Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Thanks for stopping by for a good ol’ CUP!
“I have found that if we go as far as we can, God often opens up the rest of the way.” Isobel Kuhn
Happy Birthday to Pastor Leonard Navarre!!! God Bless you my Dear friend and mentor! We love you!
Here is a note from our Friends in Vadito, NM…..We just love the folks in Northern New Mexico who love FGGAM! Since my days on KKIM FM we built Godly relationships in Northern New Mexico which we just PRAISE and PRAISE GOD!
Hello,
Good wishes from Patrick, Carla and Dom. Sorry we have not made it in to town to visit with you, we had hoped to drop off our gift in person, we hope you received and it was helpful. It has been so cold here that we are staying put, can’t afford to come back to frozen pipes. Dom, his mom and little brother have been staying with us because the water froze at their house due to the pellet stove giving out. Luckily Patrick is very handy so he ordered the part and will fix it this weekend. My poor daughter (Mary) has had a rough week, her car’s heater also broke, again Patrick will work on it too this weekend. To top things off, Carlos (Dom’s) little brother came down with the flu. I ask that you keep her in your prayers. Regards to Sharon, Lord willing, we will see you soon. God Bless You!
PS. Thank you for the Daily Cup, love it!
Thank you Patrick, Carla and Dom! Thank you for the Love offering to FGGAM! Do you remember little Dom? He was on our TV program months ago, with John Taylor. Dom is a walking miracle, having survived a sever asthma attack, and had to learn how to talk and walk again! He went to heaven while he was in a coma. The TV program is posted on our web site www.fggam.org ;
We are praying for on all those situations Patrick, Carla and Dom, we love you all!
By the way pipes continue to freeze and burst in parts of New Mexico with this cold weather, it is to warm up today, let us pray.
Sharon has a favorite saying as to how the Lord moves me with hurting people…….
Sometimes when people are crying for help but won’t come to the door you have to go through the bedroom window.
Some people are hurting so…they scream at the one that is trying to help them…….but you must not give up on them….we must encourage them. Stick wit them. Right now we are helping many hurting people.
Let me tell you a very warm story in the Holy Spirit, last night the Holy Spirit came to me in my sleep and covered me with a very warm blanket.
This is how Bill Brinkworth describes the Holy Spirit………
Just before Jesus faced the ordeal that would lead Him to die on the cross, He promised His disciples that another “Comforter” would be sent to them after He was gone.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;” John 14:16 Also: John 16:26
When I think of “comforter”, I am reminded of the light, down-filled blanket my aunt let me use when we stayed with her in her Maine cabin. It kept me warm during the coolest nights. When I was afraid of the dark, or the bats that somehow got in once in awhile, it was always that comforter that somehow made me feel safe and secure as I snuggled underneath it. Yet, as much as it protected me from what was outside, I hardly even knew it was there; as it was so light.
It has been over two thousand years, and Christ is no longer here to visibly comfort His followers; as He was when He walked this earth. He has kept His Word and left the “Comforter” to help meet the needs of His believers while they are here on earth. Like the security my aunt’s blanket left to whosoever used it; so will the “Comforter” Christ left here on earth, comfort, soothe, strengthen and support a believer.
Yes, last night the warmth of the Holy Spirit made me a bit damp, but I bathed in that dampness and love and here is the message the Holy Spirit gave me, “Give the people My love, love them as I do, encourage them in ME, speak MY life into them, go forth in MY confidence.”
God talks to us as clearly as you are reading this today.
I want to PRAISE GOD here for what HE is doing! People are calling for help. Or the LORD put’s people on my mind to call. This is my testimony to you this day, my report to you on the workings of the LORD!
I cannot share with you all the all the people who the LORD has us working with for HIM, but would you please pray for all those in need of love and forgiveness. And all those who have been hurt so much, and all those that have cancer, Oh LORD so much cancer. People don’t always want their name mentioned. They want to trust in confidence.
One other thing that I am running into is GOSSIP!!!!!!!!! GOSSIP kills! I repeat, GOSSIP kills the spirit of people! GOSSIP is a sin! Christians DO NOT GOSSIP! I MEET PEOPLE IN THEIR 50’S THAT ARE STILL HURT TODAY BY GOSSIP YEARS AND YEARS AGO! Gossip is a great sin.
Sir William Osler said, “Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand.”
The Lord has something clearly at hand for you today, but will you see it?
Jesus taught us in the Sermon on the Mount: “So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” Matt 6:34
There’s a lovey verse in Genesis 24, spoken by Abraham’s servant Eliezer while on a mission to Mesopotamia to find a bride for Isaac. Arriving there, he met Rebekah and explained to her family his mission. In Genesis 24:27, we have this telling phrase: “I being in the way, the LORD led me.”
AMEN AMEN, that is a strong message for all of us, are you in the way of the LORD?
One more testimony from my day yesterday…….
One man and a Bible Met a man today, he fixed the turn signals on my car at Auto Zone we had a very nice talk would not take a tip asked him if he had a Bible l, he said no, got one out of my car to give him, I carry box loads in my trunk, one Bible,one person at a time. Thank you LORD!
Please pray for us today as we tape two TV programs, Dewey and Friends with Sister Mabel Lopez and Brother Dwight Brown!
From Our Daily Bread………
READ: John 16:25-33
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. —John 16:33
I was glad to see the final days of the year draw to a close. It had held so much sorrow, sickness, and sadness. I was ready to welcome January with its very own brass band!
But as the first month of the new year arrived, so did one bit of sad news after another. Several friends lost their parents. My dad’s brother slipped away in his sleep. Friends discovered they had cancer. A colleague’s brother and a friend’s son both died tragically and abruptly. Rather than the sad times ceasing, the new year seemed to bring a whole new tsunami of sorrow.
John 16:33 tells us, “In the world you will have tribulation.” Even God’s children are not promised a life of ease, of prosperity, nor of good health. Yet we are never alone in our trouble. Isaiah 43:2 reminds us that when we pass through deep waters, God is with us. Although we don’t always understand God’s purposes in the trials we experience, we can trust His heart because we know Him.
Our God is a God of abundant love and “neither death nor life. . . nor things present nor things to come [will ever] separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-39). When trouble comes, His presence is His promise. —Cindy Hess Kasper
Swift cometh His answer, so clear and so sweet;
“Yea, I will be with thee, thy troubles to meet;
I will not forget thee, nor fail thee, nor grieve;
I will not forsake thee, I never will leave.” —Flint
Faith is believing that God is present when all we hear is silence.
January 17, 2013. There is a new order for this new day. God is always morphing the Gospel to the generations and nations at hand. Wise is the one who will wait on the Lord. He is new every morning with fresh bread and honey from the comb of His goodness. Just as there was a new order that allowed you to be included, God is now revealing through His apostles and prophets of today the order soon to manifest in the earth. Tribes and nations are coming into God’s kingdom. Continents are being ignited with the fire of His light. Pagan strongholds will melt before the warmth of His love. Grace is flowing like a giant river. Love is abounding. A new order is being birthed.
Ephesians 3:5-6 (MSG) “None of our ancestors understood this. Only in our time has it been made clear by God’s Spirit through his holy apostles and prophets of this new order. The mystery is that people who have never heard of God and those who have heard of him all their lives (what I’ve been calling outsiders and insiders) stand on the same ground before God. They get the same offer, same help, same promises in Christ Jesus. The Message is accessible and welcoming to everyone, across the board.” Ras Robinson
Darlene Quiring sent us this FUNNY BONE!!!!
My neighbor was working in his yard when he was startled by a late model car that came crashing through his hedge and ended up in his front lawn.
He rushed to help an elderly lady driver out of the car and sat her down on a lawn chair.
He said with excitement, “you appear quite elderly to be driving.”
“Well, yes, I am,” she replied proudly. “I’ll be 97 next month, and I am now old enough that …I don’t even need a driver’s license anymore.
“The last time I went to my doctor, he examined me and asked if I had a driver’s license. I told him yes and handed it to him. He took scissors out of the drawer, cut the license into pieces, and threw them in the waste basket, saying,
‘You won’t need this anymore,’ so I thanked him and left!”
LOL LOL LOL!!! Thanks Darlene!
