Dear family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Last night was a very emotional one at the Moede house. We received news that two best friends have cancer. Friends who have impacted my life for a lifetime. You make friends and then you make friends that impact you for God, for eternity. I took my first job in Christian radio in 1986, I had been working in secular radio since 1978. When I went to work at WFRN Radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana it was such a gigantic blessing. I met friends like Jan Moore the wife of Owner/GM Ed Moore, the station was founded by Ed’s Dad and it was still owned by the family when I went to work there. Jan was like a second Mom to me, she had worked in sales before at the station and when I was named manager she was a great help to me. I never will forget the day she came into my office and told me she would help me all she could and she would even make sales calls for me. Not only was Jan a great support in sales, but she taught me much about the love of Jesus Christ. Jan is an excellent example of serving others, not expecting to be served. The first thought that comes to mind when I think of Jan daily, is just that, serving others , greatness comes as we carry a towel and washbasin into every circumstance and relationship in life. That also fits one of my other best friends I met at WFRN, Bob Dawson, Bob also brings that towel and washbasin with him into every relationship. Bob is the bookkeeper at WFRN, boy did he help me so much in my first managers job, I made about every mistake a new manager could make! Bob helped me so much with his Godly counsel during this time, he helped me grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ, just like Jan did. Jan was diagnosed yesterday with liver cancer and Bob was diagnosed with prostrate cancer late last week. Please pray for healing over Jan and Bob.
As you can tell I have such wonderful memories of my time at WFRN Last night on the phone me and Bob laughed so much recounting the many happy times at the radio ranch! I had not laughed that much in a long, long time. Joy in the Lord. Bob and I said to each other that the world just doesn’t give us much to laugh at anymore! We have to create our own laughter! Amen! Joy in the Lord and visiting with friends and family. My time at WFRN set the stage for the Lord putting me into For God’s Glory Alone Ministries. The experience built me a further solid foundation in our Lord that started back in Windom, Minnesota with my Mom and Dad and extended family and my wonderful Sunday School teachers.
This morning I awoke in sadness thinking of cancer, cancer that took the life of my Mom at age 64, just after losing Dad to a heart attack. Cancer that evil disease that is not of God. I got to thinking of many of the fun times with Mom and Dad, with all my friends at WFRN…….and being so ever grateful to the Lord for putting the people he has into my life! Teaching me to bring a towel and wash basin into every circumstance and relationship in life.
I look back and see clearly the training the Lord has and is giving me in my life. I look back and see all the lovely faces of the people who have helped me become a better person in our Lord, I am so ever grateful to one and all, mostly to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray you take time in this busy world to sit back today and think of all the people God has sent into you life to help you, and thank the Lord for everyone in your life that has brought you the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 13:5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his
life as a ransom for many … He came to serve and to give his life as a ransom …
We all know these scriptures….but do we live by them?
I am so very grateful that my Mom and Dad did and that my wife Sharon does and my best friends, like Jan and Bob do.
That’s it for the CUP today, I am in a very reflective state right now with the Lord……..I have to get back at that.

Pictured above is our dear neighbor Norm Merlock, who has helped me become a better Preacher, by supplying me with Godly wisdom, teachings and sermon material. Norm is in his early 80′s and I pray that the Lord will grant me as much youthfulness in my 80′s as He has Norm. Norm is covered by the favor of God. He is very active in the Calvary Church here in Albuquerque. We are so very thankful for Norm and his lovely wife Kathy. I love all those who have helped me and Sharon. You all know who you are. We always do not get to thank you! We live in a wonderful neighborhood, people who share and pray for each other, we have our problems like all neighborhoods, like two homes broken into in the last 3 months, but we stick together in prayer. It would be a better world if ever neighborhood was like ours! I am always shocked and then sad, but people saying they don’t know their neighbors is to common. I have helped a lady in the past, who has lived in the same neighborhood in Albuquerque for almost 15 years and does not know her neighbors. I get this sort of thing way too many times. Please shine your light in your neighborhood, revival starts in our homes and neighborhoods! Amen!

For God’s Glory Alone celebrates 2 years in our service to our Lord as of Sept. 1st. and we are celebrating His Glory! As Pastor Barry Dickens, one of my mentor’s who has helped me become a better man of God (former Pastor at Los Alamos, NM Methodist Church and Supt. for Eastern NM) taught me years ago it is okay to boast, as along it is in the Lord!,and that is what we are doing here at FGGAM! Celebrating the greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ! For God’s Glory Alone! 2 Corinthians 10:17-18: But, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord. What an awesome praise report and testimony on the second anniversary of For Gods Glory Alone Ministries. I have witness the transition for Dewey and Sharon Moede from KKIM to stepping out into complete faith to start a ministry with nothing more than trust in our Lord Jesus to stand on.
Dewey is a man that has a clear understanding through experience of what it means to stand when you have done everything to do and knowing that God is not late in His promises. The Moede couple has a heart for mankind and is taking the world one person at a time by changing their life for God. There are so many testimonies of healings of physical bodies, marriages and the deliverance of depression.
There really are no words that can explain the outreach through the website and the radio, who could have ever predicted it accept that God told him to go that way. There is no such thing as being a small ministry when God is the director of it.

A Prayer To Renounce Fear
Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, The Moody Church
Father, help me to agree with You that I am not subject to fear, but
am a child of Your love.
I reject the fear of the future, for I believe that the future is in Your
hands.
I reject the fear of evildoers, for Your Word says, “Though an army
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise
against me, yet I will be confident…For He will hide me in His
shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of
His tent; He will lift me high upon a rock.”
I renounce the fear of rejection, for David wrote in Your holy
Word, “For my father and mother have forsaken me, but the Lord
will take me in.”
I renounce the fear of witnessing about Christ, because as Your
Word warns, “The fear of man brings a snare.”
Therefore, I choose to fear You more than I do any human being. I
affirm, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do
to me?”
I renounce the fear of losing my property and possessions, for
Your Word says, “I have learned in whatever situation I am, to be
content…I know the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance
and need; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I renounce the fear of Satan, for Your Word says he has already
been conquered “by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our
testimony.”
I renounce the fear of saying “goodbye” to a terminally ill loved
one, for Jesus promised, “Let not your heart be troubled…In My
Father’s house are many rooms; I go and prepare a place for you
and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will
take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.”
I renounce the fear of death, for I affirm with the Apostle Paul,
“For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Thank You for the
promise, “death is swallowed up in victory.”
I renounce the fear of martyrdom, for Your Word declares, “Do not
fear those who are able to kill the body, but fear Him rather who is
able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
I renounce the fear of loneliness, for we are promised, “Our
fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” And
also, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” And again, “Peace I
leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do
I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be
afraid.”
I renounce the fear of intimidation, for Jesus said, “If the world
hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you. In the
world you will have tribulation, but take heart; I have overcome the
world.”
I renounce the fear of false accusations. I accept this promise,
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and
utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on My account. Rejoice
and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they
persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
I renounce the fear of being treated unjustly, for of Jesus we read
that, “When He was reviled, He did not revile in return, when He
suffered, He did not threaten but continued entrusting Himself to
Him who judges justly.”
I renounce the fear of radical Islam and its desire to intimidate us.
I renounce the fear of political correctness.
I declare that “The truth shall set me free,” and I choose to live as a
free person in Christ Jesus. I shall speak and not be silent.
I renounce the fear of curses, either known or unknown, spoken
against me and my family.
I renounce the fear of manipulation and control.
I renounce the fear of being involved in public or political activity.
I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord of all.
I submit to Jesus as Lord of every area of my life. Jesus Christ is
Lord of my home. Jesus Christ is Lord of my relationships. Jesus
Christ is Lord of my city. Jesus Christ is Lord of my nation. Jesus
Christ is Lord above all false gods and religions. Jesus Christ is Lord
over all the nations of the Earth.
I commit myself to be a living witness to Jesus Christ as Lord. I am
not ashamed of His cross. “God forbid that I should glory except in
the cross of Christ.”
I ask now that You will fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and pour
upon me all the blessings of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Grant
me the grace to understand the truth of Your Word clearly, and to
apply it in every area of my life. Give me words of hope and life, as
You promised. Open and bless my lips so that I can speak to others
with authority and power in Jesus’ name. Give me the boldness to
be a faithful witness for Christ. Give me a love for all people, and a
passion to share the love of Christ with them.
Grant that I shall carry Your cross as a badge of honor.

Then all of a sudden, Norm is calling on the phone saying he has a prayer for me on fear!!!!!! WOW! GOD AT WORK!!!! AMEN!!!!!!

Hi, Dewey!
Congratulations on two years with For God’s Glory Alone Ministries! I honestly can’t believe it’s already two years. I recall sitting down with you in the Citizen office just a few weeks before you launched the ministry and I remember you being excited and unsure at the same time – kind of like walking in a pitch-black room not knowing for certain where you’re going until you see that light outlining a doorway. Needless to say, you not only found the “Light” but you walked right through the doorway into something that God had planned just for you and those who are working with you. I try to read The Cup each day, but I confess that sometimes deadlines preempt The Cup. Still, I try to catch up. It is a great spiritual lift each day. You are reaching people for God through your ministry. While I don’t know most of the people you share about in The Cup, I think I’ve gotten a feel for them. Certainly, I’m excited to read about current and former Windom area folks you write about, and I love your jottings about your hometown. I won’t find anyone who is more in step with his hometown – even though you’re a half a country away – than you, Dewey! Keep up the good work! Your rewards are waiting Above!

Dave has been such an awesome supporter of FGGAM, by giving us the opportunity to write a devotional column in the Windom newspaper and also keeping the hometown folks appraised as to what is going on here at FGGAM. We are just very thankful for Dave’s love. Yesterday on our Radio program, “This is the World we live in” on KDAZ AM730 on line athttp://www.am730.cc every Monday at Noon, Paul Holt and I discussed CHAOS.
I don’t want to start your new week with a downer, but we are to bring the truth forward and I must share with you what the Lord shows me to share with you! AMEN!
I know this will not be popular with many, but our President has lost all credibility. This man has no integrity, everything from abortion to the day by day scandals. Our government is in chaos.
It is important that you do not get caught up in this chaos and do not turn to the left or the right and keep your eye’s focused on Jesus Christ.
You cannot do what one Preacher told me a few months back, “Well my Church will just stay on our little corner and mind our own business.”
Oh my, oh my! We are to occupy until our Lord returns, be Salt and Light, carry out the Great Commission! We are to stand in the gap for God.
Ezekiel 13:5 You have not gone up into the gaps or breeches, not built up the wall for the house of Israel that it might stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.
Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.
Let that not be said of us.
God’s Word is the bread of life.
John 20:31 These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
If the Word of God did not have God’s stamp of approval, it would have fallen into obscurity long ago. But it still rings with the power of God to accomplish it’s purpose, to lead people to life in Jesus.
We have so many ungodly things going on in our government.
In the midst of CHAOS we are to help bring others to Jesus Christ, to make the Kingdom visible to the darkness.
2 Kings 15:5 Then the Lord struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death.
Why did God strike Amaziah with leprosy? Second Chronicles 26: 16-21 tells us that when the King became strong, he became proud and attempted to usurp the duties of a priest. God immediately made him a leper. Pride has terrible consequences. Pride knows Chaos.
2 Kings 15:16 because they did not surrender, therefore he attacked it.
As God prepares to judge His rebellious people, like many here in the United States with the wicked legislation, laws we pass as a country, our behavior is ungodly!, God usually first gives His people a taste of judgement to come. yes, we are experiencing that right now in the United States with CHAOS. God is giving us a further opportunity to repent. But Israel ignored His warnings.
Read all of 2 Kings 15.
I pray this over all of us this morning…………..
Nevertheless, I am continually with You;
You will hold me with Your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalm 73: 23-26
Pastor Paul encouraged all on the radio program yesterday to pray over your family everyday, lay hands on your wife everyday as you pray over her. Pray that you and your family do not get caught up in the CHAOS! Pray like you never have prayed before!

Memorial Day is a day that we set aside remember those who have fallen in battle to establish and then defend the rights that we often take for granted in America.Thesefreedoms are not free but were bought and paid for by the blood of American men and women who loved this country more than their own lives and by the blessings of God. You see, America has the greatest army on earth, yet we cannot afford to rely on our own strength, might, and power and reject Gods principles found in the Bible. If we are to continue to enjoy the freedom we hold dear, we must return to the Lord and honor Hiscommandments.
In Psalms 33:16-20, we read, No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. ( NKJV)
In the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin referenced Psalms 127:1 which states, Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. ( NKJV) How long can we stand by and violate Gods commandments; how long can we continue to murder 1.2 million unborn children per year; how long can we reject the principles of God and continue to still have God guarding our city, guarding our country? We need to turn back to God.
The church for the last 100 years has sat on the sidelines and remained silent, withdrawn from society. Weve sat by while the idea that God created the heaven and the earth was replaced by the idea that we happened by chance and that our ancestors were monkeys who hung in a tree. We stood by while prayer, the Bible, andthe Ten Commandments were removed from schools.We sat by while the sexual revolution changed boundaries and the perception of what is acceptable conduct between a man and a woman or even a man and a man or a woman and a woman. We sat by while over 55,000,000 perborn children were slain by abortion. We stood by while radical homosexual activists have worked to undermine traditional marriage. It is time that we stand by no more! It is time that we rise up and take back our cities for God! It is time that we rise up and take back our states and country for God!
Proverbs 11:11 proclaims,By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. (NKJV)
Proverbs 14:34 states, Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people. (NKJV)
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV)
1 Timothy 3:15 – I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (NKJV)
God has called us to be the light of the world. He has called us to be the salt of the earth. He has called us to be obedient to His commandments. We need to stand. We need to be obedient. We need to let our light so shine that men may see and glorify our Father God in Heaven.
Our Puritan forefathers dreamed of building a city set upon the hill. Ronald Reagan spoke about the city set upon a hill. We need restore this nation to be once again that city set upon a hill.
There was one time in America when the church was the pillar and ground of truth. There was one time in America when the ministers preached a sermon and it impacted the nation. There was one time in America where ministers preached election day sermons and called for their people to vote for Christians to rule over them, for people who would uphold Biblical values. We need to reclaim that place in society.
