Dear Family of Jesus,

Oh My Friends I come to you today humbly in prayer for all of you and our World……….May you and yours be blessed…….My prayer as I write you this is that you and yours will be blessed today by this CUP we offer you! 

Matthew 5:1-4……….

Seeing the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him.
Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!
Blessed and enviably happy (with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace) are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!

May you know my friend the true meaning in Jesus Christ of being blessed! AMEN!

Prayer for Hope
God bless all who are battling those inner demons of depression, loneliness, unworthiness, and hopelessness. Shine Your warm Heavenly Light down upon all of us, Lord, who are looking for our soul mates. Guide us to find peace, happiness, and contentment in our lives and within ourselves.

Preaching
the Words that God gave me this past week at Martha’s Rosary and Funeral have been such a blessing, the words that came back from so many encourage me, to see Catholics and Evangelicals come together and for Father Gerry of Holy Family Catholic Church to welcome me, was so very special.

To see people so hungry for God’s Word and so thankful to hear God’s Word has given me much peace and encouragement.

I have never seen God’s people so divided as they are now, I have never seen this Country so divided since the the 60’s

People are asking me, just got another text, Where do you Preach?. We do not have a Church at this time, but God is moving us in that direction to establish a Church, For God’s Glory Alone! Amen!

This past week I met Dr. Paul Crites who was at KAZQ Ch 32 taping. Dr. Crites is an international speaker, author and transformational leader based in Nashville.

Let me share with you,the Lord blessed me with being invited to go to Nashville in Nov. to be mentored by Dr. Crites. In this sitting about a dozen folks will be mentored to by Dr. Crites. AMEN! 

Let me just share with you a few things this morning that the Lord has put on my heart….these come from Dr. Crites book, 21 Things Every Leader needs to know….I will say this……It’s information EVERYONE NEEDS TO SOAK IN……..

Any movement toward order will expose anything or anyone that does not belong in your life!

Disorder delays and distracts.

The first sign of insanity is your willingness to live in disorder. 

Disorder is more destructive that you can comprehend. It impacts your present and greatly hinders your future. Disorder creates stress and continues to steal your time, energy and life.

Right now, everything you are doing is increasing order or disorder in your life.

What is the proof of disorder?

Pain.

Disorder is the painful problem that persists.

Stop blaming others, take responsibility and seek wisdom to correct the course.

Order will increase two areas:

1. Comfort

2. Productivity.

What is proof of order?

Pleasure.

Order influences your attitude more than you realize.

What must I do?

Take inventory of your life.

Proverbs 16:25..There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end leads to death.

Read | Nehemiah 1:1-11
Nehemiah was a man who lived on his knees. Whenever he needed guidance, strength, provision, or protection, his first response was prayer. Because of Nehemiah’s humble dependence, God was able to use him greatly to achieve His purposes.
This principle is still true for believers today. God can use us in the most awesome fashion if we’ll seek Him and make ourselves available. He has a calling for each of us and doesn’t want us wasting the opportunities He provides.
To follow Nehemiah’s example of dependent prayer, we must first recognize God as the sovereign Ruler of the universe (v. 5). Although He’s our loving Father and loyal Friend, we must never forget that He is also our high and exalted Creator whose holiness is beyond our comprehension. Never think of the Lord as “the man upstairs” or come into His presence in a frivolous manner.
Because Nehemiah respected the awesome holiness of God, he approached Him with confession, admitting not only his sin, but his father’s and Israel’s as well (vv. 6-7). We cannot hide, deny, or cherish sin and expect the Lord to hear and answer our prayers. Purity of heart and the power of God are linked. We need the sensitivity to instantly recognize when we’ve strayed, and the willingness to deal with sin immediately.
The reason Nehemiah stood so tall and strong was not due to his natural abilities, but because he developed a relationship of dependency on the Lord through prayer. The same can be true for you. Don’t rush into your day without taking time to enter God’s throne room to seek His guidance.

October 1, 2012. Renewed vigor is needed right now as we seek renewal in our lives and in our nation and even worldwide. Have you ever experienced spiritual renewal? Yesterday I drove through some mountains that startled me. On a previous trip through those mountains, they were freshly devastated by consuming fires, taking out trees and most vegetation. Everything looked brown or black. But yesterday, mountain after mountain was covered with fresh green growth. This being a very dry part of our state, it surely needed the continuous rains it has recently received. Do you need rain in your life? Are you in need of refreshment? If so, cry out to the heavens and beseech the Holy Spirit to send that rain into your life. Learn from the story of Jonathan below.
1 Samuel 14:25-27 (MSG) “There were honeycombs here and there in the fields. But no one so much as put his finger in the honey to taste it, for the soldiers to a man feared the curse. October 1, 2012. I know you are tired. When you are tired it is hard to see any good about much of anything. I know you are seeing many negatives now, but don’t give up. There is another way. You just can’t see the right way now. Now is not the time to go full speed ahead. Now is the time to slow your pace until a clearer way comes into view. You put too much on yourself to accomplish what you think needs to be done. If you will slow your pace and just go at the speed I say, the best way will come to you. Then you will succeed.

October 1, 2012. Love and accept one another. Look through My eyes of love at the world around you. I came with compassion to a lost and dying world. I lived an example before you of proper conduct and behavior. Love unconditionally. Reach out to those around you who are suffering pain, shame, guilt, etc. You have been forgiven much. Act accordingly to the people you meet. To those who act, dress, walk, and talk differently than you do, demonstrate My love and acceptance. People want to know if you will receive them despite their flaws and scars. I was pierced, scarred, mocked and spat upon for you. Love again, again and again.

We need a voice that cries out for the redemptive power in the blood and the healing virtue in the blood! Oh God give us preachers who aren’t ashamed of the blood!!!

We thank the Lord for the healing of Baby Eden, Grandma Jeanell sent this picture to us. Look at that Godly smile! Jeanell says Baby Eden is smiling because she knows she is God’s Miracle Baby. Baby Eden is now up to 5 pounds! PRAISE GOD! The family is thankful for your prayers!

Please keep the Revival in your prayers! We are so much looking forward to going and we know miracles are going to be happening! We pray that you plan to attend! Would love folks from New Mexico, Minnesota, all over our great Country to join us!

The Funeral for Martha Montano-Vallejos was an extreme blessing.What a legacy she has left us all, Loved the message by Father Jerry and he was so gracious in letting me share. Martha is one of the reasons I became a Pastor, she modeled the love of Jesus, she produced much fruit in her life on this earth.

I am just thrilled to the bone when Catholics and Evangelicals can come together, PRAISE GOD! Can you imagine how God feels when this happens!!! WOW! What a thought! Thank you again Father Jerry!

Someone drinking the CUP today needs this: The way you meet a person this day will set the course for your entire relationship. Pray on this.

Please be in prayer for Curtis who got dizzy on Tuesday and fell and hit his head. The Doctor’s are doing tests as to why he got dizzy.

One thing that is on my heart this day that I have talked to Sharon about is all the meetings I am getting invited to take part in. My discernment has told me to be careful where I spend my time. I have to tell you I was invited to a lot of meetings when I was with KKIM, now I am being swamped with invites……went to one the other day and they were asking me to contact folks to get them to come to a meeting!!! Ugh!! God showed me that the Church is having too many meetings! WOW! I understand some meetings are needed, but by golly, let’s get out and meet the needs of folks! The Lord put me into FGGAM to meet people where they are at. To much of the Church is in it’s building and not reaching people. I have a meeting everyday with God and my prayer time and then sharing the CUP with you! Let God set your agenda each day! I am sadden by so many Church Folk wanting to have meetings all the time. When was the last time you were in a meeting that accomplished something for God and the lost? The time I have is to be used for God and His purpose for my life, and we know that purpose by listening to Him each day. Let’s all analyze where we are spending our time for Jesus Christ. To many times we set our Schedule and not GOD! If you took all this energy of all these meetings and put it into saving the Lost, WOW WEE what a Revival that would be! AMEN!

Use your God given discernment on all you do. Ask God to show you where to spend your time.

I love sharing sermon illustrations with Preachers. Your Peter grabbing the Lord’s hand reminded me of one. A preacher friend was walking to the mail box on his rural WV road with his one year old grandson, who was holding to his finger. As they approached the road he looked down at his grandson’s hand and realized he better reverse it. He should be holding the babies hand, because the baby might let go of his. He began to weep as he realized that it was an image of Christ holding on to us. We may let go, but He never will! I loved that. Hope you don’t mind that I shared. We are so Precious to the Father.

The temperature is high. The fires are raging. Cool heads are scarce. And I’m not talking about the summer heat.
It’s election time; a sophisticated version of Braveheartwarfare. One party stands on the ridge to the right, the enemy  glares at them from the left. Brace yourselves for an onslaught of angry advertisements, tacky conversations, and a season of name-calling and finger-pointing. It’s easy to get cynical.
It’s better to grow prayerful.
I’ve been looking for the Bible verse that tells me to criticize the government. I haven’t found it. But I did come across this level-headed instruction:
“First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him. Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to know the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NCV)
The Apostle Paul wants young Timothy to lead the church in a godly fashion. His first command? “pray for all people.” The flagship assignment of the church is prayer. Feed the hungry? Counsel the confused? Teach the lost? Absolutely. But first, we pray. The primary activity of a local church is intercession and worship.
Specifically, we “pray for rulers and for all who have authority….” This includes our president, vice-president, all elected and appointed officials.  We ask God to use them to facilitate a haven of quiet and peace where worship can abound.  We pray so that “…we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God.”
Remarkable. A peaceful society depends upon the prayers of the church. If we do not have a peaceful society–where worship and respect for God can flourish–what is the solution? Better government policy? A different president? New Congress? No, the first solution is a praying church.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…then I will hear from heaven.” (II Chron. 7:14 NIV)
Let’s take this prayer responsibility seriously. Would you join me in Forty Days of Prayer for our nation? We will begin on September 28 and conclude on election day, November 6.  To be counted among those who are praying, simply sign your name to the pledge on our website for 40 Days of Prayer for the USA.
By God’s grace, our prayers will prompt showers of blessings that will cool our heated country.

Here’s a great story…………
Yesterday wasn’t my favorite day. We had a busy weekend – jam packed with family flying in, a college event at our house, later a college graduation party for my son’s girlfriend’s family, then another big high school graduation party for family friends, the son did youth group with us, at our house, lasting 5 or 6 hours. Today, I went to my Church function and felt looked past, when usually I like our small group.

Don’t we all feel overlooked sometimes? God tells us it isn’t all about us – And our favorite thing, our feelings, our specialness, me. God doesn’t tell us we are the star. God tells us we are part – not of the group thing – not of special closeness fellowship. God tells us we are part of Him. In fact, when we are shining the brightest – for ourselves – God says we are apart from Him.

Sure there are days of blessing in fellowship. The light falls fair on our head. There are also other days to listen and support others. A day to pray for others.

God doesn’t say I will always feel connected to Him like an umbilical cord. Feelings don’t always mean fact. Sure, our feelings are important, leading us how to discern and act, but we are fallible. Seeing with the eyes of faith. God says when I abide in Him, I can ask what I wish. Strong words. I believe when I reach out, earnestly, when I know He is my refuge, when I want what He wants in the love of knowing Him – I move His hand in faith, willingly. In God, we can rest in Him when the situation says He is our only refuge as well. Letting prayer rest with God’s answer willingly. Sometimes He does love us to keep talking to Him with what we earnestly desire and need. I know a woman restored from hereditary blindness, in her sheer determination to seek Him for healing. God tells me, tells us, faith and love open His ears to our prayers. Always pray and have hope. God is perfectly willing to hear us complain to Him. Just as He asks us to abide with Him in our actions and words.

I abide in Him. Earnestly. In love, faith and hope. Faith, He means what He says. Hope, He means me. Love – all there can be – God loves me. I will be the Light, when there is not a open reward for doing so. I will not just be meek when God says to work at communication. I will put my hands out in faith and say, let me make this day – You have given me – matter and work for Your desire. God help me to be Light, when it requires compassion. God help me to be salt, when it requires courage. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

September 28, 2012. God has healed you. There are no sick people in Heaven. When you die as a believer in Christ, you do not die but God has called you home. No sickness ever kills a believer. Instead, should sickness come to your door, refuse it until you have a word from God about His will and purpose for you. When you have His word and will, believe it in your heart. Confess it with your mouth as being so (e.g. yesterday’s daily word). Believing it puts you in agreement with God. Confessing it to be so releases healing. Bev and I continually state and confess that we are healthy, being healed and will live a long and good life. God first promised me that about 40 years ago. Though we have been through bouts with sickness, here we are, 77 years old and in good health, doing most of the things we have always done. God has healed you.
Romans 10:8-10 (NLT) “In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart. And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Ras Robinson

September 28, 2012. Now is the time to push through. You have considered stopping or at least slowing down, thinking it would be much better than the way it is going now. The plan of action you are thinking about is not a good one. It will affect everything adversely. There needs to be consistency established for yourself and for someone else who is learning from you. Stay with what you are doing. Both of you will learn a big lesson from this, and won’t have to repeat it again. Think about not having to do it again and that alone will help you get through. You haven’t done anything wrong; just push through.

September 28, 2012. Seek My face and humble yourself before Me. You have sought your ways and not Mine. You have become frustrated because the things you have prayed for did not happen as you desired. Stop striving and know that I AM God. Bow down before Me and confess your transgression not only for yourself, but for your nation as well. You’ve sat by and waited for someone else to shoulder the load. You weren’t willing to make sacrifices to see transformation emerge. Will you do anything no matter what the cost? You have been made holy as I AM holy. Approach Me with holy fear and awe. The Holy Spirit moved in a POWERFUL way last night at Holy Family Catholic Church as we remembered the life of Martha Montano-Vallejos Thank you Roger and Bernadette Montano for allowing me to share on the life of Martha and her walk with Jesus Christ and to share the Word of God, The King of Kings! Heaven is a prepared place….are you prepared?

Karen Rowe announced last night a location for the Revival in Orange County North Carolina. I will be taking part in the Revival. It begins Oct 12th. PRAISE GOD! Thank YOU LORD for people like Karen Rowe!

The Lord was awesome in His power and presence today. I give Him all the glory for such a special day.
I spent part of the day with a sister in the Lord who is going in for a breast biopsy tomorrow (Thursday at 1:00 pm CST please pray for her).
She called me on Tuesday and I was full of angst about the election. She listened to me rattle and prattle on about this and that. She then graciously reminded me that God is Sovereign over all of this. Yes, Yes, He is but… I went on a little more and then quit. She quietly told me that she had to go in for a biopsy on Thursday and she called me to pray for her. Oh….. Dear friend. Well she said I almost called to ask you to come over and pray for me. But of course I will pray for you I said. Oh, thank you. After a little more discussion we hung up and I went downstairs to tell Paul about the situation.
And then God said “call her and go over and lay hands on her and pray for her”. So I did call her and ask if she would like me to come over tomorrow and pray with her. Oh would you? I would like that. So I had an awesome time with my friend, Glenda, and the Lord today. We of course prayed. We prayed that the spot would be gone and that she would have a testimony not only for the Doctors but also for her family of God’s awesome and miraculous power. We prayed for her family and for God’s perfect peace for her. We cried and just shared our love for our Savior.
Then we talked about hearing the Lord. Taking the time in our busy day to listen and be available to pray for someone, or sit with them, or call or bring a meal. Whatever it is the Lord might put on our hearts. So often we both have fallen prey to I have to clean today, or I have a Bible Study I must go to, or an errand that has to be done. How much time do I waste doing, doing, doing? The story of Martha and Mary often comes to mind. I have always felt bad for Martha (I tend towards task completion in my theology!). She did miss the better thing.
Luke 10:38-42
38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a]Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
How often do we miss the better thing because of the busyness of life? The “great distract-er” uses busyness to keep us from hearing the Lord. How or where does he want to use us? If we are always busy and never take time to rest we miss not only opportunities to be with Him and hear Him but also to serve others and be Him to them.
Glenda also reminded me that all God really desires is relationship with us, intimate relationship. I remembered her telling me once that her life verse is Isaiah 43:10 and so we looked it up.
Isaiah 43:10
You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
God want us to know Him and believe Him. We know Him through His Word and through spending time with Him. Listening to Him and praying. That still small voice that encourages you to write a note, or send some flowers or take someone to lunch. How can we share the gospel if we never take the time to love on someone enough that they come to trust us and view us as a person they can share their concerns with? Do we even exhibit the peace in our lives that causes them to wonder what makes us different? We should shouldn’t we? The Word of God says that we will be different. Are we because we are trusting in Him via His Holy Spirit to lead us? Or are we like Mary fretting, busy and trying to carry our burdens on our own?
The final verse I shared with Glenda follows. It is a word picture from our Awesome, Loving, Abba Father and it talks about us, the beloved of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 33:12
(About Benjamin he said)
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
I did have a busy day today. But the Lord was keeping me busy; praying with a friend, talking with another on the phone and praying for them, having another couple over tonight for pie and praying again and then reading Dewey’s email asking if I would write for the cup. Only one of these activities was planned by me. They were all holy appointments and the Lord showed up.
Lord thank you for blessing me today with opportunities. It was a very good day. Help me to submit to you tomorrow for I wish to know you better and serve you more for I love you.

September 27, 2012. Some of us seem to find that being “jarred into turning things around” is what works best. It has been said for some people you can tell their breakthroughs in life by the knots you see on their head. Very few are easy learners and quick repenters. The rest of us need some jarring before we will surrender. The Apostle Paul was my kind of church leader. He said it straight and clear most of the time. You never need to wonder what he means. He allowed the Holy Spirit to lead him when correction was needed. Holy Spirit also had freedom to work wonders in Paul’s teaching of the Gospel. He even opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles, a very bold step.

2 Corinthians 7:9 (MSG) “Now I’m glad-not that you were upset, but that you were jarred into turning things around. You let the distress bring you to God, not drive you from him. The result was all gain, no loss.” Ras Robinson

September 27, 2012. Get your thoughts back in the thankful realm. You do not realize how destructive it is for you to continue thinking negatively. I am here to tell you this right now. If you keep thinking negative thoughts, they will eventually cause you many problems. No one knows fully your thoughts and your heart except Me. I know all. And I am giving you a warning. I made every atom to be positive with protons in the center. There are the same number of neutrons as protons to keep the protons stable. Precious, I have given you the Holy Spirit to help keep you positive, stable and full of faith.

John 14:26-27 (NKJV) “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. September 27, 2012. I am truth and I am life. I spoke and the world was formed. I spoke life into plants, animals, and mankind. My word is real and My word is from the beginning and knows no end. My word will not return void. Keep yourself from temporary things which can and will steal My joy and peace in your life. Invest your time in My word, and devote yourselves to Scripture memory. Know and speak My word with confidence. My word brings clarity and peace. Handling issues with your own words can lead to uncertainty and misinterpretation. My word carries all of Me and encompasses all things. Rely on My word.
