I have been in prayer for our Country, for our World…….
I hope you were able to catch NM News and Views last night………
as the anniversary of 9/11 is on us………The Church has been distracted by wacko Pastor’s. It seems anybody can become a Pastor……..These so called men of God threatening to burn the Quran……so sad..so dumb…..
The focus on the burning of the Quran………has us focusing on the wrong thing…….we need to be remembering the thousands of lives that were lost on 9/11……… an attack on American soil………and the war continues to this day…..in my mind we are in World War III (Many of the wise men that serve as my mentors agree)……..whether we want to admit it or not!
We need to be bringing Revival to the World!
Or as Rick Warren has said, “Global Glory to God!!!!”

Chuck sent me an autographed copy of his new book….I am so thankful for this man of God…….I have learned so much from him and in reading his books and listening to his daily program on KKIM. He has helped me become a better Husband, Father, Employee, Pastor……. he has  helped me so much in my daily walk with Jesus Christ!
Chuck has this quote at the start of his book………
When the Church is absolutely different from the world, she invariably attracts it.

Let us pray for the situation in the Boulder, Colorado area…….over 160 homes have burned to the ground! Can you imagine having your home burn down….no place to go? All your belongings gone? This is just north of us here in New Mexico, like many of you Sharon and I have traveled and stayed in the area. Let us read over this latest report and pray while reading……At last report Nine of the firefighters have lost their homes…..let us pray for these brave souls…….And now the 50 some homes that were destroyed in San Bruno, Calif last night by an apparent gas line explosion. Let us be in prayer………
“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it” Mark 10: 14-15………The Word of our Lord……..WOW! I know you have read that verse many times in your life….but read it again as a child……..Do we really read the Bible in belief? Do we really believe these words spoken by our Lord?
Oh, The Lord has spoken to me today to  share with you the importance of praying for others!

Updated Fourmile Canyon wildfire information as of 8 p.m. on Thursday

Boulder County, Colo. – Boulder County officials provided updated information about the Fourmile Canyon wildfire at a press briefing at 8 p.m. Thursday. The next briefing will be held on Friday at 8 a.m. at the Boulder Reservoir.

No deaths as a result of the fire have been reported. Two firefighters sustained minor injuries and returned to the lines.

The Fourmile Canyon wildfire is still approximately 6,150 acres in size and has forced the mandatory evacuation of more than 3,000 residents living in the steep, rugged and heavily forested foothills west of the City of Boulder. Teams are working to catalog burned structures and to investigate the fire’s cause and origin.

An updated map of the burn area and evacuation perimeter is posted online.

The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 172 structures have been destroyed, 169 of which are homes, and an additional 25 structures that have been damaged.

More than 700 firefighters, from at least 35 local, regional and national agencies are working to contain the active fire. Dozens of aircraft, including heavy fixed-wing air tankers and helitankers, have joined the effort.

Communities east of the Peak-to-Peak Highway, south of Lefthand Canyon Drive, west of Olde Stage Road and north of Boulder Canyon Drive (Colo. Highway 119) will remain evacuated until further notice. Residents will be informed when any evacuations have been lifted.

An emergency shelter is operating at the Boulder YMCA located at 2850 Mapleton Ave. Food, water and insurance resources are available courtesy of the American Red Cross. More information is available on the Mile High Chapter website.

Boulder County has animal control officers on scene conducting animal evacuations when site access becomes available. Animal evacuation information can be obtained by calling 720-564-2942.
An incident call center has been established to assist city and county residents affected by the wildfire. Residents are asked to contact the call center at 303-413-7730 instead of calling 911 unless there is an emergency to report. Information is also available at www.boulderoem.com.
Initial evacuation area still in place
Because of worsening weather predictions that have increased the potential for high winds and more active fire behavior Thursday afternoon, Boulder County officials rescinded the prior decision to open certain neighborhoods in the evacuation area.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, certain communities within the evacuation area were opened to allow residents to gather what they need from their homes and be prepared to evacuate again. Those areas were again closed as of 12:30 p.m., and all residents who entered those areas were asked to leave under a mandatory evacuation order as of 2 p.m. Thursday.

The areas include:

• Boulder Heights
• Pine Brook Hills
• Carriage Hills
• Olde Stage Road
• Lee Hill Drive

PLEASE NOTE: Utilities such as electricity, gas and phones remain off in most of these areas. Since phones are out, residents should not rely on reverse citizen notification to inform them about new evacuations. Sheriff’s deputies patrolled the neighborhoods to let people know they need to evacuate again.

Additionally, the openings of Lefthand Canyon Drive, Sunshine Canyon Drive, Fourmile Canyon Drive and Sugarloaf Road that were tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday were cancelled. Residents should not attempt to return to their homes if they live along any of those roads.

Then last night we received the report of the explosion in California, a gas line, One person has been killed and 53 homes destroyed. Let us pray on that.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Firefighters poured water on flaming and smoldering wreckage early Friday after a massive explosion sent blazes roaring through a neighborhood in the hills south of San Francisco, killing at least one person, destroying more than 50 homes and damaging dozens of others.

Thursday night’s explosion shot a fireball more than 1,000 feet in the air and sent frightened residents fleeing for safety and rushing to get belongings out of burning homes, witnesses said.

Utility officials said a gas line ruptured in the vicinity of the blast, which left a giant crater and sent flames tearing across several suburban blocks in San Bruno just after 6 p.m.

Let us pray on these two situations and also pray for Nicole and her family……..

Dear Dewey,
I have not been able to read your cups on a daily basis, but was sitting here at the computer thinking I would write you a prayer request and up you popped on my email. I would say God is listening.
I have a request, I hope this does not sound selfish or unworthy of a prayer, but I have found through my mission of making jewelry that the Lord has put a path for me to follow. People in my path,opportunities in my path and an abundance of miracles.
I am waiting right now to hear if I have made it into a magazine that I have been working with. Blessing beyond belief. If I get this opportunity it means my life could get back on track and I could be financially secure for a while. This would be such a blessing as I have been hanging on by just a thread and should this come through would be setting my family free for a while of such burdens and continuous stress from living day to day. My house is on the line, insurance, all of the daily needs for a typical life. So I’m asking this without reservation for your followers, if they will, pray for me and my family to have this opportunity come through.

Last night on NM news and Views we had a wonderful talk with Judith Nowers of www.joyfulministries.org She shared with us that Prayer on the Plaza will be held in Santa Fe on Sept. 26th from 1pm to 6pm. Judith also bought up the most interesting research by Barana Research. 95% of Americans pray for themselves and just 5% of Americans pray for others. This research pointed out that in Foreign Countries they pray 95% of the time for others and just 5% of the time for themselves. Judith was encouraging us last night to turn that around! She says she tell’s people to pray for that ice cream place you just went to…pray for their business….Or just like the prayer need Nicole has, let us pray for her business……..I loved what Judith shared because praying for other’s is what the CUP is all about…we gather to pray for those in need…..like the thousands in the Boulder, Colorado area…..those in the San Bruno Calif area. As Judith shared yesterday on NM News and Views, God wants us to pray for others. Let us not focus so much on our needs, but the needs of others…….Sharon and I thank you all who gather here each day to pray with us!!!!
One other pray item………
Last night on NM News and Views we also reported that the Pastor in Florida had called off the burning of the Quran. Then he threatened to reconsider. Let us pray for Pastor Terry Jones.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Evangelist Franklin Graham is joining the chorus of religious leaders asking a Florida pastor to cancel his plans to burn Qurans on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The son of Billy Graham has had his own controversial history with Islam, describing the religion as evil in 2001.

But he says Pastor Terry Jones is going too far if he burns Qurans this Saturday. He said he has tried to call Jones but hasn’t made contact.

Graham, in a statement issued by his North Carolina church, said it’s always wrong to deface or destroy any religion’s holy writings, even those someone disagrees with. He said Jones has the right as an American to burn the Qurans as a political act, but that doesn’t make it right.

As Pastor Larry Moss said on NM News and Views the burning of the Quran would in his mind result in the burning of many Bibles, people being murdered and even beheaded.
Here at the KKIM/KARS this morning we are getting reports of threats against our Country and Military coming out of Afghanistan if the burning of the Quran takes place. Let us be in prayer.
You know when Jesus prayed, it was not like any prayers the disciples had ever heard before. He prayed as if He were talking to a real person, someone who was actually listening to what He said.
Let us learn from Jesus.

Let us be in prayer for all those in need……..I talked to Lean yesterday and she is doing better. PRAISE GOD! Thank you for your prayers for Lena, an AWESOME PRAYER WARRIOR herself at age 90!!!!
