Good Morning KKIM Family,
I will be with you. Exodus 3:12
Christ provides the POWER to us in our weakness.
How are you doing today?
I thank you all for your prayers and support………..please keep us in your prayers that we always do the Lord’s will and not ours!
Please go to www.deweysdailycup.com and look at the wonderful pictures posted there!
I am so thankful to the Lord for the family that continues to grow here at KKIM and DDC.
We have family all over this great land. The inter net has made that possible……….I have folks who listen to KKIM all over the world now because of our streaming audio. PRAISE GOD!! www.mykkim.com
Make sure and check out the KKIM web site as we have many events coming up that you will not want to miss.
I had such a nice talk on the phone last night with my sister Deb of Reading, Minnesota. Reading is located in the southwest corner of Minnesota. They are busy doing life and have had it looks like the harvest of corn and soybeans will be good this year. Deb messed up her knee playing softball this summer and may need knee replacement. She is just 47! Please keep her in your prayers. We both love to play softball! She is a wonderful sister who is my link to my parents. I miss her and do not talk to her enough. We talked about how time flies and how the kids are all getting out on their own in the world.
Jannetta La Mort our web master was in for a visit yesterday with her two children who are visiting. What a wonderful visit we had. Jannetta is a wonderful Mother and her two kids are sweeties!
I am so thankful for people like Jannetta who help this Ministry so much! Without the help of my wife Sharon I would not be able to keep up with the works of this Ministry. Sharon has been taking on more here at the DDC to keep us going. I PRAISE GOD for the growth of KKIM and DDC…….we just want to serve HIM and HIS will.
I went to visit Michael Ramos yesterday who we have been praying for. Michael is under a lot of pain with his bad knee and hip. Please keep him in your prayers.
I met a wonderful listener of KKIM yesterday, Rodney Wheeler owner of MasterWorks in Albuquerque. Rodney is going to be a Ministry sponsor. We had a nice visit at KKIM.
Got another email from a KKIM listener in Edgewood, NM………George wants to stop by for a visit……….just send me an email or call me and I would love to visit with you!
Got a call from a KKIM listener in Chama, NM yesterday! The FM really reaches out to the Land of Enchantment! (YESTERDAY WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY, I DON’T KNOW IF I HAVE CAUGHT UP WITH MYSELF YET!!!)
I had sent out an email that we will be doing more prayer and news updates at the web site www.deweysdailycup.com and less emails. We for right now will be sending out the cup by email by popular demand, but please put the web site on your favorites because we want to get away from email. Now here is a suggestion that Jannetta is working on…………..
Hi Dewey.
Another alternative en lieu of sending e-mails is to set up a RRS feed, which delivers a link automatically to all on a subscriber list that will give them a reminder that there is new content on your web page. Then, be sure to add instructions on the site for visitors encouraging them to subscribe to your RSS feed.
Just a suggestion! Thanks!

Thanks David! Jannetta is working on that. It is nice to have family members like David to help us out.

Dr, Larry Bates called me and he will be bringing his seminar to Albuquerque once again this year! KKIM is so thankful to have Dr. Bates coming on Oct. 4th. Stay tuned for registration information!
We are planning a couple of KKIM events before the year is out………please keep this planning in your prayers….HIS will not ours!
I so much enjoyed reading this past few days……..a time to read, pray, and sing praises to our LORD!
If you know me at all, you know I love to read……8 books at once………love it!
As we get closer to November this scripture I read seems timely, as all scripture is………
“Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
Psalm 100
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God:
It is He who has made us, and not ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving.
And into His courts with praise.
be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
and His truth endures to all generations.
Think and pray about this………….
Last night in the wee hours a thought came to me, to trust God beyond my own understanding of God………The very next day and the day after I shared the thought with the young people I was teaching,
and then I shared it with two friends my own age, and one said to trust God beyond our own understanding is what is required of us in dying, for our own understanding cannot penetrate the veil of death.
John S. Dunne, A Journey with God in Time: A Spiritual Quest
I am seeking the same……..to trust God beyond my own understanding. As it says in Psalms 100…..It is HE who made us………too much of the time I rely on my own thinking and feelings.
I have to tell you that I feel so blessed by the Lord to be where I am at to bring all sorts of folks together world wide you may never meet but enjoy praying together and enjoying a cup together in the LORD. PRAISE GOD!
Dear Dewey,
Thank you so much for sending this little prayer today from St. Teresa of Avila’s prayerbook. It was indeed perfect timing. I have had such a difficult week with my pastor of St. Basil’s Church in Kimberton, PA. I have been trying to talk to him about having Adult Faith Formation in our parish and also about having the doors of the church open during the day so that people can stop in to pray. I also sponsor a seminarian in Kerala, India and have witnessed first hand the wonderful Vincentian ministries for the poor. I thought it would be wonderful if one of the Vincentian priests could come and talk to our congregation about their work in India. They are wonderful charismatic preachers who find so much joy in their vocation. It would be good for the people to witness and be touched by their ministry. My pastor refuses to speak to me about any of this. So far, I have only been trying to set up an appointment through e-mail, but just the other day I called the rectory and left a message. I received the most nastiest e-mail from him this past Monday. It has really hurt me deeply. It is not so much because of the cutting words that were said to me, but the reality that our pastor does not care about bringing our church to a more vibrant faith life. I’ve contacted his superiors, and although somewhat compassionate, they say they really can’t do anything. I feel that this is the reason why we have so few good men entering the seminary to be priests. Our priests are not held accountable for what they do and many of them are not what most good Catholics would want their sons to emulate.
Thanks again for the wonderful words of wisdom. I will pray for you and Sharon that God may heal you quickly.
I live in a town called Kimberton, PA. It is only 10 minutes away from Valley Forge, Pennsylvania where George Washington and his troops camped in the winter of 1777-1778 when the British occupied Philadelphia. It is now one of our National Parks.
Please pray for me. It is truly the most powerful gift you can give to someone.
Thanks,
Linda
Friends,
Labor Day–a rest from our Labors! I hope you can take some time to slow down with your families, like my family will be doing this weekend.
Maybe you will have time to check to see if your voter registration is current. Here’s an easy link–check it out with your whole family & use the time to teach younger members about the big responsibility of voting!

Hi Dewey!
Hope you and Sharon and all the family are better and that you had a good
holiday.
Today Frank Haley(KKIM NEWS) read an article about God’s edible vegetation, sizes,
shapes and similarity of the human organs (shape) affected by those
nutrients. It was excellent. Would it be possible to obtain a copy of
that? With this e-mail you have my e-mail address by which it could be
sent to me. Alternatively, if there is an internet address where I can
download, that would suffice too.
How are you getting along with Gilbert’s Bible foundations study
notebook?
I have found 2 helpful web sites. I need the Greek alphabet (a
magnifying glass) and help to identify the parts of speech. 1st:
englishclub.com 2nd=englishman’s greek by Dr. James Boyer @
Http://www.middletownbiblechurch.org/egreek/egreek.htm
Hope they will prove helpful to anyone attempting to study while
bypassing the language study usually required.
Thanks for all you do.
Joan
Thanks for the note Joan………Gilbert’s Foundation book has helped me so much!………..Here is Frank’s answer to Joan’s question………
Joan, I think this is what you ask Dewey about… Here’s the script.
Hello NM Im fh, Happy Labor day everybody,
As you rest from your daily labor today, I’d like to tell you how you can live a healther life by following
God’s word. The Bible says that God first
separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden,
made animals and fish… all before making a human. He made and provided
what we’d need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when
eaten raw. We’re such slow learners…
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part
of our body!
God’s Pharmacy is Amazing!
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris
and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now
shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four
chambers and is red. Research shows tomatoes are loaded with
lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart.
Each grape looks like a blood cell and research shows
grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right
hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or
folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help
develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney
function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Rhubarb and many more look just like
bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium
and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your
diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods
replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and
function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these
organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it
balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical
cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow
an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic
chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern
science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow.
Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm
as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the
glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just
like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the
breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows
onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even
produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working
companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free
radicals from the body.
So If we’d just follow God’s clues in the Bible in all things, food, attitudes, situations,
relationships, we’d be a lot better off. I hope you have a restful Labor day. and remember
starting eating those fresh fruits and vegetables that the Bible and your Mother have been
tell you to eat all along.

Dewey,
Not only was I battling a bug, so was my computer… it was rogue spyware, so not as bad as it could’ve been… I think I am on my way back to good health 🙂 PTL, always… I am so sorry for the return of heart worm for Reno… 🙁 am praying… it is so hard to see them struggle and we suffer and struggle right along with the pets we love… as well as the people, of course…
God Bless and be your strength as He gives you wisdom… Reno is His creation; who better to go to for ultimate help than the Creator. He may use the hands and hearts of others to give you opportunity to show them Jesus… 🙂

Here is our FUNNY BONE from Sharon……..
Ol’ Fred had been a faithful Christian and was in the hospital, near
death. The family called their pastor to stand with them. As the
pastor stood next to the bed, Ol’ Fred’s condition appeared to
deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something to write on.
The pastor lovingly handed him a pen and a piece of paper, and Ol’
Fred used his last bit of energy to scribble a note, then he died.
The pastor thought it best not to look at the note at thattime, so
he placed it in his jacket pocket.
At the funeral, as he was finishing the message, he realized that he
was wearing the same jacket that he was wearing when Ol’ Fred died.
He said, “You know, Ol’ Fred handed me a note just before he died. I
haven’t looked at it, but knowing Fred, I’m sure there’s a word of
inspiration there for us all.”
He opened the note, and read, “idiot, you’re standing on my oxygen tube!”
From Nic…………
What’s the #1 sin and downfall of man? Maybe that’s what makes saying I’m sorry so difficult…being prideful. Be careful because this type of sin will lead to the destuction of relationships.

The Art of Saying, ‘I am Sorry’, by Steve Higginbotham
Apologizing doesn’t come easy for some of us. We sometimes choke on the
words, “I’m sorry.” Well, in fact, sometimes we speak the words, but we
do so with such animosity, the message is lost.
I can illustrate. Being a parent of four children, I have had to
“moderate” a good number of apologies. On many occasions, I have told
one of my children, “Now you tell your brother/sister you’re sorry.”
What then comes out of their mouth sounds more like a child who is
demon possessed than a sincere apology. Teeth clenched … jaw set …
and the words, “I’m sorry” are spoken in a forceful and almost growling
tone. (If you have children, you know exactly what I’m talking about).
But now, that’s just kid’s stuff, right? Adults don’t behave like that,
now do we? Well, maybe we’re not so obvious, but we still have ways of
speaking those words with less than sincerity. For example, how many
times have you heard people say things like …
* If I have done anything to offend you, I’m sorry.
Isn’t it time we quit pretending …
* I’m sorry, but if you wouldn’t have …
* If you’ll apologize to me, I’ll apologize to you.
Isn’t it time we quit pretending to be sorry? Let us discipline
ourselves to be humble enough to graciously and freely say we are sorry
when we have offended others. When confronted with his sin, King David
didn’t make any excuses, but simply admitted his wrong by saying, “I
have sinned against the Lord” (2 Samuel 12:13).
Next time you need to say you’re sorry. Humble yourself and do so, and
say it like you mean it.
This is from Linda………..
Many things in this world are not always what they appear to be, yet, as long as we act out of love for God, we continue to further His Kingdom and to know and love Him even more.
1 John 3 16-18 “The way we came to know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.”
1 John 4 1-6 “Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh belongs to God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world. You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them. We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.”
If we say we love Jesus, how can we not love the Church which is the Body of Christ.

Here is a good story from Valli…………………
A married lady was expecting a birthday gift from her husband.
For many months she had admired a beautiful diamond ring in a
Showroom, and knowing her husband could afford it, she told him That was all she wanted.
As her birthday approached, this lady awaited signs that her
Husband had purchased the diamond ring. Finally, on the morning of
Her birthday, her husband called her into his study room.
Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a good wife, and
Told her how much he loved her. He handed her a beautiful wrapped
Gift box. Curious, the wife opened the box and found a lovely,
Leather-bound Bible, with the wife’s name embossed in gold.
Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, ‘With all
Your money you give me a Bible? And stormed out of the house,
leaving her husband.
Many years passed and the married lady was very successful in
Business. She managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a
Wonderful family, but realized her ex-husband was very old, and
Thought perhaps she should go to visit him. She had not seen him
For many years.
But before she could make arrangements, she received a telegram
Telling her that her ex-husband had passed away, and willed all of
His possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately and
Take care of things.
When she arrived at her ex-husband’s house, sudden sadness and
Regret filled her heart. She began to search through her
Ex-husband’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as
She had left it years ago.
With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. Her Ex-husband had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, ‘And if
You, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how
Much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to
Those who ask Him?’
As she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of
The Bible. It had a diamond ring with her name engraved on it, the
Same diamond ring which she saw at the showroom. On the tag was the
Date of her birth, and the words..’LUV U ALWAYS’…
How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not
Packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to
Others.
Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but
Remember that what you now have was once among the things you only
Hoped for.
IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKAGED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT’S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKAGED THE WAY IT IS! ALWAYS APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS; THEY USUALLY LEAD YOU TO BIGGER THINGS!
Watch your Thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your Habits, they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny
God Bless you always………Dewey Sharon and Family
