Dear KKIM Family,
How are you today?
Before getting started I want to suggest something to you that has helped me let go of things………..
Chuck Swindoll suggests this in his book on Job………
I have been doing this and it has helped me realize I came her with nothing and will leave this earth with nothing……..
Try this when you pray……….
Psalm down, face down, knees and toes touching the ground, body fully extended, (yes I know that can hurt!),
Pour out your heart in worship to the Lord.
It’s the position Job deliberately took. Complete and humble submission to the Lord.
It has helped me let go of things…………It has made me feel so vulnerable as I lay on the floor stretched out………….
I hope you don’t think I am weird for suggesting this……………Job did it and laid everything out to the Lord.
Try it and let go to the Lord.
Yes, I know that some things can be hard to let go of like hurt, anger……….With the Lord’s help we can let go!
Here are some Good Christian cartoon’s from Dr. Joe Fawcett………..
Concentrate on this Sentence
‘To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.’ When God takes something from your grasp, He’s not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence… ‘The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.’ Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

We are enabled by God, with Karen Rowe
In all things we are enabled by God. Nothing is out of God’s control or abilities. The mere fact that I write to you today is evidence that God will enable us to do what HE calls us to do.
Let us look to God in thanks this morning and remember that it is by God that we are enabled to do all things.
1 Thessalonians 1:3
“We continually remember before our God and Father
your work produced by faith,
your labor prompted by love,
and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Then, we are enabled to do the will of God…
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.”
Today is our day that the LORD has given us…let us rejoice and be glad in it!…Yesterday is gone, tomorrow will come in it’s own today, so today just rest in the LORD in this day that HE has given…we never know which day will be the last to do the task that God calls us to do…
Take that moment today and live those for the Glory of God and you will be blessed by our God, who IS our Father!
We are blessed! Let us live today in Christ, our Jesus…this day that the LORD has made special…and give HIM thanks all along the way!
**If someone asks you, “how long are you going to trust God in this?”
What would be your answer?
(Could you trust God…as long as it takes…and trust God to provide along the way?)
**If someone asks you, “just in case God is slow, or doesn’t come through for you, can I come by and show you my way?”
What would be your answer?
“I have a need that is my hope; however I will trust God for as long as it takes…I will do those things that God asks me to do and God will provide the way.”
“We need God and our faith must remain strong, because God is our only guarantee.”
When God brings us to something, we have a choice…to leap in faith with God or shy away with fear…God does not bring fear! God enables us!
There is no other peace in this world than can match the joy that God gives when we submit to HIS wisdom…all of it…most importantly seeking God first in our life…
Every time we are faced with a faith decision, let us take our time to listen for God in it.
We are not forgotten…just because it seems to be taking longer than we thought it would….Don’t loose faith in God! Don’t loose faith in how much God loves you!
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that HE sent HIS only begotten Son that who so ever believes in HIM shall not parish, but have everlasting life.”
Our work is produced by faith! Our labor is prompted by love! Our endurance is inspired by hope in our LORD Jesus Christ!
Have a blessed day!
Love in Christ,
Karen Rowe
Dear Dewey,
I woke this morning with clarification on my mind in the writing that I sent to you yesterday…”We are enabled by God”
In regards to the below section…This was testimonial, without the details. These were actual questions that were posed at us to create doubt in God’s abilities.
We had asked God, waited on HIS direction, heard HIS still voice and stood by faith to see a miracle in our life, which we did.
This is not to imply that God does not send us help…
…We need to “get in the boat that God sends to rescue us.” God does use people to do his work.
Instead this is meant to encourage us to seek God and know HIS will before we act.
In addition, this is meant to encourage us to stand firm on faith once we know God’s will…unbroken faith in all things and in all ways.
**If someone asks you, “how long are you going to trust God in this?”
What would be your answer?
(Could you trust God…as long as it takes…and trust God to provide along the way?)…With unbroken faith
**If someone asks you, “just in case God is slow, or doesn’t come through for you, can I come by and show you my way?” (A back up plan if God fails)
What would be your answer?
Our answer was by faith and we knew that God was our hope…we were being tempted to doubt our judgment to trust God and God as God…HIS ability, promises, and HIS existence.
I told this person:
“We have a need and our hope is the same; however we will trust God for as long as it takes…We will do those things that God asks us to do and God will provide the way.”
“We need God and our faith must remain strong, because God is our only guarantee.”
Everything is done by God, I am just HIS vessel…I just tell my stories as I am learning…
And my hope is Jesus and because of Jesus we have hope.
God Bless us. Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward men…
In Christ’s name,
Karen Rowe
This from Nik……….
As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.
Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.
But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.
I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened.
My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.
Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.
My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn’t had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.
And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.
An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, ‘Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.
Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.’
May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!
God determines who walks into your life ..it’s up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.’
Father, God bless all my friends in whatever it is that you know they may need this day! And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.
You all have a GREAT weekend!!!! We love you all!!! Please keep us in your prayers! Let us all keep praying for each other and our families. We remember we are here to serve each other!
Love, Dewey Sharon and family
