As I posted yesterday this quote from Pastor Dennis Dunn in his book, “God’s Got This” really paints the picture of much of the Church today……..
People today seem to believe that God should be reduced to their level of standard and understanding. But God says in Isaiah 55:8, “My thoughts are neither your thoughts nor my ways your ways.” AMEN!
Don’t put God in a Box…….Don’t redefine His Word. Oh discover the God of the Bible, with a personal relationship.
I am also going to re-post yesterdays scripture……….
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIVThe Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
That scripture was certainly with me last night………..I was asked to do something I had done in a long time……..
PRAISE GOD! I know I have told this story before but I have to tell it again because it is one of God’s miracles in my life. When I was 4 years of age Doctor Meridith told me and my Mom and Dad that I probably would not walk and run like the other kids..Will never forget the 6 foot 9 Doctor leaning down looking me in the eyes telling me that. I wore a brace on my leg for a year and a half..full length brace……..and at age 56 I pitched a complete game 1 run victory last night as my teammates played excellent defense behind me and we had a great time! My teammates jumped on me after the win last night! I love my teammates from Heights Christian. We had a ball! The Lord has done many miracles in my life. I had pneumonia 9 times as a kid. The Lord healed my body, He has made my body to Finnish the race strong for Him. The softball field is a beautiful place to witness. Pastor Mark Scales and the other leaders of the Heights Christian Church have the softball team for the guys and families to fellowship together and to bring on some guys that need companionship, like myself, and to witness to many on how Christian can have fun too!!!! A a great, great work of God!
When I got home Sharon had made my favorite Tuna salad, a recipe from my Mom!!!! That topped off a great night! I have to say I have the greatest wife in the World, a gift from God!!! The kids are the same way, Gretchen was posting on facebook after last nights game! Buffy and Reno greeted me at the door!!!! I know it sounds like the life of Andy Griffith in Mayberry!!!! LOL LOL! But I would not trade it for anything! This is my testimony to the World!!!!
Yesterday I was able to have lunch with one of my Mentor’s Pastor Barry Dickens. Barry was the Pastor who married Sharon and I and I had not seen Barry in years as he has been the Supt. for the Methodist Church and headquartered in Clovis, NM. He has now retired and living in Albuquerque. The times Sharon and I spent with Barry when he was Pastor of the Methodist Church in Los Alamos, NM were some of the best days of our lives. Barry has taught me much about our God. Our conversation went pretty DEEP yesterday….love those conversations that go WAY BELOW the surface!!! Preach the Word, Dewey, people are hungry for it………….there are many people out in the World who act like Christians, but don’t have the relationship with Jesus. Too much hate in the Church. Let your life be Christ like so that people are attracted to our Lord. It is such a blessing to have people like Barry Dickens in my life, people you can just talk to with ease and go into DEEP, DEEP conversations in our LORD! Not enough of that going on with Pastor’s and folks, too much just on the surface talking. It is just a great gift in our LORD to be able to put everything on the table and have a GODLY conversation. AMEN!
As you can see from this CUP and most others, Sharon and I are so blessed to have so many Godly people in our lives, Godly Mentor’s. People of all denominations…..we are non-denominational just like the Radio Ranch and Cup.We welcome all Bible believing folks!
Build relationships with Men and Women of God, Oh yes….they help you grow closer to God…look for Men and Women who have bared much fruit in their lives……like Pastor Larry Moss who has planted thousands of fruit trees here in New Mexico that to this day are bearing much fruit!!! ….don’t look to those who have beared no fruit. Who are you seeking counsel with? I sought Larry’s counsel on a matter last week. Even thou Larry has moved to Kentucky I still maintain our relationship.
If you hang around with people who are and have beared much fruit, you will do the same, it rubs off on you!
a. As disciples of Jesus, we are to Him as branches are to the vine b. Bearing fruit is our primary responsibility as branches c. In the very act of bearing fruit, we experience the "abundant life" that Jesus offers: 1) "Joy" for those who win souls to Christ 2) "Happiness" for those who share with the less fortunate 3) "Assurance" for those developing Christ-like qualities 4) "Peace" for those offering the fruit of prayer and praise
How are you coming in reading into Proverbs? Are you going DEEP?
I am in Proverbs 7, How about you?
My Son, keep my words; lay up within you my commandments for use when needed and treasure them. Keep my commandments and live (OH WHAT A LIFE TO BE HAD!!!) and keep my law and teaching as the apple of you eye. verses 1 and 2………AMEN PTL!!!
This morning I am praying over the CUP as usual, this morning I am FEELING a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit…..I sense more are praying and beginning to fast for Satan strongholds to be destroyed. Last night on NM News and Views I asked Pastor Paul Holt about yesterdays posting on Fasting and what Bible.com said about Satan which to repeat was this: Fasting is to make Satan turn lose what he is holding! Pastor Paul said AMEN! Fasting is not to get what we want…it to is seek the face of the Lord, less of us more of Him. I sense so many of you drinking this CUP are yearning for a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. I invite you to Pray and fast for your family and the Church and the United States of America at this time.
We are praying for you…..as you seek the face of our LORD and your relationship begins to be much stronger in our Lord as you come to a new understanding of prayer and fasting through God’s Word.

however sincere our intentions – from that which is purely flesh.

us in a realm more easily prone to the attack of the enemy. It was when Jesus
