Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank you so much for stopping by for a CUP!!!

God is everywhere……….My payer is that you will realize that God, all of God is everywhere………You cannot hide from God, you cannot hide your problems from God you cannot hide your sin from God.

We read in Jeremiah, “Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I can not see him? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord” Jer.23: 23-24 God is here rebuking the prophets who think their words or thoughts are hidden from God. He is everywhere and fills heaven and earth.

God’s omnipresence is beautifully expressed by David…………..

Wither shall I go from your Spirit?
Or whither shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
Ps 139: 7-10

You may think you are hiding from God, but he sees you even with the lights out!

There is nowhere in the entire universe, on land or sea, in heaven or in hell, where one can flee from God’s presence.

I know that some of you, maybe many of you are discouraged this morning.

The Lord knows right where you are at, He knows the present state of your heart, mind and soul.

He will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert for you! AMEN PRAISE GOD!

You can hang your hat on that!!!! Hallelujah!!!

God Bless you Rick! Thanks for the note! Your testimony how God and Family helped your son end his addiction to heroin was an AWESOME message. We need more people like you and Margaret to have the Godly courage to stand up and tell the story. This problem of heroin is growing and it is going to take more people like you to STOP IT! This problem has no zip code! It is in the Church and in Christian homes. God has blessed us with Dewey and Friends TV program to bring Salt and Light to the World! Yesterday I got a call from Jose Vasquez a Christian leader here in the state of New Mexico saying that many in Santa Fe miss KKIM FM (KKIM FM was replaced by a Spanish station) and me on the radio. Jose said that many are in mourning the loss. I am very humbled by Jose comments, That time in my life was my best time ever in Radio and it has now put me where I am at for God…it was a season and God moved me out to FGGAM. As time goes on I am getting more phone calls not less! The program with Rick Griffin is a continuation of my radio work. I encourage you to watch Dewey and Friends on KAZQ CH 32 and on line at www.kazq32.org Saturday nights at 6pm. I know it is not like being on the radio everyday at 4:30 but I also now have podcasts posted at www.fggam.org and will be adding more. Let us be thankful for all the seeds that were planted over all of Northern New Mexico by KKIM FM over the last 5 1/2 years. When I was talking to Jose yesterday the Lord gave me the vision of seeds being blown over all of Northern New Mexico by KKIM FM. Let us be thankful for that time. Those seeds are still bearing fruit to this day and will for days to come! AMEN PRAISE GOD! This also should tell us when a Ministry opportunity comes upon us we must grab it and do God’s Work, as we do not know how long that season will be.

I say again, let us be thankful to our Lord for the season we had with KKIM FM! PRAISE GOD!

Some don’t know when the season God called them to is over, and He is moving them into a new season. I just experienced that, and still am. I dragged me feet too long! This is why Godly discernment, Godly wisdom, and a close relationship with our Lord is so important and closer advisers.

I have been sharing with many my thoughts on Godly Discernment. It will save your life!

Yesterday when I was doing the news for KAZQ I talked about discernment and wisdom.

Please read Proverbs 1: 18-24. What is lacking in many Christians is discernment and wisdom. With a personal relationship with Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you are filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our messenger and comforter. I could not do what I am doing without Godly discernment. I say Godly discernment, because there is other discernment in the world that is full of nothing noise. You can weed through all the nothing noise of the world and know right from wrong with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Part of this also is God’s Word becoming part of you. I have been taught, and now I teach that when you read God’s Word each day it is absorbed into you heart, soul, and mind and you become Christ like.

The Power of a Discerning Spirit

Read | Hebrews 5:11-14

In a world filled with endless sources of information and opinions, believers need to develop a discerning spirit. Otherwise, how will we know what is true? Much of what we see and hear is based on a worldly perspective that is influenced by Satan, the Father of Lies. Deception is found even in the religious realm: cults mix lies with enough truth to make some people consider them legitimate Christian institutions.

The only way believers can guard against deception is to ground themselves in God’s Word. The more time you spend filling your mind with the Lord’s thoughts, the more discerning you will be. However, just knowing biblical truth isn’t enough. You must put what you learn into practice so that it becomes more than head knowledge.

The goal is to let God’s Word become such an integral part of your thinking that it guides all your decisions. Even if the situation you’re facing isn’t specifically addressed in the Bible, scriptural principles provide the needed wisdom for every choice. In addition, the Holy Spirit was given to each believer as a Helper, whose job is to guide you into all the truth (John 14:26; 16:13). However, your responsibility is to put God’s Word into your mind so that He can bring it to your remembrance. If you neglect the Word, you’ll lack discernment.

What are you allowing into your mind? Is Scripture high in your priorities? Unless you’re careful, worldly thinking will overpower spiritual discernment. It’s difficult to keep God’s perspective in the forefront if you spend two or three hours in front of the television and only ten minutes in the Bible.

For the last several months, my heart sinks deeper when I pick up the morning newspaper. My discernment picks up of the anger and sorrow in our world. The newspaper here, the Albuquerque Journal does a fairly good job of covering our state and city. I now take the paper and pray over it, for the light of Jesus Christ to shine in our city and state, and nation. I also pray that FGGAM continues to be a blessing to, one person at a time, one person at a time. We can not just pray…..we have to walk and talk for Jesus Christ and reach out to others. We have to be a people that takes Godly action.

Today I am praying for you to have more Godly discernment.

Yesterday I was able to talk to three of my hero’s in life! My Dear, Dear friend Paul Dokken in South Dakota,(by the way Paul and his wife Rene are supporters of FGGAM, which we thank our Lord for) Jack Kelly and Ron Meyer of Windom, Minn my hometown. You see these three men have made a huge impact on my life that I carry with me to this day. Paul and I went to school together and we reconnected just a few years ago and he has helped me grow in the Lord, he has become a prayer warrior for this Ministry and my family, he and Rene. Jack Kelly was a Coach back home. Jack needs a kidney, please pray for this man and also his wife Marilyn who has cancer. He was not only a Coach, but a teacher, a leader.he still is! He taught lessons to all of us that knew him and we carry that with us today. I will never forget back in the 60’s when a little boy fell into a gravel pit back home and the Fire Dept. was called, My Dad and Jack served together of the Fire Dept, and I can still see the fireman and Jack still digging at that gravel trying to get to that little Van Norman boy. The little Van Norman boy did not make it, but that scene has stuck with me to this day…..to help people, to be of service in a seconds notice, to have a Fireman’s mentality when it comes to serving God, be on call 24/7. be a man of Godly action. Ron Meyer was football coach back home and I served as his assistant. I served him as Eqt. Manager, Locker room attendant, and trainer. Coach Meyer taught me much about tough love. He taught me much about dedication to the task. He trusted me with much, I would even drive his car. I told Ron yesterday that I still remember him introducing me at the Sr. Athletic banquet and calling me Ron Meyer Jr. That touched me so and made me weep tears of joy. I have been so blessed with all the Godly people in my life from the day I was born to where I am at now. Take time today and think back on those who have touched your life in a Godly way, and thank the Lord for them and then strive to serve others, the way you have been served.

Make that call today to someone who has impacted your life, years ago I called my 6th Grade Teacher Clara Rasche to tell her how she helped me so, she passed on shortly after that call. Do not wait any longer to make that call of love.

We just received word overnight on the passing of Pastor Jim Montoya’s Mother-in-law, Amelia. We are praying for you Pastor Jim and Margaret! Our prayers are with the family.

One of the reasons I love the CUP so, is that people gather together here each day and pray for one another. Even thou many of us have never met face to face we know each other. We become family. I love it when I go some where and someone comes up to me and says, “I know you, your Dewey, I read your CUP everyday!” PRAISE GOD!

Yesterday we told you of the passing of Amy. I talked to her hubby Harry yesterday and we had a wonderful Godly conversation. It was a blessing to be able to talk to Harry. He really appreciates your prayers, he is fully aware of all of you here at the CUP!

Henri leads us to glimpse the reality of our own approaching death, yes our own., but not a death of fear or traumatic., but a “return to the womb of God” Communion with God grows deep inside us and we gradually learn a trust so tangible that we begin to imagine our death as a “letting go” of the swing on the flying trapeze. Henri quotes the trapeze artist Rodleigh , who says, “When I fly to Joe, I have simply to stretch out my arms and hands and wait for him to catch me and pull me safely over the apron behind the catchbar……The worst thing a flyer can do is try to catch the catcher.” Dying is trusting the catcher,” says Henri. “Don’t try to grab Him; He will grab you. Just stretch our your arms and hands and trust, trust, trust.”

I got two notes on Amy yesterday that really touched my heart………….Please read these messages slowly…..such impactful messages from Victor and Sandy.

I am so sad to hear of Amy’s passing. While I never met her in person, I read of her fight on the Cup and had a memorable encounter with her there. One day last year I was the guest Barista for the Cup and wrote about my fight with chronic back pain. In it I referenced Isaiah 41:10 and turned it in to a personal dialogue with God. I don’t remember exactly what I wrote but after reading it Amy told Dewey she would take it with her to upcoming chemotherapy sessions. I am still blown away by this and moved when I think about it. I saw a post from Dewey on Facebook a few weeks ago about Amy’s condition and offered a written prayer for her there, which she “Liked”. Again, there was a small connection. Clearly Amy fought the good fight and is alive “for reals” now with her Savior. But I think it’s okay to be sad and angry over her loss. Satan and this fallen world have claimed another precious life. This is not how it’s supposed to be, but the victory is temporary. Lord Jesus, please comfort and strengthen Amy’s family and loved ones…and come back soon!

As we mourn the loss here on earth of Amy and Amelia let me share more on Trusting our God Almighty……….This is from David Peach! before you read the following please take time to take out your Bible and just don’t read the verse, read the whole text as David suggests. I know some of you read the CUP at work and don’t have time to study, but please do at home.

Here are some wonderful verses about trust in the Bible. Remember that verses have some larger context. Take time to look up in your Bible the chapter where the verse is found to see the events or other verses surrounding these words. Also, don’t forget to take a couple minutes to view the video “Unchanging” by Chris Tomlin that is posted to the right. It reminds us that we can trust God because He is unchanging.

Trust God; Nothing on Earth Can Compare

Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
Psalm 32:10 “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.”
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Something the Consider: Are you putting your faith and trust in the Lord? Some people seem to trust God with their eternal salvation, but they have trouble trusting Him for their every-day life. Take comfort from these words of scripture. You can trust God with your needs today.

I just received word that Amy Jean Snow Schultz has passed onto heaven of Breast cancer, just in her mid-40’s. I have a message on my phone (I wish I could play the audio for you) from Amy from about 2 weeks ago, weeping and thanking us all for our prayers. You folks here at the CUP made a huge difference in the life of Amy knowing you have been praying for 4 1/2 years.Amy made a huge impact on my life and the life of many, she taught me what FAITH is all about. Amy came into my life because of knowing her Mother Cherie who has worked in Radio Ministry. I had Sandy Harrington put Amy on her radio show 4 1/2 years ago when Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer and we have been with Amy since. Amy got on Sandy’s show and first and foremost her main concern was not of herself it was to educate women on breast cancer. Here is a note that was posted about Amy from the Breast cancer Network……..

Just a week ago today we introduced you to our dear sister Amy Schultz little did we know, we would be offering our sympathies to her family a few days later. Amy passed away this morning. Diagnosed at age 41, stage four IBC she was a great source of emotional support to women with IBC and an advocate for IBC education and research funding. She was a dear woman with a heart so full of love and support for others. We will miss her greatly. I will miss her always. Peace be with all her family at this difficult time.

My friend Amy Jean Snow Schultz passed away this morning. What a strong, loving, brave, vibrant woman. I will miss her beautiful voice and her wit and the way she positively glowed when she spoke about her husband Harry Victor Schultz and son, Willy. Please remember them in your prayers tonight. I know Amy and I will sing together again someday, and the choir will be awesome!

I already miss you my beloved gift from God Amy Jean Snow Schultz. I know I don’t have to tell you to rest in peace….you’ll do whatever, whenever you think it is appropriate…..I know you are with your Jesus and I know he loves you as much as we do. I love you my beautiful daughter. “Love you forever”.
Thank you for your wonderful gift of Willie Schultz and bringing us Harry Victor Schultz. We remain family forever.

Amy was a tremendous Testimony to us all…….a teacher of young children in school and a teacher to us all up until entering heaven. I developed a strong relationship with her Mom Cherie and then Amy. Thank you Amy for the lessons you have taught me about FAITH.

These words by Henri Nouwen fit so well this day….because it is through prayer that I met Amy………

Prayer is a way of life which allows you to find stillness in the midst of the world where you open your hands to God’s promises and find hope for yourself, your neighbor and your world. In prayer, you encounter God not only in a small voice and soft breeze, but also in the midst of the turmoil of the world, in the distress and joy of your neighbor, and in the loneliness of your own heart, AMEN!

Let us keep Amy’s family in our prayers………

Kathy Garcia Board member of FGGAM called yesterday and said that her granddaughter Marissa has viral meningitis, please continue to pray for healing.

Also pray for Pastor Jim Montoya‘s Mother-in-law, Amelia who has been placed in Hospice due to heart problems she is 94 years of age.

Boy do we need another CUP! At 5:17am it’s 21 degrees!

DEWEY MOEDE SENATOR 2014 from the state of NEW MEXICO !!!!

I do not see this at this point. I am touched by S. E.’s love! Many have approached me over the years to run for public office. Maybe some day God will lead me there. Thank you S.E. for your love and respect in our Lord. Many yet to this day say this miss me on radio. I get calls every week asking me to go back on radio.That was a season of the past. It may come again, Sharon thinks so.

Discernment is so important. Please understand this, The Lord called me out of KKIM. He told me to go out and Preach the Word and that is what I am doing, and now Sharon has joined me. It is so important to stay on the path that the Lord has for us.

One of the huge problems in our World is the lack of Godly Discernment…..it will save your life…….

A.W. Tozer: “Among the gifts of the Spirit scarcely one is of greater practical usefulness than the gift of discernment. This gift should be highly valued and frankly sought as being almost indispensable in these critical times. This gift will enable us to distinguish the chaff from the wheat and to divide the manifestations of the flesh from the operations of the Spirit.”

The powers of the darkness around us are strong, and our world finds it easier to manipulate self-rejecting people than self-accepting people.

In yesterday’s CUP I used this verse………….

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deu 31:8

We hear the Lord……I hear the Lord and you can too with a personal relationship with Him.
Right now I am getting told much what I should do….but only what the Lord says is what you and I should do.

God may be calling you out, but you do not hear Him.

I am right where the Lord has me intended to be.

It is not always a comfortable spot……We are just human………but it is where the Lord has me and Sharon.

We are standing in the gap for God.

The Lord does not always take us where we want to be!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL

The Lord dragged me out of KKIM! LOL LOL…..Kicking and screaming!!

True service to our Lord is not always comfortable in the flesh.

But I know I am right where the Lord intends me to be, He is showing me that everyday.

I posted this yesterday on Facebook…….as I continue to work at this new season in my life……

Today I am going thru 56 years of “stuff” memories and collections while I clean up my office and get ready for a new season. I am crying, I am laughing, Most of all I am thanking my Lord for the memories and all that He has done for me!

God may be calling you out, are you hearing the Lord?

You and I must see ourselves as a Reward to people…to be celebrated where we go!

At times we must dust our feet off!

If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet. Matt 10:14

That has been hard for me to learn. I want to help everybody! But not everybody wants your help and will not listen to your words that are given to you by the Lord.

Dearest Dewey, Just this week my precious Uncle who was also a Vet of WWII, died, we are planning on going to his funeral on Weds…. The day before he died it was on my heart to call him, and in his whisper I could hear him tell me he loved me. That call made me Praise God that he put it on my heart to call him. He was a few hundred miles from me. But we joined in that moment with Jesus. And we shall join again in times to come. Praise God. My sister told me the next day she was awakened right at the time of his death. I told her maybe he came by to visit her at that moment. She had tears.
We are losing a lot of the Greatest Generation. And it is heartbreaking. But we shall see them again.
We must all Pray without ceasing for our Leaders. No matter how you feel about the outcome of the election. God’s Plan’s are not Our Plan’s. He Knows! I believe with all my heart a Great Awakening is happening in America. And I thank God for that.

Wanted to reshare with you , what I experienced when I was about 33 yrs old. ( I’m now 55 ) I felt like I had to hold onto God , and I went to my pastor for counsel. I told him I was holding tight onto what I thought of as my ” God rope ” but I was growing weary and was genuinely concerned that i would let go !! I was FRIGHTENED and weary. My pastor had no idea at the time that what he was about to say to me would have a life – altering effect. He said it was okay to let go of the rope. ( Me: I thought ” WHAT !? ” ) He said it was okay. That God had me. That day I left and let go of my ” God -rope ” and I felt FREE !! I somehow had gotten it into my head , that * I * was holding onto God , and learned that day , that God was holding onto *me * . I’ll never forget it.
