Dear KKIM Family,
Abba I belong to you……….Abba we belong to you…………
Thanks for stopping by for a CUP!
Scripture from Godvine………..
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4
Being a child of God is the greatest gift we can ever imagine. He is so much more powerful, so much more loving, and so much more forgiving than anything in this earthly world we live in. Let’s all pray continually, keep our faith and eyes on Jesus, and rejoice in the knowledge that we are destined for paradise with Him forever and ever. 🙂
Men: To undervalue your wife is one of the greatest mistakes you could ever make. Tony Evans and I second that!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know you have been blessed when you are able to enjoy the goodness of God despite the trails and tribulations associated with what you are doing. And you have access to enough strength, assets, and capacity to do what you have been called to do. Tony Evans in his book, Kingdom Man.
Last night on www.newmexiconewsandviews.com Former Congressman Bill Redmond shared with us his thoughts and memories of Chuck Colson. Bill became close to Chuck and said one way to remember Chuck is to read his books, play his audio clips, etc……….Here is a quote from Chuck from his book, The Good Life.
“The Good life cannot be denied even in the midst of horrific adversity. In fact, we often find true meaning and purpose in deprivation, when all the distractions of modern life are stripped away. The good life is realized in our ability to hold fast to the truth and our human dignity that rests upon it.”
Here is a poem sent to us by Pastor Leonard……….
Dewey Rebekaah posted this on Facebook today. Wow! What a blessing to me. May it bless you also.
The road is hard, the road is long
But, by God’s grace, life goes on;
And though my face like flint is set,
I must remember… I’m not home yet.
And when life’s storms toss me about,
When I’m overwhelmed with fear and doubt,
He’s there to remind me, lest I forget,
I’m a stranger here… I’m not home yet.
I take great comfort when I hear Him say
In His most sweet and gentle way,
“Child, don’t worry and don’t you fret,
Remember this .. you’re not home yet!”

God bless you Rebekaah Burnett
From the book, Extraordinary The Life You’re meant to Live by John Bevere……….
He writes………
We can’t do one thing to make God love us any less. However, just as I stated to my four sons, we are responsible for how pleased God is with us. His pleasure in us is based on our choices in life. This is why Paul writes in no uncertain terms, “We make it our aim…..to be well pleasing to Him” 2 Cor 5:9
We have an awful number of Christians making poor decisions!
Let’s examine Paul’s words closely. The word aim simply means “goal” In fact, the New International Version reads exactly this way: “So we make it our goal….” Our life goal is children of God should be to thrill our Dad
How are you going to thrill God today?
The word pleasing comes from the Greek word euarestos.Strong’s Concordance defies this word precisely as it is translated: “well pleasing.” The word Paul uses doesn’t mean just pleasing but well pleasing. “Average” should not be our targeted goal in bringing delight to God. We should be passionate in our pursuit to be fully pleasing to Him.
Let’s examine Paul’s statement from the Message: “Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that’s what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions.” I love the words main thing. This should be the driving motivation in the life of every one of us. Nothing else should take preeminence over this purpose. If we live with this supreme goal as our life standard, then two things will occur: abounding joy and complete fulfillment!
This book is a life changer..It is available from Kevin at Bibles Plus!
By the way another book that Bill Redmond highly recommends for every Christian to read is, The Great Evangelical Disaster by Francis Schaefer, Pastor Paul Holt says it is excellent and it has him even more fired up for Jesus!!!!
I have to say with all my friends, like Bill Redmond, Leonard Navarre and Paul Holt who I have mentioned this morning in the CUP, These men help me so much in my walk with Jesus, in fact Frank Haley is helping me right now as we discern a news story. This is a very timely devotional from Love Worth Finding and Adrian Rogers…….
True Friendship
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
True friends will put an edge on your life. They will make you a sharper person. Not all my friends do that for me, but my best friends do. Have you ever had a friend who loved you so much that he would even hurt you in order to help you?
Proverbs 27:6 says, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” What truer words of love can be spoken than from the heart of a friend who is going to spend an eternity with you? Even if those words hurt, they are words that will heal.
ACTION POINT:
Do you have a friend who sharpens you as iron? It will only take you a moment to send that friend an encouraging note or postcard. Do it today.
My wife Sharon does this for me also! We just can’t have YES people around us! The kid’s to!!!!! The doggies to!!!!

Correction. Yesterday we mistakenly sent the incorrect message from Ras. It was a duplicate of the message from the previous day (Sunday, April 22). We apologize for the error and have included the correct message below.
April 24, 2012. Build your life as if you were building a house, one brick at a time. Decide early the type of house you desire and what you wish to have in it. Inquire of Me if you do not know. Some build their houses without Me. In My Scriptures, I give many details on how to build a house or dwelling. Study My plan and meditate on the details. Do not wait until you can get it perfect before you begin the process. At each juncture in the process, seek Me. You are the house of the Lord. Do you know that? He wants you to have the best of houses because He wants you and others to know just how much He loves you. Inquire of Me.
Proverbs 24:3-4 (NASB) “By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.” Ras Robinson

April 24, 2012. Above all seek My peace. My peace is beyond human understanding, and will delve into the depths and heights of My Spirit. You can have it anywhere, any time and with anyone. How ? You ask! Be sure you have dealt with any past hurts you have with anyone including yourself by choosing to forgive. Next any future concerns and fears you have lay them before Me and leave them here. Now keep your mind in the present. Work on what is before you with focus. Get the things done that must be done. Now take time for yourself by walking in peace, and do this in the awareness of Me and My Presence.
Philippians 4:7-9 (KJV) “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Bev Robinson

April 24, 2012. You have become overly anxious in some matters you are facing. Most if not all of these issues are way beyond your control. Worrying about the results and effects upon you and upon others only makes the situations worse. Reverse the trend and begin to pray about these circumstances. Entrust Me to handle the outcome of these self-imposed obstacles. The status of these matters is stealing your peace and joy. Would you allow Me to oversee the results in each scenario? I am Jehovah Shalom; the one who brings, fulfills, and sustains perfect peace. Lay your burdens upon me and enter into My rest.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB) “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Kevin Robinson

This is the message from Ras that should have been included in yesterday’s e-mail (for April 23).
April 23, 2012. On Saturday evening, our blessed time with my grandson and his precious family was interrupted suddenly by baby great granddaughter’s screaming. Just learning to walk, Heidi had fallen and bumped her head on our fireplace brick hearth. Her brother, parents and great grandparents rushed to the scene and comforted Heidi. Nothing was more important. As a baby cries, the parents are alerted to take immediate action to help. The Lord impressed me, “So it is with Me when I hear your crying out for help. Never be timid or ashamed to scream, cry or otherwise let Me know you are in trouble. I am bound by My name and covenant to rush to your side. Never will I fail you. Be comforted and reassured in knowing this today and forever.
Psalm 3:3-4 (NASB) “But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.” Ras Robinson
Spring, Heat Mean Start of Ozone Warnings
Ozone, the prevalent gas found in air pollution, and mostly experienced from March to October, can trigger severe violent breathing attacks in many people, particularly children and seniors, says a lung expert from Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston.
“If inhaled, ozone causes breathing and airway problems for asthma sufferers and smokers with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). People can have difficulty breathing and sometimes experience severe chest pains. For some sufferers, immediate hospital attention and treatment are required,” says Dr. Nick Hanania, director, Adult Asthma Clinic and Pulmonary Diagnostic Laboratory, Ben Taub General Hospital, part of the Harris County Hospital District.
Houston, the nation’s fourth largest city, has some of the highest concentration of ozone pollution.
Created through a combination of pollutants from cars, industrial sites and the area’s intense heat, ozone is a dangerous gas. However, this ozone gas should not be confused with the protective atmospheric layer of ozone shielding earth from the sun’s harmful rays. Ground-level ozone pollution can be seen as smog from miles away and sometimes appears as a hazy shimmer around a downtown skyline, says Hanania.
People susceptible to ozone are children who normally spend a lot of time outdoors during the summer, active adults who work or exercise outdoors, people with asthma or other respiratory problems and others who have unknown reactions to ozone.
Ozone can cause the following symptoms:
• Cough, throat irritation and uncomfortable sensation in the chest
• Reduced lung function and the inability to breathe normally
• Inflamed and damaged cells in the lining of the lungs
• Difficulty fighting off lung infections
Not all people show symptoms. In some, lung damage can occur without any noticeable signs. In others, lung damage can continue to occur even after symptoms disappear.
When levels are high, people at risk should take these simple precautions:
• Stay indoors and in air-conditioned comfort, as much as possible
• Limit outside activities to the early morning hours or after sunset
• Don’t exercise or work outdoors when ozone levels tend to be highest
• Stay away from high-vehicular traffic areas and avoid exercising near these areas
Ozone is not confined to industrial or heavy car traffic areas of town. Ozone gas can be moved about by wind and sometimes lingers in areas and trap itself inside houses. In houses without air conditioning, ozone can come in through open windows and doors. Fans placed in windows for cooling can pull in ozone into houses.
Public ozone alerts are important because they help people stay safe and healthy. Depending on the levels of ozone in the air, these alerts can be life-saving for some people. The best thing is to be in a place with central air or air conditioning.
If symptoms and breathing problems occur, seek immediate medical attention through a primary care physician or an emergency center. For more information on ozone warnings and forecasts, visit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: http://www.epa.gov/ozonedesignations/2008standards/whereyoulive.htm
You can also get ozone readings from your local Internet weather information.
