My Dear Friends,
I am reading Josh Hamilton’s book, Beyond Belief, For you that are not Baseball fans you may not know Josh’s story…….Great Baseball player that fell to drugs and alcohol…….but rose again through the healing of Jesus Christ and is playing for the playoff bound Texas Rangers.
His story is the story of millions….but, sadly, not enough make it as far as Josh has……….
Josh says in his book that this verse helped turn his life away from temptation of alcohol and drugs……..
James 4:7
Humble yourself before God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Whenever Josh would have thoughts of drinking or doing drugs he would recite this verse in the first 8 seconds…because he was taught in therapy if he thought about doing drugs or drinking, longer than 8 seconds he would probably do so.
I pray that you will read this book because it applies to addictions……..Pornography…. sex………money……….swearing…………drinking…………smoking;………drugs………anger……….
You may be suffering from an addiction………you may have a family member who is hooked……..
Read this book and it will encourage you and inform you. It will help you understand better the way of the addicted.
Too many people who call themselves Christians Drink, swear……look at pornography…….bad addictions are in the Church.

Also as Josh says in his book……….Nothing good happens after midnight!!!
I have been saying that for years…Parents have your kids in by 10pm or at least by midnight. And Parents be home by 10pm……….
Nothing good happens after 10pm anywhere in America…….When we were on our way home from Ryan’s wedding…. late at night we had to stop at a gas station in Santa Fe…….and WOW! The Bad guys are out and looking for trouble………..We saw at least 3 drunk drivers and kids that were just looking for trouble!
Be wise in all that you do…………..
