Hello KKIM Family!
First of all with the Radio-A-Thon we have been having for Orphans in Mozambique I am sorry if I have not returned your call or email………right now I have 958 emails. I hope to start working on that today! Thanks for your patience.
“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
1st Peter 5:5-7
St. Augustine prayed, “O Lord, deliver me from this lust of always vindicating myself.” That temper of mind destroys the soul’s faith in God. “I must explain myself, I must get people to understand.” Our Lord never explained anything; He left mistakes to correct themselves.
From Oswald Chambers book, “Faith A Holy Walk”

Please go to www.mykkim.com or www.crossinternational.org Thank you for being in prayer about this effort! Special thanks to all who have given and to all the Pastor’s and leaders of our State who where on the air with us praying and encouraging the KKIM family. We had 30 plus folks on the air with us praying!!!
I have been so blessed working with Tom and Robert Lewis of cross International. This effort has really ministered to me. I have put my name in the hopper to go with Tom next time he goes to Mozambique. Sharon and I are seeking the Lord’s will in this….will you prayer with us?
I got this email and wanted to pass it along. It was the day that we posted a letter from Dr. Joe Fawcett about the passing of his Uncle Joe. Many of you thought it was my Uncle Joe who I write about a lot. Thank you for your love and concern. However, this letter is worth posting that is for sure………..
Dewey,
This is Monika at Ligonier Ministries in Florida. I am sad to say that we don’t talk all that much, but Dewey, I read your cups every day….every day.
The heartfelt sharing of your Uncle Joe’s passing has tears flowing down my face as I write this and I am running a front desk switchboard at the moment filling in for our receptionist who is on vacation.
To you, dear Dewey and to your entire family, please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of your Uncle Joe. He sounds like a person I would have wanted to know…or anyone would have wanted to know. You were blessed to have him in your life…and so was your Aunt Hoppy. Your last lines hold strong to me:
“The death of a loved one draws us closer and closer to the reality of an Eternity that’s always a breath away. It’s also a constant reminder that you and I need to love more deeply and live more purposely… and that life… goes on…”
My Mom is 76 years old and has mid-level dementia and Alzheimer’s. Her health is poor…she has COPD and emphysema from smoking all her life, is on oxygen and uses a CPAP machine at night to help her breathe. She struggled with alcoholism most of her life but has not taken a drink in the past few years. She lives far from me in another state, NY, with her older sister who is 80. I know the time left on this earth for my mom and even her sister (although at 80, her older sister is in better health than my mom) is short. I lost my dad in 1975 when he was only 55 due to diabetes and atherosclerosis so the next member of my family who will likely pass is my mom. I struggle with this, Dewey and try to prepare myself mentally for the time when the call comes from one of my sisters with the news. The sharing of your story helps me to understand that this is not something I will go through alone; not only will I have my family but HE will be here when that time comes, as HE is always here.
Your final words will stay with me Dewey and I will remember them and carry them with me for when I get the call about my mom. I also know that it is we who suffer on this earth after our loved ones pass for they are with our sweet Lord Jesus and what better place is there to be?
Thanks for your heart, Dewey. You are a blessed man more than you realize.
Monika
I Don’t know if this is a true a true story or not…….but it get’s the point across…thanks to our dear friend Merry……..it’s a good one
COURT SETS ATHEISTS HOLIDAYIn Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation of Easter and Passover holidays. He decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews, with all their holidays, while atheists had no holiday to celebrate. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the long passionate presentation by the lawyer, the Judge banged his gavel and declared, ‘Case dismissed!’The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, ‘Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other obse rv ances. Jews havePassover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah…yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!’The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said, ‘Obviously your client is too confused to even know about, much less celebrate his own atheists’ holiday!’The lawyer pompously said, ‘Your Honor, we are unaware of any such holiday for atheists. Just when might that holiday be, your Honor?’The judge said, ‘Well it comes every year on exactly the same date—April 1st! Since our calendar sets April 1st as ‘April Fools Day,’ consider that Psalm 14:1 states, ‘The fool says in his heart, there is no God.’ Thus, in my opinion, if your client says there is no God, then by scripture , he is a fool, and April 1st is his holiday!
Now have a good day and get out of my courtroom!!

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !Since the Pledge of AllegianceAnd The Lord’s PrayerAre not allowed in mostPublic schools anymoreBecause the word ‘God’ is mentioned….A kid in Arizona wrote the attached————————–NEW School prayer :Now I sit me down in schoolWhere praying is against the ruleFor this great nation under GodFinds mention of Him very oddIf Scripture now the class recites,It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bowBecomes a Federal matter now.Our hair can be purple, orange or green,That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise.Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hallMight offend someone with no faith at all.In silence alone we must meditate,God’s name is prohibited by the state. We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King. It’s ‘inappropriate’ to teach right from wrong,We’re taught that such ‘judgments’ do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls,Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,No word of God must reach this crowd. It’s scary here I must confess,When chaos reigns the school’s a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make:Should I be shot; My soul please take!AmenIf you aren’t ashamed to do this,Please pass this on.Jesus said,’If you are ashamed of me,I will be ashamed of you before my Father.’Not ashamed. Pass this on.
What Keeps Us Close To God? From Karen Rowe
Prayer…Constant communion with God keeps us close to God in Spirit, body and soul.
Seeking God for help, coming to God in Praise and Thanksgiving…
Giving our whole heart to God keeps us close to God.
Prayer time is quality time spent with God to get to know HIM.
Time reading the Bible, when we read for understanding God’s will for us, as we seek to know God… keeps us close to God.
Prayer is entering into God’s Holy presence in the name of Jesus! Prayer is talking to God! How much closer can we get?
That depends on how much of our heart is seeking God.
That depends on how willing we are to accept God’s will in our lives.
The more we get to know God, the more we love HIM.
It is then that we can know the love that God has for us…and we can draw closer to God.
A need brings us to our knees.
A need brings us to prayer.
When we were in Colorado , I felt so close to God all of the time, because we depended on God in every turn we made. We needed God more than ever, so we leaned on God completely. It was awesome how God took care of us…Miracle after miracle, God provided.
When we moved back to our house in North Carolina , it was a period of adjustment, which surprised me. God was still providing and we were still depending on God, but something was different. I didn’t sense that same constant closeness to God as I did in Colorado .
The difference was that I was busier here and consumed with missing Colorado; I quit taking as much quality time with God. I still thanked God daily, but I quit thanking HIM for all great things, without complaining on the side.
The sense of urgency of depending on God for all things had lessened, because it was more comfortable and familiar, so the need was not as great. I took back a portion of my life to control, because I could…Those are the times that I didn’t sense God near.
God hadn’t gone anywhere…I just wandered out of that closeness to God as I was consumed with clutter in my life and consumed with missing something else. I appreciated the beauty that God had put before me in NC…the problem was that I was consumed with missing something else, which took away from the whole appreciation of where I was.
We need God everyday! There is no mistake in that…It is more a matter of how much we understand that.
I love this realization quote from a friend to a Pastor, “I guess I’ll just have to trust God.”
The Pastor replied, “Do you think it has really come to that?”
The thing that confused me was that I continued to thank God and praise HIM and still sensed HIS presence…but it was just more fleeting and weaker. I didn’t feel like I was walking in the mist of a miracle…
Maybe that was the difference…My miracle had happened and it was time to rest. A new and different season in my life…
What ever the difference, I see this morning that in order to do great things, we need to depend on God and spend time in prayer…not asking for things…Instead, time praising God and seeking HIS will of how we can serve HIM and serve others.
In God’s grace, good things happen and bad things are dealt with.
In God’s grace we can find peace…Always.
Let us draw nearer to God…God bless us all…God is that BIG!
In Christ’s name,
Karen Rowe
Dear Friends,
I have been meaning to get back to you with a fuller report on the Hollywood Prayer Initiative, thanks for your patience. I had to leave after two days and so heard the report of the initiative sometime later. Those who took part inside the entertainment industry as well as the prayer leaders and intercessors who made up the on-site team were truly ecstatic about the impact of it all. They shared comments like “through the roof”, “everything we wanted and then some” and “bigger and better than we thought”. Praise God for the way He answered all of us who participated, you from afar and those who were on the spot. Here are some specific impacts that were noticed:
The atmosphere of the American Film Market, normally dark and oppressive, was light and free, noticed by believers who have been there for 15 or 20 years.
A number of participants were led to the Lord as believers mingled and shared Christ with them.
International buyers showed enthusiastic interest in the films being produced by the Christian-run companies, and some millionaires expressed their desire to fund faith-based movies now in the pipeline for production.
There was a greater sense of cooperation and unity among the Christian film organizations who have often been competitive and divided in the past.
A good foundation was laid through this initiative. Please continue to pray for His guidance, encouragement and protection over the organizing team and the Christian-led film companies that they will be able to steward this breakthrough effectively, building on it for future initiatives of this kind.
Another encouraging report comes from my colleague, Brian Mills, about his son Andrew whom so many of you have prayed for over the last few weeks. Brian writes “We are glad to be able to say that Andrew has now moved from survival mode into recovery mode, even though he is still in Intensive Care.” He is talking, breathing on his own for longer periods, his infection has cleared, and he is spiritually alive and alert. Please pray for the Mills family as they intensively help Andrew remember things, for his continued recuperation, and for the healing of his spinal cord since there is still no feeling from the mid-back to his feet.
Next week, two important prayer initiatives will take place. The European Prayer Forum will gather prayer leaders from throughout that continent to Bucharest, Romania, November 24-28. The organizer has asked prayer support as follows: 1. Unity and protection for the participants and their families before and during the Forum because of “hard spiritual battle around this Forum”. 2. For dissipation of spiritual darkness and revival in Europe. 3. For active participation of younger prayer leaders and that it will be a time of breakthrough with a visitation of the Spirit and glory of God.
The International Prayer Council Executive Team will meet in the Los Angeles area, November 29-December 3, for an important time of prayer and planning together. We want to be in touch with the Lord and one another so as not to miss new directions He is leading us in. Please pray for His unity, protection, clarity and strong anointing on this time of deliberation.
Thanks so much for your undergirding prayers of faith for these matters. They are deeply felt and appreciated by all concerned.
Warmly in Christ,
John Robb
IPC Chairman
Thank you for being a Blessing to us, Dewey Sharon and family
