Dear KKIM/KARS family……….
When Sharon and I were at the Christian Family Church of God in Belen, NM this past Sunday…..we got the message from so many that they are so hungry for the truth…..so thirsty…….
I sensed their thirst……..many told me they wished I would have kept going……..
I just gave the words that God gave me to speak…..not mine, but God’s!
I find every time, every time God gives me the words………Just like my Uncle Joe said.
I was prayed up by others prior to Preaching….we all need to be prayed up on everyday!
The part that seemed to hit home is the challenges we are having as a Country……that many are not feeling the economic recovery they keep talking about in Washington. I shared that the answer is not in a political candidate or party, it is in Jesus Christ, we have done a good job as a Country in kicking God out of our Country. This Country is so divided, just as it was during the Vietnam war days……
The answer is in God.
Politicians say they have the answer…..but God is the only answer, let us pray for Politicians that have a personal relationship with Jesus and will do the work of Jesus.
His Word, His 10 Commandments!
We are a Country that is confused and our God is not one of confusion, but clarity, in His Word!
As long as confusion prevails in this Country and God is not allowed in our government, Schools, homes etc……we will remain in confusion.
I have the same old answer……..we must be the Salt and Light and Carry out the Great Commission….that is our Command from our God.
The Lord has really put this on my heart…….so,many of you out there reading this CUP have gone just so far in your relationship with Jesus.
You have stopped growing in our Lord because you are satisfied with your relationship.
You have decided to stop your growth in our Lord and you say this is good…….I’m good, I’m all set.
Did Jesus tell you to stop growing in Him? I do not find that in His Word. He wants all of you! Not 75%, 85% He wants all of you!
We never stop growing in our Lord if we are OPEN to walking further into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
You will never be so excited in your life if you continue to grow in your relationship with Jesus…..read the Word everyday and let it absorb into your heart, mind and soul. Wonderful things in our Lord will happen.
You will be set free…so much freedom………
So don’t stop growing……..you may think you are all set! really?

Let us pray for Ann of Sioux falls, South Dakota this day that she will grow ever so close to God……that she will be surrounded with Angels this day and all days……hat she will see the wisdom that God is trying to hand off to her…….
Let us pray for Al who will go through surgery to unclog his arteries today. We pray for wisdom for the Doctor’s and Nurses, Godly wisdom.
Let us pray for Dan whose wife has left him. Oh God, so many marriages breaking up, You are our only hope in marriage…….Oh God, we pray for your covering of this marriage.
Lord, I thank you for all those out there with Godly marriages who are witnessing to others……..many couples helping others…….
I thank you Lord for my marriage to Sharon..Oh yes, Lord I thank you! I love you! Thank you for my Sharon!
Men be thankful for your marriage……….thankful for your family………
We covet your prayers here at this Ministry……We pray our selves up every morning to prepare for the day.

It all starts with prayer……….let us be in constant prayer………….God is still in the Miracle making Business!!!!!! Sometimes we forget about that!!!!

Slow down and absorb the CUP……..
I believe like Pastor  Rick Warren that the  common challenge for many is that in worship today people are seeking the experience rather than seeking God.
Evangelist Tom Lester says it this way, “Too many Church goers go to Church to feel better, they get out of Church and say to themselves, Oh WOW! I feel better, but then come Monday that experience has worn off and it is back to business as usual.”
If that is you…….what is preventing you from going deeper in your relationship with Jesus?
Fear? Anger? Hurt?
I am working with several people right now who are what I call hiding from God. They say they know God, but they are hurt, angry, etc..but will not become active in their relationship with God and others. They will only go so far….it’s a relationship with God on their terms.
Some suffer from mental illness, divorce, separation…….and some are just lazy in their faith.
We must not leave these children of God on the roadside……..We must pray, we must stick with them…….This is all part of the Great Commission.
If we do not stick with them who will?
But today I ask you to look over your relationship with Jesus Christ……..Is it on your terms?
Our Dear Friend and Mentor Fmr Congressman/Pastor Bill Redmond, (Bill has to be one of the most intelligent Godly men I have ever met, New Mexico is so blessed to have him) Anyhow Bill was on with me last night on NM News and Views talking about the statewide Pastor’s Conference April 14th in Belen. Bill often talks about the writings of Francis Schaeffer.
Francis August Schaeffer (30 January 1912 – 15 May 1984)[1] was an American Evangelical Christian theologian, philosopher, and Presbyterian pastor. He is most famous for his writings and his establishment of the L’Abri community in Switzerland. Opposed to theological modernism, Schaeffer promoted a more Historic Protestant faith and a presuppositional approach to Christian apologetics, which he believed would answer the questions of the age. A number of scholars credit Schaeffer’s ideas with helping spark the rise of the Christian Right in the United States.
A topic that Bill speaks on quite a bit is humanism, and in my devotionals this morning I found this from Francis Schaeffer on Humanism………
Schaeffer writes……..
Humanism has no way to find the universal in the areas of meaning and values…..Humanism has changed the Twenty-third Psalm:
They began——–I am my shepherd
Then———-Sheep are my shepherd
Then——–Everything is my shepherd
Finally——-Nothing is my shepherd.
There is a death wish inherent in humanism.
You many ask, like I get asked, what is Humanism?

The meaning of the phrase “Secular Humanism” has evolved over time. The phrase was first known to have been used in the 1930s,[2] and in 1943, the then Archbishop of Canterbury, William Temple, was reported as warning that the “Christian tradition… was in danger of being undermined by a Secular Humanism which hoped to retain Christian values without Christian faith.”[3] During the 1960s and 1970s the term was embraced by some humanists who considered themselves anti-religious,[4] as well as those who, although not critical of religion in its various guises, preferred a non-religious approach.[5] The release in 1980 of A Secular Humanist Declaration by the newly formed Council for Democratic and Secular Humanism (CODESH, now the Council for Secular Humanism) gave Secular Humanism an organisational identity within the United States.

Humanism is an approach in study, philosophy, or practice that focuses on human values and concerns. The term can mean several things, for example:

  1. A historical movement associated especially with the Italian Renaissance.
  2. An approach to education that uses literary means or a focus on the humanities to inform students.
  3. A variety of perspectives in philosophy and social science which affirm some notion of ‘human nature‘ (by contrast with anti-humanism).
  4. A secular ideology which espouses reason, ethics, and justice, whilst specifically rejecting supernatural and religious dogma as a basis of morality and decision-making.
Look at America now with it’s fascination with this very troubled man Charlie Sheen. Let us pray for this man.
If you took a poll now in our schools and out on the streets in America who would be the top 10 heroes?
I am sad to report it would be more folks on that hero list that fit the humanism side than those of Jesus.
That is why we must continue to be the Salt and Light and we must carry out the Great Commission.

Dear Dewey,
I was built up in the Spirit by just reading the Spiritual words that you wrote in Dewey’s Daily Cup!  Thank you for sharing!
I don’t care who we are, we need to keep our eyes focused on God, praising him and walking with Him…otherwise we will look at all that is against us.  Looking up to God, we see that God is for us!  “and if our God is for us; then who can be against us?”  “and if our God is with us; then what can overcome us?”  This is a song, with the words to the best of my memory, but there is truth in these words!
Our hope is found in the LORD in a powerful way…Reality!  I know this and yet, I needed to built up in the power of the Holy Spirit today, so this is my thank you for serving!
The Spirit has given me a inner strength this morning!  The Spirit has renewed my thinking this morning, which is my attitude!
The only prep time I needed was nothing more than weakly proclaiming faith in who God is this morning as hubby went to work.  There is power in the Holy Spirit!
Then, as I read the Spiritual words in DDC…with believing faith…The Holy Spirit renewed me in whole!
My spirit can get low, but the Holy Spirit raises me up when I praise God.  AND…My spirit is full, when I praise God; When I remain thankful in all things, I am full in the Holy Spirit, so much so I have described the fullness of God as like being a bottle of soda pop that is shook and there is too much joy and peace to contain…praise just has to bubble out!  That is God and the power of the Holy Spirit!  And yet, I can allow myself to get low from being tired, stressed, etc.  We cannot allow negative thoughts to torment us because we have a choice.
In my prayer this morning, I spoke words to God; as a confession and also to remind myself to be submissive, willing to yield and patient…as I was seeking the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome tired and burdensome emotions.  None of us are immune to being provoked, but in Christ all of us are capable to be patient, submissive and willing to yield through the power of the Holy Spirit!  This is where I find the Holy Spirit active in my life!  Seeking God in HIS will and HIS POWER to do the right thing is where I find that the power of God’s love fills my soul to the brim!
Submissive, willing to yield and patient are not words for the weak, but rather POWER under control…SELF-CONTROL is POWER in God!  Unique and beautiful, patient, submissive and willing to yield is remaining in step with the Holy Spirit of God.
From rude drivers (even in law enforcement) with the intent to provoke, to the forgetful when something is important to “me”, especially to remember…when “I would never do that”; In all things that try to come against us…God’s love is special and unique to love, which is a supreme way of living!  We can remember that when someone provokes us; God is not telling them to do that; so we can pray for each other; and as far as it depends on me; we can choose to remain in step with God.  Powerful words to remember are submissive and willing to yield because along with self-control; these are characteristics of the Holy Spirit being active in our life. The fruit of the Spirit…But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Like you Dewey, I too want to share as I learn, because I experience both sides at times; meaning I struggle at times in my own weaknesses, but I know my higher strength!  Life living in the power of God is beautiful and free!  Looking with tired eyes is exhausting and if someone looks long enough; hope seems to dim…YET not gone!  Praise to God simply refocuses our mind on to Spiritual things; and with Spiritual thoughts come a Spiritual power!  We have hope in Jesus Christ who is the Son of the living God!  We are never alone, because God has sent us the Holy Spirit.
We can pray to know the Holy Spirit; and the fullness of God is found in knowing HIM.  Personally, I experienced the Holy Spirit before I even understood who the Holy Spirit was!  He came to me in a way that I first experienced him on my birthday about 10 years ago.  In my testimony, as you may have read on my web site or in the preview of  The Train Whistle, which is not available yet; the part about the 3 streams of water that come up and out of the ground describes God in three forms to me; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  Each steam was an individual with purpose, yet crossed each other to create ONE unity in a perfectly complete set.  Three times God made this statement to me!  and It has taken me nearly ten years to more fully understand!  God showed me the power of knowing HIM as He comes to us as God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; all individual, yet of ONE God.
Currently I am reading “Praying God’s will for your life…A prayerful walk to spiritual well-being”  A quote found in this book quoted “a children’s book called Three in One by Joanne Marxhausen.  The author used the example of an apple with its three parts- -the peel, the flesh and the core- -to point out that those three parts were still just one apple.  Likewise, she described three aspects of God:  the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Three parts, but only one God.  The message of this simple illustration was so clear that I realized we can never truly know God until we know Him in all those ways.”
We live ON this world with trials and troubles, but we are not OF this world!  In Jesus we can live as we ARE made to be a citizen of Heaven through the power of the Holy Spirit.  God is God; and we can sense HIM near, as we can sense His hand on our every need if we will just remain faithful to God and trust HIM…and just choose to do the right thing that pleases God; not the world~ in all that we do, and in all that try’s to come up against us; we can look up and praise God.  The Holy Spirit not only guides and comforts us; HE empowers us.  God is calling us to be holy, because he is holy…
But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.  Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life (Jude 20).
