Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family,

How are you today?

May we all grow closer to the Lord this day!

Victor gave me the scripture for today!

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” Psalm 32:8

Today I am moved to share more about the Holy Spirit. Last night I began Pre-Marital counseling with a lovely couple. I have to say that if the Holy Spirit is not directing the counseling I would not do it. The words that I spoke were not of my own, they were of the Lord. Not my wisdom, but the wisdom of the Lord. This is such a precious moment in the lives of this couple…..The Lord was there. I share this because we must call upon the Holy Spirit to be with us in all we do. I cannot imagine Preaching or Counseling without the Holy Spirit. Let the words we speak at every moment of our lives be of God.Let all we do be of God. Do not let a word out of your mouth that is not from God. Do not do anything that is not of God. Slow down and pray about everything. We are told by our Lord to pray about everything.

What a world it would be if we all would be with the Holy Spirit!!!!! Please pray that the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

The Lord really showed me this last night as I was counseling these folks. I was using material from Pastor Bill Ruhl, he gave me an excellent program to use for pre-marital counseling. In the midst of it, the Lord had me back away and He gave me the words. Such freedom in that, I cannot rely on my own wisdom and strength.

When I preach the Lord takes over and gives me the words…..just like Uncle Joe taught me, the Lord would take over.

What I am still learning is to let the Lord give me the words and wisdom every minute of the day and not speak any words that are not from the Lord.

Charles Stanley writes….What does the Bible mean by the power of the Holy Spirit—the power from on high?

The power of the Holy Spirit is the divine authority and energy that God releases into the life of every one of His children that we might live a godly and fruitful life. The Word tells us that we become “clothed from on high” by this power—it envelopes us, not only covering us and protecting us from the influence of the devil, but also enabling us to demonstrate the likeness of Christ.

The Holy Spirit covers us in such a way that we bear both the fruit of His character and the demonstration of His presence wherever we go. Clothing identifies people as having authority, prestige, or influence—such as the uniform of a policeman, the cloak of a king, or the robes of a judge. Similarly the spiritual “garment” bestowed by the Holy Spirit identifies us as Christ’s own brothers or sisters alive and at work in this world.

So much peace comes from the Holy Spirit, the covering of the Holy Spirit……..My prayer for you today is that you will be covered in the Holy Spirit, you will be clothed in the Holy Spirit, you will be smothered in the Holy Spirit…….

I have been asked in the past to marry people, but they would not agree to premarital counseling…..I cannot marry anyone without that, God will not allow me to do that.so much to go over and talk about, including finances……do you have a home Church?……are you on the same level with God as your mate? So many things to go over to help get started on the right foot.

Men are you single minded when it comes to you wife? Meaning do you love your wife with all your heart and do not flirt with other women.

Emotional Affairs are growing in our society because of texting and Facebook, Married men and women carrying on with other married people by texting and Facebook.

I say once again, marriage is sacred.

Pastor Barry Dickens told Sharon and I when we got married, That as we go through this counseling I may not end up marrying you…..you still can get married but depending on how this goes..I may not be the one to marry you. Meaning if the marriage to be was not of God, he would not perform the wedding. PRAISE GOD for Pastor Barry and his directness, Barry taught me much.

Marriage is so sacred, we must proceed in the Lord and not on emotions.

Just like everyday life, we must not go on emotions, but go forth in our walk with Jesus Christ and the covering of the Holy Spirit, Oh my friends so much peace and strength in the Holy Spirit! AMEN! AMEN!

WOW! Crestview Baptist Church in Albuquerque sure is carrying out the Great Commission! Here is a note from Pastor Steve!

Crestview Baptist Church on September 3rd from 9 am to 12 noon will be stuffing 5,000 bags with a invitation to come to know the Lord and Savior Jesus with a invitation to come to Crestview Baptist Church to be loved on. Then on September 10th from 9 am to 12 noon we will go out into the area of Crestview Baptist Church to meet and invite 5,000 homes to come to Church. We are calling this the Big Reach! We are looking for prayer first to God to bless this event and then 40 people who will stand and walk with us for each of these days. Please pass this along to your readers and listening audience. We need to take this country back to the Lord before it is too late.

I appreciated the “sermonette” to get my Wednesday started right! I’ll remember the lesson and share it with my reprobate friends!!!!!!!
Just as a point of information. You might recall that my granddaughter, Precious, has been working with us at the network for almost two years. During that time she has been doing her collegiate courses on-line with Regents University in Virginia Beach. Regents requires that she spend one full year on campus, and since this is her senior year, she has left us to fulfill that obligation, with the promise that she will be back with us in a year. My grandson, Joshua, has also worked with us for the past three summers. He left last week to return to his junior year at Hillsdale College in Michigan. Precious is pursuing a political science degree and Josh is majoring in economics. I would solicit the prayers of your intercessors during this school year, to surround both of our kids with a Holy protection as they leave Carol and me as empty nesters for a second time.

The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff.

She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this,

her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped

against her eye and knocked out her contact lens.

‘Great’, she thought. ‘Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from

the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my

sight is blurry.’ She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed

on the ledge. But it just wasn’t there.

She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for

calm, and she prayed that she might find her contact lens. When she got

to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it

was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top,

she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of

mountains. She thought of the bible verse ‘The eyes of the Lord run to

and fro throughout the whole earth.’

She thought, ‘Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every

stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help

me.’

Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff

they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff.

One of them shouted out, ‘Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?’

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw

it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock,

carrying it!

The story doesn’t end there. Brenda’s father is a cartoonist. When

she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact

lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the

caption, ‘Lord, I don’t know why you want me to carry this thing. I can’t eat

it, and it’s awfully heavy. But if this is what you want me to do; I’ll

carry it for you.’

I think it would do all of us some good to say, ‘God, I don’t know why

you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it’s awfully

heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will.’

God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He

keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I am nothing, but

with Him…I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil.

4:13)

WOW! I had people come into the Radio Ranch and pray over me yesterday and pray for the Radio Ranch! PRAISE GOD! Celina, thank you! Pastor’s Don Kimbro, Jose Luis, and Steve Bockemeier all came to pray yesterday! PRAISE GOD!

Congrats to Mr and Mrs Leonard Navarre on 42 years of marriage!!!! I just love introducing people as Mr and Mrs…..As soon as Leonard returned from Guatemala, he and Diana took off to celebrate their 42 years together! PRAISE GOD!

Such a positive and uplifting message today on the cup. I’m sorry to hear of Ryan and his wife moving away, I know you will continue to miss him. God is moving, I have a short testimony to share with you. Yesterday I was slicing watermelon and telling myself to be careful and watch what I was doing. The next thing I knew I had cut deep into my left hand in the palm area. Blood began to literally pulse out of my hand all over the counter. I applied pressure immediately and for several minutes the blood would not stop. I began to pray and could actually see the healing of the cut taking place. The bleeding stopped and there was no pain. I have a slightly red spot on my palm this morning and still no pain. GOD IS GOOD.

Jesus makes his message for us very simple……we have complicated it….the message is for a child to understand, We do not Preach and Teach enough as a Body of Christ on the Holy Spirit.

Many do not understand the Gift of the Holy Spirit, The POWER of the Holy Spirit……

Charles Stanley 8:05am weekdays on KKIM writes in his book, Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit…….

Many believers find that after a time in applying Biblical principles they incorrectly begin to feel self-confident in their “success” at living the Christian life. And the next thing you know, they’ve experienced a spiritual setback or moral fall of some kind.

Why is it that we often seem to start strongly in our Christian walk, and then later discover that we are facing failure in our faith?

One of the primary reasons is that we drift away from the very principles that we learned at the beginning of our relationship with Christ. Another key reason is that we become so familiar with the Word of God and the messages that we hear preached that we no longer take the truth of God’s Word to heart as diligently and as eagerly as we once did.

(AMEN! A great failure of Christians is to take the WORD OF GOD TO HEART! AMEN!)

Yet a third reason, and perhaps the most prevalent is that we stop relying on the Holy Spirit to lead us, to guide us, to give us the spiritual power we need to withstand temptation, and to give us the spiritual wisdom we need to recognize and to avoid error.

(WISDOM is what pastor Jose prayed over me yesterday and for the Holy Spirit to move and move!!!)

We never spiritually outgrow our dependency upon the Holy Spirit. The exact opposite is true. The more mature we are in faith and the more intimate our relationship with our heavenly Father, the more dependent we must be on the Holy Spirit.

(That is why I many times say at the start of the CUP may we all GROW in our relationship with our LORD, we can all grow more….I need the Power of the Holy Spirit more than ever in my life! AMEN!)

It is the Holy Spirit who guides us into the right path for us to walk and convicts us of our sin if we stray from that path.

It is the Holy Spirit who reminds us of the truth of God’s Word and teaches us how to apply God’s Word to our daily lives.

(Oh, Holy Spirit come upon everyone reading this now, come into their lives like never before…..Oh Holy Spirit come…..)

It is the Holy Spirit who works in us to conform us to the image of Christ Jesus, and who works through us to minister the presence and power of Christ to others.

The ongoing lesson all Christians must learn is how to experience and live daily in the power of the Holy Spirit! No matter where you are in your journey with the Lord, this is the key to your being a truly successful Christian.

GREAT LESSON this day from Charles Stanley! AMEN!

4 Worms Church Sermon! For those of you who missed church on Sunday, here is a recap! Four worms and a lesson to be learned!!!! A bishop decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday talk on the Word of Wisdom. Four worms were placed into four separate jars. The first worm was put into a container of alcohol. The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke. The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup. The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil. At the conclusion of the sermon, the bishop reported the following results: The first worm in alcohol- Dead The second worm in cigarette smoke – Dead Third worm in chocolate syrup – Dead Fourth worm in good clean soil – Alive. So the bishop asked the congregation – What did you learn from this demonstration??? Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said, ‘As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won’t have worms!’ That pretty much ended the service Thanks to Dr. Joe for adding a laugh to our day!!!! Hi again family & friends! This morning I go in for an MRI on my lower back. It was moved up by 9 days so I thank God for that. I ask that you pray the MRI provides accurate pictures of the condition of my back and that the doctor/s who see them will make an accurate diagnosis and know what can be done to make it better. Please pray that God’s healing will happen without surgery. Something less invasive would be much preferred!

First Timothy 6: 9-12 reminds us……..

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s. But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, take hold of the eternal life in which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

OH HOW I LOVE this scripture!

What a message for a time such as this……..Please be in prayer for our Country this Saturday! Even if you cannot attend a prayer event , Please pray at home or work or wherever you will be Saturday! I also love the part about fighting the good fight of faith!, take hold of the eternal life in which you were called! WOW!

There is nothing much like the love of a Father has for his son…….As many of you know Ryan Freeman left KKIM/KARS/SHINE a couple of weeks ago. Ryan and his wife, Steph, moved back to Steph’s hometown in Missouri. I came to love them both, very special people in our Lord.

I share with you this morning the Love that Ryan’s Dad, Pastor Steve Freeman has for his son…….we all will be blessed by letting this love soak into us……don’t leave this letter to soon…..

Today I weep seeing my son Ryan and his wife Steph leave this home to start a new home in Missouri. As I hugged the both of them, said that I love them both and said goodbye. My thoughts turned to how life continues on whether we like it or not. Sue and I have found comfort in the Lords words from Jeremiah 29:11-13. I remember this morning that when Ryan was so sick and almost died, I realized that God was only allowing me to be his dad. That God had given me a gift in him. This gift has turned into a really great guy. The Spirit of God lives in the both of them.

I know that Ryan worked hard for you and KKIM. He was also a friend to you as well. Thank you for being a mentor to a young man!

PRAISE GOD for this love! As many of you know when Ryan was a baby he died three times of the cancer he had……Over the time Ryan was with us he shared his testimony on the radio and TV….AWESOME story! Jesus came to visit him!!! Thanks Steve for sharing this love story! I miss Ryan very much!

I’ve been getting your regular emails…Absolutely uplifting.

Why this didn’t occur to me before now, I’ll never know.

Our National Right to Life President, Carol Tobias (elected in April), lives in Albuquerque. She commutes into DC several times a month (and actually arrives here today). For the past several years, you and I have been trying to figure out how we can collaborate to further the pro-life message in ABQ and now our best and most eloquent resource is in your backyard!

I’d love to explore any ideas you have…at the very least, I’d love to make Carol available for interviews since she’s right there and can actually come into the studios!
