From Karen Rowe’s Posting today in the cup………..
“having a humble and submissive heart is a choice we make. That means as born-again believers we daily make a choice to submit ourselves to God for the work that the Holy Spirit does in us to “conform us to the image of Christ.” God will use the situations of our lives to bring us the opportunity to submit to Him…..
God does not require us to submit because He is a tyrant, but because He is a loving Father and He knows what is best for us. The blessings and peace that we gain from humbly surrendering and submitting ourselves to Him daily are a gift of grace that nothing in this world can compare to.”
God Bless you Karen, the entire posting is in Today’s CUP!
You can say that Sharon and I have submitted to God in the new venture He has put us on.
After nearly 7 years as Pastor over KKIM we now go forth to the Ministry founded by God, “For God’s Glory Alone Ministries” www.fggam.org ;
Please go to our new web site so you can find out what the Lord has us doing. Please pray for us.
It has been such a blessing to be with KKIM and American General Media. It has been like I have been in seminary for 7 years, learning from the best all these years. When you hear Billy Graham, Dr. Charles Stanley……and all the KKIM programs everyday for nearly 7 years you can’t help but have it impact your life. When you add all the local Pastor’s and all the hundred’s of people I have interviewed on my program…..well it’s been an amazing journey at KKIM. It has been quite an education in our Lord. People tell me I have been a blessing, but you know what? I have been the one that has been blessed.
This period of time will go down as my best ever in my 35 years in radio!
This radio station that was started by Mr and Mrs Frank Donald Hall back in 1972 will continue to be a light for Jesus Christ.
My thanks to American General Media for letting me Pastor over this Ministry. Thanks to all of you for your support and love!
It is interesting the comments I am getting, it seems this move to full-time Ministry does not surprise anyone!
God has spent the last, almost 7 years raising me UP!
The scripture that God led me today through our Friends at Fullnessonline is, 1 Timothy 4:15……..Practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them (as your Ministry), so that your progress may be evident to everybody.
AMEN!
Do you have a Amplified Bible? I love mine and I believe you would love it also. I got mine from Kevin at Bibles Plus! It really has helped me.
Before I hand this CUP off to Karen Rowe, let me share this message from Dr. Charles Stanley that fit’s right in with today’s message here at the CUP! PRAISE GOD!!! As HE put’s the CUP together each day, it is not of me, but of God!
Read | Genesis 22:4-18
Abraham began walking with the Lord many years before he was asked to offer Isaac on the altar. His first step had been to leave his home and relatives and go to a land God pledged to show him. But now he was being told to give up the person he cherished most. Isaac was the son of promise–the one through whom God would bring forth a great nation and bless the entire world. This was the biggest challenge Abraham had ever faced, yet he obeyed.
The Lord never allows us to rest on a spiritual plateau. That’s why He at times tests our commitment. These stretching opportunities are an expression of His love because He knows that standing still is not what’s best for us. The testing is designed to help us grow in faith, obedience, and spiritual maturity while increasing our dedication. That is the way we become valuable servants in His kingdom.
Abraham’s obedience to this crucial test was determined by his understanding of God. He believed that the Lord would keep His promise to give him descendants through Isaac, even if it required raising the boy from the dead (Heb. 11:17-19). That’s why Abraham confidently declared to his servants, “We will worship and return to you” (Gen. 22:5, emphasis added). He knew the Lord was faithful.
If you’re going through a time of testing, God is seeking to raise your commitment to a new level. He wants to prove to you that He’s faithful to His promises and will greatly bless you for your obedience. The stretching may be painful, but He will wrap you in His love and carry you to victory.
Okay folks, now I hand the CUP over to Karen Rowe………
Is submit a word of weakness or of POwer? … The answer is a matter of confidence in of “being strong” or in strength:
POwer … “we r” to Submit to God and HIS grace is our POwer !
Submit… means UNDER & TO ARRANGE: “This word is a wonderful definition of what it means to “submit” to God. It means to arrange oneself under the command of divine viewpoint rather than to live according to one’s old way of life based on a human viewpoint. It is a process surrendering our own will to that of our Father’s.”
Today’s world has misused the word submit by trampling the word TRUST.
***This in NO WAY says to submit and continue in a harmful abusive relationship…*** Please seek help and guidance if this is the case <3
I submit (present an option) to you Today that We can trust God and that God will never ask us to do anything that is bad for us or that would humiliate us…and if we must go through a difficult time or endure harm because of our faith, God’s word of submit did not cause that … the opposition to good did.
God asks us to love, live, experience peace and joy in all things and promises to be faithful and true to us always. We can trust God’s thoughts & trust that HE knows what He is doing, even when we can’t see the results yet …. That’s faith! Faith submits to God because we trust that He loves us; and the reward is great God’s way.
I hope this is a blessing to you, because I submit to God 1st (always I strive) and I submit to my husband because I submit to God first, but that just means that I respect my husband and trust that he also submits his will to God’s and the benefit is a happy marriage of 25 years Lord willing Oct 22! <3
Of course a husband has their job to love and cherish their wife…but that word “submit” is on my heart Today, because it is a POwerFUL word that has been twisted and misused by the opposition to God with an evil purpose to gain control over our blessed life that Christ died to give us! Living a godly way is good and good for us…
<3 As a wife, we don’t submit to just a mere man, we submit to God first and foremost trusting that God’s way is good! We also are instructed by God to submit trusting God by also submitting [as a helper in a team “marriage” built on trust in love] to our husband whom God has chosen for us because our husband is also trusting God.
This doesn’t mean that our husband is always right, but as a wife, if we do what is right, then God will make it RIGHT … because our husband is listening to God. There is more & my husband and I have real life miracle testimonies about this, but just to conclude, God’s Way works!
***and again, This in NO WAY says to submit and continue in a harmful abusive relationship…Please seek godly help and guidance if that is the case***

“A Personal Word from Ras Robinson” live broadcast at 5:55 AM Friday, September 14. Listen to message by Pastor Jonas Bohlin on “Repentance, Prayer and Fasting.” See below for details.
September 5, 2012. Children are some of the best teachers in our lives. They see the simplicity of life and avoid the complex like a plague. If they get hurt they heal quickly. Because they trust those they love, they can be abused in very damaging ways. With proper protection, children can be the happiest of God’s creatures. Children can easily see almost everyone nearby as a neighbor. Do you remember “Mr. Rogers Neighborhood,” a very popular children’s TV show for many years? He started off each show with the question, “Would you be my neighbor?” Most kids answered “Yes.” Who do you know near and far? They are your neighbors. God loves us all the same, including YOU! Matthew 5:43-45 (NLT) “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” Ras Robinson Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” September 5, 2012. New Age and some Eastern religions where meditation is practiced have seized the day because much of the organized church has dismissed the supernatural. Consider that Christianity is rooted in the Middle East. Hebrew words for meditation appear several times in the Old Testament, and Greek words two times in the New Testament. Once by Jesus (Luke 21:14) and another by Paul (1Timothy 4:15.) “Take time to meditate. Absorb your mind and being in Me, My ways and My Scripture. You will see insights in ways you have not yet seen. You will find wisdom and answers to questions you have not even thought of. Spend time with Me. 1 Timothy 4:15 (NKJV) “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. September 5, 2012. Three words “I love you” have such a dynamic, life changing effect upon people that their outlook on life changes dramatically. Those three simple words affect the atmosphere like nothing else. Everyone wants to be loved and accepted for who they are. People will do almost anything to get someone to notice them and they yearn for acknowledgment. People wonder within themselves, “Do I really matter?” The words, “I love you,” can radically transform a heart of stone into a heart of compassion. God says, “Because you’ve received My Son’s eternal love within your heart, be a beacon of My love to a lost and hurting world. Be about loving one another. 1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV) “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
