Dear Family of Jesus,
Thank YOU for stopping by for a CUP!
POWERFUL quote here from Tony Evans….
The level of your worry reflects the size of your faith.
From The Whisper of God…….
“Your ability to weather life’s storms rests on your ability to hand them over to God.”
I also love this from Tony Evans……..Read this one..it is most POWERFUL!
Once you leave what HE has called you to do, and you try to rule other people’s world’s, you are on your own. God is not interested in helping you advance your own kingdom, someone ele’s kingdom, or to rule someone ele’s world. God has a kingdom, and He has designed specific authority for specific individuals to work according to a specific plan to best advance His kingdom.
WOW! AWESOME! Great Words from Tony Evans……should make us all think!
This can really open up your eye’s or a can of worms!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are in Ministry here at the Radio Ranch and CUP for God’s Glory Alone………nothing else, nothing more……..
As Dad used to say, “Chew on those words awhile son!”
Better read Dr. Joe’s column today on Fish…it may SHOCK YOU! I thank the Lord for Dr. Joe and his Godly Wisdom.
Let us go into prayer………..From Sandy……….
I just got an update on Bob (Robert Perry) …. This poor man!
Because of a severe infection, one of his legs had to be removed to his hip. They are still fighting an infection in his groin area. Today, he went into surgery to repair his other leg that is broken in two places. It was broken during the accident and they are afraid of it healing incorrectly and not having good use of his only leg. This man has gone through so much in the past 3 weeks and has a long road ahead of him. I believe that God does answer prayers and SPECIFIC prayers. I thank God for all of the wonderful people who have prayed and continue to pray for him and his family!
Sandy Harrington
People are calling the Radio Ranch for updates on Robert, so we know many are praying!!!!!!!!!
Please pray for our Dear, Dear friend Pastor Bill Ruhl. He is not feeling well, Bill has lost his energy and some weight, Please keep him in your prayers. We love Bill so much here at the Radio Ranch! Bill and Monica have been such a blessing to us!
Please continue to pray for Frank Haley as he works and recovers from his hip replacement! Frank was back to work in tow weeks after surgery and still has some pain. Please pray.
Please pray for our Dear, Dear friend Dr. Larry Bates as he recovers from his hip replacement surgery.
Pray for our friend Lew.
We just love it when we hear from Folks, this morning while I was writing the CUP I got a message from Sonja Haldeman a classmate of mine in the class of 1974, Windom High School, she lives in Arizona now but is in Windom visiting her folks and Sonja sent me a message she walked by the house I grew up in yesterday and then listened to me on line at www.mykkim.com! How about that! Praise God! It was nice for Sonja to take the time and write me a note. I remember Sonja as one who always had a smile on her face! I told her that and she said, “Jesus makes me smile!” Lord Willing Sharon and I are going back to Windom in August, have not been back home in 10 years. Many memories of Windom….seems like a simpler time…..like Mayberry and Andy Griffith…….Windom, where the Lord built my foundation of Faith, so many AWESOME, GODLY folks to help raise up children.
I know one reason the Lord has me do the CUP and Radio each day is to bring forth what I learned growing up in Windom. Sharing the goodness.
I have to say that one of the most special things that comes with our relationship with the Lord is to hear Him! Oh, Holy Spirit thank YOU for being with me everyday and guiding me! The discernment that comes with our relationship with Jesus Christ, WOW! The Wisdom! WOW! The best GPS in the World is Jesus Christ!
The Lord keeps sending me into Proverbs, and awhile back I read a book by Billy Graham and he said there was a time in his life where everyday he would read a chapter of Proverbs! Now if Billy Graham needed that encouragement, how about you and me!!! LOL LOL!
For years I have talked about the NOTHING NOISE in the world……That came from a message that Pastor Barry Dickens gave years ago in Los Alamos, NM.
With all the NOTHING NOISE in the World you and I need to be in the Word of God more than ever! And the Lord has me in Proverbs seeking Godly Wisdom and guidance…..not from man, not from a political party.from the Holy Holy Word of our God.
Janice Falk of Windom, Minn says she loves the messages on the CUP because they are easy to understand…..Thank you Janice, it is always the Words that the Lord gives me, Jesus message is a simple one. As My Dear Friend John Taylor says Religion has messed many people up. Many have complicated the message of Jesus Christ! That is why we need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be in the Word all the time and the Word becomes PART OF US! Do you feel that? I can! If you need help in this just email me.
I don’t think we talk and Preach enough on the Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. What does that mean to you? I like to have fun with that, there is a scene in my favorite movie. “The Hoosiers” where the Coach, played by Gene Hackman, (I met the real Coach, Myron Wood)) where he says something like, “I want you to guard him and get so close to him you can tell me what flavor of gum he chews!” LOL! LOL! My prayer is that you get so close to Jesus Christ you could tell me if he chews gum and what flavor!!!! LOL LOL!
Do you FEEL JESUS with you? Do you FEEL HIS presence?
I get all sorts of answers when I ask that…….If you want to talk about this drop me a line, I am here to serve. Then there are people who PRETEND to know Jesus, and don’t……….They will swear they know HIM, but don’t.
Our LORD is not one of drama and confusion. Too much drama going on in the so-called world of so called Christians.
Be Salt and Light and not part of the drama and confusion, step away from the darkness, call upon the discernment and wisdom of our Lord!
If not you will become part of the drama, confusion and darkness.
My testimony to you is that there is NOTHING, NOTHING like a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST! Sometimes I feel like I am floating off the ground!
Look at Proverbs today and read Chapter 5……….
Verse One…..
My son, be attentive to my Wisdom Godly, Wisdom learned by actual and costly experience and incline your ear to my understanding of what is prudent for you.
Verse Two………
That you may exercise proper discrimination and discretion and your lips may guard and keep knowledge and the wise answer to temptation.
WOW…..I will never grow tired of reading into Proverbs and the reading of God’s Word.
My prayer is that right now you will drop everything after drinking this CUP and dive into Proverbs and drink in all the Wisdom!
I really love the folks at Fullnessonline……..What a POWERFUL message today…..

A good nutritional meal every day makes a big difference to a child. Good nutrition is a good investment in a child’s future. The kids need your help. See below.
July 12, 2012. Adoption is becoming more and more common across the world.Church families are taking advantage of the opportunities to adopt children for a host of reasons. Sometimes those who are adopted must be introduced to a new way of living. It becomes a gateway to speak good, wholesome and instructive words of life. Bev and I have been on an imperfect quest to create our world at home through God’s word being spoken in creative ways. We have seen our family change in significant ways through good words combined with intentional good deeds. We have an adopted granddaughter and she has changed our whole family by the gifts and talents she has brought. We refuse to think of her in any way except as totally connected by the blood of Jesus to our hearts forever.
Proverbs 12:14 (NASB) “A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, and the deeds of a man’s hands will return to him.” Ras Robinson

July 12, 2012. I put you where you are…the family…the job…the church…the position. You are there because of Me. Some of the circumstances are of your own making and some because of what others have done. I chose you before the foundation of the world to be in My family. There are things you face each day which are challenges. At times they are big and at times they are small. But are there because of My plan for your life, to teach you, to give you an opportunity to show you that I AM all wisdom and all power and you have it all. You are light and salt, and also an overcomer.
Matthew 5:14-16 (MSG) “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand-shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.” Bev Robinson

July 12, 2012. There isn’t one who didn’t or doesn’t want to be successful in life. Achievement is what we sought in school, extracurricular activities, career, family, or even church. The ladder toward success is what most people have pursued. Recognition, awards, money, etc., is what we desired. What price did we pay for the accomplishments though? Who did we hurt along the way? Was victory worth all the cost? The Lord says, “I have paid the ultimate price for your ultimate success in life. All of your wants and desires can be found right here within Me. Let Me fulfill the emptiness within you that always keeps you wanting more and more.”
Matthew 6:30-33 (MSG) “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers-most of which are never even seen-don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” Kevin Robinson
After A Tornado In Greensburg, KS…..
The story begins with the rescuers finding this poor little guy
they named Ralphie. Someone had already taken him under
their wing but weren’t equipped to adopt.
Ralphie, scared and starved, joined his rescuers.
This little lady also survived that wreckage.
Here she is just placed in the car, scared, but safe.
and then, they are no longer alone!
Instant friends, they comforted each other while in the car.
Add two more beagles found after that, the more, the merrier!
Oh boy, a new traveler to add to the mix. (Note: the cat coming over
the seat needing shelter.) Now, just how is this going to work?
(Remember, they are all strange to one another.)
It’s going to work just fine, thank you very much!
The things we learn from our animal friends.
If only all of mankind could learn such valuable lessons as this.
Lessons of instant friendship. Of peace and harmony by way of
respect for one another, no matter one’s color or creed.
These animals tell you; ‘It’s just good to be alive and with others.’
Yes, it surely is. ‘Life’s a Gift…..Unwrap It!’

Following story……….WOW!
SIX BOYS AND 13 HANDSEach year I am hired to go to Washington, D.C. with the eighth grade class from Clinton, Wisconsin where I grew up, to videotape their trip. I greatly enjoy visiting our nation’s capitol, and each year I take some special memories back with me. This fall’s trip was especially memorable. On the last night of our trip, we stopped at the Iwo Jima memorial. This memorial is the largest bronze statue in the world and depicts one of the most famous photographs in history — that of the six brave soldiers raising the American flag at the top of a rocky hill on the island of Iwo Jima, Japan, during WW II.
Over one hundred students and chaperones piled off the buses and headed towards the memorial. I noticed a solitary figure at the base of the statue, and as I got closer he asked, ‘Where are you guys from?’
I told him that we were from Wisconsin . ‘Hey, I’m a cheese head, too! Come gather around, Cheese heads, and I will tell you a story.’
It was James Bradley who just happened to be in Washington, D.C. to speak at the memorial the following day. He was there that night to say good night to his dad, who had passed away. He was just about to leave when he saw the buses pull up.
I videotaped him as he spoke to us, and received his permission to share what he said from my videotape. It is one thing to tour the incredible monuments filled with history in Washington, D.C. but it is quite another to get the kind of insight we received that night.
When all had gathered around, he reverently began to speak. Here are his words that night.
“My name is James Bradley and I’m from Antigo, Wisconsin . My dad is on that statue, and I wrote a book called ‘Flags of Our Fathers’. It is the story of the six boys you see behind me.
“Six boys raised the flag. The first guy putting the pole in the ground is Harlon Block. Harlon was an all-state football player. He enlisted in the Marine Corps with all the senior members of his football team.. They were off to play another type of game. A game called ‘War.’ But it didn’t turn out to be a game. Harlon, at the age of 21, died with his intestines in his hands. I don’t say that to gross you out, I say that because there are people who stand in front of this statue and talk about the glory of war. You guys need to know that most of the boys in Iwo Jima were 17, 18, and 19 years old – and it was so hard that the ones who did make it home never even would talk to their families about it.
He pointed to the statue ‘You see this next guy? That’s Rene Gagnon fromNew Hampshire. If you took Rene’s helmet off at the moment this photo was taken and looked in the webbing of that helmet, you would find a photograph…a photograph of his girlfriend Rene put that in there for protection because he was scared. He was 18 years old. It was just boys who won the battle of Iwo Jima . Boys. Not old men.
‘The next guy here, the third guy in this tableau, was Sergeant Mike Strank. Mike is my hero. He was the hero of all these guys. They called him the ‘old man’ because he was so old. He was already 24. When Mike would motivate his boys in training camp, he didn’t say, “Let’s go kill some Japanese’ or ‘Let’s die for our country’ He knew he was talking to little boys.. Instead he would say, ‘You do what I say, and I’ll get you home to your mothers.’
‘The last guy on this side of the statue is Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian from Arizona . Ira Hayes was one of them who lived to walk off Iwo Jima . He went into the White House with my dad. President Truman told him, ‘You’re a hero’ He told reporters, ‘How can I feel like a hero when 250 of my buddies hit the island with me and only 27 of us walked off alive?’
So you take your class at school, 250 of you spending a year together having fun, doing everything together. Then all 250 of you hit the beach, but only 27 of your classmates walk off alive. That was Ira Hayes. He had images of horror in his mind. Ira Hayes carried the pain home with him and eventually died dead drunk, face down, drowned in a very shallow puddle, at the age of 32.
‘The next guy, going around the statue, is Franklin Sousley from Hilltop, Kentucky. A fun-lovin’ hillbilly boy. His best friend, who is now 70, told me, ‘Yeah, you know, we took two cows up on the porch of the Hilltop General Store. Then we strung wire across the stairs so the cows couldn’t get down. Then we fed them Epsom salts. Those cows crapped all night.’ Yes, he was a fun-lovin’ hillbilly boy. Franklin died on Iwo Jima at the age of 19. When the telegram came to tell his mother that he was dead, it went to the Hilltop General Store. A barefoot boy ran that telegram up to his mother’s farm. The neighbors could hear her scream all night and into the morning. Those neighbors lived a quarter of a mile away.
‘The next guy, as we continue to go around the statue, is my dad, John Bradley, from Antigo, Wisconsin, where I was raised. My dad lived until 1994, but he would never give interviews.
When Walter Cronkite’s producers or the New York Times would call, we were trained as little kids to say ‘No, I’m sorry, sir, my dad’s not here. He is in Canada fishing. No, there is no phone there, sir. No, we don’t know when he is coming back.’ My dad never fished or even went to Canada . Usually, he was sitting there right at the table eating his Campbell’s soup. But we had to tell the press that he was out fishing. He didn’t want to talk to the press.
‘You see, like Ira Hayes, my dad didn’t see himself as a hero. Everyone thinks these guys are heroes, ’cause they are in a photo and on a monument.
My dad knew better. He was a medic. John Bradley from Wisconsin was a combat caregiver. On Iwo Jima he probably held over 200 boys as they died. And when boys died on Iwo Jima , they writhed and screamed, without any medication or help with the pain.
‘When I was a little boy, my third grade teacher told me that my dad was a hero. When I went home and told my dad that, he looked at me and said, ‘I want you always to remember that the heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who did not come back. Did NOT come back.’
‘So that’s the story about six nice young boys. Three died on Iwo Jima , and three came back as national heroes. Overall, 7,000 boys died on Iwo Jima in the worst battle in the history of the Marine Corps. My voice is giving out, so I will end here. Thank you for your time.’
Suddenly, the monument wasn’t just a big old piece of metal with a flag sticking out of the top. It came to life before our eyes with the heartfelt words of a son who did indeed have a father who was a hero.
Maybe not a hero for the reasons most people would believe, but a hero nonetheless.
We need to remember that God created this vast and glorious world for us to live in, freely, but also at great sacrifice
Let us never forget from the Revolutionary War to the current War on Terrorism and all the wars in-between that sacrifice was made for our freedom…please pray for our troops.
Remember to pray praises for this great country of ours and also …please pray for our troops still in murderous places around the world.
STOP and thank God for being alive and being free due to someone else’s sacrifice…
REMINDER: Everyday that you can wake up free, it’s going to be a great day.
One thing I learned while on tour with my 8th grade students in D.C. that is not mentioned here is . . that if you look at the statue very closely and count the number of ‘hands’ raising the flag, there are 13.
When the man who made the statue was asked why there were 13, he simply said the 13th hand was the hand of God.
Great story – worth your time – worth every American’s time. Please pass it on.
Here’s Doctor Joe………
Is Eating Tilapia Worse than Eating Bacon?
Most folks in the know agree that eating fish is a healthy option for us. And the truth is, it really is! Fish is a low fat, high protein food that has a range of health benefits. But, given what we know of fish and its sources today, the myth that all fish is healthy needs to be busted.
Fish may not always be good for you. Fish can either be incredibly healthy or detrimental to our health, depending on where it’s sourced. There’s a world of difference between fish caught in the wild, and farm bred or farm-raised fish.
The most common types of farm-raised fish are
– Catfish
– Carp
– Cod
– Salmon
– Sea bass
– Tilapia
Why is Farm Raised Fish So Bad for You?
1. Can Cause Inflammation
Farm raised Tilapia has always been a popular source for fish, not only because it’s widely available in the US, but it’s also very inexpensive. It’s known in the food business as “aquatic chicken” because it breeds easily and tastes bland. Tilapia is the perfect factory fish; it happily eats pellets made largely of corn and soy and gains weight rapidly, easily converting a diet that resembles cheap chicken feed into low-cost seafood. Recent studies have concluded that eating Tilapia may worsen inflammation which can lead to heart disease, arthritis, asthma and a world of other serious health problems.
People who have started eating more fish as a way to get their dose of omega-3-fatty-acids and lessen their risk of heart attacks should avoid Tilapia. In fact, scientists have found that the inflammatory potential of Tilapia is greater than that of a hamburger or pork bacon!
2. Contains Cancer Causing Pollutants
Farm bred fish may have at least 10 times the cancer causing pollutants compared to the wild variety. This can most likely be attributed to the feeds used on farm-raised fish. Chicken feces is one of the main ingredients in farm fish feed. Not only that, the transfer of pig and duck waste to fish farms is also a very common practice.
3. Contains Antibiotics and Pesticides
Where do farm bred fish get their antibiotics? The crowded conditions of fish farms cause the fish to be more susceptible to disease. To keep them alive, farm owners give antibiotics to the fish to stave off disease. Farm bred fish are also treated with pesticides to combat sea lice. The pesticides used to treat these fish are so deadly that they have been found to kill wild salmon that are accidentally exposed to them. These pesticides are also eventually released in the ocean where they get into the bodies and systems of other marine life.
4. Low Levels of Nutrients
Many of us consume fish, hoping to reap the omega-3 fatty acid benefits that come with it. But, the omega-3-acids found in farm raised fish are less usable to our bodies compared to wild bred fish, and they also have lower protein content. Not only that, because farm raised fish are kept in cages, they have the tendency to contain more fat, and can have a higher concentration of omega-6 acids. The problem with getting too much omega 3 and omega 6 acids is that they may cause inflammation to the body
5. Contains Toxic Chemicals
Dibutylin levels (toxic chemical used in PVC plastics) is said to be 6 times higher in farm raised mussels compared to wild ones. Dibutylin is toxic and can impair immune system function while also contributing to inflammation. Dibutylin may be the reason why we’ve seen a rise in asthma, obesity, allergies and other metabolic disorders in the recent years.
6. Contains Even MORE Toxic Chemicals
Dioxin levels (toxic chemical) are 11 times higher in farm bred salmon compared to wild salmon. Dioxin is actually a very toxic chemical that can contribute to cancer and other complications. The problem with dioxin is that once it enters our system, it can take a very long time until it is let out. The half-life of dioxin is about 7 to 11 years.
Check out Vital Choice http://www.vitalchoice.com/shop/pc/home.asp where you can purchase wild caught salmon is loaded with Omega-3 fats, EPA and DHA, and has incredible health benefits. Plus, Salmon contains astaxanthin (A metabolic building block) which has been shown to be 6,000 times more powerful than Vitamin D at absorbing free radicals.
Where to Get Wild Caught Fish
1. Local Health Food Stores, Whole Foods. Be careful though, because “wild caught” can be a loosely used term, so ask. Kroger and Publix are starting to carry more organic and wild caught items.
2. Online. You’ll know exactly where the fish is sourced from plus it shows up at your door. I encourage you to order wild caught fish online. Vital Choice is your best way to go for wild caught Salmon and other fish.
