The Lord has shown me more and more over the last several days too many so called Christians operate on

FEELINGS not FAITH in our LORD JESUS CHRIST! AMEN PRAISE GOD!

A Preacher must not tell his audience what he thinks, but what he knows through faith in the Holy Spirit! AMEN! For God’s Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!

A Preacher must also hold himself and his flock accountable!

I just finished the book, “Smith Wigglesworth Apostle of Faith” I would encourage you all to read this book, it is a life changer!!! It will lead you to greater heights in your relationship with Jesus Christ. It will make you aware that God is the same God as HE was yesterday as HE is today! For some reason many have lost the power of God in their lives.

The Word of God is spirit and life to those who receive it in simple faith, and it is a vivifier of all who own its sway. Know your Bible, live it, believe it, and obey it. Hide God’s Word in your heart. It will save your soul, quicken your body, and illumine your mind.

I am thankful to be back from Bakersfield, California where I was working with KERI our Sister Christian Station. It was such a blessed time! I am so thankful that I work for a Company that still believes in LOCAL RADIO! So many Radio Companies are cutting back on LOCAL Radio!

We have been having all sort’s of computer problems at the Moede Ranch. We need your help. I do not ask for much, but the Computer I do the CUP on from home is just about dead. I am barely able to get the CUP out anymore. This Computer is old and has out lived it’s purpose. It is taking me so long to get the CUP out. Also my lap top was sent a serious virus on Saturday and it is disabled at this time. I am told it is one of those “Worms” that is very deadly to a computer. I will have that looked at today by Austin or Angelo. Would you help me purchase a new Computer for the CUP? We need to raise a minimum of $400.00. If you can help with this effort, we would be so thankful so that we can get the CUP out! Of late we have been having problems with the Internet and AOL. We may have to leave AOL.Very interesting! I hate to ask for help on this but now is the time to do so. Please pray on this and then email me please if you can help. We rarely ask for help on anything. Please pray over the CUP! Sharon and I covet your prayers.

What does it mean to be just like Jesus? The world has never known a heart so pure, a character so flawless.
His spiritual hearing was so keen he never missed a heavenly whisper. His mercy so abundant he never missed a chance to forgive.
No lie left his lips, no distraction marred his vision. He touched when others recoiled. He endured when others quit. Jesus is the ultimate model for every person.
God urges you to fix your eyes upon Jesus. Heaven invites you to set the lens of your heart on the heart of the Savior and make him the object of your life.

Psalm 18…Wonderful passage Kathy! When I was in the hospital with RJ (when he was on life support and near death), I read the Psalms, because I knew I had to praise God, but couldn’t find my own words because the circumstances were so dark. These scriptures allowed me to worship God and He so graciously gave me enormous strength and abundant blessings…Praise God!

Another praise report…RJ is working part-time in his own field (something the Doctors have all said was “impossible”). He is working at Terra as a part-time Sous Chef. He is so happy, in a lot of pain and very tired, but so happy. He is seeing first hand, every day God’s power, sovereignty and love. As we know God is in the business of making the “Impossible” “Possible”.

The word of God in the hands of the spirit in our innermost being is an agile and deadly weapon against the lies and distortions of satan in our lives. We have to have the word of God buried deep in our souls for the Spirit to have something to use when we are attacked. Without the word, the spirit has less equipment to fight with. The purpose of intense Bible study on our own is not to gain something from God, it is to equip the spirit to fight for us in the evil day. We already have every spiritual blessing given to us. We are not going to gain anything new from God. What we gain is skill in using what He has already given.
Ephesians 13 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

The word without the Spirit becomes cold orthodoxy. Studying the word of God can become an end in and of itself and leave us cold and lifeless. In fact, Biblical knowledge without the Spirit is not only worthless, it can become damaging. It can create the illusion that you know the truth and don’t need to pursue and intimacy with the Spirit and life of Christ.
John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.

In fact we can’t even understand scripture on a spiritual level without the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

John 14:26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

We get our strength and power from the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,

1 Thessalonians 1:5 for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

Knowledge without the Spirit is cold and dead because the fruits of the Spirit are not present.
1 Corinthians 13:2And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Love is a byproduct of abiding in Christ and the Spirit and is not an automatic by-product of Bible study. Combine the abiding presence of the Spirit with the word of God and you have a mighty weapon in the Spiritual realm.

Some folks swear by using smaller utensils, saying they can shed pounds by doing so. With plates, forks and spoons being supersized alongside our appetites, Johns Hopkins Health Alerts cited recent research that we will eat less if our shovels (utensils) are smaller. But another new study published in the Journal of Consumer Research discovered that the larger the fork the less people eat. (The rationale is that the brain doesn’t believe hunger is satiated with small utensils.) So you’ll have to do a little trial for yourself – maybe with a combination of larger forks and smaller plates! One thing is certain: If you place your utensils down when you’re between bites, you will further belabor your bloating.

Special Prayer Requests-
Hi Dewey…I am writing u to ler u know I appreciate und let u know how I am doing. I will be giving my new presentation on Meth in Los Lunas The School of Dreams. I have interviews from young former users warning other kids. I can only ask for prayer to provide me with protection of the attacks that will surely come. I know I will get through it.
Also want u to know the sweet father that asked for prayer nov 10 had to deal w a continuance but a court administrator scheduled the continuance miracally for two weeks later which is unheard of typically more like several months…so on November 22nd he is asking for a good outcome ..reunion of his three children with him. How refreshing to see a father so focused on fighting for seeing his children.

Hi Dewey Sharon and all you wonderful followers,
I have been reading everyday, Dewey’s cup’s and also on my facebook to always be in the most right now and up to date on the info. Well my friends, I have an urgent prayer request. My brother in law, who I spoke about a couple of months ago, having to have his hip replacement removed because of a sever infection in his hip joint where the replacement had been put in 2 years ago. Finding it was a staph infection made it worse. He was at Stanford for a week after the surgery and had been on IV’s of powerful antibiotics and also heavy pain meds. He was moved to a rehab for the last 2 and half months where they continued to treat him. He was sent home last Friday to wait for the ok to have a new replacement put in. Since last Friday he has not been able to eat, terrible depression and has a hopeless attitude, as my Sister is overwhelmed trying to take care of him and work at the same time. PLEASE keep Ron Adair in your prayers and pray for his heart to be full of the Spirit of our Lord. Also Christine who is beside herself in fear of losing him. He has declined terribly in the last few days.

There is something amazing going on in my back yard –it is that time of the year that presses hope in my heart! Watching God change the dial on the Season fills me with faith, hope and yes even love, because autumn is my favorite season of all! I suppose that whether a spring, summer or autumn breeze, it can feel like a kiss from God, but there is something special about that just right temperature and no sticky humidity in the air.
Today is rainy and cold, but yesterday was warm, dry and perfect! Both days the leaves are falling, but when the sun was warm, it was a pleasure to experience! A warm dry breeze scattering the leaves made me take notice of the abundant color! We live on 8 ½ acres with some large Oak trees, Maples and Carolina long needle pine trees –and yes [to us] even the cursed ‘Gumball tree’. The maples have shed to the ground, the oaks hang on to their leaves and the Crape Myrtles are still brilliant yellow! As the wind blows through, nature seems to be raining leaves and decorating the ground like a new fallen snow. Yesterday, walking home from our neighbors, I gazed through the board fence and across the pasture with my eyes drawn to see the orange glow beneath the trees.
As fast as fall has come, the colors seemed to appear –and as fast as fall leaves, the trees seem to go bare! Soon, it will seem like a long wait for the spring buds and bulbs to appear, but whether waiting or not, by faith I know it will be. However, before that long wait comes, there is a new inspiration filling the air –the first time the furnace comes on and warms the room; that first snowflake that falls on your nose. An excitement fills the air, with cravings for Hot Chocolate and dreaming under a soft cozy blanket, but it won’t be long –until we long for spring to be here once again.
Many times, our life seems to model the reality of Ecclesiastes, because many times we rush through life and miss the simple things –clinging to what might have been or what is to come; instead of just simply resting in a place of being content with who we really are. Kind of like those large Oak trees; they wait patiently for their branches to reveal that life that is waiting and alive on the inside –to burst out from what is already there within!
God made us even more special than he did an Oak tree and there is a beauty in Jesus alive in us when we first believe. The trees together create a harmony; as do you and I, whether we are alike or different in the way we are made. We are each wonderfully made by God; and we each have a purpose in the church!
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
This is one of those books in the Bible that to be honest I don’t completely understand, but this book has proven to be good understanding, with instructions in our life today. To me, it has taught me that others [meaning someone in Bible times] has experienced being blessed by God [just like us], but still experienced a lack in understanding of how to enjoy the gifts that God has given –just like my husband and I have at times. Many times, our life is not that different; and this author experienced an honest human learning lesson that he went through and came through with God’s Wisdom.
“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap (i.e., if you want perfection, you won’t do anything.).” (Ecclesiastes 11:4).
In closing, as far as me, it is really hard to think about failing! “(If you want perfection, you won’t do anything –Ecc 11:4)” I love to dream, but find it hard completing details in the major lines of decisions, for fear of failing the permanent … However, we cannot fail the permanent, because our future is set in Christ. Our focus needs to be on Him! We can learn to find a balance in life to enjoy our blessed life and remain in service to God and enjoy our blessings fully by learning how to appreciate the art of sharing what God has done.
Times like yesterday, when I share a super D duper long writing, it doesn’t take long to feel bad about it, for fear that someone didn’t like it. However, I serve God and I know it pleases Him when I get up and study His Word and share. What I am trying to say is that just as Jesus asked Peter to push the boat out so that He could preach the message –it was Peter who heard the message. So did the crowd hear the message, but the one who serves is blessed by what they hear as we spend time in God’s Word still today through the power of the Holy Spirit.
My encouragement here is do not let fear of failure in serving God hold you back for doing what God places on your heart to do –and definitely not a fear of a lack of money, when God calls you to serve [God will always provide when it is for the good and the good of His Kingdom]. We serve God and we serve people, but we can’t rely on pleasing people in our service to God. God may just want to reach one person??? … And from my experience when I serve, I am the first to learn. I get so excited to share; I can’t pick apart what is important –because to me, as I learn, it is all important. So I end up sharing it all LOL J I am working on becoming a better writer for God and one day, Lord willing I will, but as far as today, please let me encourage you in this Scripture:
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that you labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Dear Dewey’s Daily Cup Readers,

Walking in Believing Faith with Jesus

As I prayed about what to write for you today, I wondered who would be reading this and what your personal immediate need may be. Here is the Scripture that is on my heart to share with you today:

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 4:4

Everything is all about what Jesus has done! Some days we are enjoying the life that God has given us and other days we are clinging to Jesus just to get through. Everyone is going through something sometime. However, whether the things we face are good or bad, Jesus is our strength, wisdom and peace –our source to legitimate joy. Do you know someone that needs to meet Jesus? –Maybe you?

I don’t want to assume that I know, so I will write what the Lord puts on my heart.

I believe in God. I believe in Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. I believe in the Holy Spirit who lives within every believer when we are born again. I believe God’s written Word as my absolute truth. I believe in prayers as defined in the Bible; and I believe that prayers are meant to work and there is only one way for prayers to work that is to pray in faith (Mark 11:24 NIV).

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11:24 NIV).

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (KJV). Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (ESV). Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see (NLT).

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (NIV).
Hebrews 11:1

By faith, I can hold the hand of God! His name is Jesus! God’s hand reached down from Heaven to save us –first we have to accept Jesus as our Savior and then He becomes our Lord and friend! We all need Jesus! We each need to accept Jesus as our personal Savior –Have you met Jesus yet by confessing [admitting] to God that you need forgiveness and you believe Jesus is God’s Son who died for your sins? If so, trust God and trust also in Jesus to accept and submit to Jesus as your Lord? Have you trusted in Jesus enough to turn your life over to Him –enough to follow God’s plan for you through the power of the Holy Spirit?

When we give our life to God –eventually we will come to understand that following Him is the way to our blessed life with Him. From experience, Scripture works when we apply our faith –The gospel is preached, but is only a value to us when we combine the Word of God to our life with faith (paraphrased see Hebrews 4:2).

It comes down to believing God at His Word. When we believe with a knowing faith [through the knowledge that comes to us from God], we can trust God through it all! Self-Control is revering God so much that we choose godly behavior –Submitted to God knowing that on this earth it is normal to have good times and bad times; ups and downs. Self-control is also controlling your troubled heart, which is godly behavior to trust God –“Do not let your heart be troubled (John 14:1)” requires self-control when things get tough –on our emotions and fears that will come to us if our eyes are not focused and fixed on God –which is only possible in Jesus Christ.

It also requires self-control to seek, pursue and remain in trusting and obeying the Word of God, which is LOVE (NIV) & Charity (KJV) –Remaining in God’s Righteousness, who is Jesus! God calls us to remain in Jesus and in step with the Spirit (love) above all things, because hard things come, but in Jesus we have already overcome them!

So to repeat this verse in another version:

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24 KJV).

Remembering you are a dear child from God and in Jesus you have overcome, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

In my reading yesterday, I found the following quote:
One can legislate prayers to force everyone to go through the motion of praying but you can never force them to believe.

It is the Holy Spirit whom convinces us to follow God’s will.

On my mind today is that everyone is going through something tough –we need to be kind and considerate to the needs of one another. If someone is being nasty, we need to remember self-control –if someone is opposing God’s way, they need to see Jesus in us the most “The Way”! Jesus is “The Way” and as a believer we are to show “The Way” to others who are searching –those who are lost in that fog of confusion, doubt or unbelief.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom (James 3:13). There are two types of wisdom that comes to us (see James 3:13-18); and none of us are immune to attacks on our peace in this world … and think about that, because everything revolves around peace –Jesus is the Prince of Peace!

You may meet someone today who needs to find peace in their soul –maybe you? It doesn’t matter who you are or what you have done –Jesus will make us a new creation and He has promised to be with us through it all.

I heard a powerful testimony of a 16 year old girl whose family has had a long family history line of suicide –she was concerned about the trend of suicide…, as she was scared and already experiencing depression and suicidal thoughts.

A song on the radio inspired her to believe there was hope for her and the message of hope inspired her to seek help. She was persistent to tell her story, but her story ended, because that was all she knew. She stared blankly in the face of the one she went to seeking help –someone she believed knew about this hope she was inspired to seek.

This person listened to her –shocked at the abrupt ending to her story, he said to her, “Do you have Jesus in your life?” –she said “NO”. Kind of taken back by her response, he said, “It sounds like you need Him in your life; would you like to meet Jesus today?” She said YES! She already had the knowledge, but she needed someone to lead her to meet Jesus.

She accepted Jesus Christ in her life in that moment; as this man led her in a simple prayer to God that she believed and accepted by faith! If you have thoughts or feelings that you do not understand, I know you have friends in Christ right here at Dewey’s Daily Cup who will help you find the words on your heart.

Iniquities can be broken –through the power of the Holy Spirit from Believing Faith in Jesus Christ [there is power in the Blood of Jesus]! Study the Bible for more, but for today’s purpose –to encourage walking in believing faith with Jesus Christ in all things:

Iniquity means [my interpretation: not claiming the right to Freedom in Christ –because of a lack of knowledge –and lies from Satan about whom we are and God’s will for us: to become all that Jesus has died and rose again to make us be! Please do not think that I am undermining REAL issues and feelings –I am lead to undermine the work of Satan against you by proclaiming the good news of the gospel of Christ!

We gain our knowledge of the absolute truth about “good and evil” from God through the revealing power of the Holy Spirit and in the Bible through the written Word [God’s holy Word]. Satan has knowledge of God’s Word and His deception is won by using partial truth to create a false sense of security in being comfortable right where you are. We are called for more –Don’t let Satan hold you down! We can learn God’s will for us in the Bible.

Defined in the World English Dictionary:
Iniquity means: 1. Lack of Justice or righteousness; wickedness; injustice
However, Jesus Christ died not only for our forgiveness –His blood is the atonement for our sin; He died for our freedom from sin and all penalty from sin.

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Iniquity is a lack of Jesus in some area of our life –God is the ONE who frees us from wickedness and injustice. Everything in verse 23 was due to humanity; everything in verse 24 depends on God.

25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus (Romans 3:23-26).

Guided by the Lord, God is teaching us to grow up to maturity in Christ Jesus, so that means the Bible is going to tell us something we need to change in our life, mind and or heart –His righteousness goes before us and we have to PURSUE peace when it is hard –Crave God more! The Holy Spirit causes us to crave God (see Jude 1:20 …Build yourself up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit).

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).

Iniquity also means 2. A wicked act; sin.
But God’s good Word says,
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 4:4
Many Scriptures describe the need to grow and mature spiritually:
Ephesians 4:14, 15 – Be no longer children, but grow up in Christ.
2 Peter 3:18 – but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:3 – The Thessalonians grew exceedingly in faith.
Philippians 1:9 – Paul prayed for their love to abound more and more.

God’s word presents steps we can take toward growth and spiritual maturity:
· by Bible study, patience, and diligent practice of good works.

If you don’t know Jesus yet, then I invite you to meet him today. When you meet him, he is going to light up your life and make you “the way” to lead others to him. Follow Jesus and he will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). When we find the love of God in our life, animosity goes away and the desire to help others find their hope floods into our soul.

Hebrews 6:1 has my attention, because God calls us to do something with our knowledge when we become transformed by a greater power from God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit whom lives in us! Jesus is the truth, the way and the life. We have a job to do! If we are the body then our hands need to be reaching out for those who are lost in their very soul and don’t even understand why … Jesus is the light for these why’s that lead people to think lies about themselves –maybe you are believing a lie about who you are?

Life is good, but life is hard many times and people are hurting [maybe even you]. I extend my arms to let you know that you matter to God! God loves you and you are blessed –Believe in the name of Jesus and place your faith in Him, Christ the Son of the living God! John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God does not cause bad things to come to us … He allows them [for a time and for a purpose], but what God does do is call us to be blessed –and experience life with HIM; the life Jesus died to give us PEACE …even through the rough –God is faithful! God calls us to pray and pray for each other and to love and to love each other; and to build each other up in our faith in Jesus. Remember, “God works all things out for the good for those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28)!”

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11

You don’t have to be strong alone –Jesus is the One who makes us strong and who brings us peace! It is impossible to be what the world tells us every one else is [all-together and perfect], but it is possible to be together and perfected in love and peace through Jesus Christ.

What good thing could God be calling you to do, that Satan is trying his best to stop? Don’t underestimate God’s plans for you! For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Don’t believe lies –instead seek the truth from God and know you are well loved by him!

Go and sin no more … Go and make disciples …Go and tell [preach] the Gospel

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10

The one in us is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God and the one in the world is Satan.

· There are 2 forces in existence – the one in me (God) and the one in the world (Satan).
· They belong to opposite sides and at war at each other.
· The one in me is greater than the one in this world.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mark 16:15

Thank you for joining me today! I hope you were blessed by the Cup today while Dewey is away. May we pray continually as the Bible teaches us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and remain in our faith –praying the Lord’s Prayer, remaining in Love (1Co 13:4-6), staying in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and following the Wisdom from God (James 3:13-18).

Keep faith and stay encouraged in the Word –believe it is God’s message to you; as I believe it is God’s message to me and then together we will trust and obey and be at peace living in God’s good will. Trust a trustworthy God who has better plans than yours and who loves you unconditionally.

Jesus is a place of rest from our weary soul; and our hope in a troubled world! In fact, Jesus teaches us in John 14:1, “Do not LET your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me –Jesus.” That tells me, God has a plan for all who will believe!
