December 12, 2011. I grew up of humble means. Our family farm never sustained us. But I noticed that our neighbors and most of our family and extended family had a couple of traits and practices I wanted to acquire. They used good and positive words about life. They worked smart and hard. All seemed to be prospering and have good families. When I converted to Christianity at age 12, I saw these same traits and practices touted in the Scriptures. Furthermore, I saw them demonstrated in the person of Christ. My pastor, who led me to Christ, told me God would give me a destiny and purpose in life. He said to me Jesus would cause me to become somebody special. I believed that meant prospering and having a good family. The Lord says, “Let Me give you words of life and prosperous hands. Have I not done these things for you? I will do it for others who ask of Me.”
Proverbs 12:14 (NASB) “A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, and the deeds of a man’s hands will return to him.” Ras Robinson – This prophetic gospel ministry and helping helpless kids has great needs right now. Pray and make a sacrificial gift: Year End Special Gift December 12, 2011. I didn’t think the Bible was true when I was a teenager, but later it became the guide Book of my life. It has been the one book that literally changed my life. I began reading it for personal instruction when I was in my thirties. I would read a portion daily and ask, “Father, what does this mean to me personally in my circumstances?” Then, “What am I to do now?” When I heard Him and obeyed, I saw enormous changes. “Make a commitment to read My Word. Ask Me what you are to do with what you read. Watch your life come up to a higher place.” Psalms 119:105 (KJV) “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” |

Remember when your Grandma or Mom would say, “Keep your fork?” After you ate your Thanksgiving or Christmas meal…..Keep your Fork for Desert? ..Don’t you just love that feeling of knowing that something better is coming your way?……and it is not Pumpkin Pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep your Fork……..
I pray that you’ll be joyful knowing that because of that baby in the manger, you can overcome any temptation that comes your way!
1 Cor. 10:13……
“No temptation has overtaken you but just as is common to man. And God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. But when you are tempted, he will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”

He’s coming to town!
And,
When He comes, He won’t be coming from the North Pole, riding in a sleigh!
He’ll be coming on the clouds of Glory!
He’ll be coming amidst the loudest trumpeting you’ve ever heard!
He’ll be coming with an army of angels who will gather people from the North, South, East and West!

No matter what you believe about HIS return, you have to agree that it will be a spectacular event!
Keep your Fork!
Are you ready? Are you prepared for Heaven?
The Best is yet to come…………
I had such a POWERFUL weekend in our LORD that has brought me to this point this morning to be so thankful for what I have.
It started out with meeting Jan and Ed and then to take part in the Memorial Service for Marvin Capehart on Saturday morning. What a tremendous tribute to this man of God.
His life teaches much to us about serving others for Jesus Christ. Marvin came here to serve not to be served, he followed the calling of the Lord, to serve! I don’t think Marvin really ever had a car that really worked, but Marvin served the Lord and didn’t worry about money. Marvin on his radio program, “Ask The Pastor”, reached more people than 95% of the Church’s in New Mexico!!!! 40% of those listening did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. By being on KKIM for nearly 40 years, Marvin plowed a lot of ground in reaching the lost! He served as a Pastor, Police Chaplin and as a Champion for our Lord at the State Legislature always reminding the folks at the Roundhouse about God.
I was so touched at the service by one of Marvin’s grand-daughters….she wanted my notes that I spoke from to keep for her Grandma, a keep-sake! For God’s Glory Alone! The love this family has for each other is just so wonderful! Marvin kept a file on all his Children and grand-children…a file of notes…pictures……letters that the kid’s sent him….etc…….that was reveled at the funeral and touched the kid’s so much!
Then Sunday Sharon and I traveled to Los Lunas to the Open Door Church of God to Preach! What an AWESOME turn out and the Holy Spirit moved in a POWERFUL way…KEEP YOUR FORK, the best is yet to come
Last Christmas Sharon found this TRUE story and then Dave of the www.windomnews.com picked up on it from the CUP and printed it in his column! It has been a blessing to many…….Sharon would like to share this story once again…..be blessed!
THE STORY OF RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER
I had never heard the story of where Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer came from. Hard to believe the gesture Montgomery Wards made! Did you know the origin of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer? I had never heard this story. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
A guy named Bob May, depressed and brokenhearted, stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling December night. His 4-year-old daughter, Barbara, sat on his lap quietly sobbing. Bobs wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer. Little Barbara couldn’t understand why her mommy could never come home. Barbara looked up into her dads eyes and asked, “Why isn’t Mommy just like everybody else’s Mommy?” Bob’s jaw tightened and his eyes welled with tears. Her question brought waves of grief, but also of anger. It had been the story of Bob’s life. Life always had to be different for Bob. Being small when he was a kid, Bob was often bullied by other boys. He was too little at the time to compete in sports. He was often called names he’d rather not remember.
From childhood, Bob was different and never seemed to fit in. Bob did complete college, married his loving wife and was grateful to get his job as a copywriter at Montgomery Ward during the Great Depression. Then he was blessed with his little girl. But it was all short-lived. Evelyn’s bout with cancer stripped them of all their savings and now Bob and his daughter were forced to live in a two-room apartment in the Chicago slums. Evelyn died just days before Christmas in 1938. Bob struggled to give hope to his child, for whom he couldn’t even afford to buy a Christmas gift. But if he couldn’t buy a gift, he was determined a make one – a storybook! Bob had created an animal character in his own mind and told the animal’s story to little Barbara to give her comfort and hope. Again and again Bob told the story, embellishing it more with each telling. Who was the character? What was the story all about? The story Bob May created was his own autobiography in fable form. The character he created was a misfit outcast like he was. The name of the character? A little reindeer named Rudolph, with a big shiny nose.
Bob finished the book just in time to give it to his little girl on Christmas Day. But the story doesn’t end there. The general manager of Montgomery Ward caught wind of the little storybook and offered Bob May a nominal fee to purchase the rights to print the book. Wards went on to print Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and distribute it to children visiting Santa Claus in their stores. By 1946 Wards had printed and distributed more than six million copies of Rudolph. That same year, a major publisher wanted to purchase the rights from Wards to print an updated version of the book. In an unprecedented gesture of kindness, the CEO of Wards returned all rights back to Bob May. The book became a best seller. Many toy and marketing deals followed and Bob May, now remarried with a growing family, became wealthy from the story he created to comfort his grieving daughter.
But the story doesn’t end there either. Bob’s brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, made a song adaptation to Rudolph. Though the song was turned down by such popular vocalists as Bing Crosby and Dinah Shore, it was recorded by the singing cowboy, Gene Autry.
“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was released in 1949 and became a phenomenal success, selling more records than any other Christmas song, with the exception of “White Christmas.” The gift of love that Bob May created for his daughter so long ago kept on returning to bless him again and again. And Bob May learned the lesson, just like his dear friend Rudolph, that being different isn’t so bad. In fact, being different can be a blessing!
Thanks babe!
Now for our Medical bag…….
If you’re at all concerned about your health — whether you want to gain health or maintain it — nutrition is paramount. In fact, your diet accounts for about 80% of the health benefits reaped from a healthy lifestyle, with the remaining 20% from exercise. What makes for a nutritionally sound diet? First and foremost, a healthy diet is based on fresh whole, preferably organic foods, and foods that have been minimally processed.
These are the signs of high-quality, health-promoting foods you’ll want to look for when grocery shopping:
1. It’s grown without pesticides and chemical fertilizers (organic foods fit this description, but so do some non-organic foods)
2. It’s not genetically engineered (GMOs)
3. It contains no added growth hormones, antibiotics, or other drugs
4. It does not contain any artificial ingredients, including chemical preservatives
5. It is fresh (keep in mind that if you have to choose between wilted organic produce or fresh conventional produce, the latter may be the better option)
6. It did not come from a concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO)
7. It is grown with the laws of nature in mind (meaning animals are fed their native diets, not a mix of grains and animal byproducts, and have free-range access to the outdoors)
8. It is grown in a sustainable way (using minimal amounts of water, protecting the soil from burnout, and turning animal wastes into natural fertilizers instead of environmental pollutants)
9. If the food meets these criteria, it is most likely a wise choice, and would fall under the designation of “real food,” which is the very foundation of good health.
Thanks Dr. Joe
