Getting ready for a morning out on God’s green earth and practice softball with my teammates from Heights Christian Church PRAISE GOD!!!!

 

Lord Willing, Sharon and I will be at Christian Family Church of God in Belen on Sunday to share the Word of God. Pastor Richard Garcia has invited us to Preach. We are awaiting updates on Uncle Joe. If your are in the Belen area, I Preach at 10:30, Sharon and I would love to meet you. The Church is located at 318 South 6th Street.

 

I actually took a lunch hour yesterday maybe a 2 hour lunch! I was able to spend time with Lars, he flies out on Sunday, back to Chicago and more school! Our time was so wonderful, Dad’s grab those times and be quiet and you will be so blessed what comes out of the mouths of your children(even when they become adults, yes I am still learning how to be a Parent at age 55!!!!)  when they feel free to speak to you…….Lars shared with me his thoughts on how he has changed just in the two months he has been away, changes for the better. It was such a precious time. Thank you Lord.

 

I had a man come into my office this week and start telling me about his challenges….he would stop and say, “I can’t believe I am telling you this, I have not told anyone this, and then he would resume talking. He needed to clean out his soul…….We need to give one another the opportunity to “clean out the soul” At times we need to be quiet…….Let the Holy Spirit work thru us……..no word’s…..no judgement……….This man just shook his head several times and said, “I can’t believe I have told you this!”…..I told him that I am praying and that he knows what he needs to do now.

 

In just a moment we will have more on the life of Smith Wigglesworth, but this fit’s just what I shares with you…….The power of the Holy Spirit working……..

 

Wigglesworth like Charles Finney (google him today also) believed that the presence of a man filled with God could bring conviction to sinners without even a word being spoken. As he sat opposite a man in a railway carriage, the man suddenly JUMPED UP, exclaimed, “YOU CONVICT ME OF SIN! and went out into another carriage!!!!!!

 

I am just a humble servant of our Lord and I am here everyday, almost anyhow, just to share what God is doing in my life and the life of others. No fancy dancy stuff, just the simple life of a servant, no fancy ministry.

 

I want to tell you, God offers us AWESOME POWER, to work in our lives and the lives of others!

 

I am finding that many times now I do not have to say a word to minister to people, With the presence of the Holy Spirit that AWESOME POWER I talk about comes……..and covers the situation………

 

Soak in God’s Word so you understand the true power of God, The God that raises the sun each day, makes the wind, makes your heart beat, controls the color’s of the season, gave us the birds outside my window singing………..

 

Our God who still has Joe Moede on this earth teaching much to his children and me, when many thought he would be in Heaven by now..But our God is not finished with us until He is finished with us…….

Wigglesworth said this………

 

“If you want to increase in the life of God, then you must settle it in your heart that you will not at anytime resist the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost and fire–the fire burning up everything that would impoverish and destroy you.”

 

He also said………..

 

Voice your position in God and you will be surrounded by all the resources of God in the time of trial!

Who is this man?

 

Smith Wigglesworth, often referred to as ‘the Apostle of Faith,’ was one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal revival that occurred a century ago.

Without human refinement and education he was able to tap into the infinite resources of God to bring divine grace to multitudes.

Thousands came to Christian faith in his meetings, hundreds were healed of serious illnesses and diseases as supernatural signs followed his ministry.

A deep intimacy with his heavenly Father and an unquestioning faith in God’s Word brought spectacular results and provided an example for all true believers of the Gospel.

May this site stir your faith and deepen your vision for the glory of God in our generation.

 

Hi guys. I came across this quote from Smith Wigglesworth today on Facebook:

“You don’t tarry for the Holy Ghost. He has already been given; He is here. You don’t tarry; you receive.” Wigglesworth, The Secret of His Power, pg. 59.

The quote is over 100 years old, made in a time when people, including Christians, were fervently seeking the baptism and filling with the Holy Spirit. People would gather in prayer meetings for hours, days, even weeks, and tarry (wait) for the Holy Spirit to come in power like He did in Acts 2 during the Upper Room prayer meeting. The meetings were called “Tarrying Meetings.” When the Holy Spirit came, incredible manifestations would take place. Speaking in tongues was considered to be the initial evidence that one had been baptized with the Holy Spirit.

In reading books about Smith Wigglesworth, it’s clear he was a man very anointed with the Holy Spirit. Interestingly, he himself sought the baptism with the Holy Spirit for decades until he actually experienced it…decades after he’d already been saved. Once it happened he said, “When a man experiences Pentecost, nothing else will do.” He was finally able to minister with a power that made him unrecognizable to his wife. He felt like every year of ministry he experienced after receiving the baptism with the Holy Spirit was worth 3 or 4 of each year before it happened.

Many people responded on Facebook to the quote by Smith. Here are a few that stood out to me:

“I always hear preachers say, “Come Holy Spirit!” I agree [with Smith] – He doesn’t have to come. He is here already. [I would rather say] “Manifest Your presence, Holy Spirit! [And to the people] Just receive.”         Pastor King

 

“The secret to receiving the Spirit is to realize that He is a person, not some feeling. He talks, thinks, feels, can be hurt. He is the most important Person in my life. Gentle Spirit, I love You.”             Jolayemi Temidayo

 

Now to me, this almost sounds too easy! Just receive. Just believe. But in my experience, it hasn’t been easy. I don’t know why that’s the case, and that motivates me keep pursuing. I believe you feel the same way. If so, let’s keep going and encourage each other along the way.

I’m enclosing with this email a document with several quotes by and about Wigglesworth. Obviously he was just a man, controversial, and flawed like the rest of us. But he had a lot of interesting things to share about the Holy Spirit…and more importantly, he apparently experienced and walked what he talked. Isn’t that also our goal?
