The last couple of days I have been talking to old friends in Christ! Pastor Barry Dickens who was our Pastor in Los Alamos is helping me, with many others, through the process of becoming a Pastor. My friends, Attorney David Standridge, Roger Dibble all solid Christian men are with me and Sharon, PRAISE GOD!! I am so thankful for all the Godly relationships we have. Yesterday on New Mexico News and Views I was able to pick up the phone and call WFRN News Dir. Don Wagner and get a live report from him on President Obama’s visit to the area(South Bend/Elkhart, In.) yesterday. Isn’t it so neat to have so many Brothers and Sisters in Christ!!!! We certainly appreciate you all!!! We LOVE YOU!!!

We are praying for our friends at Heights Christian Church…….We feel so much part of Heights,(They have been so good to Sharon and I, We love them all!) because I have so many friends there and speak there, and of course play for the softball team, so it really hurt last night when I took the phone call from Pastor Mark Scales saying that the roof had blown off the Church. We went on the air last night asking folks to pray and then I went up to the Church to see the destruction. What is so interesting is that NO OTHER HOMES OR BUILDINGS were damaged, as far as we know.

One Nation Under God Prayer meeting at Heights at 7pm Friday night is still on. If that changes we will let you know. Pastor mark said we would hold it in another part of the building.

Frank Haley calls it Spiritual warfare…….Like Oswald Chambers once said, “Praise God for your report that the Devil is paying attention to you—-so long as he keeps firing at us you may depend he thinks that we are worth watching.”

David Jeremiah wrote this on prayer:

Jesus never taught His disciples how to preach, only how to pray. He did not speak much of what was needed to preach well, but much of praying well. To know how to speak to God is more important than knowing how to speak to man. Not power with men, but power with God is the first thing. Jesus loves to teach us how to pray.

Thanks SO much for the Urgent News Bulletin about the microburst effect at Heights Christian. Bless G-d that no one was injured; Bless G-d that people stopped by to help, Bless G-d that there’s local community involvement. We’re asking G-d’s provision for repairs and that those who are helping who don’t personally know Christ will know Him through their compassion for Heights and worship Him there.

We also have this prayer from Angel Murchison of Destiny Moments, heard Friday’s at 2:30 on KKIM…….Angel was with us on News and Views yesterday. here she sends up a prayer to our Lord for Sam, Patty, and Gary…….

Lord we come before you today with thanksgiving in our hearts. for this is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice in it. amen. Lord we lift Sammy before your throne today. She is hurting and Lord she needs your touch today. May Sam touch the hem of your garmet today God and her hurts be healed. We ask Lord you fill those empy places in her heart with you. Lord your Word say’s you bind up the broken hearted. Bind up those wounds Lord. I pray for Gary Lord that you would help him to make all the right choices. Father you lead him to the right path-may he always chooce the HIGHER way. Lord I pray he would seek ye first the Kingdom of God and your righteousness and all other things would be added unto him Lord. Father I pray for Patty today, you know everything about her every detail of her life I pray for her Lord that she will come to know you as Jesus Lover of her soul. Lord her life is in your hands. Today Lord we ask you would make every crooked way straight for her. We thank you for the plans you have for her-plans to prosper her-to give her hope and a future (a very bright future at that).

Lord I pray for the destiny of these three individuals. Lord I pray you would reveal yourself in such a way to them that they will not doubt the plan you have for them. Put divine appointments in their paths Lord. Call them unto yourself. Deep calleth unto Deep. Lord you love them all so very much-you died for them while they were yet sinners. Every struggle they have Lord you paid a dear price for the victory. Lord use them mightily in the days ahead to build your Kingdom. I ask you to meet every need they have Lord with your riches in glory. These are your children-your creation Lord and we weep with them when they weep and we rejoice with them when they rejoice. We love them Lord because you first loved them and created them for such a time as this. Now the three of them must be in the WORD and Jesus the lifter of their countenance will show himself strong to them. Why because we asked and now we believe abd rec’ve in Jesus name for them.

Lord I pray for all the listeners on KKIM today- bring hope to them, encouragement and a rich WORD that will keep them strong. I ask Lord you bless Dewey and Sharon and all the staff at KKIM and may the nations be changed because the rich Word of God is going forth.

Lord, We pray for the wisdom and safety of the workers today and in the coming days as they repair Heights Christian Church. We pray that Your people will come together in the hundred’s to help this Church rebuild it’s roof and other damages. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!!!

KKIM NEWS IS CONTINUING TO COVER THE NEWS THAT THE ROOF OF HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN CHURCH WAS BLOWN OFF BY A MICRO BURST (WED) AT AROUND 6:30PM. I JUST RETURNED FROM THE SCENE WHERE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH HAD GATHERED FOR PRAYER.

INTERESTING THAT NO OTHER BUILDINGS OR HOMES IN THE AREA OF COMANCHE AND LOUISIANA REPORTED DAMAGES.

PEOPLE WHERE STOPPING BY TO OFFER THE CHURCH HELP

AS MANY OF YOU KNOW THIS IS A LARGE CHURCH BUILDING…….DAMAGES ARE HUGE.

Reporting live Dewey Moede says Pastor Mark Scales estimates 4 tons of roof material on the ground. The large playground equipment in the Children’s area is completely destroyed. It was a real miracle that no one was injured or killed. At 9:30 PM Wednesday people were coming from all over the area to offer assistance to Heights Christian Church. A large circle of people met to pray at Heights Christian Church. The community is responding to the needs of this congregation. Stay tuned to KKIM throughout the day Thursday for updates on this disaster.

URGENT PRAYER NEED: Heights Christian Church suffered a micro burst Wednesday night which picked up the roof of the church sanctuary and dumped it into another area of the property. A gas leak also resulted. It took the roof and deposited it in the children’s playground and on the education wing. A youth group was on the church parking lot at the time and heard what seemed like thunder but it was the noise of the roof coming off. Praise God that there were no injuries resulted. Pastor Mark identified it as a miracle as no one was injured. Please pray for Pastor Mark Scales and the congregation at Heights Christian Church.

As of 9:00 PM Wednesday night the gas problem has been controlled. However, authorities are saying no one is allowed in the offices and the sanctuary area. The Day Care and Pre-school have been closed through Friday. The timing of the event was a blessing because no one was in the sanctuary at the time of the micro burst.

The “One Nation Under God” praying meeting scheduled for Friday, 7:00 PM at Heights Christian Church at the corner of Comanche and Louisiana is STILL ON. The Prayer meeting will be held in another part of the building.

Please remember the fellowship of believers at Heights Christian Church in your prayers.

WOW! What an evening of fellowship on the softball field last night! We beat the Believers Center, who pounded us earlier in the season,but we won last night 31-17! I went 6 for 6, two triples, a leaping stab of a liner in the last inning, a slide into home and third (safely)It is such a blessing to be able to get out and run and play. We all need an exercise program and to take care of our temples! Some of you know the story of when I was 4 years old I started to wear a leg brace and was told I may never walk and run like the other kids! But PRAISE GOD here I am at 53 playing softball!!! Give THANKS and PRAISE to GOD!!! The Lord gave me wonderful parents and they sought out the best treatment they could! (PS I carry that leg brace in the truck of my car as a reminder, never to give up!!!)

Hello everyone,
We’re getting ready to leave for Bethlehem today with the Saa’ds. Last night we said “see you later” to so many new friends. There are no goodbyes in the body of Christ, so we received and gave lots of hugs and holy kisses! We had a wonderful going away meal after service which lasted to almost 1 AM. It was a five-course meal followed by strong, strong coffee (which I had to decline for sleeping purposes). It was a wonderful occasion. The people here are very gracious hosts and have made us feel very welcome. Time is no barrier and no one seems to be in a hurry to move on to the next event in their lives. They will savor as much time with you as you desire and church services go for several hours and no one looks at their watch while you preach!. I like that. We will leave for Atlanta tomorrow night at 11:30 Israel time. We have a long layover in Atlanta and have a room reserved for the day to rest and shower before an evening flight to Albq. Then we will go through the process of overcoming jet lag again. Ugh! “May God be magnified” (Psm. 70:4).

One special prayer request to add a little intrigue to our trip. About 2000 members of the political organization, Fatah, are meeting in Bethlehem today and tomorrow. They have come from all over the Middle East. They are somewhat moderate compared to Hezbollan and Hamas, but are still hostile to Israel. Bethlehem is located in the West Bank, under the control of the Palestinian Authority. We do not expect any problems but sometimes they are unpredictable. They are moderate “crazies.” Is that an oxymoron? Please pray for our safety. We love you more than words can express. See you soon.

Let me share this with you today……..this is powerful!!!!

Honestly share your weaknesses. Ministry begins with vulnerability. Paul openly shared his failures, his feelings, his frustrations, and his fears. Of course, when you open up your life to others, you risk rejection. But the benefits are worth the risk. Vulnerability is the pathway to intimacy. This is why God wants to use your weaknesses, not just your strengths. If all people see are your strengths, they get discouraged and think, “Well, good for her, but I’ll never be able to do that.” But when they see God using you in spite of your weaknesses, it encourages them to think, “Maybe God could use me!” AMEN AMEN!!!!

Everyday now it seems I get calls and emails from people opening up……WOW! The healing process starts when we open up to the hurt’s in our lives. Fear prevents us from opening up…..but the Good LORD gives us the strength and peace at the same time to open up to our Christian Brothers and Sisters. I encourage you today to open up your life to others of faith and let the healing process begin!!!!!!!

Let us pray………..

Father, use our weaknesses to show your glory. Let our weaknesses cause us to depend on you completely. Let our lives be an example of what You can do through ordinary people who are yielded to you. In the name of Jesus, AMEN!
