Dewey's Daily Cup

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,   May we all RISE and do the Father’s Business today!   I am called to Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ………I praise God for the abilities to Preach. I Praise God that He brought me, Sharon and Pastor Jim together and that I have been surrounded, swarmed by other Pastors and Godly People to raise me up to a new level for God’s Glory Alone!   My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24 That is my life’s verse…….AMEN!   Nothing can keep God from loving you……….last night as I Preached I talked about all those hurting…..today let us think and pray for all those that are walking around with tremendous pain, anger, and addiction problems.   We had a night of prayer for Lena our 90 year old Prayer Warrior from our Church. Lena has been very ill. She has been in the hospital and just wanted to go home. So last night before Church I tried calling her but no answer, after a night of prayer for her she called and left me a voice message around 8:30pm as my cell phone was dead at that point! PRAISE GOD……   After a night of prayer for Robert Montoya, son of Pastor Jim and Margaret I got a text message at 1:45am this morning that Robert had been released from the Hospital. earlier in the day Robert was in a car wreck!   PRAISE GOD! Lena is and has been a role model for us all at the Los Lunas Church of God…….praying……..she has told me and Sharon that, “I can’t do much anymore, so what I do all day is pray…..pray for everyone.” She is a role model for us all..not only will she pray, she will call and ask how are you doing!!!   There is a message for all of us on how Lena conduct’s herself.   last night in Church we also prayed for longtime Friend of this Ministry Doug Scarborough who heads of the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference each year here in New Mexico……

Since we last talked, I was found to have a stomach that is operating at only 1/3 of normal efficiency which had caused havoc by adding a  tremendous amount of extra acid and causing quite a lot of pain.  Medication I am on is helping considerably but I am not sure what we need to be done long term.  In regards to my heart, I will be flying to Cleveland Clinic to have a  pulmonary ablation.  In simple terms, I will have a section of my heart cauterized with a laser to eliminate malfunctioning neurological activity that has kept my heart in irregular rhythm the past few years.  This guy is one of the best in the country that performs this procedure and it seems that this is the way God is choosing to provide healing.

We also prayed for the Pastor in Florida that says he is going to burn the Quran. Last night on NM News and Views Pastor Larry Moss, Co-Host of the Weekend Edition of NM News and Views with Pastor Mark Tross, stated that he was praying that the Pastor would not burn the Quran because of what will happen……..many Bibles will be burned as a result, many will be killed and even beheaded, and more bad things will result from the burning of the Quran. Pastor Larry said that Satan will have a lot of “FUN” with this. Pastor Larry, known to many as the Father to other Pastor’s here in New Mexico, also said he agrees with the Pastor on his stance on the Quran, but not the act of burning it. I shared my thoughts that the Pastor’s planned action is like taking a big baseball bat and hitting a big bee hive! Let us be in prayer.

We are also praying for  the end of the wild fire in Colorado. Let us be in prayer.

publicize the “Prayer on the Plaza” event which will take place on the
Santa Fe Plaza from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010.

A flyer for the event is attached to this email.

The event is being put together by Judith Nowers, who leads Joyful
Ministries here in Santa Fe.  She is usually at Joyful Ministries during
the
middle of the day (about 10:00-2:00) at (505) 473-1849 – and she will
probably be there all day today, since Joyful Ministries has a service on
Tuesday nights.

Please contact us as soon as is reasonable, since we are less than 3
weeks away from the event.  We are so greatful for all you do to cover
the Christian scene in Santa Fe, and here we are asking for more!  You
are just a blessing to us.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!

My Thompson Chain Reference Bible KJV has been returned.  Alleluia!!!!  I have had this bible for over 25 years since the early 80’s..  This is my Bible tool that I have used over and over again.   It has all my references and all my outlines.  Many key passages are marked and of course I know where they are at.

I received a call this afternoon from an employee of the Post Office telling me that they ha a bible and if I knew a James Montoya from the LLCOG.  I told them you have found my bible.  I was so over joyed….  She said that the bible was found in mail box and returned to the Los Lunas Post Office.  I had lost the bible when we went out ministering door to door south of RAKS.  I was passing out flyers and visiting individually at every house.  I left the bible on the seat of the car and passed out flyers.

It had already been over 3 months.  Can you believe that the Bible was returned unharmed or damaged????  Cover and all.

Here is one more note from Pastor Jim…………..he received a call after his 2:30 program on KKIM……You never know who is listening…….I get asked by beginners in Radio Ministry all the time…is anybody listening? LOL! LOL! Radio Ministry is not for the weak!

This is a great story in Ministry……carrying our the Great Commission…..

Brother Dewey:

Just got a call from a man, listening on KKIM FM from Espanola.  For the past few days or maybe weeks, he has been wanting to call me and visit with him.  Finally, he called me during the 2:30 pm show today.   He said he remembered my number.

He seemed very private and probably would not want his name mentioned.  But he wanted me to pray with him about where to go to church.  He wanted the Lord to lead him to the right church.

He said, “you sounded like a man who was true and honest that I could trust.”  Wow I am taken back by those words of encouragement

Someone is listening out there.  Praise God!!  The intro to the program was a Spanish worship song.

Thanks for sharing Jim……..even thou times are tough economically..we must be on God’s economy and continue to carry out the Great Commission! Reaching people where they are at…..brining the Gospel to them! I give PTRAISE and TANKS to GOD for KKIM FM it has enabled us to Minister in an area of New Mexico that so badly needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!! Will you stand with us?

I thank John Bellew  and Mark Doering leaders for Christ here in New Mexico for being on New Mexico News and Views yesterday. I give PRAISE and THANKS for the family the LORD has built here at KKIM/KARS!

John is owner of Bellew Construction and Reward Wall Systems. John and his Companies are long time sponsors of KKIM. Mark is Chairman of the Board of an Oil and Gas Co. in Texas and lives part time in Santa Fe. Mark is the one that brought Kyle Martin to Santa Fe for the Revival in 2008 and is now the Chairman of the Board of Time to Revive Ministry.(I also am blessed to serve on the Board with Mark) Mark was on NM News and Views to talked about Oil and Gas and Cap and Trade. We learned it costs 1 million to drill on land and 10 times that to drill offshore. Mark says we have a surplus of natural gas and that is a direction we need to go as a Country and gain our independence from OPEC! He also shared that we must build more nuclear power plants. Mark said Cap and Trade is a disaster waiting to happen. You are missing out by not listening to NM News and Views weekdays at 4:30!

LORD, thank you for giving us BOLDNESS……..now my prayer this morning is that more will use it for YOU! In the name of JESUS, AMEN!
