Please pray for my brother Darly Moede who lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is in the hospital. Thank you.
We have been asked to pray for Dudley Marshall. Please pray that Dudley will return to the Lord.
Dear KKIM Family,
Yesterday Sharon and I had a wonderful time at Immanuel Baptist Church in Milan, NM. That is the Church Garland Moore Pastor’s. Garland is on KKIM Sundays at 9:45 and 5:05 and Mondays at 3:34. I delivered the message at the Church. It is based on James 5.
The night before delivering the sermon I was on the phone with my Uncle Joe and reading scripture to him. he wanted more and more……….we were reading from the Psalms. Then the Lord told me to move to James 5. Joe had me read that to him twice. James 5 tied my sermon right together! It was if when I was reading James 5, James was right beside me writing it, because it is so much like what we are going through right now as a Country. Please read it.
What was even more cool, was that the reading before my sermon tied everything together……..
I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
I talked about not counting on a Political party, not putting faith in a political party, but putting faith in Jesus Christ. If we want real change in this country we will introduce many to HIM, we will do it in peace and love to change hearts through HIM.
Please pray for my brother Darly Moede who lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is in the hospital. Thank you.
Sharon and I were so blessed by meeting so many new friends yesterday. We have been asked to pray for Dudley Marshall. Please pray that Dudley will return to the Lord.
KKIM’s Program Director Bobby Jones mother, Helen who lives in the area stopped by for the service yesterday! It was great to see Helen who is so involved in Prison Ministry and also helps feed the hungry in the area.
After the service Sharon and I went out to dinner with Garland and his wonderful family.
I love small town America and the small Church!
For those of you who read this out of state, and for those of you in New Mexico, you might not be aware, like me and Sharon, that the Coal Mine and Paper Mill 20 miles plus from Grants/Milan area are going great guns! The Paper Mill pipes water from nearby Milan from the old carrot farm that was in the area back in the 40’s. So much great history in the area. A company got a permit last week to start mining again for uranium in the Grants/Milan area.
From Oswald Chambers book, “Faith A Holy Walk”…………..
To the world, faith is often nothing more than a warm, fuzzy notion. Such faith emits a vague, religious aroma but is impossible to define.
To the Christian, however, faith ought always to mean one thing: faith is believing what God says and obeying HIM.
Oswald Chambers makes some painful but necessary observations about our faith.
“Many of us have no faith in God at all.” he says, “but only faith in what HE has done for us. Beware of building your faith on experience. You can never give another person that which you have found, but you can make him long for what you have.”
Typically, it is the very thing we do not want that provides us with the opportunity to entice others with our faith. For it is in the trials and demands of life——-not in ease and comfort—–that our faith in Christ is tested, purified, strengthened. This is the faith that will point a searching world to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Chambers reminds us that faith is in the ability to see as a little child sees. Simply put, we must see God in everything. As we do, we find that the distractions and distresses of earth will fade in exchange for a grateful consciousness of God’s providential hand.
Instead of becoming overwhelmed by our circumstances, we begin to put into practice Philippians 4:8 Whatever is true, noble, right, lovely, admirable—–“if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—-think about such things.”
Soon we are fixing our minds on trust, not panic; love, not hate; purity, not perversion; truth, not lies.
“Faith that is sure of itself is not faith,” Chambers concludes. “Faith that is sure of GOD is the only faith there is.”
The temper of mind is tremendous in its effects; it is the enemy that penetrates right into the soul and distracts the mind from God. There are certain tempers of mind in which we never dare indulge; if we do, we find they have distracted us from faith in God, and until we get back to the quiet mood before God, our faith in Him is nil, and our confidence in the flesh and human ingenuity is the thing that rules. Please remember to read James 5.
Have a great day in the Lord and remember what Mother Teresa’s Mom told her when she left home in 1928 as she became a missionary, “Put your hand in HIS hand, and walk alone with HIM.”
Thank you for your Prayers and Love, Dewey Sharon and Family
Dear KKIM Family,
I just had to share this with you…………
The Holy Spirit is moving in me to share these words with you………..
Faith is believing what God says………..
In all we are seeing in our world today……….
Do we have enough confidence in God’s character to believe what HE says even when it seems to contradict what we see?
