Very moving service today, The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. I am physically ill…..and emotionally drained after the service. As Pastor Richard Mansfield said, “We need an AWAKENING! to many in the Church are dead!” Let us AWAKE the CHURCH and NATION and end abortion. Here is a report from Laura:
By Laura Rosecrans
Another 1st in my post abortion journey! My husband Dan Rosecrans and I were BLESSED and HONORED to be a part of the New Mexico National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children in Albuquerque New Mexico on September 12, 2015! What a joy for us as The Hub of New Mexico Internet Radio Station and Surrendered Hearts Abortion Recovery Ministries to be a part of such an amazing event!
We give honor and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we give many thanks to the team that put this event together. Nationally of course Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and Pro-Life Action Leaguewere the ones responsible for coordinating with the various cities across the United States that did a memorial at the city level – last count was over 150 services in the nation. Albuquerque’s own Father Stephen Imbarrato, with Priests For Life, led the service at the Tomb of the Unborn Child at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut on Friday evening.
Here in central New Mexico Pastor Richard Mansfield fromNew Beginnings Church in Albuquerque , Pastor Cundiff from Calvary Lutheran Church Rio Rancho and Pastor Dewey Moede with For God’s Glory Alone Ministries were our Pastors on Board as well Father Trieu Vu with Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo, NM was there to bless and pray over the memorial . Pro Life Ministries that sponsored the event werePro-Life Witness ABQ, Protest ABQ, Surrendered Hearts New Mexico, Albuquerque Right to Life and The HUB of New Mexico Internet Radio Station.
The event kicked off at noon with Dan Rosecrans with The HUB of New Mexico Internet Radio Station opening us up as Master of Ceremonies. Pastor Dewey Moede with For God’s Glory Alone Ministriesopened us up in prayer with a heart felt prayer. Pastor Quintin Cundiff from Calvary Lutheran Church Rio Rancho did the Scripture Reading and Reflection.
The special guest speakers were Pastor Richard Mansfield from New Beginnings Church in Albuquerque, Laura Rosecrans with The HUB Internet Radio Station and Surrendered Hearts Abortion Recovery Ministries NM, Betty Eichenseer with ABQ Right to Life and last but NOT least Tara Shaver with Protest ABQ and Pro-Life Witness closed out our speakers.
We then proceeded to the memorial site that has over 3000 crosses representing the aborted children of our state and Father Trieu Vu annointed the memorial with Holy Water and prayed over it. We all then placed flowers on the crosses to give honor to our babies that have been aborted in New Mexico and in our nation along with private prayer and meditation. Our MC, Dan closed us out and Pastor Dewey closed us in prayer.
Those are the facts. Now let me share my heart as a woman who was there to pay honor to her precious son who was remembered today by his family and partners in the pro-life community. My heart was overwhelmed at the 70 + people that participated today. My heart was blessed to hear the heart felt words by the Pastors that were there to show support to the Pro-Life movement – Pastor Dewey, Pastor Richard, Pastor Cundiff and Father Trieu Vu. My heart was full as I listened to the all the speakers who spoke words of life and grace as well as leading the charge for us to NEVER give up and to continue our fight!
My heart was leaping with joy that my precious mother, Carmen Rockwell and two of my precious children, Elisha and Jesse, were standing side by side with me during this event to honor their brother, John, today. And of course my amazing husband Dan Rosecrans, who participated in any way he could by setting up our sound system and being the MC of the event all the while supporting me and encouraging me to speak my heart.
Thank you to Bud and Tara Shaver for you endless work in New Mexico to end abortion and for organizing this event as well as ABQ Right to Life for your tireless efforts and participation in all things Pro-Life!
Thank you to ALL who came out today! Thank you to all who gave up a piece of their Saturday to honor our children who have been lost to abortion. Thank you to Father Mansfield from St. John Vianney Church in Rio Rancho who has set up this incredible and powerful memorial dedicated to remembering our 60 million babies who have died a horrible death in our nation.
Thank you to Father Imbarrato who introduced me to Baby Eve, a baby whose remains were rescued from a dumpster in an alley in the back of an abortion clinic whom God has preserved for almost 20 years as a symbol of remembrance of our children who have been lost.
AND most of all – thank you to our Father God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for shedding HIS blood on the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins and for HIS grace and mercy! God is moving my precious brothers and sisters in Christ! Let us continue and remain strong in the Lord to stand up to the giant of abortion! Let US NEVER FORGET!
My Journey to Jesus and More in this CUP to YOU!
Pastor Dewey Note: From time to time the Lord has directed me to ask certain individuals to share their testimony with us. I thank Robin Prater for answering this call……….God Bless you and yours, Robin. We all can be encouraged by Robin’s story, Amen!
Twenty-five years ago I couldn’t have told you the words to any hymn. As I stood next to my husband in church for the first time, the song I remember hearing was, “Amazing Grace”. It’s the first hymn I learned. Our son was just a baby in my arms when I felt the sweetest feeling come over me. At the time I couldn’t have explained what was happening, but now I know that it was the Holy Spirit. The tears came as I handed my son to my husband and my feet left that pew close to the back row quicker than I could say, no. I walked forward and in that moment I asked, Jesus to be my Savior. My life forever changed on that day. A day just a few weeks away from Thanksgiving.
I found my way back to the pew and my husband stood with tears streaming down his face as he held our son. From the moment my husband and I met, he had been praying. He was praying that I would one day accept Christ as my Savior. He sweetly shared the love of Jesus with me. A girl who knew nothing about faith, who would one day share her faith with her children and be near as they too accepted Christ Jesus as their Savior.
Our spiritual journey is just that. A journey. There is so much to learn. Each day is an opportunity to know Him more. I have learned I must be dedicated and disciplined. Faith must comes first by believing. It’s when I believed, that I learned to see. I mean, really see as though it was the first time. It’s through having faith in Jesus that everything in life comes to have meaning and purpose. When we seek Christ, we will never come up empty. He will fill us with all we need.
Say we meet a new friend we really like. We invite them to coffee. Lunch is next. Pretty soon we are talking everyday. Sharing our deepest secrets. We share our great moments. We treasure time together. Milestones point out what makes are relationship wondrous. It’s giving time to one another. It’s being there always. It’s knowing the other so well, you can finish their sentence. You know what they are going to say before they speak the words. You laugh at the same silliness and you know when the other is in need. You know when tears are about to fall. A sweet friendship such as this doesn’t just happen. It is made. It’s created over time. Friends, this is what our relationship with Jesus should look like.
Remember being a kid and having that one friend who stuck beside you like a brother? You would go somewhere and there was always someone who would say, “Where’s your buddy?” We need to be so close to Jesus that when others see us, they know that He is present with us! Our steps should be in tune with His. Our words His and our actions a reflection of Him.
When I married my husband, my mom gave me a Bible as a wedding gift. It was my first Bible. I couldn’t have shared with you one single scripture. I didn’t know where to begin. In church when the pastor would say, “Please open your Bibles and turn to John 3:16”, my husband would help me find it. Yes, John 3:16 is the first verse I ever memorized.
I started reading. It wasn’t everyday that I read. I would pick up that Bible and just turn to a random page and read. Over time that reading turned to daily opening my Bible. The more I read, the more I yearned to read. This Living Word was feeding my soul. It wasn’t just a book any longer. Not just a wedding gift, but part of my life. The pages came to life. The words were sweet nectar to my lips as I read them out loud. There are days I will read for a few minutes and others that I can simply remain in His Word for hours.
If you could see my desk now, there are four different Bibles sitting next to me. There are study Bibles next to my bed. Bibles are everywhere in our home. This, coming from the girl who grew up in a home without a Bible. If I’m honest and I must be. There have been times where those Bibles have collected dust. Times along my journey where I left my first love. Praise Jesus, there is no dust today. Oh friend, how His holy Word is wisdom for my weary soul. It gives guidance and love. Discipline and strength. I guess you could say it’s a love map. Today, I simply can’t get enough of this love map.
Soon, I was reading the Bible to my children. I was sharing the stories with them that I had learned. This newbie in Christ wanted nothing more than for my children to fall in love with the Word of God. As I read scripture to them, scripture I thought I had known, I learned even more. It’s amazing to pick up the Living Word of God and read a scripture you have read a hundred times and still gain more insight than ever before. There is always something new to learn. Something new to share.
The more I seek Him, the more of Him I desire. The more of Him I desire, the more of Himself He shows me. The deeper I dive in, the more my perspective changes. Jesus is all about change and creating. I didn’t have to be all cleaned up before He accepted me. I didn’t have to change my ways before He entered my heart. All I had to do was surrender to Him and accept Him. He does the rest. Once He enters the heart of man, we are remade. We are born again. The old is gone and the new is being created. Jesus is a miracle worker. If He can love a sinner such as me and move me to follow Him, anything is possible. He didn’t look at my past and say, “I don’t want her”. He looked at me, His daughter, and said, “Come to Me, sweet daughter, just as you are. I created you to love me. Let Me take your life and show you My greatest mercies.”
I look back in my life when I didn’t know Jesus and I can see over and over again times where He was leading me to Him. He was making a way for me to see Him. We are on a divine appointed journey. He has that perfect and exact moment where we meet and all in life changes. He designs us with a desire for more than what this world can give. It’s up to us to seek Him and to know Him.
Friends, He is right before you. He has been waiting and anticipating your meeting. He has been praying for you to come and unlock the door to your heart. May today be that day your life changes forever. I don’t have all the answers. There is so much to learn. But one thing I do know. My Jesus is real!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:4-5
“Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”
Matthew 6:33
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me. All day long I put my hope in You.”
Psalm 25:4-5
CAMPMEETING 2015
under the TENT
HAYNES PARK, RIO RANCHO
SEPTEMBER 10-12
GUEST MINISTER: Phillip Slaughter
Written by Barbara Gould of Emmanuel Ministries International
Camp meeting is a time when God brings people together to display HIS LOVE and HIS POWER!!!
It is a time when the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is revived and also a time when those who do not Jesus Christ get the opportunity to see and experience God’s awesome love, mercy and grace. There are healings and miracles. People come to the God of love, receive His love and peace and actually give their lives to Him!!!
Because of this, there is rejoicing in the city … our cities … our state and nation. It is a ripple effect. People who experience the reality of the love and power of Jesus Christ want to share it with others. Campmeeting is a medium to help spread revival fires .
Two things happen: the Church is revived and people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ!!!
This kind of thing happened with Phillip in the Book of Acts. The result was “great joy in that city.” It happens today. We saw it with Brother Oral Roberts under the tent, Brother Shambach and many others. In these end times, God wants to move in that way again.
Evangelist Phillip Slaughter resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma and carries a strong revival anointing as he ministers in song and the Word. He travelled with Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin for several years with the RHEMA Singers and Band. In that capacity, Phillip was thoroughly trained to flow in his calling as he ministered unto the Lord and then to the people. Holy Spirit has chosen Evangelist Phillip Slaughter for such a time as this to declare the love and power of Jesus Christ during our 2015 Campmeeting. URGENT PRAYER and Remembrance For Aborted Children
Dear FGGAM Family let us be in constant prayer…………
From Grace Cordova in Albuquerque……………….
Dewey,
If you can please send an urgent prayer request for one of my husband’s colleagues, Randall Anderson, of Van Buren Middle School.
Turns out Mr. Anderson urgently needs a heart transplant due to an undiagnosed infection from last year. Mr. Anderson has been on medical leave since last year, and as of this morning, his condition is not improving. Mr. Anderson has been air lifted to Utah and his wife is by his side, though she is running low on funds and is having a hard time paying for a motel near the hospital.
Mrs. Anderson sent word to his colleagues at Van Buren M.S. that Mr. Anderson remains dedicated to his students and colleagues and thinks of them and his students often and wonders what they’re all up to. She also mentioned that the school has been and continues to be a source of strength and hope for both she and Randall as they are going through this daunting journey.
Mrs. Anderson has been by her husband’s side as she is his only source of encouragement and strength. They have no children and no extended family. The nice folks at Van Buren are taking donations to support Mrs. Anderson and ensure she can remain near her husband during this difficult time.
Prayers for both Randall Anderson and his devoted wife are so dearly needed right now. And if anyone has the ability to make a donation, please have them either email or private message me and I will connect them with the correct administrative folks at Van Buren so they can do so.
Dewey, it’s moments like this when I must kneel in gratitude for the many blessings we have! God bless these lovely people. And may He restore Mr. Anderson’s health and grant this couple many more years of bliss! With God, all things are possible!!
In Jesus’ name!
Thank you!
Grace
We also have this request from Ryan Day in Albuquerque to pray for his brother Austin Day and Janet Cairo. They were involved in a very serious car accident in Austin, Texas. Both Austin and Janet were seriously injured.
Let us be in constant prayer for Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and Austin and Janet.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 teaches us……Pray without ceasing

Pastor Richard Mansfield, New Beginnings Church to speak at memorial site as part of National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, Saturday, September 12
Albuquerque, NM– Rio Rancho will be the site of a memorial service for unborn victims of abortion on Saturday, September 12. The sponsors of this local event are Surrendered Hearts New Mexico, Albuquerque Right to Life, The HUB of New Mexico Internet Radio Station, For God’s Glory Alone Ministries, Pro-Life Witnessand Protest ABQ. The service, part of the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, will take place from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 1001 Meteor Ave, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87144.
This event comes in the wake of series of undercover videos showing top officials at Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain, scheming to sell by body parts of aborted babies for profit.
“When Planned Parenthood looks at the broken body of an aborted baby, they see a commodity they can exploit for profit. But we see a tiny brother or sister who deserves to be mourned for and solemnly buried,” said Bud Shaver, Executive Director, Protest ABQ, one of the organizers of the Day of Remembrance in Albuquerque. “Visiting the places where these children are memorialized cuts through all the rhetoric surrounding abortion. We will never know these unnamed victims of abortion, but we will never forget them—or stop fighting to restore legal protection to unborn children”
The Day of Remembrance is being organized by three national pro-life groups— Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League—to humanize the unborn victims of abortion by raising awareness of their burial places and other sites dedicated to their memory. The bodies of tens of thousands of aborted children have been retrieved from trash bins, landfills and other locations and buried at gravesites across the country.
At AbortionMemorials.com, visitors can learn the stories of how many of these children were killed, how they were found, and the details of their burial. The website also lists hundreds of memorial sites dedicated to the victims of abortion throughout the United States.
All are welcome to attend this event and families are encouraged to attend with their children. Please also feel free to bring flowers to lay at the memorial site at St John Vianney Church.

How do you want to be remembered? By Pastor Leonard Navarre
It is my prayer for these next few moments together that we will be encouraged yet more importantly challenged to live more faithfully for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you remember the first murder in the Bible? Yep, Cain killed his brother Abel. Even though thousands of years have gone by, Abel still speaks. In Hebrews 11:4 it says, “and by faith he (Abel) still speaks even though he is dead.” It is remarkable that this obscure shepherd has left such a lasting legacy, even for us today.
Have you ever though about YOUR legacy. How will you be remembered? Just like Abel all of us will leave a legacy. No matter how poor or isolated we think we are, when we die someone will remember. How will you be remembered?
The inventor of dynamite was shocked to read his own obituary while he was STILL alive. This happened in 1888 and he really didn’t die until 1896. It was the inventor’s brother that died and the inventor of dynamite obituary appeared by mistake. But this journalistic mistake left a profound impression on the inventor. He was shocked to realize that he was going to be remembered as the “Dynamite King”. His discoveries in the field of explosives had revolutionized warfare and greatly enhanced man’s ability to kill and destroy. The inventor was stunned to think people would remember him that way. That’s not the way he saw himself or how he wanted to be remembered. So, it is at this point that the inventor decided to rewrite his legacy by rewriting his will. He stipulated that his vast fortune was to provide endowments for those who had made the world a BETTER PLACE to live. These prizes were to be awarded in five different categories, physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and peace. A sixth was added later, economics. This rewriting worked. We know these endowments as “Nobel Prizes”. For you see, the inventor, known as the Dynamite King was Alfred Nobel. These nobel prizes eclipse his legacy as the Dynamite King.
How do you want to be remembered? Robert Burns, the Scottish poet, one wrote, “oh would some gift the Giver give us, to see ourselves as others see us. It would from many a blunder save us and many a foolish notion”.
Even more important than how others see us, however, is the need for each of us to see ourselves as God sees us.
Someday unless the Lord Jesus returns we too will die many without any warning at all. Friends and neighbors will stand in line to pay their final respects. Our earthly body will return to dust and our spirit will return to God who gave it. After the funeral our survivors will go through our things. It is sad, but true, but some of those things that we treasured will be taken to the dump or given to charity. Other “things” we had will be parceled out to family and friends. We will be gone but not totally forgotten. Every time someone comes across something we had our legacy will instantly come to mind.
We often hear it this way: “I bought this car from the guy who killed himself”, “that house once belonged to the banker who stole all that money”, “I got this painting from the town drunk”. This may not be fair, but that is still the way it is. So how do you want to be remembered? Right now each of us is writing our legacy. We living as those who remain will remember us. Look at those in the Bible, Mary, Jesus once cast seven demons out of her. Hey, look, at Simon of Cyrene, he was the one who carried Jesus’ cross. This Paul, the one who persecuted the church, he was transformed and became an inspired apostle who wrote more letters in the Bible than any other man. Get the picture.
We will be remember. It is not to late to really start living a life that leaves a tremendous legacy of love, hope and peace. What will they write on your headstone on your grave? How will you be remembered. Abel has been gone for thousands of years…but his legacy of faith lives on.
So I am asking you, “how do you want to be remembered”.
