People are sending me notes saying, “What a step in faith!” Well, it is because of what God told us to do……”Go out and Preach” When you hear from God you must move,and I think I drug me feet for 6 months or so…..dragging your feet for the Lord is not a good feeling! I told Brenda Towle last night, “If I Preach it, I must do it!” I tell folks, I am a missionary now. I had one Pastor say to me, “How are you going to support your family, I am retired and have my pension, what are you going to do?”

We have had people come along side us to support us financially, this is a huge change, but it is a change ordained by God. God will not forsake us, God paves the road ahead for us. I like to say that God foams the runway for us! God goes before us.

It is not easy, anyone that says that is not truthful. You have got to keep your eye’s on Jesus and hear from Him everyday, every minute of the day, to make sure you are on the right path.

God is calling many to step out into the World but too few are hearing Him.

I love what Pastor Steve Hickey writes……..

Remember the CUP from the other day? The scripture from Matthew 5:41…….

If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles………

A sower expects favor. He does his part in sowing, cultivating and harvesting which God blesses in a 30-, 60 or 100-fold return (read Mark 4). However, grace goes far beyond anything favor can earn. Grace is unmerited favor that allows one to reap where he has not sown. (John 4:34-38) and to receive the overflowing, superabundance of God’s grace(read 2 Cor 9)

Matthew 5:14 is not just about your lamp being lit (mile one), your lamp must be on the stand for all to see (mile two,That is what God told me to do.Go out and Preach and that is why we do the TV program on KAZQ!) —-this is what glorifies the Father in heaven. (That is what Martha Montano did with her life her on earth) Matthew 5:20 carries a related key understanding the entire Sermon on the Mount:

“unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees…..”

“Surpass” is a distance word, a grace word. It means “go further, move out beyond, exceed.” (This is precisely what the Lord told me to do MOVE OUT BEYOND REACH MY PEOPLE MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE AT!)

Jesus was teaching that the grace of heaven falls further out past the domain of the Pharisees. My sense is that many Christians are good for mile one but stop at mile two.

They stop short of their destiny and sadly miss out on the miraculous and the fullness of God’s unmerited favor.

My sense is that good people are stuck today in this place teetering between mile one and the second mile! The Sermon on the Mount was Jesus shove into the second mile!

Last night I got a message from long time friend Brenda Towle asking about the funeral service for Our beloved friend Martha Montano and Brenda was asking about my Sharon and she wrote Dewey I don’t know where you would be without her! Yep Brenda very very true I am very Blessed to have Sharon Amen thanks for those words I love friends that just speak the plain truth!!!!

As He Promised, He Will Do

This morning let me share a bit from Pastor Steve Hickey’s book, Obtainable Expectations, A Timely Exposition Of The Sermon On The Mount.

He quotes Dr. C. Peter Wagner from the Book, Religious Spirit: Understanding How Deceptive Religious Forces Try to Destroy God’s Plan and Purpose for His Church…..Wagner defines the corporate spirit of religion as “an agent of Satan assigned to prevent change and to maintain the status quo by using religious devices.”

Wagner defines “religious devices: as beliefs and activities. In The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus names the “belief” of the religious leaders of His day, and then blows a hole in it. He points out their audacious and ostentatious “religious” activities, and then dubs them fake and false (hypocritical)

His followers are escorted beyond the religious and shown how to surpass it all. They are taken beyond the law into the realm of the life of God! The narrow road is given that leads to life. AMEN! POWERFUL STUFF!!!!

There is a vast difference in the Christian life between “magnificence” and the “miraculous” Moving from the retail world to the church world(WOW! I think to much of the Church is in the RETAIL WORLD!!! AMEN!!! What do you think???)

Hickey writes (THIS IS AWESOME STUFF!!!!!)…May I suggest that many Christians are content with “magnificence”—-beautiful buildings, sacred liturgy, robes and rites, ceremonies and pious prayers, pomp, majestic music, and spectacular worship—-BUT SO FEW HUNGER FOR, OR HAVE EXPERIENCED THE MIRACULOUS. Many appear content with forms of faith but know nothing of the POWER OF FAITH! The apostle Paul commented that there were those who had an outward form of godliness but who denied or refused its power( 2 Timothy 3:5)

They relished in the magnificent, but rejected the miraculous. Yet, in reading the New Testament, I have observed that Jesus came and walked, not so much in magnificence, and not so much in grandeur and grandiose religiosity, rather Jesus epitomized simplicity and walked in the miraculous, the supernatural. By contrast, The Pharisees walked in the realm of magnificence with their forms and traditions of men. Therefore, it follows that magnificence belongs to the domain of the “Spirit of Religion,” whereas, the miraculous is the domain of the Spirit of God!

No doubt about it, magnificence will give you goose bumps (just watch a coronation). Yet, only the miraculous will…….

Set you free from past bondage’s, curses and strongholds. (Too much of the Church does not know this, it sounds weird to them, see my comments below!)

Open your eyes to see God’s invisible works for you.

Open your ears to hear God’s incredible words to you.

Restore broken relationships.

Heal your body.

Produce genuine conversion and life-change.

(From Dewey:I witnessed this in Church Sunday as the Holy Spirit came over me and the Open Door Church of God and had me breathe the Holy Spirit over two hurting folks, and they were slain in the Spirit, went right to the floor, shaking and then such peace!! I used to think this was crazy stuff! It is of God, the Holy Spirit, the POWER that is available to us)

Martha Montano a long time family friend passed away this morning. She was an angel here on earth who came to serve and to to be served, Martha loved like Jesus!

When I think of Martha, I think of Mark 10:45………

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Please keep her husband Roger and the whole family in your prayers, especially Roger, Sister Bernadette and Mom and Dad. Oh my yes……please.

Let me tell you a little story about Martha, I met her in the TV business and when I started from scratch at KKIM, she came to help me set up my office and would come in and do filing for me. She did it just because……..because of the need and love.

The strong message of Martha’s life is to serve and love like Jesus Christ! AMEN!

Wahoo I pray this is a connection to help…they were here in Bridgewater Maine and he is the founder of Miracle Word ministries. His father Ted Sr. has a tv program he was here too. I interviewed Jr for radio. Miracles miracles miracles Dewey is all I can tell u. Somehow I feel there is a connection. I mentioned u to Ted too. They both are prophetic and incredible miracles in the services. Ted Sr. asked for no money to come to Maine but after all expenses were met a love offering was taken…FAITH …Dewey you r doing the same. Hi Dewey,

Just wanted to thank you for the prayers on my behalf. They mean so much. I am certainly better than last Thursday, although I still have the palpitations and shortness of breath. But I am able to continue on with my work, just not as fast. The bottom line is that I have Congestive Heart Failure. Can live a long time with that if I adjust myself to the idea of decreasing work and increasing rest. I will see my longtime cardiologist on Oct 2 and we will devise a plan of action to make me a healthier person
It is very exciting to read about all that is going on with FGGA ministry. I feel very proud of you and all you have and are doing.

The Power of the Holy Spirit in our lives………..When we are filled with the Holy Spirit God talks to us Directly.The Holy Spirit, the Messenger is with us….I shared this story long ago…..but as we have been Studying, Preaching, and Sharing on the Holy Spirit, I wanted to share this miracle once again with you for God’s Glory Alone!

My name is Dwight A. Brown, I have been in the insurance business for 52 years, on July 11, 2011 I visited the KKIM radio station to add a new employee to their insurance program. While there the station manager (Dewey Moede) asked me to help him with a claim. After doing the paper work I told Dewey that I was real excited because I had my wife Bea with me and that we were going to go up to Navajo Lake for a few days of fishing. As I was leaving Dewey asked me if he could say a prayer with me, I responded Yes, please do. After the prayer Dewey exclaimed, Dwight, You can't go fishing today, you have to go to the Hospital today, I replied "Dewey there is nothing wrong with me, why do I have to go to the hospital?He said "I don't know why but you have to go TODAY." Dewey was so adamant that I finally agreed to go to the Hospital. I told my wife what Dewey said and she replied "You don't look like any thing is wrong, what are you going to do?" I replied I guess we had better go to the hospital. We went to the Anna Kaseman ER, I walked in and the ER was full of people ahead of me, I thought WOW I will be here all day, I walked up to the lady and told her I needed to get checked, she said what is wrong with you, I replied "Its a chest thing" she asked "have you had any chest pains? The light bulb went on, that would get me in and I could get checked right away and then go fishing. I replied "not now but I did earlier" She took me in right away, the Doctor did an EKG and told me that they found a problem and that I would have to have a stress test, I replied that I would have it done in Colorado after my fishing trip, he said we can't wait that long, he worked me in the next day to have it done at Presbyterian Hospital. The stress test showed that my heart was beating 3 times then flat lined all across the page, The Doctor said it was like my heart was beating 3 times then going to sleep. She put a heart monitor on me and told me to keep it over night then return it the next day, that night I received a call from my daughter, she told me that Dr. Sho wanted me to call her that night no matter how late it was, I called Dr. Sho and she told me to forget the heart monitor, she wanted me to go to the hospital the next morning and report to Dr. Beck. The next morning Dr. Beck took me into the operating room and went in to my heart and found two blockages and He said we can't fix it, He said he had to put in a pace maker right away. I could not believe it, I felt fine. After the surgery the Doctor told me to stay in the hospital overnight and he would see me the next morning. The next morning Dr. Beck came in to my room and said "Boy you are really lucky that this happened while you were in Albuquerque," I replied "what do you mean that I was lucky?" He said "Well if you hadn't come in when you did I don't think you would be alive today." I said well let me tell you why I came in", after I told him about Dewey's prayer he said "WOW God must have a special plan for you. Dewey's special connection to GOD saved my life, I will always be grateful. GOD Bless

Heart attack is a major killer of all Americans, no matter what their race or gender. Also, although most first heart attacks occur in people over the age of 65, those who are younger are 80 percent more likely to die after they suffer one. Chest pain is the classic heart attack symptom and most people view it as the No. 1 sign of a coronary. However, there are other more hidden symptoms that can reveal if you are having a heart attack, and knowing them could save your life, says top cardiologist Chauncey Crandall, M.D., “The classic sign of the type of heart attack everyone thinks of — the ‘Hollywood heart attack’ – is chest pain. Heart attack is a true medical emergency, and there are signs and symptoms you need to know so you can get help fast for yourself or others.
