Dear KKIM Family,
May you surrender to God this day…….total surrender…please…….that is my prayer for all.
This Scripture was given to me by my Dear friend Anita Price at the lowest point in my life………
I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—-whether well-fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me. Still, you did well by sharing with me in my hardship. Philippians 4:11-14
Thank you so much Anita and Craig Price for what you have meant to me over the years……….Please pray for the healing of the land in the Sidney, Montana area as the body of murdered Sidney School teacher Sherry Arnold has been found. This of course has shook this community beyond belief. Your prayers are needed.
This Scripture that Anita shared with me years ago fits the CUP so well this day………
I will add this about Anita and Craig, they adopted me as a Young Radio Announcer from Minnesota who took his first job in Sidney, Montana at KGCX! Craig was the very first Coach I interviewed as a Sports Announcer back in 1979. They helped me with a Godly foundation in my life..they showed me what Godly mentorship is all about!
Would you pray with me that I go to Sidney sometime in the near future to share God’s Word with this Community that gave so much to this young Radio Announcer…I am called to give back to these wonderful folks!
Yahooooo Dewey:
God answers prayers. You probably heard my phone message yesterday, but Brother Daryl has a job! He starts training today at a convenience store and will begin working on his own this weekend. I know we will all be praying. He is very, very excited and sounds like a little kid. Haven’t ever heard him like that before.
Left a message for Pastor Steve. He had his assistant call me and assured me he would be in touch with you.
Nice speaking with you yesterday. Blessings,
Paul
PRAISE GOD for the news on my brother Daryl and PRAISE GOD for Brother Paul and Sister Rene Dokken they have been such a Godly light to Daryl during the last several months! Paul and Rene have been Godly mentor’s!
I am in mourning this day because a person I was attempting to mentor went backwards. I am tired this morning as I feel bad that I failed. I feel like a Doctor who just lost a patient. It’s been over a year now since I have been working with my friend. He get’s real close to what God has for him and he get’s scared and retreats. It was a year ago this month I was going to baptize him and I traveled a long distance, he suddenly got sick and didn’t come. This man has many God given talents and he get’s so close to the LIGHT, then he goes for cover. Let me go back to Paul and Rene’s mentorship of Daryl. Paul has had some tough words for Daryl in the past along with words of great love. People are not always benefited by the words they want to hear……..but the words they need to hear! Sometimes those words given in love are not received. In this case yesterday it was not any words that were given it was the light that was shining brighter than ever in his walk and the works of Jesus Christ in the life of my friend and for some reason he retreated to his old ways. It’s been 20 years since Brother Daryl has had a job……..In those years I have never given up on Daryl, even thou he would get so mad at me, say mean things to me, I will not give up on my friend, my prayer is that my friend will return to the FULL LIGHT of Jesus Christ, with renewed strength and never retreat again from the goodness, the fullness of life in JESUS CHRIST!
I don’t give up on anybody…God did not and has not given up on me and you!
My friend, just like my brother Daryl has been hurt by people, been rejected by people….even family members, incredible hurt that I have never felt…….This hurt still exists in my friend and my brother Daryl to this day……..This writing by Darlene is so timely….Thank you Darlene……..
Isaiah 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted withgrief…
This incredible passage written hundreds of years before Jesus Christ tells in vivid detail the path our Savior would walk. Jesus could have absolutely avoided pain. He could have looked away from our sin and left us to fend for ourselves. He could have distanced himself from the suffering of our world. However, instead of keeping grief at arm’s length Jesus opened himself up to it, entering into it. Instead of leaving us alone in our sins Jesus became like us in order to redeem us. For many of us who know real pain, Jesus is a close acquaintance, present and full of compassion!
He is here in our pain, He sees, He knows, He feels, He grieves!
AND
He loves, He hopes, He prays, He comforts, He guides!
As only one who has walked a similar road can do, Jesus longs to take us by his side and lead us through. Whenever we question this journey, struggle with our lot, and when there are no answers…He is there! Whenever we can’t look on our circumstances any more… seeing the man of sorrows, here with us, the one acquainted with grief is the only vision that can bring hope. Hallelujah, what a Savior is true, may it echo in our souls today! How has Christ met you in your pain?
Darlene Quiring
What a timely message Darlene, only our LORD would know that those words were needed this day……
And then this from Pastor Leonard ties so Godly into our message today……….
When we are wit’s end: CRY OUT TO GOD!!!!
Many times we are faced with obstacles in our physical body (sickness) or attacked by spiritual forces as we strive to live a victorious life. Ephesians 6:10 tells us that we battle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. When we are faced with these attacks, God’s Word tells us what to do. Jeremiah 33:3 states, “call to me (cry out) and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know”. When we have specific needs in our spiritual walk, God, in His infinite compassion, is willing to help us to meet and overcome these needs. And many times, He often goes far beyond our request to do more than we can ask and imagine.
By “crying out”to God and asking Him to overcome the evil one and his power, we seek and find the victory that only HE can provide. David says in Psalm 56:9, “when I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back: this I know, because God is for me”. Even the archangel Michael used his voice to “cry out” to God for God’s help when contending against Satan for the body of Moses (Jude 9).
“Crying out” to God when we face obstacles, trials, disease, sickness, or barriers to our spiritual growth is encouraged and exampled in God’s Word.
Here are a few examples:
1). For strength in my spiritual walk – Psalm 138:3, David states, “in the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.”
2). For wisdom in my decisions – Proverbs 2:3, “cry out for discernment, and lift up you voice for understanding”. God desires to guide, direct and show us the correct path, when we “cry out” to Him.
3). Remember when Elijah was called to go to Zarephath and lodge with a widow and her son. Well, the son stopped breathing. The prophet took the boy’s body and carried him upstairs and laid him on his own bed. Here the prophet did the only thing he knew to do. Listen to God’s Word as to what Elijah did. “then he cried out to the Lord and said, ‘O Lord my God, have you brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?’ and he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, ‘O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him”. Do you know what happened? God responded immediately. “Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.”. I Kings 17:17-24
So, my friends, if you find yourself facing obstacles, barriers, sickness or an opposing spirit, remember the words from the Bible, “cry out” to God for protection, deliverance and healing. We can never face a darkness so deep that we cannot cry out to God. Remember Psalm 50:15, “call upon Me in the day of trouble”. No matter what the dark situation, cry out to God! WHY? Let us read the rest of that verse. God tells us, “I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me”. The crying out and the answers are to bring glory, honor and praise to HIM!
Sola Deo Gloria!
For God’s Glory Alone!!!
Pastor Leonard Navarre
Thank you so much Pastor Leonard!
Day 34 of our 40 Day Journey…………
Psalm 22:1 Old testament Prophecy
My God, my God, why have you turned your back on me?
Your ears are deaf to my groans.
Fulfilled in Jesus Matthew 27:46
In the middle of the dark afternoon, Jesus cried out in a loud voice.
Jesus: Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani——My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?
The most horrible existence in this world is a life separated from God. Yet, as King David lamented about himself and his descendant the Messiah, God’s own Son was separated from Him while He hung on the cross so we wouldn’t be………………
Let us be in prayer………………..
As we continue the CUP this day we have Anita Price my dear friend from Sidney Montana who shares with us this day as well as Birthday boy Dr. Joe, who just turned 29 and also Pastor Bill Ruhl…….
“In God We Trust”
Daniel’s Gloves
I sat, with two friends, in the picture window of a quaint restaurant just off the corner of the town-square. The food and the company were both especially good that day.
As we talked, my attention was drawn outside, across the street. There, walking into town, was a man who appeared to be carrying all his worldly goods on his back. He was carrying, a well-worn sign that read, ‘I will work for food.’ My heart sank.
I brought him to the attention of my friends and noticed that others around us had stopped eating to focus on him. Heads moved in a mixture of sadness and disbelief.
We continued with our meal, but his image lingered in my mind. We finished our meal and went our separate ways. I had errands to do and quickly set out to accomplish them. I glanced toward the town square, looking somewhat halfheartedly for the strange visitor. I was fearful, knowing that seeing him again would call some response. I drove through town and saw nothing of him. I made some purchases at a store and got back in my car.
Deep within me, the Spirit of God kept speaking to me: ‘Don’t go back to the office until you’ve at least driven once more around the square.’
Then with some hesitancy, I headed back into town. As I turned the square’s third corner, I saw him. He was standing on the steps of the church, going through his sack.
I stopped and looked; feeling both compelled to speak to him, yet wanting to drive on. The empty parking space on the corner seemed to be a sign from God: an invitation to park. I pulled in, got out and approached the town’s newest visitor.
‘Looking for the pastor?’ I asked.
‘Not really,’ he replied, ‘just resting.’
‘Have you eaten today?’
‘Oh, I ate something early this morning.’
‘Would you like to have lunch with me?’
‘Do you have some work I could do for you?’
‘No work,’ I replied ‘I commute here to work from the city, but I would like to take you to lunch.’
‘Sure,’ he replied with a smile.
As he began to gather his things, I asked some surface questions. Where you headed?’
St. Louis ‘
‘Where you from?’
‘Oh, all over; mostly Florida ..’
‘How long you been walking?’
‘Fourteen years,’ came the reply.
I knew I had met someone unusual. We sat across from each other in the same restaurant I had left earlier. His face was weathered slightly beyond his 38 years. His eyes were dark yet clear, and he spoke with an eloquence and articulation that was startling He removed his jacket to reveal a bright red T-shirt that said, ‘Jesus is The Never Ending Story.’
Then Daniel’s story began to unfold. He had seen rough times early in life. He’d made some wrong choices and reaped the consequences.. Fourteen years earlier, while backpacking across the country, he had stopped on the beach in Daytona… He tried to hire on with some men who were putting up a large tent and some equipment. A concert, he thought.
He was hired, but the tent would not house a concert but revival services, and in those services he saw life more clearly. He gave his life over to God
‘Nothing’s been the same since,’ he said, ‘I felt the Lord telling me to keep walking, and so I did, some 14 years now.’
‘Ever think of stopping?’ I asked.
‘Oh, once in a while, when it seems to get the best of me But God has given me this calling. I give out Bibles That’s what’s in my sack. I work to buy food and Bibles, and I give them out when His Spirit leads.’
I sat amazed. My homeless friend was not homeless. He was on a mission and lived this way by choice. The question burned inside for a moment and then I asked: ‘What’s it like?’
‘What?’
‘To walk into a town carrying all your things on your back and to show your sign?’
‘Oh, it was humiliating at first. People would stare and make comments. Once someone tossed a piece of half-eaten bread and made a gesture that certainly didn’t make me feel welcome. But then it became humbling to realize that God was using me to touch lives and change people’s concepts of other folks like me.’
My concept was changing, too. We finished our dessert and gathered his things. Just outside the door, he paused He turned to me and said, ‘Come Ye blessed of my Father and inherit the kingdom I’ve prepared for you. For when I was hungry you gave me food, when I was thirsty you gave me drink, a stranger and you took me in.’
I felt as if we were on holy ground. ‘Could you use another Bible?’ I asked.
He said he preferred a certain translation. It traveled well and was not too heavy. It was also his personal favorite… ‘I’ve read through it 14 times,’ he said.
‘I’m not sure we’ve got one of those, but let’s stop by our church and see’ I was able to find my new friend a Bible that would do well, and he seemed very grateful.
‘Where are you headed from here?’ I asked.
‘Well, I found this little map on the back of this amusement park coupon.’
‘Are you hoping to hire on there for a while?’
‘No, I just figure I should go there. I figure someone under that star right there needs a Bible, so that’s where I’m going next.’
He smiled, and the warmth of his spirit radiated the sincerity of his mission. I drove him back to the town-square where we’d met two hours earlier, and as we drove, it started raining. We parked and unloaded his things.
‘Would you sign my autograph book?’ he asked… ‘I like to keep messages from folks I meet.’
I wrote in his little book that his commitment to his calling had touched my life. I encouraged him to stay strong. And I left him with a verse of scripture from Jeremiah, ‘I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you; Plans to give you a future and a hope.’
‘Thanks, man,’ he said. ‘I know we just met and we’re really just strangers, but I love you.’
‘I know,’ I said, ‘I love you, too.’ ‘The Lord is good!’
‘Yes, He is. How long has it been since someone hugged you?’ I asked.
A long time,’ he replied
And so on the busy street corner in the drizzling rain, my new friend and I embraced, and I felt deep inside that I had been changed.. He put his things on his back, smiled his winning smile and said, ‘See you in the New Jerusalem.’
‘I’ll be there!’ was my reply.
He began his journey again. He headed away with his sign dangling from his bedroll and pack of Bibles. He stopped, turned and said, ‘When you see something that makes you think of me, will you pray for me?’
‘You bet,’ I shouted back, ‘God bless.’
‘God bless.’ And that was the last I saw of him.
Late that evening as I left my office, the wind blew strong. The cold front had settled hard upon the town. I bundled up and hurried to my car. As I sat back and reached for the emergency brake, I saw them… a pair of well-worn brown work gloves neatly laid over the length of the handle. I picked them up and thought of my friend and wondered if his hands would stay warm that night without them.
Then I remembered his words: ‘If you see something that makes you think of me, will you pray for me?’
Today his gloves lie on my desk in my office.. They help me to see the world and its people in a new way, and they help me remember those two hours with my unique friend and to pray for his ministry. ‘See you in the New Jerusalem,’ he said. Yes, Daniel, I know I will…
‘I shall pass this way but once. Therefore, any good that I can do or any kindness that I can show, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again.’
My instructions were to send this to four people that I wanted God to bless and I picked you. Please pass this to four people you want to be blessed.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached. Please do not break this pattern. Prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let’s continue to pray for one another. God bless and have a nice day!
‘Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and e-mail buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace, In Jesus’ precious Name Amen.’
I sent this to more than four, but this story is so touching I felt each of you would enjoy it greatly.
GOD BLESS YOU, MY FRIEND… AND YOUR FAMILY
— GOD BLESS YOU!
Thank you Anita! We love you!

March 23, 2012. Rise up today to the full stature I have given you. Think of it as if you had a football that needed more air inside in order to properly perform. You insert the needle from an air pump and fill the football to peak performance. At peak performance, the football can be kicked greater distances and heights. Everyone leaks to some extent. Most leak daily. Last weekend we drove over two hours to gain our destination where we would share about repentance and experiencing the Kingdom of God. We prayed in tongues that whole trip. And when we stood before the people to share, they and we could tell that we had been raised up for that occasion. That is why God was able to impact so many lives. Rise up today.

March 23, 2012. Something you have never seen has entered your mind. It seems plausible enough and fits in with something else which seems good. But as of now you don’t know if this is of Me. You are also thinking what do I need to do to find out? The best thing is to pray for My perfect will. Bind all barriers to this being accomplished. Pray for the right time for this to occur. Eventually My plans will be accomplished but you can hasten the day by praying and believing. This is the power you have. When you give your will and timing all to Me, I accomplish great things through you.

March 23, 2012. Call off the dogs. Stop hounding yourself into the ground. You can at times be your own worst critic. Being constructively critical is one thing, but you have become merciless towards yourself. Do you realize you have been exonerated from your past, present and future sins? I wiped your slate clean by the shedding of My blood. You are not guilty as charged by the enemy or yourself. You have been acquitted of your seemingly unpardonable sins. Your sins have been forgiven. I have forgiven you. Can you forgive yourself? Hound dogs follow a distinctive scent. Your scent is fresh and new. Don’t put on old garments of lies and deception.
2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NASB) “Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold new things have come.” Kevin Robinson
Yesterday’s Medical Bag article had me addressing “Milk drinking”. But, in it I’d made the comment, “Please NEVER use soy milk for anything.” Now I’d like to address why I made that statement about “soy”. This is one of those “foods” that I really don’t give you a choice as to whether or not you should or should not drink it. Just like tobacco, I have nothing good to say about soy. Please take a moment to read the following article; I did not write it. I’ve had this article in my files for quite some time and I share it with those who ask me about “soy”. It’s time to share this with you…
The Dangers of Soy Are Real – and Much Worse Than You Might Think
The dangers of soy are thoroughly documented in the scientific literature, which makes it hard to believe that many health and fitness communities and counselors, and most health food stores, still promote soy products as ultra-healthy foods.
Hopefully this harmful misrepresentation of soy foods will begin to change as the dangers of soy become better known.
A Summary of the Dangers of Soy
• Soybeans and soy products contain high levels of phytic acid, which inhibits assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc.
• Soaking, sprouting, and long, slow cooking do not neutralize phytic acid.
• Diets high in phytic acid have been shown to cause growth problems in children.
• Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders.
• Test animals showed stunted growth when fed trypsin inhibitors from soy.
• The plant estrogens found in soy, called phytoestrogens, disrupt endocrine function, that is, the proper functioning of the glands that produce hormones, and have the potential to cause infertility as well as to promote breast cancer in adult women.
• Hypothyroidism and thyroid cancer may be caused by soy phytoestrogens.
• Infant soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease.
• Soy has been found to increase the body’s need for vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
• Fragile soy proteins are exposed to high temperatures during processing in order to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein, making them unsuitable for human digestion.
• This same process results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines. (Doesn’t sound like anything anyone would want to eat, does it?)
• MSG, (also called free glutamic acid), a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing. Many soy products have extra MSG added as well.
• Soy foods contain elevated levels of toxic aluminum, which negatively affects the nervous system the kidneys and has been implicated in the onset of Alzheimer’s.
If this list of the dangers of soy isn’t enough to make you run out the door of your local health food store, please keep reading. It does get worse.
Feeding Babies Infant Soy Formula Is Like Giving Them Birth Control Pills
• It’s been found that babies given infant soy formulas have 13,000 to 22,000 times more estrogen than babies fed milk-based formulas.
• Babies fed exclusively on infant soy formula are receiving the estrogenic equivalent (based on body weight) of at least four or five birth control pills per day! You read that right. Four or five birth control pills per day! Here’s the reference so you can check this out for yourself. [Irvine, C. et al., “The Potential Adverse Effects of Soybean Phytoestrogens in Infant Feeding”, New Zealand Medical Journal May 24, 1995, p. 318.] By contrast, dairy-based infant formula contains almost no phytoestrogens, nor does human milk, even when the mother eats soy products. (Sally Fallon & Mary G. Enig, Ph.D.)
• There has been an increase of delayed physical maturation among boys, including lack of development of sexual organs.
• Conversely, many girls today show signs of puberty, such as breast development and pubic hair, before the age of eight, and some even before the age of three.
• Both of these abnormal conditions have been linked to the use of soy formulas as well as to exposure to “environmental estrogens” such as PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) and DDE (dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene) a breakdown product of DDT.
Would you want to knowingly expose your tiny infant to the dangers of soy formula?
But Don’t Oriental Cultures Eat Lots of Soy?
It seems that historically, Oriental cultures consumed mostly traditionally fermented soy products such as miso, tempeh, natto, shoyu and tamari. (Tofu is not fermented, and falls into the dangerous soy foods category.) They consumed these soy foods in small amounts, as a condiment.
• Soy foods account for only 1.5 percent of calories in the Chinese diet, researchers found. (1977 Chang KC)
• The actual soybean consumed today is not the same one used by traditional Oriental cultures.
So, there you have it my friend. Please, take a critical moment to always read your labels on the foods you purchase. You are going to be very surprised by how many times you see “soy” in the ingredients. Look for brands that do not have soy in it, and if you can’t find any that don’t, then please consider going without that particular food item(s)…it’s just not worth it in the long run.

Let’s hear from Pastor Bill!
Financial Advice You Need to Know:
“Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go…”. That childhood song jumped up in my spirit today, so I asked the Lord what does that have to do with financial advice. His response: “Stewardship; managing what I’ve provided and establishing a lifestyle of preparation!” What was it about my grandmother’s house that would be worthwhile to share? The aroma, the doilies, bowls of candy? No, it was her pantry and what that represents to us today. My grandmother’s pantry was not a large cupboard, but more like a walk in closet with shelves from floor to ceiling, neatly stocked with every imaginable food, toiletry, cleaning product, batteries, kerosene (or lamp oil). You name it, it was there. As you used something, the products were rotated forward and that item was added to her grocery list to be purchased and restocked in the future. Grandma wasn’t worried about some impending disaster, although she was amply prepared if something tragic or unforeseen should occur, she had just been taught to have whatever might be needed on hand so that she wouldn’t be caught short and she only went “shopping” once a month. They had one car (she hadn’t even learned to drive), my grandfather worked in Akron, Ohio which was quite a drive from Hudson, therefore, they always had a garden at the back of their property and a well stocked pantry (not just a week’s worth, but several months supply).
We can learn something from this concept that will help our financial bottom line. Price of gas got you watching your driving habits? Well, make a shopping list and start building a pantry in your home. Watch the grocery ads for sales (My grandmother only shopped on the day the paper indicated the most items on her list would be on sale. Kind of a pre-couponing concept) and plan your day to travel to as many destinations at one time as possible. Get gas, haircut, dry cleaners, drug store, grocery, any scheduled appointments, stop by to see family or friends, and then back home. It was an outing, not just a quick run here, back home, and out again as we have become so accustomed to doing. Consolidating your trips will save hundreds of dollars a year in just gasoline alone, not to mention reducing the number of miles you drive which will reduce maintenance costs, tire replacement and the list goes on. List buying and specific days, which gets you the best prices and keeps you from compulsive (binge) buying of items you don’t NEED, has long been proven as an effective means for keeping expenditures under control. Plus, with a well stocked pantry you always have what you need within reach and you will have peace of mind should something unexpected occur. Statistics indicate that in most cities store shelf supplies and warehouse inventories are depleted in as few as two days in the wake of a disaster.
So, fill your house with the smell of lavender, put out some fresh cut flowers, break out the iron skillet, pull up the rocking chair and reminisce…the pantry’s full. What could be better? Oh yes, Grandma’s cooking! Thanks Nana!
