Dear Family of Jesus,
How are you this day?
Thanks for stopping by for a CUP!
The Lord gave Wannel Pate these word’s for the Ministry the Lord has given us………..
For God’s Glory Alone…Meeting each need one at a time.
Soon, We will have our new web site up www.fgga.com, please pray for us. We will have video of our TV program on this site.
We covet your prayers.
Please pray for Pastor Ray Franks sister-in-law, Jeanette. She is in critical condition because of cancer.
Pastor Brenton Franks posted these on his facebook, and WOW! impactful……….
Everything rises and falls on leadership. Are you leading your own life? Are you doing what it takes to make today where Jesus Christ is exalted in you? Lead yourself. You are responsible for you.
Matthew 6:33 “but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
If you like where you are today or dislike where you are today, remember that what is happening today grew out of the choices you made yesterday. Your choices will determine your destiny.
AMEN! Great Words Pastor Brenton!
Yesterday the Christian Community made a Choice…………
It was a day of great encouragement for all of us!
What a turn out of support for Chic-Fil-A!!! and the stance for Traditional Marriage!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My phone started to ring of the hook before noon of KKIM listeners so enthused with the show of support! Pastor Paul Holt called me and it was just like he had seen Heaven!
Paul stated on the radio that it encouraged him………knowing many, many stood with us and that we are not as alone as we might think.
Protestors of the event in Albuquerque were quoted in the Albuquerque Journal saying they were surprised by the huge turn out.
I opened up the phone lines at 3:30 and took calls from listeners, they were encouraged by tangibly seeing others support what they believe.
Marty Autry of FamilyLife Weekend To Remember Marriage Conferences sent me a text last night saying, “The line at Chic-Fil-A, WOW! What a statement for traditional marriage, I had to text blast this to my Top 10 supporters of Christian Marriage!”
Thanks Marty it is a Godly honor to be considered a top supporter of Christian Marriage! For God’s Glory Alone! That can be put on my tombstone! LOL LOL!
Is this a start of an awakening of the Christian family?
I called it, maybe a start of a Revival?
It was people from all denominations standing together yesterday! That is what is needed to bring back our Country to God.
Yesterday was a good day for the Church…….all of God’s people stood together………
But….it can not end………..
Events like this keep the fires burning for our Lord……….
Revivals in Belen and Rio Rancho start tomorrow……….Call Barbara Gould of Emmanuel Ministries for information on the Rio Rancho Revival 951-956-8856 and for the Revival in Belen Pastor Richard Garcia 505-688-5310.
The Holy Spirit is moving, grab on……..and this event is coming up
THE SUMMONS IN WASHINGTON D.C.
Inspired by Psalm 50:1-6, the National Day of Prayer (NDP) Task Force along with other national prayer ministries, has called a Solemn Assembly in Washington D.C., to pray for all institutions of government in our nation’s capital. Groups will gather for worship and prayer near the steps of the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument. They will meet with congressional leaders, travel to the Pentagon, the Supreme Court, and many other key locations to PRAY. This is not an assignment for the faint of heart. You will need walking shoes and clothing suitable for being on location and ‘hitting the streets’, regardless of weather. The urgency of the moment, and the prompting of God, has paved the way for this event. We invite you to join with us, and hundreds of like-minded believers this October 3-7, as we pray for our nation.
Please visit www.Summons2012.com to learn more.
WOW! I was googling the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo where I will be Preaching this Sunday. In my google search, up came the Daily Cup from August 2010!!!! WOW! It was our first visit to the Lighthouse when Don Piper author of 90 minutes in Heaven was the guest speaker!
Here’s a portion of the CUP from that first visit to the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo………..
CUP FROM CHIMAYO AND DON PIPER KKIM/DDC!
Posted on August 9, 2010
Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May the Strength, Wisdom and Peace of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever!
WOW! What a Blessing our trip to the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo was on Sunday! AMAZING! The Lord continues to send Sharon and I out into rural New Mexico to meet new friends!!
Sharon and I were so touched by yesterday….all that happened……..All for God’s Glory! I am so amazed on how God is using Sharon and I and KKIM. We are meeting such wonderful people……..really getting a feel for what is going on in the Church’s in rural New Mexico……..
Some of you may remember that weeks ago we were invited to come hear Don Piper of 90 Minutes in Heaven. Don’s true story, 90 Minutes in heaven is a New York Times Best seller. The folks at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo contacted us and we also did an interview with Don on air that we had posted for awhile at www.mykkim.com I need to see if we can post that again!
Anyhow, the folks at the Lighthouse, like Jeanell Abeyta greeted us so warmly and gave Sharon and I a tour of their new Church in Chimayo. WOW! What a Godly place…..they have done a remarkable work for God in the Chimayo community! Then Sharon and I met 27 year old Pastor Kevin Gonzales…what a man on fire for the Lord…he plays the keyboard while he preaches! He is so fired up for the Lord it is AWESOME!
We also met many KKIM FM listeners who came up and introduced themselves and let me know how much the Ministry means to them. That was very touching. We had a man and wife from Corrales who came, Yvette and Bobby were there from Albuquerque so even KKIM AM folks traveled a couple of hours to hear Don Piper. The folks told me thanks for brining us the TRUTH….thanks for your program at 4:30 each day.
You really missed out if you were not there…It most certainly was an AWESOME message by Don. I pray that you have read the book or will.
There are so many things on my mind about Don’s message that I want to make sure I am Obedient to the Lord and deliver the message HE wants me to today……..
So I will start there being OBEDIENT…..even when it does not make sense to us……As Don said yesterday…….when we are doing what God tells us to we cannot go wrong!
In the real life story of Don’s, it took Pastor Dick Onerecker to be obedient. Even after Pastor Dick was told by a Policeman that Don was dead, Dick insisted that he be allowed to do over to the mangled car and pray for Don. The officer really didn’t like the idea but relented and allowed Dick to enter the scene.
Dick said, “I felt compelled to pray. I didn’t know who the man was or whether he was a believer. I knew only that God told me I had to pray for him.”
The Police had told Dick that the man in the car was dead! But GOD told him to still pray!!!
Dick said he prayed the most passionate, fervent, emotional prayer of his life.
Then he began to sing……….
Then Don came alive after being dead for 90 minutes………….being pronounced dead….and then going to Heaven……….but Don was now alive on earth again……..
Dick sang the hymn What a Friend we have in Jesus while he was in the car with Don who was pronounced dead……..When is the last time you sang this song….or really paid attention to the words?
Dick was being obedient to God…….Dick was just doing what God told him to do……singing to a dead man…………
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you; you will find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship will be our sweet portion there.
It took a man to be obedient to God to pray and sing for the dead man in the red car………and now Don Piper is sharing his testimony all over the World……..God is using this man to bring others to the Lord.
Don did an alter call yesterday………he did one awhile back that lasted longer than the actual service……..Don is being obedient to the Lord telling his story…….God has used Don to bring many to Christ. God used Pastor Dick Onerecker in HIS plan.Dick was also obedient.
Being OBEDIENT to GOD has resulted in a tremendous Ministry, Don Piper Ministries.
Are you being OBEDIENT to GOD?
What has God asked you to do for HIM?
Do you even know what God has asked you to do for HIM?
If you do not know you need to get closer to God…you need to have a personal relationship with HIM…….so pray……..pray……..and the listen for God………
As Don said yesterday.God is still in the miracle business!
As I close this morning………the Godly emotion of Don’s message is still going through my mind big time….it had a huge impact on me and Sharon……I am praying what the Lord will have me do.
It was fun to look back on that August 2010 visit! It is also a good reminder of being careful what you write on the internet, this is from 2010……and still on the web…….Praise God for the Good News….Make sure all you do and say is for our Lord!
WOW! The memories of that first visit! Sharon and I pray that you will come to the Lighthouse this Sunday! For God’s Glory Alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 2, 2012. Your home port is always to be a place of peace and blessing. Last night my wife prepared a feast of catfish and hushpuppies, something I seldom get to eat anymore. She caught the fish in our nearby lake, waiting on catching just the right size fish. The meal was like a short trip to Heaven might be. In profusely thanking her, she replied “I did it as an act of showing my love for you!” By the look in her eyes, I realized a little of how God’s love is a generous and profound gift from God’s heart. Joking she said, “Now what are you going to do for me?” Immediately I offered a double dip of ice cream on another night. She was pleased. Let love abound!

August 2, 2012. A new day has arrived. The old is passing away. You will be amazed at what will happen. Yes, you have done your part, and I am pleased with you. Now the apex of the experience is something which My Spirit will accomplish. It takes both your godly action and My power. When both work in unison, My plan is established. From the beginning My plan has been good and produces peace and joy. It may not be evident at first. Just keep on saying and doing what you hear Me say and see Me do. Jesus did that and changed the world. You do that and your world will change.
John 12:49 (NASB) “For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.” John 5:19 (NASB) “Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.” Bev Robinson

August 2, 2012. When My word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “pray without ceasing;”. What does it mean? It means exactly what I meant it to say! Whether in the quiet place, in the pew, while driving, while bathing, in everything you do, pray! Through the process of prayer is where My will gets accomplished. Approach My throne with gladness of heart, offering up gratitude, knowing My will is perfect for you. I am causing, not most things, nor some things, but all things to work together for good to those who love Me, and are called according to My purpose. My purpose is for you to pray! Saying, “thank you Lord” every time.
James 5:16 (NASB) “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NASB) “Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Kevin Robinson
Here’s a note from Ray of Mining The Truth heard weekday mornings on KKIM at 7:35………….
Hey Dewey,
I wanted to let you know that this is my second week of prophecy. It will probably last about 6 months.
I also wanted to share this thought.
Cleansing our Temple
The same way that the moneychangers distorted the purpose of the Jewish Temple in Jesus’ day, we allow our temples to be distorted and restrict the purposes of God in our lives.
John 2: 14 And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the moneychangers seated at their tables. 15 And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the moneychangers and overturned their tables; 16 and to those who were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making My Father’s house a place of business.”
Since the resurrection of Jesus, God no longer causes His Spirit to rest in a temple in Israel. He now lives on the inside of everyone who receives Jesus at salvation. In fact, Paul calls our bodies the temple of God.
1 Corinthians 3:13 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?.
The purpose of the temple was a place to meet God with our sin and receive the grace that flows from Him based on a sacrifice of innocent blood.
Hebrews 9:22 And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
The temple of Jesus’ day had deteriorated into an inappropriate use of the temple as a commercial shopping mall of animals instead of a Holy place of sacrifice. The Holy had become profane.
We also allow our temples (body and soul) to become a shopping mall of this world and the Holy becomes profane once again. We have already been bought and paid for, we are not our own to trade.
1 Corinthians 6: 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
We are saved by grace through the sacrifice of Jesus but we live abundant lives through surrendering our lives (or temples) to Him. Jesus contrasts what the demonic realm offers versus what He offers His followers.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
We don’t have to compromise with the demonic realm (the moneychangers of our souls) to live abundant lives. We don’t have to prostitute ourselves out for money, sex, drugs, popularity, and the list goes on, that the demonic realm parcels out to us if we will compromise ourselves to gain the world. These compromises leave us miserable with no integrity and no evidence of the Spirit and life of Jesus functioning within us (our temple) once the moneychangers start having their way with us.
We have to cry out to Jesus to run these moneychangers out of our temples (souls). Giving Jesus free reign in our souls, keeps the demonic realm from convincing us to compromise and trade their cheap earthly substitutes for the abundant life Jesus promises those who abandon their lives to Him. Abundant life awaits those who surrender to diligently calling on Jesus to keeping their temples cleansed.
Ray
God Bless you Ray and thanks for being such a blessing!!!!
Here’s Doctor Joe………
What do heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, stroke and cancer have in common? Scientists have linked each of these to a condition known as chronic inflammation, and they are studying how high-fat foods and excess body weight may increase the risk for fatal disorders.
Inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury and outside irritants. But when the irritants don’t let up, because of a diet of high-fat foods, too much body fat and smoking, for example, the immune system can spiral out of control and increase the risk for disease. Experts say when inflammation becomes chronic it can damage heart valves and brain cells, trigger strokes, and promote resistance to insulin, which leads to diabetes. It also is associated with the development of cancer.
Much of the research on chronic inflammation has focused on fighting it with drugs, such as cholesterol-lowering statins for heart disease. A growing body of research is revealing how abdominal fat and an unhealthy diet can lead to inflammation. Some scientists are investigating how certain components in foods might help. Dietary fiber from whole grains, for instance, may play a protective role against inflammation, a recent study found. And dairy foods may help ease inflammation in patients with a combination of risk factors.
Chronic inflammation is perhaps best understood in its relation to cardiovascular disease. The immune system’s white blood cells rush to the arteries when the blood vessels are besieged by low density lipoprotein, or LDL—the “bad” cholesterol. The cells embed themselves in the artery wall and gobble up the invading cholesterol, causing damage to the arteries that can lead to heart attack or stroke.
“You need to have inflammation when you have a wound and the immune system goes in to heal it. Yet we don’t want too much inflammation in our system causing damage to our arteries” and other harm, says Wendy Weber, a program director at the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health.
One significant discovery concerns obesity and the ways it promotes inflammation. Fat cells, particularly those in the visceral fat that settles in the belly and around organs, were long thought merely to store excess weight. Instead, fat cells act like small factories to churn out molecules known as cytokines, which set inflammation in motion, says Peter Libby, chief of the division of cardiovascular medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a professor at Harvard Medical School.
“We’ve learned that abdominal fat tissue is a hotbed of inflammation that pours out all kinds of inflammatory molecules,” Dr. Libby says. The most important step patients can take is to lose excess weight, which can reduce inflammation in a matter of weeks or months, he says.
A substance known as C-reactive protein, measured with a simple blood test, is an indicator of inflammation in the body. A report published in Archives of Internal Medicine in 2007, which analyzed results of 33 separate studies, found that losing weight can lower C-reactive protein levels. For each one kilogram, or 2.2 pounds, of weight loss, whether by dieting, exercise or surgery, the mean reduction in C-reactive protein among participants was 0.13 milligram per liter.
According to the American Heart Association, a C-reactive protein level of less than 1 mg/L indicates a low risk of cardiovascular disease, 1 to 3 mg/L indicates moderate risk, and greater than 3 mg/L equals high risk. Doctors increasingly are ordering the test for patients at moderate risk for heart disease. But, surprisingly NOT all doctors are aware of this valuable test. You’re going to have to insist that your doctor order this for you.
At a meeting in Quebec City last week on abdominal obesity and its health risks, experts in cardiology, endocrinology, nutrition and related specialties presented a wide range of new research linking obesity to inflammation-related diseases.
A number of nutritionists and physicians have developed anti-inflammatory diets. Christopher Cannon, a Harvard professor of medicine, co-wrote “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Anti-Inflammation Diet.” Dr. Cannon says his recommended diet is based on both the Mediterranean diet and a Healthy Eating Pyramid developed at Harvard University. This encourages consuming whole-grain foods, unsaturated fats such as plant oils, fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish, poultry, eggs and moderate amounts of dairy foods. It also suggests avoiding as much as possible red meat (other than grass fed beef), butter, sweets and white foods such as rice, potatoes and pasta.
Still, there is little evidence to support any specific diet to protect against inflammation, says Dr. Cannon. “If you weigh 300 pounds and eat healthy, the weight will still counter any beneficial foods you are eating,” Dr. Cannon says.
The American Heart Association recommends consuming both omega-3 fatty acids, found in cold-water fish like salmon and canola oil, and omega-6 fatty acids, found in nuts, seeds and vegetable oils such as corn oil. But investigators are still studying the roles each may play in promoting or controlling inflammation.
In one study, researchers at Vanderbilt University are focusing on whether omega-3 fatty acids reduce the risk of colorectal cancers and diminish the production of inflammatory molecules. Principal investigator Harvey Murff says many Americans consume far more omega-6 fatty acids, and one aim is to determine a healthy balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Greater dietary fiber consumption was associated with lower levels of C-reactive protein and other markers in the blood that signal inflammation, according to a new study involving nearly 600 adolescents published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism. Norman Pollock, a researcher at Georgia Health Sciences University and a co-author of the study, says one explanation may be that fiber is associated with higher levels of a protein hormone that improves insulin sensitivity, which in turn lowers levels of inflammation.
A combination of nutrients found in dairy food may also help ease inflammation in patients at risk for heart disease, stroke and diabetes. In a 40-patient study published last year in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, patients who were given 3½ servings of dairy daily over 12 weeks showed reductions in several markers of inflammation compared with a group given just half a serving of dairy per day. The first group also showed reduced blood pressure. Michael Zemel, a co-author of the study and professor emeritus at the University of Tennessee’s Department of Nutrition, says three daily servings of dairy containing whey and its nutrients could help guard against inflammation. He recommends low-fat milk or yogurt.
New research funded by the National Institutes of Health is looking at the relationship of diet, inflammation and cancer.
“Cancer is caused by many different processes and inflammation is one of them, and if you could inhibit that process it would be tremendously helpful,” says Young S. Kim, program director in the Nutritional Science Research Group at the National Cancer Institute.
Thank you Dr. Joe!
