Pastor/TV Weatherman Steve Stucker said the following about Pastor Greg Griego who along with his wife and three of his children were shot to death by their son………This is a God given Testimony on the life of Pastor Greg, it is a Testimony I pray that will said about us all when we die here on earth…..

“Greg never felt like anybody was too far gone to be turned around. He’d seen it happen in himself and felt comfortable in honestly sharing his past struggles with those who were struggling now as proof positive that a relationship with Jesus can change your life. Greg was really driven to do this. He was constantly thinking about it, talking about it. And more importantly, he got out and did it.”

I pray this will be said about me when I die, and about you!

The struggle Paul had in taking part in killing Christians, then being struck down by God, then blinded and then Paul saw the light and became the greatest Evangelist for God!

I am also driven to tell the World about this man named Jesus and to live my life as a testimony as to the greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray you are to!

The Testimony of Pastor Greg, as Pastor Steve says, “He was constantly thinking about it (being in constant prayer, listening for the Lord) talking about it. And more importantly, he got out and did it.”

WOW! What a testimony…….Pastor Greg sets the bar for all of us!

Too many talk…too few go out and do it!

of us have a disability! God is with us, God is in our heart, we all have some type of disability, but it must not stop us from telling the story of Jesus Christ. Your disability may be anger, hurt, drinking booze, drugs, learning, physical, gossip,(Yes, gossiping is a disability) but God can overcome all of that if you will let HIM into your life. The site of the Cowboy and his determination to tell his story melt’s hearts for Jesus! Oh my friends look what our Lord has done and is doing with the life of the Cowboy! AMEN PRAISE GOD! Ps.Cowboy messaged me yesterday and said he is about out of the FGGAM brochures, he is out on his motorized wheelchair handing out information on FGGAM! What an example he is for all of us!

This is our little guy Reno who has a cancerous growth, surgery is scheduled we would be thankful for your prayers, we believe that he is healed in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen Amen!

January 22, 2013. Make every effort to show mercy. Move about with gentleness. Yield to the wind of My Spirit. Flow like a gentle stream or feather on the wind. Let My kindness roll like honey off of the comb. Much like you watch honey flow down onto whatever you’re putting it on to eat, consider the hearts and minds of others before you speak or act. Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

We all here in New Mexico are mourning for the Loss of Pastor Greg Griego, his wife Sarah and three of their 10 children, 2 year old Angelina, 5 year old Jael, and 9 year old Zephania. They were all killed by gun fire from the Griego’s 15 year old son Nehemiah.

Jesus wept…….. John 11:35

We see in Luke 19:41, that as Jesus approached Jerusalem right after the wonderful Palm Sunday reception He received, it says, “When he saw the city, he wept over it.”
He went on to explain that it was because the people of Jerusalem were blowing it and a day of reckoning was coming. It pierced His heart.

Sharon and are in mourning for the loss of the Griego family, as we mourn for our Country. Have we blown it for our children? What kind of world have we given them to grow up in?

Yesterday when I was preparing to leave to Preach in Los Lunas at the Open Door Church of God I got the news from Pastor Steve Stucker and newsman Peter St. Cyr It shook me to the core. I nearly vomited. I awoke last night gasping for my breath. We are killing our children with the world we have created.

Experience has shown this to be true. But after you walk through the storm in His calm, He brings the storm to an end – once He has accomplished His work in you. Those changes in you would only happen in the storm.

Heartbroken over the deaths of my Friend Greg Griego & his beautiful family! Praying for our Calvary family, and all who knew and loved this One of a Kind Man. His death will be a real blow to the hundreds of men in lock up, who he helped turn around through the love of Jesus. Pastor & Chaplain Griego set a high bar for each of us to reach for.

Fire Chief’s statement on shooting victim: The Albuquerque Fire Department mourns the senseless loss of one of our spiritual counselors, Greg Griego. Chaplin Griego was a dedicated professional that passionately served his fellow man and the firefighters of this community. His calming spirit and gentle nature will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg’s extended family.

Morning Inspiration: We try to live in such a way that no one will be hindered from finding the Lord by the way we act, and so no one can find fault with our ministry. In everything we do we try to show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every time. 2nd Corinthians 6:3-4

Most people would be shocked at what those serving in Ministry (and their families) face on a daily basis. I thought I was pretty well aware of it before, but the past few years as a Chaplain & Pastor have really been eye opening. Please take time today to pray for your Pastors & Ministry Leaders, and especially their families. They are attacked repeatedly, in a wide variety of ways, including all out Spiritual warfare. For those of you Serving, take heart in these words from Paul. He stayed filled with faith all the way through…and with Jesus as your guiding light, you will too. Lord, help us to minister to others, in a way that reflects beautifully on you.

I concur with Steve’s words about seeing more and more spiritual attacks. Love your Lord more than ever, Love on your family, treasure your family. Do not go to bed at night mad…..mad at anybody, make sure your Children, even if they are adult children, that they are safe in our Lord.

I continue my study of Sermon on the Mount aided by Pastor Steve Hickey. This is what I have been studying the last few days and it fits so well with what has been happening in America and just what happened in Albuquerque…….

Our society has become to hard headed, hearts are hard. President Lincoln said in the midst of his battle against slavery, “I feel sorry for the man who can’t FEEL the whip when it is laid across another man’s back.” I just look at some of the posts here on facebook from other Christians and get sad.
People become so callous and numb, they never let suffering touch them. Somehow many have bought into the lie that the better life is the pain-free life—that sorrow and suffering are not “spiritual.” I fear this lie has crept into the church. Somewhere along the line, we picked up the faulty notion that if you are filled with the Spirit of God you will have a perpetual grin on your face. That is not so. The closer we grow to Christ doesn’t mean the further we drift from the pain of sorrow in life. In fact, it is opposite. Jesus was a “man of sorrows, acquainted with grief” Isaiah 53:3. The more we grow into His likeness, the more we experience the pain and sorrow He experiences.

As we enter into the pain and sorrow of life, we become all that God intended us to be, experiencing the fullness of life that God has for us.

Our society vales freedom from pain and sorrow. Please read about the life of Paul and what he went through, and became the greatest Evangelist for our Lord.

Our society is an age addicted to keeping the good feelings rolling.

Yet, Jesus taught pain serves a purpose, that pain isn’t wasted in God’s economy. Jesus pronounced the blessing of heaven on those who “mourn.” This is the harder but higher road of the Kingdom.

The world’s beatitude is, “Happy are those who are never sad.”

Matt. 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
The “mourning” Jesus was stamping the blessing of God on was not just for mourning at times of death or physical pain. It referred to the times of spiritual death and pain when we realize our poverty of spirit, that we are bankrupt before God, spiritually dead outside of His mercy and grace. These facts pierce us to the core of who we are, causing spiritual grief.

In 2 Cor. 7: 8-11 Paul writes about two kinds of sorrow…….

Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it—-I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while—-yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. See what this godly sorrow has produced in you……

We will continue to be in mourning for the Griego family, and for our Country.

Assemblies of God tends to a rapidly growing flock

Hands up and eyes closed, Ashley Ingram sways and sings along with the live band playing contemporary Christian music at River Valley Church.
The largest Assemblies of God congregation in Minnesota with close to 5,000 people, River Valley recently opened its sixth Twin Cities area campus, located near the Vikings headquarters in Eden Prairie, where Ingram and her fiancé worship on Sundays.
“It’s very emotional for us,” said Ingram, 23, who grew up attending traditional Lutheran services but now prefers the charismatic style at River Valley. “Especially the first couple of weeks we were here, I wasn’t used to it. I would cry at every service. The teachings just touch you.”
River Valley sits at the epicenter of growth in evangelical Protestant groups while the larger Catholic, Lutheran and other mainline Protestant populations slide. The Assemblies of God ranked as the fastest-growing religious body in Minnesota between 2000 and 2010, according to religious census data. The denomination gained the largest number of worshippers during that decade, increasing from 56,028 followers and 212 congregations, to 75,302 and 234.
The Rev. Clarence St. John, district superintendent of the Assemblies of God churches in Minnesota, says the growth is part of a concerted effort to “plant” new churches. Since 1990, it has started 134 new churches throughout the state, and plans to add 70 more by 2020. Twenty more should be added this year.
“We kind of have a church-planting fever,” said St. John. “I think it is our responsibility to spread the faith as much as we can. If we really think what we have in our faith is something that helps people live and prepares them for life and for eternity, then we have a responsibility to do our best.”
‘We’re the best-kept secret’
Senior Pastor Rob Ketterling established River Valley’s main campus in Apple Valley in 2000, when attendance was close to 500. That number now swells to nearly 5,000 every week, counting the new campuses in Eden Prairie and Burnsville the church started this past fall.
Ketterling attributes much of the church’s steady growth to an active ministry for children that attracts young families, vibrant contemporary worship services and a pastoral approach that applies the Scriptures’ significance to everyday life.
“People have said we’re kind of the best-kept secret in church growth in Minnesota,” Ketterling said. “We’re just finally starting to get noticed.”
The church raised more than $1.5 million for ministry projects around the world, he said. It supports a campus in Spain and is preparing to open a church and orphanage in Swaziland, Africa, in February.
“They [congregants] feel like they’re going on a mission to do something, that we’re here to change this world, and they actually feel like they’re making a difference,” Ketterling said. “Our giving went up 29 percent last year at a time when most churches would have been thrilled to be flat or barely above that. To me that shows people are believing in it.”
Ingram and her fiancé, Steven Claiborne, 23, started going to River Valley’s Eden Prairie campus after learning about it from one of the pastors, whose children attended the day care where Ingram worked.
Besides enjoying the contemporary worship style, Ingram says the congregation has been welcoming and hasn’t judged her and Claiborne for having a child out of wedlock. The couple also like the children’s ministry at the church, where they bring their 16-month-old son each Sunday during worship.
“Although they encourage us to read the Bible, it’s not just strictly teaching of the Bible,” Ingram said. “It’s taking a verse from the Bible and relating it to our life, and how we can use it in our life. So that’s what I think is really cool.”
A changing church scene
The Assemblies of God has seen significant growth in other states as well. It ranks as the third-fastest growing religious body in the United States, with close to 2.94 million followers, according to the census. Data for the census was collected by the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies and includes statistics for 236 religious groups.
While the Catholic Church remains the largest denomination nationally and in Minnesota, its membership has dropped sharply since 2000. Minnesota had 1.15 million Catholics in 2010, down 8.7 percent from 1.26 million in 2000. The ELCA, Minnesota’s second-largest denomination, saw membership dip to 737,537, a 13.6 percent decline from 853,448.
Scott Thumma, a researcher at the Hartford Institute for Religious Research in Connecticut who helped compile the data, says evangelical Protestant denominations like the Assemblies of God offer a more expressive, physical kind of worship that’s dramatically different from the more traditional worship services of Catholic and mainline Protestant faiths.
The influx of Hispanics in the United States and Minnesota has also helped boost charismatic faith groups like the Assemblies of God, Thumma notes.

Sergio Aranda is senior pastor at Taller del Maestro, an Assemblies of God congregation on the East Side of St. Paul with a predominantly Hispanic membership. He said he started with about 11 followers in 2008 and now has close to 130. Minnesota’s growing Hispanic population — which numbers around 250,000, based on 2010 U.S. Census data — has helped boost membership in the Assemblies of God and other evangelical churches in the state
The big faith groups like Catholics and ELCA Lutherans “still kind of dominate the field,” said Thumma. “But these smaller groups — all the Pentecostals together, the evangelicals, the nondenominationals — are really filling in the gap where these larger groups traditionally very prominent are in fact losing dramatically.
“It’s only a matter of time before the balance of power really changes. At the very least what it does is take something that was very homogenous … and it’s making it much more diverse. For some place like Minnesota, that’s pretty dramatic.”

January 21, 2013. You are at a critical point in your life. Where you are right now physically is the result of past decisions you or others have made. Very important assessments lie in front of you. As in times past, you have the choice to accept or deny opportunities set before you. Seek Me first. Search for wise counsel. Strengthen yourself deeper into My word. Consider fasting with proper humility for the fast approaching times ahead of you. Know that testing will come your way at a rapid pace. Prepare your heart and mind wholeheartedly. Satan is about to test you in surreal areas. My Spirit will guide you at every junction.

When I thought of Karen Rowe this morning in my prayers for her cancer surgery on the 24th, the Lord led me to those words.

Everything about Karen is about God…….her life, her family, her work is all about for God’s Glory! Here is a note from Karen on how she is doing leading up to the surgery……..You will, like me, learn from Karen’s ongoing Testimony……..

I am doing ok. Just keep praying for me … for at times I do get weak, and it is then that prayers lift me up and when I am strong, I know that prayers are keeping me there. There is power in prayer. and in my weakness, HE is strong…God’s glory will be seen, because I am weak, but HE is strong and in HIM, I have great faith and am made extremely strong.
So I am really ok.

Sharon and I were invited by Pastor Leonard Navarre and his lovely wife Diana to go to Leonard’s Birthday dinner last night! What fun in the Lord! AMEN! You know our TV program is titled, “Dewey and Friends”, and that is really what our Ministry is…it is fueled by friends like you! Wherever the Lord has sent me over my 56 years I have been blessed by many friends. Whatever I have achieved has been greatly aided by friends like you! I have always tried to value friendships, they are precious! The Daily Cup has built friends all over the World! Being at KKIM was one of the greatest blessings in my life as I made so many, many friends forever and ever! Now, Sharon and I are making more and more friends in the ministry the Lord has given us here at FGGAM!
I value so much, Godly honest relationships, where they are founded in the Lord. Honest, no gossip, nothing held back. These are precious relationships. We do not hear the word precious much anymore, I grew up being taught to take care of the precious things in life. Let us this day celebrate our precious relationships that God has given us! AMEN! Call some people today and tell them that they are precious to you! Make that call now! Okay? Remember a Christian Friendship, Trusts at all times.
We, the Body of Christ, can achieve great things for our Lord as long as we are together!

5 Traits of True Christian Friends

So, what does a true Christian friendship look like? Let’s break it down into traits that are easy to identify.

Christian Friends Love Sacrificially

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (NIV)

Jesus is the finest example of a true Christian friend. His love for us is sacrificial, never selfish. He demonstrated it not only through his miracles of healing, but more fully through the humble service of washing the disciples’ feet, and then ultimately, when he laid down his life on the cross.
If we choose our friends based only on what they have to offer, we’ll rarely discover the blessings of a genuine friendship. Philippians 2:3 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” By valuing your friend’s needs above your own, you’ll be on your way to loving like Jesus. In the process, you’ll likely gain a true friend.

Christian Friends Accept Unconditionally

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (NIV)

We discover the best of friendships with brothers and sisters who know and accept our weaknesses and imperfections.
If we’re easily offended or hold on to bitterness, we’ll have a hard time making friends. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes now and then. If we take a truthful look at ourselves, we’ll admit that we bear some of the blame when things go wrong in a friendship. A good friend is quick to ask forgiveness and ready to be forgiving.

Christian Friends Trust Completely

Proverbs 18:24
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (NIV)

This proverb reveals that a true Christian friend is trustworthy, indeed, but emphasizes a second important truth as well. We should only expect to share complete trust with a few loyal friends. Trusting too easily can lead to ruin, so be careful about putting your confidence in a mere companion. Over time our true Christian friends will prove their trustworthiness by sticking closer than a brother or sister.

Christian Friends Keep Healthy Boundaries

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy … (NIV)

If you feel smothered in a friendship, something is wrong. Likewise, if you feel used or abused, something is amiss. Recognizing what’s best for someone and giving that person space are signs of a healthy relationship. We should never let a friend come between us and our spouse. A true Christian friend will wisely avoid intruding and recognize your need to maintain other relationships.

Christian Friends Give Mutual Edification

Wounds from a friend can be trusted … (NIV)

True Christian friends will build each other up emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Friends like to be together simply because it feels good. We receive strength, encouragement, and love. We talk, we cry, we listen. But at times we also have to say the difficult things our dearest friend needs to hear. Yet, because of the shared trust and acceptance, we are the one person who can impact our friend’s heart, for we know how to deliver the hard message with truth and grace. I believe this is what Proverbs 27:17 means when it says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
My hope is that these five traits will show you areas that may need a little work in your effort to build stronger friendships. But if you don’t have lots of close friends, don’t be too hard on yourself. Remember, true Christian friendships are rare treasures. They take time to nurture, but in the process we grow more Christlike.

Yesterday was such a blessing in the taping of two programs, the first with Sister Mabel Lopez of Transformation Ministries and Christ Full Deliverance Ministries. I have known Mabel for years and she is a strong Women of God with a strong message on prayer and the Holy Spirit! This program, like the one with Pastor Bill will encourage you so much in our Lord! This program will air next Saturday and then the one with Dwight Brown in the picture with me and Mable will air the following Saturday which will be Feb 2nd.Dwight has a very strong testimony, WOW! These are three of the most important programs I have done in my life! AMEN! Remember you can watch our programs on our web site www.fggam.org we also post them on facebook and youtube.We are getting such a strong response from the TV program, reaching people one at a time for our Lord Jesus Christ! Sharon and I pray for each of you and yours each day as we go forth for God’s Glory Alone. The Lord has shown me to add a Board member with strengths we need. He is a man who knows how to bring the body of Christ together, as he has worked for years to bring God’s people together, Evangelicals and Catholics, just one of the missions we have at FGGAM. He also has strong roots in Northern New Mexico which are important to FGGAM because we have many supporters from that area. Mr. Vasquez is the president of the Barnabas Institute. Mr. Vasquez served as contract manager for Alcohol and Drug Programs in Marin County, California and Principal at Fred Finch Youth Center, in Oakland, California. Mr. Vasquez has been a practicing psychotherapist in private practice in Albuquerque, NM and in San Rafael, CA.
Mr. Vasquez is the publisher of the On the Way a Christian eNewsletter. He is the administer of the Santa Fe Prayer Net, a prayer program for churches, and in that capacity visits approximately 50 churches yearly. Mr. Vasquez coordinates Thursday Morning Prayer Group. In addition he is the Executive Director of the New Mexico Watchman, a New Mexico Legislature assessment organization.

WOW, this morning’s CUP really spoke to my heart. We just have to find a time to meet and have coffee or lunch together……I was praying for you just yesterday, and The Lord laid it on my heart that he wants FGGAM and The Family Lifeline to work together for the Kingdom….we are both doing kingdom work….and He is leading Rebecca and I further and further away from the “secular” focus that we had, and more and more into the work of the kingdom. We are praying with our clients, and sharing the gospel with them….we are no longer bound by the ties that once held us back…..this is truly ministry.

Thanks for your faithfulness Dewey. You inspire me!!
