Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent me forth, so I am sending you.
And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit! John 20:21-22
Picture that in your heart, mind and soul this day……..Receive the Holy Spirit this day and all days….
Peace be with you……..I am praying as I type this for a POWERFUL movement of the Holy Spirit in your day.
Good morning my Dear friends, thank you for stopping by for a CUP!
Love to you all!
I am so very blessed to share with you each day!
Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, “Whoever is on the Lord’s side—–come to me!” Exodus 32:26
Lord, show us today where we are more concerned about Your being on our side rather than us being on Your side. And help us make that paradigm shift: We want to be on Your side.
WOW! Those are POWERFUL words…..where are you? Pray over those words…….They meant much to me this day.
Today I am drinking out of my CUP that Karen Rowe gave me for writing the forward in her book, “The Train Whistle”! Thank you Karen the coffee this morning tastes extra good! If you have not read Karen’s book, please do you will be blessed! AMEN! www.thetrainwhistle.com

As I have been praying for rain everyday now for almost 2 years……….we must pray constantly on all things. The Lord shared this story with me yesterday…….
Daniel, who was in Persia, prayed and fasted for three weeks as he sought an answer from God. He was standing on the bank of the Tigris river when an angel appeared before him. The angel spoke, explaining to him why he had been waiting for three weeks.
Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, cam to me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia Daniel 10:12,13
We can be sure the prince of Persia mentioned by the angel was not a human prince. he was a powerful demon—-so powerful the angel needed Michael, another angel, to assist him.
This account helps us understand that when we pray, unseen things happen in the spiritual realm. The forces of darkness may be impeding our answers, attacking us with doubt and disappointment, or delaying an answer. When we pray, pray that Satan and his angels will not be allowed to interfere. Pray with authority Christ gives us and seek to remove any roadblocks the devil may attempt to place in the way.
The Lord has shown me this day, that to many of us expect instant answers and lose our faith.
We are living in a dark time, much spiritual warfare is going on. Not the popular thing to talk about, but it is the truth. We must arise early each day and read God’s Word and hear Him speak to us through the Holy Spirit. We must be in constant prayer to guide us through these dark days we live in, again, not the popular thing to say and again many followers! But I can only share with you what the Lord has shown me this day. This is called being Salt and Light.
Prayer and rain……….
A second picture of persistent prayer is found in 1 Kings 18. Elijah told King Ahab, “Go eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain” v 41.
Although it had not rained in the land for more than three years, Elijah went to the top of Mount Carmel and began to pray, expecting the rain to come.
“Go look toward the sea, he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. V43
Elijah prayed and the servant looked. Elijah prayed again, and again the servant looked. Seven times they did this, until finally the servant returned with a new answer: “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” v44
This was more than enough for Elijah, and he had one last thing to say to his servant: “Go and tell Ahab, “Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you” v44
Finally, as God had promised and as Elijah had prayed, it began to rain.
Our prayers are POWERFUL, When we pray, unseen things happen in the spiritual realm.
James 5:17, 18 says, Elijah was a human being, even as we are. he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced it’s crops. AMEN!
Do we pray with a childlike faith that says, Jesus and God can do anything?
As we grow in faith our prayer life bears much fruit………..
Does this World have the patients to pray and wait upon the Lord?
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). God’s people are commanded to “be still” in this verse. The imperative gives a solemn duty to those in a covenant relationship with God
Being still and waiting, one of the hardest things I have had to learn and I am still a work in progress!
I now turn the CUP over to Karen Rowe……….
God Bless you Karen!
