That is the Scripture that the Holy Spirit sent to me this day…….

Did you know that when you carry the Bible, Satan has a headache, when
you open it, he collapses, when he sees you reading it, he loses his
strength, AND when you stand on the Word of God, Satan can’t hurt you!

That is from Miki Vasquez in Santa Fe. AMEN! I still am getting comments on, “What was your stand on the end of the world?” That coming from people that tell me they are Christians. We must not stand God’s Word and nothing else…just like Miki’s email says……We STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD!!

One thing I have learned from this false prophecy is that too many people do not read and absorb the Word of God into their heart, souls and minds.

Now also, too many so called Christian Radio stations are messed up on the message they are delivering! Here is an email I got from our friend Ernie who is editor of the largest Christian Radio magazine………

Since we started Christian Radio Guide we have had one focus to
provide you with information that you could use to help your Radio
Ministry. We’ve discussed management issues, programming ideas,
outreach promotions, ways to enhance your stations financial situation
and more.
Let me take a moment to Thank You for your feedback that is helping
shape this publication, our ministry to you.

Not Staying True to His Message
In our very first issue’s Programming Column, God led me to write
about the importance of staying true to the Salvation Message. To keep
our eye on the ball. To put on blinders that would keep us focused on
what is important.
Sadly we have recently seen how not doing that has caused one alleged
Radio Ministry to mislead Billions of people. Yes, Billions!
I’m not speaking of the millions that listened to Harold Camping on
Family Radio, I’m speaking about the Billions of people that watched
Camping’s folly – his great deception – play out in media around the
world.
But there is a tragedy here far greater than the embarrassment of the
mainstream Christian community.

The True Tragedy
For those with fragile faith this could be the tipping point for them
to walk away, now believing that Christianity is a folly, a farce, a
heap of lies.
Those who have not yet come to know Our Lord and Jesus as their
personal Lord and Savior have been handed another rationalization to
walk away when approached. After all, “Who wants to throw in with a
cult, a bunch of wackos like that? Certainly not a rational human
being, certainly not me.”, they may say to themselves.
So their walls will be up, the salvation message, the seed, will fall
on deaf ears. I’m reminded of the parable of the sower in Mark Chapter
4.

A Lot of Work Needed
Clearly the situation has shown us that there is a lot of work to be
done. But, where do we start?
Perhaps we begin with prayerful reflection. Seriously looking at the
programming we provide. God has a message for us in the “Dooms Day
Deception”.
Does your station air programs that focus attention on End Time
predictions, programs that discuss how we are in the end times or the
end times are near? Consider the impact those programs have not only
on your main Christian audience, but also on those who may not have
yet heard or grasped the Salvation Message,.
There is a good chance that those programs will cause people, who do
not have a relationship with Christ, to tune out. Is that what you
want your Ministry to accomplish – to turn away those seeking a
relationship with Jesus? I don’t believe that for a minute.

Getting Caught Up on the Side of The Path
It is easy for us to get caught up in the frenzy, “Hurry to be saved
or you will be damned to Hell.” While that is a true statement on the
surface, factually is isn’t accurate. The Holy Spirit doesn’t always
work in a hurry, for many there is a long process that takes place as
they come to that turning point in their life where they accept Christ
as their Savior and develop a deep relationship with Him that will
last a lifetime.
Jesus speaks directly of those who hurry to faith. Again my reference
to Mark Chapter 4 this time verses 5 and 6 and again in verses 16 and
17.
I humbly submit this premise for your prayerful consideration. At the
end of the day the only thing that matters is focus on the Salvation
Message and God’s love for us leading to acceptance of Jesus as our
Lord and Savior. End Time programs and speculation deflect our
listener’s focus from this.
Consider the possibility that Christ speaking about no one knowing
when the end would come, was also speaking about our life here on
earth. Physiologically we are all in the end time, from the time of
our birth. No one knows when or how, but we will die and if a fringe
program causes someone not to have the opportunity to know Christ as
their Savior, the great deceiver really has done its work and used our
ministry – as it did Camping’s – as its the tool.

In my 55 years I have never seen such violent weather all at one time……..floods in the south, so many tornadoes, worst drought in 100 years in New Mexico with so many wildfires, wildfires in Texas that even burned up horses on the prairie, earthquake’s in Japan and other places in the World…..What does this tell you? Be in your Bible……Fulfill the Great Commission, help bring others to Jesus Christ, be the Salt and Light and occupy the land until HE returns……..Do not get tied up in predicting or worrying about HIS return, follow scripture………

Yesterday I was at home working the phones and email as I recover from my badly sprained ankle..please pray for quick recovery, have much work to do.(please do not tell me I am to old to play softball.The Lord has given me the health to play…..the nurse was SHOCKED yesterday that I take no medication! She says that she rarely get’s to check that box!!! Sharon says we are an over medicated Society!..I just have got to learn NOT TO SLIDE INTO BASE ANYMORE! MY BAD!!)….and I got messages from Carol Crossland in Oklahoma and Pastor Robert Lewis who lives just outside Joplin……..Here’s a note from Pastor Robert, who is our friend from cross International……..

I’ve attached some pics of our big Tornado. My family is okay but one of our church families lost their home. (The pics are taken at their location) We worked through the rain today trying to help them salvage some items.

We have more bad weather being forecast for the next few days… Lord, Have Mercy!!!

Here is the latest from KKIM/KARS newsman Frank Haley……..

(Oklahoma City, OK) — Twisters in America’s heartland are now
being blamed for at least nine deaths in less than 24 hours. A
tornado Arkansas killed at least two people and left widespread damage
shortly after midnight, local time. Tornadoes also killed at least
seven people in Oklahoma and Kansas yesterday. The latest round of
tornadoes comes after a monster twister destroyed more than a third of
the buildings in Joplin, Missouri Sunday. At least 124 people were
killed, hundreds more were injured and around 15-hundred remain
missing.

S.E. Coleman who is a Missionary based here in Albuquerque and a Dear, Dear friend of this Ministry is from Joplin. Her Aunt Judy is still missing after all these hours.

Please pray. S.E.’s best friend is in ICU. We love you S.E. and we are all praying.

I feel the media is all lost in their news coverage of these times…….T%hat is one of the reasons the Lord has us here to stand in the gap for HIM!

I am so thankful for just the ability to walk today….even thou I am limping and hurting…….many cannot this day……..I feel nothing good can come from America turning it’s back on Israel. Israel is the apple of God’s eye. We have a President who walks in the dark. Let us pray today that he see’s the LIGHT of JESUS!

In the meantime…….yes I know I keep saying some of the same things over and over, but the message of Jesus is to fulfill the Great Commission and be the Salt and Light for HIM!

Let us stand with Israel! Stand on God’s Word, not mans!

What can we leave this world? A Godly legacy…….I keep bringing up Harmon Killebrew because of the life he lived here on this earth and what he left this earth with…….there is a message in all this for us…..Harmon at one time had hit rock bottom in his life…..Divorce, 700,000 in debt, (Former Twins Owner Calvin Griffith helped him recover financially) Harmon was kicked out of the Mormon Church at that point in his life and came to know Jesus Christ and started a new life………

Amy Capitola visited Harmon Killebrew’s statue as soon as she heard the Twins idol had died. A lifelong Twins fan, she was among the first of the pilgrims to pay tribute, leaving a poster at the base of the magnificent bronze of the slugger in full swing.

By the time the Twins returned to Target Field on Monday, the shrine outside Gate 3 had grown to include dozens of flowers, from rose bouquets to backyard lilacs. A rosary lay next to some candy. There were teddy bears, a hat from the first game at Target Field, baseball cards, two cans of Killebrew root beer and a stars-and-stripes balloon tied to the statue’s right ankle.

Capitola works in downtown Minneapolis — on a street named Harmon Place — and watched all week as Killebrew’s fans brought messages written on baseballs and photos and carefully folded bits of paper. Monday, she added her own. She made small signs in the shape of home plate, with Killebrew’s name and number 3, for her friends and the people sitting near them at the Twins game against Seattle.

“I think there need to be as many 3s as we can get out there,” she said, on a night when the Twins asked fans to honor Killebrew by wearing his number. “He’s an athlete that personifies a true hero for sports fans. He was so giving. It’s our turn now to give back to him.”

Thousands of people took that opportunity on the day Killebrew was buried in his hometown of Payette, Idaho. At the first game at Target Field since he died last Tuesday at age 74, his generous spirit was recalled in ways large and small, grand and quiet, by the anonymous and the celebrated.

The statue served as a kind of ground zero for those who admired Killebrew, with his humanity — rather than his athletic ability — the common theme. Men who were not old enough to have seen Killebrew play were urging their toddlers to pose in front of the bronze, explaining to yet another generation the legacy of service and selflessness he left to a franchise and a community he loved.

Keith Schafer of Big Lake wore a T-shirt bearing Killebrew’s photo and the slogan: 573 homers, zero steroids. “I had a chance to meet him, and he was friendly to everyone, just a great guy,” he recalled. Kyle MacEachern, a student at Richfield High School, had only heard of Killebrew through the media but felt moved to use white athletic tape to craft a 3 on the back of his navy blue shirt.

MacEachern’s friend Jay Reed suggested that to the Richfield trumpeters participating in Monday’s playing of the national anthem. “I’ve heard about the things he did as a player and a person,” MacEachern said. “We wanted to do something to remember him.”

A few fans wore Killebrew jerseys, but most came up with creative ways to display the 3. They fashioned them out of felt and foam, duct tape and painter’s tape. They painted them on their faces and drew them on shirts with markers. Some bought house-number stickers at the hardware store and fixed them to sleeves.

Harry Stofferahn of Cologne chose the more expensive route, popping for a blue Killebrew jersey at the Twins clubhouse store. “All these years, I’d never gotten one,” said Stofferahn, 65. “This seemed like the time to do it. He was a gentleman. All baseball players should be like him.”

On the rack of keychains with names on them, “Harmon” was sold out. People still could toast Killebrew with Killer Kool-Aid cocktails, sold at the Killebrew 573 Bar, next to the display case with the “Killebrew for Governor” buttons and a replica of his first contract — signed by his mother, who possessed the same impeccable handwriting as her son.

Many of them stood throughout the video and photo montage before the game, which ended with heartfelt words of appreciation by manager Ron Gardenhire. The Twins trotted past the 3 drawn in the dirt in front of their dugout, an impromptu salute made with a bat, to surround another 3 behind second base. “His memory is etched in our hearts and minds,” Gardenhire said of Killebrew. “He’s a friend, and yet, he was one of the greatest Twins ever.”

Judging from the outpouring of admiration on Monday, even those who never met Killebrew felt the same. One lovingly hand-lettered sign at the statue’s base expressed the feelings of thousands of Minnesotans, declaring, “Harmon Our Humble Hero, A Class Act and Model of a Man, You’re a Treasure to Minnesota.”

Next to it lay a worn baseball. It delivered the same sentiment, boiled down to two words printed in black ink: Thanks, Harmon. On this night of so many tributes, that message came through loud and clear.

Let us all learn from Harmon and live a Godly life and leave a Godly Legacy!
