The cross . . .

My, what a piece of wood! History has idolized it and despised it, gold-plated it and burned it, worn and trashed it. History has done everything to it but ignore it.

That’s the one option the cross does not offer.

No one can ignore it!

Jesus today has many who love his heavenly kingdom, but few who carry His cross; many who yearn for comfort, few who long for distress. Plenty of people He finds to share His banquet, few to share His fast. Everyone desires to take part in His rejoicing, but few are willing to suffer anything for his sake. There are many that follow Jesus as far as the breaking of bread, few as far as drinking the cup of suffering; many that revere His miracles, few that follow him in the indignity of His cross. As I prayed this morning, the Lord as always gave me the words….His Cross…….Sacrifices made………

Today is the 39th birthday of KKIM AM 1000. That is such an important date to me. At times I have to drive by the land of our transmitter site where Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donald Hall signed on KKIM 39 years ago this day. They prayed this whole Ministry up years ago. Shortly after getting KKIM on the air Mr. Hall passed on to heaven in his early 80’s. After Mr. Hall passed on Mrs. Hall was struggling then with finances and had to sell to a group of Montana Broadcasters. Today let us remember the sacrifices made by Mr. and Mrs. Hall. I have searched high and wide for any remaining members of the Hall family and have been unable to find any… maybe you can help? I have pieced together this history and more, that we don’t have time for today,but much of it was covered in our 35th Birthday party at Heights Cumberland. Out of what Mr. and Mrs. Hall started has resulted in thousands giving their lives to Jesus Christ, helping thousands walk closer to our Lord…….KKIM has helped raise up hundred’s of Pastor’s and Church leaders……….This is all because of the heart that Mr. and Mrs Hall had for the Lord and that they were obedient to the Lord and carried His Cross.

I am thankful to be here at KKIM and be the caretaker of this Ministry. I am thankful for the ownership of KKIM, American General Media who provide the support needed to grow and maintain this Ministry and I also thank AGM Market Manager Gary Cox for his support.

Also on behalf of KKIM, I thank all the Ministries and Businesses and Individuals who support KKIM with prayers and financial support.

And to you listeners, without you, there is no Ministry, Thank you for your prayers, love, and gifts.

We now begin our 40th year together….For God’s Glory Alone!

As the Lord would have it, today is also KKIM/KARS newsman Frank Haley’s Birthday!!!!! How about that!!!!! PRAISE GOD for the life of Frank Haley, Broadcast Hall-of-Famer, Frank has been in the news business for over 50 years and is the Salt and Light of news people. I Praise God that the Lord brought Frank here to KKIM/KARS Radio.

When you think of it, we all have been so blessed how the Lord worked through the life of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donald Hall years ago……what they did, is still bearing excellent fruits.

Let us now be in prayer………..

Dewey – my Dad’s funeral is today @ 10a at Calvary. I know you’re very busy, but would appreciate prayers for my large, extended family. There is a lot of hurt amongst them, and I pray that tomorrow’s message is perfect and plants seeds of healing…

Would you be able to put out a prayer request for my friend Jen & her family especially Grace her daughter who has Leukemia and is having to be admitted into the hospital today. Last night on NM News and Views I reported on the death of another child here in New Mexico, a baby….2 years old….killed by his own Mother and live in boyfriend.

I am sick and tired of reporting on the string of Mothers, live in boyfriends, who are killing babies here in New Mexico. We have had many since Jan.

We live in a crazy world…….it is the darkness vs. The Light of Jesus Christ.

We must be the Salt and Light of this World, We must carry out the Great Commission and continue to reach others and give them the Good News of Jesus Christ, we must go into the darkness and shed the light. We must be like Kyle Martin and Time to Revive and go into the darkness of Flint, Michigan, go where the Flint Police Dept. will not go anymore because of the severe crime.But Kyle and his disciples are going into the worst of the worst spots and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, we must do the same here in New Mexico!!!!! 

We must not be afraid to speak to the darkness!!!!!!

Let us keep Kyle and all in our prayers…the City of Flint, thought by many to be the worst of the worst cities in America.

KKIM over the last 39 years, before many prison ministries came about was about the only Ministry in this state that penetrated through the walls of the state prisons here in New Mexico. To this day we still here from time to time from inmates who have been ministered to by KKIM, For God’s Glory Alone!

Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
When we are in the Will of God we are protected and guided by the Holy Spirit, when we are not in the Will of God we will wither.
Our God is not a God of confusion, He is a God of clarity, it is all in His Word.
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves, Do what it says” James 1:22
Are you my friend bearing Godly fruit in your life?
If not, what are you producing for our Lord?
Walk the Talk today and all days………
Do you have the 10 Commandments posted in your home and Church?
Do not merely read the 10 Commandments.
One of the problems we have is that we do not post the 10 Commandments anymore in our homes and church’s and we do not teach on them and abide in them. Some say that is old fashion and they do not pertain to today’s society..well, I would not want to be the one to tell God that!
Jesus set the example of love and obedience. He said,: “If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in His love” John 15:10
Obedience will cause you to learn His commands; love for Christ will motivate you to do them; and fruit will be the result. AMEN! PRAISE GOD!!!!!
The result of obeying the Word is spiritual fruit, Jesus said, “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me” John 15:4
When Jesus emptied Himself and became a human being (see Phil 2:6), He placed Himself in the same relationship with God that we have—-that of a learner (Heb 5:7-9). Although He was God’s Son and was filled with God’s Spirit, Jesus felt the need to maintain a practice of regular, private worship. He prayed early in the morning, throughout the night, and whenever He could get away from others.
There is a song that Four Him sang…..called, Getting back to the Basics! AMEN! That is surely what American Christians need to do. We have gotten away from the basics of Christianity!
The message of Jesus Christ is very simple……drink it in today! AMEN! and Let’s PRAISE GOD! For God’s Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Lord for your holy word. Sanctify us Lord through your holy word of truth. Lord thank you that you sanctified yourself for our sakes that we might be sanctified through the truth. Thank you Lord that you have given us all that we need for life and godliness.
Diane and  I had a spirited conversation on President Obama, everything from praying for his salvation, to why does not he produce his birth certificate, to the Arizona Senate passing the “Birther Bill” yesterday, that anyone running for President must produce proper documents. Diane also commented on the sentiment of Arizona folks on immigration, she supports the Gov there in her push on Immigration.
The Presidential Prayer Team was started after 9/11 and continues on praying for our President and leaders, check out the website and also Diane’s!!!
My thanks to Shona Neff for hooking us up with Diane in this wonderful relationship!
At 3:30 on Dewey’s daily Cup we had Jannetta LaMort with us from Albuquerque Rescue Mission talking about the event there on the day before Easter, Washing of the feet of the homeless…….I will be there, will you? Jannetta is still in need of volunteers and also shoes and socks, as all that get their feet washed get new socks and shoes, a medical team is on hand to help the homeless with any foot problems and other medical folks will be there to help with any other problems. I was there last year and if you come, your life will be changed forever and ever, as seeing people just needing  basic things such as getting their feet washed, clean socks and shoes…a haircut…….we take much for granted and we do not have to go overseas to see it, we can just go anywhere in America to see basic needs.

Good Morning Dewey.  I just received word that a friend of mine, a sales person at Citadel Radio Group, and a great friend to the Broadcast community, Sandy Thompson, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.   Sandy will be going in for surgery and will require chemo and radiation.   Sandy is a wonderful person and I am hoping we could all pray for her and her family.   We love you, Sandy!! J

Your messages are right on. Please pray the Bible study I wrote on Hosea and submitting a proposal to a publisher this month will be published in God’s timing. Hosea’s message is about grace & repentance for sins. You’re right, repentance is not preached or taught enough. I feel like a salmon swimming upstream with the message in this Bible study, but can’t get away from the message the Lord gave to me.

 

Shona told me the taping session went excellent. I asked her to ask you for a DVD copy. I’ll be glad to pay for the DVD and shipping. Please tell me how much and  where to send the check.

 

I’m praying the Lord will bring you the right assistant. Your story reminds me of Moses and when his father in law told him he needed help. I trust God will send you the right person to help you with your needs.

Don’t ever think you are less for needing the help. Our Pastor spoke this Sunday on the importance of order in the family. His message was titled “1+1=1”, meaning that you and your spouse become one, and that your family falls in right behind you. So that when we looked at the families he used for visualization, we saw the head of the family, his wife just behind him, and then their children. But all in a line, they looked like one.

Hey Brother Dewey !
Remember, when you ask for help you are helping others get into the walk of Christ. We must all be involved. Even when someone has needs there are other things that they can help with and be involved in. I remember when I helped in an after school program for kids called “LOGOS”. We were to pray if there was a vacancy for say a teacher or a worship leader. We were not to just work harder and fill the spaces with more of ourselves. We were to trust that the Lord would send the right person at the right time. When we heeded this advice it was great. When we did it ourselves, not waiting for the Lord to fill the need, we didn’t do nearly as well. It was hard for us to leave something blank and not solve the problem ourselves. Listen and pray! Trust that the Lord will speak to you on this matter.
In my heart I feel you are working too hard. You do a great job but if you’re getting tired and don’t have time to sit at the Lord’s feet you will miss the very best. Let Jesus have some time to love on you! When He tells you to do something, do it. If you pray and He isn’t specifically guiding you, then rest in Him!
You are loved and I hope to see your work for a long time. Don’t burn out.

URGENT MESSAGE FROM DEWEY

This is the message that the Lord wanted me to share with you today.He showed me this message………I only write and say the things the Lord has given me………When the Lord moves in us…you feel it…..The Holy Spirit impresses upon you what the message is and He tell’s you how to give it and when to…….and now is the time for us to swallow this bitter pill………..
The problem with much of the American Christian is that it is in too many meetings, meeting after meeting………..and not walking like Jesus did. Jesus knew no walls……he just kept walking……..and walking……..
America Christians need to look at the Chinese Christians for guidance, and not just China, Vietnam and other places.
American Christian’s have allowed  their World to be turned upside down and it is no longer the leader of the Christian World.
Due to our constant sinning, we have lost our credibility in the World.
The World has flipped flopped on us now where they come from oversea’s to Minister to us.
the American Church does not Preach on sin anymore…it is a feel good message.In his Hay day there was not a sermon that Billy Graham ever Preached that he did not Preach on Sin.
The scoreboard shows around 12 to 17% of America goes to Church on Sundays
The scoreboard shows many sins in this country………You know the sins…..everything from Abortion to Turning our back on Israel.
The American Christian is losing it’s battle against Satan……….
It is time to wake up America while there is still time!
That is why we need more Disciples like Kyle Martin and the whole gang at Time To Revive that is hitting the streets and walking the streets of Flint, Michigan……..considered one of the worst, if not the worst cities in America for crime and poverty.
I know my message is not a popular one, even with some people who call themselves Church people, but it is the message my Lord has given to me to give to you.
