URGENT! – A bill to remove all limits on abortion in New Mexico is being heard in the House Public Affairs Committee Tuesday, February 3, at 1:30 in room 315. This bill will also prevent any new protections of the unborn to ever become law in our state. Please arrive at the Capitol at 12:00 noon in Room 315 to stand on behalf of the unborn.

Even thou the Domestic Partnership bill (Same Sex Marriage) was a 5 to 5 tie in the Senate Judiciary Committee it is not dead yet. Senator Sanchez did not vote…..We are trying to nail down why. Our reporters and contacts are trying to find out if it is true that Governor Richardson called her to his office before the vote was taken. What is interesting, she did not vote no or yes…..she just left the meeting. Calls to her office were not returned. Also on New Mexico News and Views tonight Sate Rep. Nora Espinosa alerted us of the bill introduced in the House by Rep. Mimi Stewart of Albuquerque. Under her bill which according to Nora was not on the calendar, but will be tomorrow, 10 year olds will be able to have abortions without Parental approval………Doctor’s could be sued if they do not perform abortions. It is all in House bill 256. Stay tuned to KKIM for further details as they develop. I sure am having second thoughts about leaving this week for the National Religious Broadcasters Convention with all this going on. (Please pray for me) But Pastor Mark Tross and Pastor Leonard Navarre will have it all covered. Absolute liberalization of the already liberal New Mexico Abortion Laws. Talking points on this act will follow. This bill is not on the official calendar for Tuesday, however our sources say that it will be heard.

IT TOOK OUR OPPONENTS LESS THAN AN HOUR AFTER THE DOMESTIC PARTNERS VOTE BEFORE THEY HIT US WITH ANOTHER PUNCH!

The New Mexico Version of Freedom of Choice Act which will REMOVE ALL RESTRICTIONS ON ABORTION IN NEW MEXICO NOW AND IN THE FUTURE will be heard in House Public Affairs Committee tomorrow, Tuesday, February 3, at 1:30.

Our adversaries think that once the Domestic Partners bill was voted on that we won’t return to Santa Fe. We have come to Santa Fe twice now to defend our civil rights. NOW IT IS ESSENTIAL WE RETURN TOMORROW TO SANTA FE TO DEFEND THE RIGHTS OF THOSE WHO CANNOT COME TO SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

I have no doubt that the opposition scheduled this so close to the Domestic Partners bill in hopes of wearing us down and discouraging us. But greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.

Please come back=2 0to Santa Fe for the Public Affairs hearing at 1:30 tomorrow. We need to be in the room by noon. After more research in the next few hours I will send an update email to you before our heads hit our pillows for the rest the Lord has for us.

It looks like Bernadette Sanchez will be the deciding vote on this bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Her direct line is 505-986-4267. Right now at 1pm her office has received more calls in favor of the bill than against it.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote Today at 2 PM in Room 321.
Arrive at Room 321 at 11:30 AM to ensure we fill the room (overflow into the Senate Gallery) before our opponents.This is critical. There is a Noon pro-domestic partner rally at the East Side of the Capitol. We must fill the room before they arrive.

Jesus does not use the term day very often in scripture. But the few times he does use it, it provides a delightful formula for upgrading each of ours to blue-ribbon status.

Saturate your day in HIS grace.

“I tell you in solemn truth,” replied Jesus, “that this very day you shall be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43

Entrust your day to HIS oversight.

“Give us day by day our daily bread.” Luke 11:3

Accept HIS direction.

“If you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me.” Luke 9:23

I have to share again with you all just in case if you missed the write up by max Lucado on prayers……………..

Those who pray keep alive the watch fires of faith. For the most part we don’t even know their names. Such is the case of someone who prayed on a day long ago. His name is not important. He is important not because of who he was, but because of what he did.
He went to Jesus on behalf of a friend. His friend was sick, and Jesus could help, and someone needed to go to Jesus, so someone went. Others cared for the sick man in other ways. Some brought food; others provided treatment; still others comforted the family. Each role was crucial. Each person was helpful, but no one was more vital than the one who went to Jesus.
John writes: “So Mary and Martha sent someone to tell Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick’” (John 11:3, emphasis mine).
Someone carried the request. Someone walked the trail. Someone went to Jesus on behalf of Lazarus. And because someone went, Jesus responded.
In the economy of heaven, the prayers of saints are a valued commodity. John the apostle would agree. He wrote the story of Lazarus and was careful to show the sequence: The healing began when the request was made.
The phrase the friend of Lazarus used is worth noting. When he told Jesus of the illness, he said, “The one you love is sick.” The power of the prayer, in other words, does not depend on the one who makes the prayer but on20 the one who hears the prayer.
We can and must repeat the phrase in manifold ways. “The one you love is tired, sad, hungry, lonely, fearful, depressed.” The words of the prayer vary, but the response never changes. The Savior hears the prayer. He silences heaven so he won’t miss a word. The Master heard the request. Jesus stopped whatever he was doing and took note of the man’s words. This anonymous courier was heard by God.
John’s message is critical. You can talk to God because God listens. Your voice matters in heaven. He takes you very seriously. When you enter his presence, the attendants turn to you to hear your voice. No need to fear that you will be ignored. Even if you stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one, it impresses God—and he listens.
Intently. Carefully. The prayers are honored as precious jewels. Purified and empowered, the words rise in a delightful fragrance to our Lord. “The smoke from the incense went up from the angel’s hand to God” (Rev. 8:4). Incredible. Your words do not stop until they reach the very throne of God.
One call and heaven’s fleet appears. Your prayer on earth activates God’s power in heaven.
You are the someone of God’s kingdom. Your prayers move God to change the world. You may not understand the mystery of prayer. You don’t need to. But this much is clear: Actions in heaven begin when someone prays on earth. What an amazing thought!
When you speak, Jesus hears.
And when Jesus hears, the world is changed.
All because someone prayed.

Let us pray………………

For the 140,000 people in New Mexico who are relying on the Food Banks and Food Pantry’s in this state to feed them. Hunger is a growing problem here in New Mexico with a nearly 40% increase since Sept. 09 at some Food Pantry’s like The Storehouse.
