Dear Family of Jesus,
Oh My Yes!
I am grateful for my teammates at Heights Christian!!! What a wonderful bunch of Men! We had another win last night, but the main thing is the fellowship and encouragement among the men!!! I threw a runner out at the plate as RayLin put the tag on the runner to end the game and we won the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also made a play at second that the guys said I went up 2 feet in the air to grab the ball and we pulled off a double play at second with a good throw from my buddy Ty in left field. The guys were kidding me that I would be on ESPN last night in the top 10 plays of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL LOL LOL
I Boast in this fun in the Lord for a couple of reasons, fellowship, love, and encouragement in Jesus Christ. It is such a great time in the Lord and I am grateful for Monday nights!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also get a kick out of the Lord…….at 56 I am playing ball and in my best health……..when I was 4 I wore a full leg brace and the Doc said, “Dwayne may never run and walk like the other kid’s.”
I know many of you have heard this story, but it is worth repeating as encouragement for many and how the Lord heals us and renews our strength……I never thought I would be playing ball the last 10 years!!
Grandpa Caraway used to say, “I would rather wear out than rust out!!!!” Grandpa farmed until he was 86!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning all!
Thanks for stopping by for a CUP!
Many have helped brew this CUP!!! WOW It is full of much goodness in our Lord! AMEN!
What lies is Satan telling you today?
You have the POWER to say, be gone from here Satan!
More thoughts on fasting………and Revival………….
Fasting is “surrender-rehearsal”, less about giving up food more about giving up your life. Max Lucado
I love what a lot of you said yesterday about the CUP….A LOVE letter……..Ed spoke it for many of you……..Great love letter, Dewey. Thanks. Letter coming soon. –Ed
Albert put it like this:Thank you!!! God is love.
Amen, Praise God…….We are here to offer the Love and Encouragement of Jesus Christ.
Dewey, I pray that Sharon is feeling better. What a wonderful story about your service at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. It is so wonderful seeing God use you to bless others. Keep it up.

My dear brothers, sisters, friends:
My heart is filled with thanksgiving to God for all His blessings on our “Festival of Love” in Rio Rancho. My heart is also filled with thanks to all of you who took the time to pray and to come and be with us. Your help in ministry — assisting us with the canopies, music, songs, preaching the Word, ministering healing and strength to all who were there — just every bit of help was greatly appreciated. Without you, we would not have been able to do what we did. Because of you, many were blessed, healed, comforted and experienced revival in their souls. Because of you, the precious Holy Spirit was released throughout Rio Rancho and beyond. We know that the atmosphere was changed and transformation began.
As the Holy Spirit says in Hebrews 6:10 –“For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.”
Grace and peace be multiplied to you, in Jesus’ Name.
Love and shalom,
Barbara Gould

Amen Monica!
Great message also from Rene……
Praise God for your obedience to the calling of the Holy Spirit- thanks for sharing this! My prayer this morning has been for the spirit of distraction to be cast out in Jesus name so that I might hear the Holy Spirit direction- to go to the right or to the left. Thank the Lord for your uncluttered mind and your heart to hear Him and know that voice. Because of that the Lord was able to meet the needs of many.
Blessings,
Rene
Rene, this is for you and all of us………I just opened one of my books that the Lord led me to this morning and here it is………….
Blessed are the ears that hear the pulses of the Divine whisper, and give no heed to the many whisperings of the world! Thomas a Kempis AMEN PTL.so true………
Now Rene has some very exciting news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So exciting- we have felt the power of the Holy Spirit surrounding this little baby and GOD IS AWESOME IN HIS POWER! This child has been bathed in prayer and will continue to be by our church and all of you.
Paul, my girlfriend, Sheryl, and I have all felt the power of the Holy Spirit when praying for Warrior Baby. I feel it now as I write this and the Lord is bringing tears of joy to my eyes.
Warrior Baby was beaten 3 times and the Drs said that there was only brainstem activity left. They pulled his oxygen and said he wouldn’t survive. His MRI showed a baby that would not ever be able to move. Warrior Baby breathed on his own.
We know who the Great Physician is. He is the only one who heals, and he has been miraculous in his healing. The foster mom said that when the Dr looked at the previous MRI and the baby, he remarked that the MRI was not that baby’s MRI. This MRI shows a baby that can’t move. The mom’s reply was that she reads a different book than he does! The Warrior Bay has his eyes open and tracks movements, he moves his legs and arms, cries, eats and swallows, blows bubbles, and watches his mom. He is a miracle before our eyes and we praise THE ONE TRUE GOD!!! Thank you Jesus for your healing power.
Please continue to pray for Warrior Baby- he has had a retinal hemorrhage which has caused “permanent blindness” in one eye. We know who can restore that! Pray that He will be a testimony throughout his life for Jesus’ awesome and miraculous healing power.
Rev 12:10 says we triumph over the evil one by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!! Share this testimony of God’s awesomeness, goodness and power. He alone is sovereign.
Rev 12:10-11a Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;
Thank you Jesus!

WE HAVE MORE EXCITING NEWS CHURCH!!!! months ago I visited Dena the Mother of KKIM’s Mistie Miles. Dena was full of cancer…brain, lungs, in her back……THE FAMILY HAD ME COME AND PRAY OVER HER AND ANOINT HER WITH OIL……..OH MY THAT DAY THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVED I COULD FEEL THE WIND!!! Dena received a check up yesterday……… no more chemo!!!! Cancer 99.9 percent gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One little spot left in one of her lungs where the cancer began that they will zap with radiation. Her Chemo chair was reserved yesterday……but no need, thank YOU JESUS!
Dena is special to me, the same name as my Grandma Moede! Plus she is the Mother of Mistie. That day the Holy Spirit shook my car on the way over as I prayed to go pray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friends…….when I opened my devotional book on the Holy Spirit today from Charles Stanley…the book opened to this page……….
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind
To set at liberty who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luke 4:18-19, Isaiah 61:1-2
Thank YOU LORD for the healing of Dena!!!!!!
I am just a simple man after God’s heart wanting to serve Him and His people.
This is from Pastor Bill Ruhl…………
After reading the Cup I thought, well that’s why the Lord has always had me “shoot from the hip” when I bring His message. A long time back the Lord prompted me to “study to show myself approved, but approved of Him, not man’s flattery, and to then allow Holy Spirit to bring whatever message He desired through me. We become the “dia” or pathway for Him to deliver His revelation to the hearer. So much more satisfying when you learn to “leave” your sermon on the pew and step away from the pulpit into the midst of the people. It was Jesus’s favorite style…Only what He saw and heard from the Father. You’re description of the service sounds like our gatherings every Sunday. That’s my word for you. Press in … He loves that posture in His servants. Blessings, pb
This is from Steve Bradford………..
OK, here is what I believe. God inspired the Bible, I believe that everything in it is God’s message to you and me. It does not tell us to do anything that will hurt us. If it says thou shall, that means to help yourself. If it says thou shall not, that means don’t do it. Things are pretty black and white for me. Some like to get as close to the line as possible and sometimes even blur the line. I…
believe that God and God alone should be worthy of our praise. When I see the government, who seems to want God out of the picture, try to take the credit for anyone’s success, I believe it’s wrong. That goes for any party. We seem to grow further away from our founding fathers vision each hour. They had the wisdom to build this country on the word of God. Our president doesn’t want anything to do with God by his own admission. You cannot embrace killing babies and embracing Gay as a lifestyle and honor God according to His word. The democratic party has made a big mistake by doing this. So, here’s why I believe and do the thing I do, To honor God with my life. We all have the freedom to choose whatever kind of life we want to live, God gives us that choice. You must make your own decisions and I must make mine, but please use God’s word to help guide you. For those who do not care about pleasing God, they will do whatever they want good or bad. They have the right to do so, but I want to do what is best for my God and my country.
Sandi B sent this Funny Bone in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WARNING TO US ALL!!!
Don’t wash your hair in the shower!
It’s so good to finally get a health warning that is useful!!!
INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER
WITH IT!!!!
Shampoo Warning! I don’t know WHY I didn’t figure this out sooner! I use
shampoo in the shower! When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole
body, and Printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning,
“FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME.”
No wonder I have been gaining weight! Well! I have gotten rid of that
shampoo and I am going to start showering with Dawn dish soap instead.
Its label reads,
“DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE.”
Problem solved!
If I don’t answer the phone I’ll be in the shower!

August 7, 2012. Brick by brick and stone by stone most homes and buildings are constructed. Put your structure on a firm and unmovable foundation and it will withstand winds and even some fire. I say unto you, “Rock upon rock. That is the way I want you to build your spiritual and temporal life.” Once you have found the Rock, start your construction piece by piece. The words from My Scripture are the essence of whom and what Jesus is and shall ever be. Be ready to give a quick and ready answer to those who question what you believe and how your house is built. Let them see that your whole life and being are built and secured upon the Rock of Ages.
Matthew 7:24-25 (MSG) “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit-but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.” Ras Robinson

August 7, 2012. Everything is converging. It is very important that you not let your mind wander off the variety of events happening with all the paths coming together. You don’t want to drop the ball which has been passed directly to you. This started way before you became conscious of what is happening. It was established before the beginning of time. You wonder how that can be? You will discover the many blessings of walking according to My ways. Keep your mind and emotions focused on what is now happening. Don’t get ahead or lag behind. You will learn a great lesson of the advantages of following Me according to My timing.
Psalms 119:10-12 (NASB) “With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord; Teach me Your statutes.” Bev Robinson

August 7, 2012.Embrace each day as fresh and new. Though you may be experiencing heartache that will not end, receive My joy! When it seems like you are taking two steps forward and three steps back in whatever direction you choose, receive My joy! Acknowledge Me at every junction in your life. No matter what your circumstances may be right now or have been, receive My joy! Live in the present, in the here and now. Your spiritual forefathers chose not to live in the past, neither should you. Let the water of My word wash over you every day. Greet each day I’ve provided with newness of heart and mind.
Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” Lamentations 3:22-24 (NKJV) “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” Kevin Robinson

Ways to Prevent a STOKE
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, stroke is the number one cause of serious, long-term disability in the United States. Over the course of a lifetime, stroke affects an estimated four out of five families. Although these statistics sound dire, take heart: With these strategies, you can help your parents reduce their risk — and reduce your own at the same time.
High blood pressure means a high risk of stroke. If one of your parents has been diagnosed with prehypertension (120/80 to 139/89) or hypertension (140/90 mm Hg or higher), his blood pressure should be treated. The doctor will prescribe the appropriate medications, but your parent’s blood pressure needs regular monitoring. Although it can be a bit tricky to use, an inexpensive manual cuff (starting at about $12 at your local drugstore) is a great way to monitor blood pressure at home. But if you can’t get the hang of using it, you may want to consider investing in a blood pressure machine, which is a bit more expensive (between $70 and $150); it’s also available at your local drugstore.
Manage stress and depression.
A parent’s emotional and psychological state can have a very real effect on his physical health. Minimizing stress, anger, and depression is an important aspect of maintaining good cardiovascular health and avoiding a stroke. If your parent lives by himself, he may feel disconnected and alone.
Even if your parents still have each other, sitting around the house can lead to boredom and unhappiness. Help your parents get out, make new friends, or simply engage in stimulating activities. Their local church or community center is an excellent place to connect with other seniors.
Perhaps your parent is already a social butterfly but still seems to be having difficulty with his mood. Encourage him to try these stress-busting strategies:
-Cut back on caffeinated beverages and alcohol.
-Try meditation.
-Play relaxing music.
-Go for a walk outdoors.
If you’ve tried everything and still feel concerned about your parent’s mood, talk to his doctor. Depression is a serious but treatable illness.
Reduce the risk of blood clots.
Ask your parents’ doctor about medications that can reduce their risk of developing blood clots. The most commonly recommended medication is aspirin, which is inexpensive and can be taken at a low dose (81 milligrams is the usual recommended dose). If your parents have other medical issues, the doctor may prescribe a more potent drug.
Control other medical conditions.
If your parents have atrial fibrillation (an abnormal rhythm involving the upper two chambers of the heart), diabetes, heart valve disease, or vascular disease, they have a much greater risk of stroke. These medical conditions require careful management. Make sure their doctor knows about any such conditions and is treating them appropriately.
Talk to the doctor about medications that might increase your risk.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT), rosiglitazone (for diabetes), and COX-2 inhibitors (for controlling arthritis pain) are all examples of medications that may increase the risk of stroke. Review medications with their doctor and ask if there are less risky alternatives.
According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, one out of three people who have a transient ischemic attack (TIA) will suffer an acute stroke. Signs of a TIA, or ministroke, include:
– Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg – especially on one side of the body
– Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
– Sudden trouble seeing out of one or both eyes
– Sudden difficulty walking, loss of balance or coordination, dizziness
Keep “bad” cholesterol levels low.
One of the major risk factors for stroke is a high bloodstream level of LDL, or “bad” cholesterol. Ideally, your parent’s total cholesterol should be no more than 200 mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter) and no more than five times the level of HDL or “good” cholesterol; his LDL levels should be below 70 mg/dL. Make sure his cholesterol levels are checked regularly and treated if necessary. Following a low-fat diet and exercising regularly may help, but it might not be enough. If his cholesterol levels don’t respond to lifestyle changes, his doctor may prescribe medication.
Follow a heart-healthy diet.
The best diet for preventing stroke is the one recommended by the American Heart Association. Choose a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, lean meats, and low-fat or fat-free dairy products. Your parent should limit intake of fat (total fat between 25 and 35% of daily calories, saturated fat less than 7%, and trans fat less than 1%), cholesterol (less than 200 milligrams per day if LDL levels are high, less than 300 milligrams per day if they aren’t), and sodium (less than 1,500 milligrams per day for high blood pressure, less than 2,300 milligrams per day otherwise). Your mother should consume no more than one alcoholic beverage per day, your father no more than two. And they should each eat 25 to 30 grams of dietary fiber every day.
Encourage regular exercise.
Exercise is essential for general cardiovascular health and is key to preventing a stroke. But how much exercise is enough? The Centers for Disease Control and the American Heart Association recommend accumulating at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity at least five days a week on most days. This doesn’t mean your parents need to do half an hour of aerobics five days a week; instead, you can encourage short bursts of activity throughout the day. Just parking farther away from the store and walking the extra distance, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator, can quickly add up. But before your parents begin any exercise program, they should talk to their doctor about any restrictions they might have.
Help them stop smoking.
Smoking is one of the biggest risk factors for stroke. If your parents or anyone who lives in their home smokes, quitting is essential to good health. Just living with a smoker increases the risk of stroke by almost 30%. But recognize that stopping smoking isn’t easy.
Here are a few ways you can help:
– Ask your parents what they think would make it easier for them. They may have suggestions you haven’t thought of.
– Encourage them to talk about their feelings and what they’re going through. Smoking may be a comforting lifelong habit; let them mourn a little.
– You may be tempted to nag or yell if they slip up, but it’s more effective to remind them that you love them no matter what. Be positive and encouraging — and vent your frustration to a friend instead.
– Help them avoid situations that trigger the desire for a smoke. If they’re used to enjoying a cigarette after meals, try going for a short walk outside instead.
– Be understanding as they go through withdrawal symptoms. Try not to take it personally if they’re especially irritable, short-tempered, and tired.
– Quit smoking yourself. If you must smoke, don’t smoke around your parents. Not only will it make quitting more difficult for them, but the secondhand smoke will increase their risk of heart attack.
– If your parents find it too difficult to quit on their own, talk to their doctor. Nicotine replacement therapy, support groups, and counseling may all be helpful.
