Good Morning KKIM Family……
David’s son Solomon write’s in Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
That is such an AWESOME promise………not easy………but it’s TRUE!
I pray that both political party’s would pray over that scripture!
We are living in historic times. What to do? It is like Gilbert Larson said to me yesterday that we need not build our foundation in sand……….but in God’s word.
We need to fix our eyes on God………not our problems…….we need to devour God’s word daily.
We need to have a national day of Prayer everyday! We need to get on our knees before the Lord as a Country and ask God back into all of America.
We need to end the hate that is so much part of America. This political season sure has brought that to full force.
A Political party or candidate is not going to solve our problems………but God can. God must be sad with all the hate and greed here in America.
I read yesterday this comment……..America is not being brought down by a terrorist group……..it is brining itself down because of greed and hate and awful things in this country that we allow to go on.
So much NOTHING NOISE OUT IN THE WORLD!!! A lot of noise that means NOTHING!
I get about 200 emailed news releases a day…..one will come from the democrats criticizing the republicans and then just a few minutes later one will come from the republicans shooting down the democrats..is that all these people have to do? Take all that energy and put it into something for God!
On New Mexico News and Views we had a report of a CNN poll that showed 62% believed America is headed for a depression.
In a Rassmussen Poll it showed that 33% believe picking the next Congress right out of the phone book is better that what we have now!!!!
We have no leaders! Well, not many anyway……..We will not get our answers from a Political party…….sorry but those two guys running for President don’t have the answer’s…….Only God does.
This seems like a simple thing……..give America……..give ourselves back to God……….devour God’s word………get our knees……..and pray that God will forgive us for our sins, and invite God back into America, into the World HE created.
This is not about Wall Street, this is not about some magical bailout………..this should be about a bailout to God.
God still may bring down America………but let us seek His will and let us spread the word of Jesus Christ and bring more folks to HIM before HE comes back.
What an AWESOME GOD we have! Your prayers mean so much to so many……..please read this follow up by Andrea……….but first this………..
I love this scripture and I keep it by my computer as I write the Cup and pray……….
“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24
I PRAISE GOD, as so many prayers are being answered!!!!! Let us all continue to be in prayer for each other and our families and country!

Isn’t it GREAT to know Who is really in CONTROL?
Sharon found this…..and it reminds me of my Mom…………and her Mom!
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PLAN TO BE GREAT MOMS,
THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE GREAT MOMS,
THOSE WHO HAVE GREAT MOMS,
AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HAD GREAT MOMS…
Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn’t come out of shag carpets.
Real Mothers don’t want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real Mothers sometimes ask ‘Why me?’ and get their answer when a little voice says, ‘Because I love you best’
Real Mothers know that a child ‘s growth is not measured by height or years or grade.. It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mom to,Mother…
4 YEARS OF AGE – My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE – My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE – My Mother doesn’t really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE – Naturally, Mother doesn’t know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE – Mother? She’s hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE – That old woman? She’s way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE – Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE – Before we decide, let’s get Mom’s opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE – Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE – Wish I could talk it over with Mom.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!
Nik sent this in……….
“My Name is Rose”
The first day of school our professor introduced himself and
challenged us to get to know someone we didn’t already know. I stood
up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.
I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me
with a smile that lit up her entire being.
She said, ‘Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old.
Can I give you a hug?’
I laughed and enthusiastically responded, ‘Of course you may!’ and she
gave me a giant squeeze.
‘Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?’ I asked.
She jokingly replied, ‘I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married,
and have a couple of kids…’
‘No seriously,’ I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to
be taking on this challenge at her age.
‘I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting
one!’ she told me.
After class we walked to the student union building and shared a
chocolate milkshake.
We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months we
would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always mesmerized
listening to this ‘time machine’ as she shared her wisdom and
experience with me.
Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily
made frien ds wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she reveled
in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was
living it up.
At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football
banquet. I’ll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and
stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech,
she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.
Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and
simply said, ‘I’m sorry I’m so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent
and
this whiskey is killing me! I’ll never get my speech back in order so
let me just tell you what I know.’
As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, ‘ We do not stop
playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and
achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day. You’ve
got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die .
We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even
know it!
There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up.
If you are nineteen years old and li e in bed for one full year and
don’t do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old. If I am
eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do
anything I will turn eighty-eight.
Anybody can grow older. That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The
idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no
regrets.
The elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for
things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with
regrets.’
She concluded her speech by courageously singing ‘The Rose.’
She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our
daily lives. At the year’s end Rose finished the college degree she
had begun all those years ago.
One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.
Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to
the wonderful woman who taught by example that it’s never too late to
be all you can possibly be.
When you finish reading this, please send this peaceful word of advice
to your friends and family, they’ll really enjoy it!
These words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.
REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. We make
a Living by what we get. We make a Life by what we give.
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. If God brings you
to it, He will bring you through it.
‘Good friends are like stars……..You don’t always see them, but you
know they are always there.’
Our prayer today is that this Cup brought you some peace and hope in Jesus Christ! Love, Dewey Sharon and family.
