Dear KKIM/SHINE/KARS Family,
May the Holy Spirit come upon you today like never before!
The Good News this day and all days is that Jesus has not stopped acting and speaking. He is resurrected and at work in our world. He is not idle, nor has he developed laryngitis. He is alive and among us as our Priest to forgive us, our Prophet to teach us, our King to rule us, our Shepherd to guide us. PRAISE GOD!
When we pray we descend with the mind into the heart , and there to stand before the face of the Lord, ever present, all seeing, within you.
Meditation, or what I call daily Devotionals is the duty of us all…time with the Lord, reading His word daily and praying.
That is the way to experience the depths of Jesus Christ.
In our daily Devotionals, like the CUP we are growing into what Thomas Kempis calls, “a familiar friendship with Jesus”. We are sinking down into the light and life of Jesus and becoming comfortable in that posture. The perpetual presence of the Lord, omnipresence, as we say, moves from a theological dogma into a radiant reality. Oh my friends when you move from that theological dogma, it’s a brand new life in Christ, for even satan is a great Theologian! Oh yes! When we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ it’s a brand new life! “He walks with me and talks with me” ceases to be pious jargon and instead becomes a straightforward description of daily life.
What happens my friends when we are in our daily devotionals each day we create an emotional and spiritual space which allows Jesus to construct an inner sanctuary in our hearts. The wonderful verse “I stand at the door and knock….” was originally penned for believers, not unbelievers (Rev. 3:20)
Richard J. Foster writes…….Inward fellowship of this kind transforms the inner personality. We cannot burn the eternal flame of the inner sanctuary and remain the same, for the Divine Fire will consume everything that is impure. Our ever-present Teacher will always be leading us into “righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” )Rom 14:17. Everything that is foreign to His way we will have to let go. Do this now my Brother and Sister, now let anything foreign to the way of our Lord go……let go..anger, hurt, sickness, joblessness, ..I saw many let go of foreign things the other night in Church when I prayed over them and anointed them with oil.
Many came forward Tuesday night for Prayer, the Holy Spirit moved in POWERFUL ways……many just gave into the Holy Spirit………read on……..For God’s Glory Alone!
Dear Brother Dewey,
What a wonderful blessing it was to be with you at Open Door Church of God in Los Lunas last night. Praise God the Holy Spirit fell and worked through you to touch so many who came forward for prayer.
As I was reading Smith Wigglesworth’s devotion for today I immediately thought of you. The scripture reading was from Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Wigglesworth goes on to say “press on with a new order of the Spirit so you can never be where you were before. This is a new day for us all. He is in no way stationary.” Brother Dewey you have truly caught the fire and will continue to be a beacon for all saints. As the Spirit gave you knowledge to pray for even those who were reluctant to come forward you exemplified the true meaning of bearing each others burdens and being in constant prayer. Coupled with yesterday’s reading from Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection” I saw evidence in you of the power of the Holy Spirit and what we can all experience if we believe the word and apply it to ours lives each and every day. We are nothing without Him.
Blessings upon you, Sharon, Buffy and your family.
Love ya,
Wanell
I am so thankful for your testimony on Tuesday night Sister Wanell……Many came forward and the Lord also had me go to people that had no intention of coming forward, but when I was face to face with them and began to pray and talk with them the Holy Spirit moved in to melt them down, the walls came tumbling down, walls of hurt, anger, disappointment, sickness, etc……When we submit to the Holy Spirit, miracles begin to happen in our lives! AMEN! PRAISE GOD!
Sharon and I thank you all so much for your prayers for her and Buffy. As I mentioned earlier we have good news on Sharon and late yesterday Buffy came out of nearly 3 hours of mouth surgery in good shape. She is now in recovery. Please keep her in your prayers. Doctor Wood said he was able to get all of the tumor. Please continue to pray for Sharon and Buffy. We love you and your prayers mean so much! Continue to pray for healing for both Sharon and Buffy please.
In Andrew Murray’s book The Inner Life, We learn a simple concept that changed my approach to reading God’s Word……he writes, Prayer and the Word are inseparably linked together. Power in the use of either depends upon the presence of the other…..The Word gives me guidance for prayer, telling me what God will do for me. It gives me the power to pray, telling me how God would have me come……And it gives me the answer to prayer, as it teaches what God will do for me……Prayer seeks God; the Word reveals God. In prayer we rise to heaven to dwell with God; in the Word God comes to dwell with us!!!!
WOW WEE AMEN! Changed my life…..My prayer is that this encourages you so much! God dwelling in us, picture that! FEEL THAT!
Sharon got this wonderful email from her friend Maria…….
When our beloved animal companion is sick, it’s vital to remember the promise of God in Psalm 91: 14-16: Since he clings to me I rescue him, I raise him high, since he acknowledges my name. He calls to me and I answer him: in distress I am at his side, I rescue him and bring him honor. Of course, our animals are helpless to raise this cry of and by themselves — hence, it is our call to be intercessors, on their behalf, in their hour of need.

Prayer…
Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
Let us all be in prayer constantly for each other and our families. For all those unspoken prayer needs! May God be with you and your’s and thank you so much for stopping by here at the CUP and praying with us, Sharon and I love you all so dearly!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and family
