dewey not my given name, Dwayne, so I guess Grandpa was calling me Dewey when I was 1 year old! He had written me a letter saying that he had a special surprise for me when I cam to the farm……I still have that …….He made me a Rocking horse!!!!!! My Grandpa Caraway was quite the craftsmen!!!! He farmed until he was 84!!! he would make things in his wood shop on the farm and sell the at Church benefits to raise money for the Church! Him and Grandma were very active in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Bergen, Minn. just outside of Windom. It was Grandma Lena Caraway, who back in 1972 told me that I would be a Preacher someday!
 
The envelope that Grandpa mailed the letter in was simply addressed to me (at 1 year old) and Windom, Minn no street address, no zip code and it got to me!!!! Maybe that was common back in 1957…..but it also is an indication to the charm of small town living.
 
Found a picture of Uncle Joe, My Dad, Uncle Willard, and Uncle Burton in front of Joe’s grocery store in Windom, Minn. Burton is dressed in his US Airforce Uniform just returning from Korea.
 
Found the 1993 Eagle Yearbook, Windom High School, they did a tribute to my Dad who  suddenly passed away in 1992 of a heart attack, dad served the School as Transportation Director for many years. I cried when I read the tribute.
 
And can you believe this!!! I found in an envelope with $300.00 worth of US savings bonds made out to Gretchen!!! WOW! Got to be very careful as I go through some of these boxes!!! Okay I am embarrassed to tell you that some of those boxes have not been opened in 15 years since we packed up and moved to New Mexico!!! My bad!!!
 
I have a Praise Note: Brother Daryl signed his papers for his apartment yesterday and also started to look for a job! Would you pray with me that he lands a job?
 
We also got this PRAISE note from Pastor Leonard……as we were altered to a prayer need for Jay Dodge…….
 
Just received word that Jay Dodge will be released from the hospital in a couple hours.  We praise God that is was only extreme vertigo of the inner ear and not his heart or a stroke.  The family wanted me to convey to you there extreme gratefulness for your prayers on behalf of Jay.

Acquiescence is a legal term used to describe an act of a person in knowingly standing by without raising any objection to infringement of his rights, when someone else is unknowingly and honestly putting in his resources under the impression that the said rights actually belong to him. I will add we must have a personal relationship with our LORD……..We must be able to hear our LORD through the Holy Spirit.
 
Oswald Chambers said, “Our Lord never asks us to decide for Him, He asks us to yield to Him-a very different matter.”
 
We must be about our Father’s Business, We must have a personal relationship, We must follow our Father’s Will……..We must read our Bibles to be fed.
 
As we prepare to pray……..let us remember the life of Durango, Colorado Dentist Dr. Thomas Grams and the other nine members of a Christian medical team killed by the Taliban in a remote area of Afghanistan.
 
Brining dental care to thousands of children was a labor of love for the 51 year old Grams. He had been doing this for years with Global Dental relief.
 
An excellent piece in the Albuquerque Journal this morning on Dr. Grams.
 
It’s been about 10 years or more now that the CUP started……..We started as a place were we could gather and pray………..yes the CUP started before I was named Shepherd of KKIM……..How many of you have been reading the CUP for all these years?

Youhave no doubt been hearing about the massive flood disaster in Pakistan that has affected some 20 million people, leaving many homeless and withoutfood, clean water or shelter. The response from the international community hasbeen quite slow. Please pray for a well-coordinated, effective relief response. Pray too that radical Muslims will not be able to exploit thesituation and that many of these people will hear of Jesus Christ and come to know Him through this calamity. (We have contact with a outstanding Pakistani Christian leader who with others is trying to bring relief and needs funding. If you want that information, please let us know.)
  
China– please pray for a delegation of WesternChristian leaders who could have a unique opportunity in October to meet with Chinese public officials, academics and business executives for a forum on the place of reconciliation and faith in society. This initiative that has been sixyears in the making could lead to the development of a China Institute for Peace, an important outcome in the midst of a startling Chinese military build-up. Pray for His favor with government officials as all the arrangements are being made and for God’s open doors for this initiative.
 
4-14 Window Global Summit, Sept. 2-5, Flushing, New York- please pray for this crucial event that will bring together 800 participants from around the world to plan and work together towards the raising up of children from this age group to become His agents of transformation, the next generation of men and women of God to bless our planet. Pray for His anointing and guidance for the organizers and those of us who will be presenting and/or participating.
  
Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization,October 16-25, Cape Town, South Africa- please join in praying for this major event that is concerned with making Christ known throughout the earth. We have been asked to pray for the program (reconciliation is an overall theme) and for the participants, especially for all the visas that need to be gotten from sometimes difficult consulates. Pray also for the unity of the organizing team and finally that the Lord will reveal His glory and manifest His presence as these thousands of Christian leaders gather together.
  
Zimbabwe
Finally, we have been requested to pray for Zimbabwe which is at a crossroads.  It is “a nation still struggling  for justice and peace and where the poor continue to suffer.”Yet “the Church in Zimbabwe is awakening and is on the verge of being used by God to transform this awesome nation, creating godly discipleship models in all sectors of the national economy..”.
